IC: Sidonas - Crawler
Sidonas was angry at the fact that Rahkshi were still left in Visorak, but he needed to, once again, keep himself calm. He looked over at Recoil's unconscious form, practically tempted to make conversation with her even though he knew she would not respond. "Heh, you're going to not be happy when you found out what lunacy I've attempted and avoided. I wish you were awake so we could talk. The things I would do to hear your voice again... You better be alright, Makuta knows what I'll do if you're not.." Sidonas muttered. He was angry, angry at himself, angry at his situation, angry at the condition of those he considered friends. He just wanted to punch something, or to make it all stop, to find the nearest forge and craft something, anything he could to help someone. Karz, he would sacrifice his hands if he could help those still on Visorak.
Sidonas, needing to release his rage at the predicament, slammed his fist into the wall of the Crawler. It hurt, but the pain was not his concern at the time. He looked over at Recoil's unconscious body and griped. "I need you! Why can't you wake up and help me?! I'm falling apart and cannot do anything to help anyone! I'm useless!" Sidonas said, not caring who heard or saw him. He was angry, he cared little for the opinions of others. All he wanted was to fix this, fix at least one thing at the situation before him. He slammed his fist into the wall again, angry and his mind clouded in rage and aggravation.
IC: Vitesse
"Currently, I am a little busy, so I will not be able to show you around." Turning to Venom, She says, "thanks anyways, I will be off." Vitesse went off, stepping over the unconscious body of Eps. Alright, back I go. Nobody in there seemed to be a teleported, she thought to herself. She headed back to the closet.
OOC: Vitesse open for interaction in the hallways.
IC: Dakilik
Dakilik saw no one nearby. So, since he's insane and all, he walked into the infirmary, and poked around, looking for patients to talk to about Blade and his other best enemies.
OoC: Apparently, Dakilik's narrator is crazy, too. Yay.
Also, any Rahks in the infirmary, PLZ TALK TO MEEE.
IC: Alpha/Crawler
I or rather my writer just realized a chance for character development something. Exxan wasn't here. A part of me was glad that I didn't have to see him again...the other part kinda felt bad.
And that isn't what one would normally feel like.
I sighed and curled up in my chair, tired and waiting.
IC Doubt
And... Don't get too warm on the reception or you'll set me on fire. (sarcasm)
He slowly turned and roamed the halls, hoping he knew where he was going. There was a bunch of rooms coming up, though. Maybe a dormitory?
IC Vaalku
Aaaaaand the Gym. How many times he had been here when something bad happened was uncountable, and he Still came back. Maybe he could play in peace...
At least it wasn't too noisy now. He wheeled up next to a corner and began to play.
OOC: Both open to interaction.
IC Kat:
I laid back once more, tired and just wanting to go home.
Palma was gonna throw a fit when she saw us all.
That shark guy was unusually still. Even for someone who was unconscious. His breathing was too deep, too evenly spaced.
He was good. I was better.
Or.... I thought I was. Despite being two levels beyond him, he'd nearly beaten me.
Only because I lost my cool.
I guess I couldn't use rage to fuel my victories any more.
My eyes flitted over to Fang. To Sidonas. To Alpha. To Cao, still actually out. To my own hands.
Hands that were scuffed and faded from heavy combat. My left palm still had a dent from shark boy's sword. My right still broken, the knuckles crushed and mangled.
I let my arms fall to my sides.
Despite everything I'd been through, I was not indestructible.
None of us were, I thought grimly, glancing at the now sealed door of the Crawler.
It was up to me, now. Some how, I had to bring them all together. Somehow I had to start the rebellion.
I knew just the Rahkshi to start with.
I needed to find Illusive.
IC Poly:
We stepped forward.
"Vaalku. We are Legion. Would you care to spar with us?"
IC: Venom - Hallways
Venom turned towards Illusive as the others left and began signing.
So did you like what you saw, or do I need to perfom an encore and do better next time?
IC: Illusive - Hallways.
"It was.... satisfactory." I signed, with the barest hint of a smile.
IC: "Enough of telling me who we don't have, tell me who we do have!" Suvak responded to Fang and Sidonas, "Then we can work out who's missing and maybe Tridax will do something about it when he finally shows his arrogant face again!"
IC: "Very well, I hope to hear from you again sometime," Grossh said, "Juleeka will see you out and take you back to the boat on the First Tier."
IC: Venom - Hallways
Good. Now if you don't mind, I'd best be off to the infirmary. Don't want to bleed out in the hallways, now do we?
