IC: Revenge-Infirmary
Revenge walked into the infirmary to see... "Rider? How did you get in here?"
IC: Shock
Shock stumbled, but in retaliation, he let the energy of him flow through the staff he was holding. Meanwhile, he was doing the same with his sword, intending for the energy to flow through the knife.
IC: Mangai
Mangai wrenched back on the staff, instinctively trying to pull away. The electricity stiffened his arm into place while still