And with that, Venom began limping away in order to see to her injuries.
IC: Torch - Nynrah
"Hang...on..." With a crackling crunch the hut gave up and collapsed in a shower of sparks. I nod to Shock and jump into flight mode, hovering for a second before zooming forwards, heading for the edge of the blazing village.
IC: Raith - Library
I approach Nymph carefully...
IC: Illusive - Hallways.
I nodded as she left, then looked down at the unconscious rahk she'd left in her wake. It would be so easy to...
No. You don't want to do this.
For once, I found myself agreeing with the voice.
IC: Zelnos | House of Grossh
"Thank you," said Zelnos, his voice cutting in from the back. No-one seemed to notice him much. Probably because his writer hasn't been posting.
IC: Yuna | Hallways
A rahkshi walked through Corpus' archway. The umbrella which was closed, had been open to protect against the dawn that escaped through the cloudy sky.
"What do you think Deemo. Should we go look for big brother?" She asked the small crab in her arms, already wandering.
OOC: Yuna open for interaction
IC: Nymph
my arm slides out and removes a grenade from the satchel.
Did you just-
yes
That's MY arm!
mine now
I swear, if you were real I would punch you in the faceplate. Hard.
no you wouldn't
...
IC: Eps
Eps' left eye opened a little. He could take more of a beating than Venom realized. He tried to pull himself up.
IC: Illusive - Hallways.
He tried to pull himself up...
....only to find my foot sweeping down towards his back, aiming to crush him back onto the floor.
Where he belonged.
IC: Eps
Eps fell to the ground again. He gritted his fangs. He was going to kill them both.
IC: Vlad / Empty Dorm Wing
"Oh." Yes, that made sense. "Vell zen, ve should probably put him in a dorm room, on zer bed. It vould be good if ve could immobilize him somehow as vell, so zat he cannot try to escape unt get himself killed, even if vithout legs zat vill probably not be much of a problem."
* * *
IC: Shark / Crawler
Yes, there were definitely other level ups. Unfortunate.
IC: Sidonas - Crawler
"Alright! Alright!" Sidonas yelled back at Suvak, angry. "Ok. Guys..." Sidonas grabbed a piece of paper from his bag and a pencil. "First off, let's find out who we have that is conscious. Everyone state your name and I'll mark it down. Then we'll identify anyone who isn't awake." Sidonas wrote 'CONSCIOUS' at the top of the paper, he then wrote down his own name.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
IC: Haken - Entrance
Haken stepped through the doors, his shield in hand. The brute looked around, wondering how large this school that Antroz sent him to was.
OOC: Haken open for interaction.
IC: Recoil
"ughh....present." Recoil croaked.
IC: Shock
Shock reverted to flight mode and followed Torch. They had to get out of here.
IC: Vitesse
Vitesse was rounding the corner when she saw- wings, attached to a much larger body, near the closet. Her eyes widened. Oh no... Anybody but him. Slowly, she approached, careful not to make a sound.
IC: Mortsia
Mortsia prepared the bed. "Take his mask off." He said regularly. That would keep him unconscious for a bit.
IC Grim:
At last, they'd come to Corpus. Landing upon the rocky soil with two metallic clanks, Grim looked up at the massive fortress.
It was crude. A roughly hewn stone.
Perfect.
The large double doors were impressive, if impractical. It mattered little. No one would dare attack a fortress teeming with Rahkshi.
They stepped inside, a mace hanging loosely from a loop on their waist. Their hands wore large plated gauntlets, and a round metal buckler was strapped to their left arm. Their body was well armoured.
Gorast's spawn had arrived.
OOC: open for interaction.
IC Vaalku
At first Vaalku wanted to yelp and shove the wheelchair at Poly's face. Then again, this is the first person who gave him the option to spar instead of flat-out trying to murder him. Very well, I guess. I may regret this.
"...Okay." He stood up and set the harp in the wheelchair.
IC Doubt
Wandering back the way he came in an attempt to figure things out, Doubt saw a couple Rahks in the main enterance: One had a scythe which was pretty impressive for size, the other was wielding a shield. They both looked like they just arrived, though.
"Hello there." He said with slight confidence. "Welcome to Corpus."
IC: Sidonas - Crawler
Sidonas wrote Recoil's name down on the list of those who were awake. He looked over at her and grinned an affectionate smile, as seeing her awake and mostly alright began to cool him down. "Glad to see you're awake. Not sure what I'd do if you weren't. Give me a minute to do a headcount and we'll talk. Are you alright?"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
IC: Haken - Entrance
Haken looked at Doubt, whose name he did not know. "Hello. I am Haken. And you are?" He extended his hand.
Well, this fellow seems kind. Not sure about the other fellow though, but he, or she, seems like they could be worthy of dueling me in combat.
IC: Recoil
"Fang up my arm but I'm alright now." Recoil said, smiling a little.
IC Kakarahk:
Kakarahk saw the Rahkshi being kicked to the ground. Bursting towards the Rahkshi that kicked the other one at a speed that would make most Rahkshi tired just by looking at him. he skidded to a stop in front of Illusive and nearly fell over. "Hey! Stop that!" he said indignantly.
IC Doubt
"The name is Doubt." Doubt said, accepting the handshake with two fingers. "I hope you enjoy your time here."
Oh seriously a greeter with hands big enough to grab someone's head and crush it is supposed to be trusted?
IC Grim:
"Greetings."
Their voice was low, almost like a growl.
IC: Draco
Footsteps. That is what he heard behind him. He turned around to see a familiar face. "Well hello, Vitesse." Draco said. Oh, how he was going to enjoy this.
IC: Vitesse
Karz. Draco had seen her. Trying to keep her voice. Calm, she responded evenly. "Draco. I see your vocabulary has improved." Inside, she was panicking. Why was he here? Of course. He was everything Icarax would have ever wanted, so why was he here?
IC Poly:
We looked over our foe, as if actually seeing him for the first time.
"You are ill suited for fighting."
IC: Punch/Punch's Mind
Punch wasn't paying attention as he just fell asleep.
The three beings met once more.
~...Thanks, Counter.~
~Whatever.~
~No, seriously. Thanks.~
~...~
Silence.
IC: Fang - Crawler
"I'm here," he called wearily to Sidonas. She shot a quick glance at Recoil, but he couldn't bear to look at the one he had nearly killed. Her gentle reminder just added one more thing to feel guilty about.
He looked around for those he knew, and figured what few there were could answer for themselves. Well, maybe... "And... Kat's here as well."
IC: Jayar / House of Grossh
"I will be sure to write to you again then," Jayar told the goldsmith, standing. "And perhaps we can return sometime. This has been an enjoyable trip, and I thank you for your hospitality." Hospitality... bribery? Hmm... no, probably not, not in this case anyways.
IC Vaalku
"... I'm kinda aware of that." Vaalku said. Had what's-his-name not noticed? he was in a wheelchair.
IC Doubt
Doubt nodded to Grim. Something told him it was not best to shake hands with that sort.
"Very well, do you have any questions?"
IC: Sidonas - Crawler
Sidonas began to speak, listening also for anyone who called out their name. "My hands got burnt up, as for my arm? That'll be a story for later. Short story of what you missed is the Visorak attacked, we evacuated, and all you see here are those we could rescue. Suvak patched you up but said you needed to rest, so I went on with some stuff he told me to do." Sidonas stopped, jogging down Kat and Fang's names on the list. Sidonas turned back to Recoil, sighing "Look, I..Recoil, I should have been the one to take the hit. I could and I should have thrown myself in the way of Fang's plasma when I could. You got hurt and I could have done something to prevent it. I was too slow, too cowardly. I am so sorry, and you don't need to forgive me. I blame myself. I blame myself for everything. For being stupid enough to commit a hiest like I did, for making stupid tactical moves that cost us, did you know I ran into a fight I knew there was a chance of losing? I was nearly killed. My plans and tactics have done nothing to help anyone, and my inventions a failure. I have no friends or anyone close but you, and because of me you were hurt. What kind of person does that make me?" Sidonas sighed, his head hung down.
IC: Haken - Entrance
Haken looked at Doubt. "Say, where can a fellow get a good meal and fight a good battle around here?"
IC Doubt
That was an interesting question. "Well, follow me and I shall give you the tour."
You idiot you don't even know your way around
IC: Haken - Entrance
Haken, putting his shield on his back, followed Doubt. "Where to first?" He said in his gruff voice.
IC Doubt
"Well, I think you'll like this first place pretty well."
Stalstallstallstallstallstallstallstall
IC: Recoil
"It's alright. It wasn't your fault."
IC Grim:
They'd studied the layout of the school. There was one place they needed to go.
The Gym.
A wide, grand room.
Perfect to show their skills.
IC Poly:
"We could assist in this."
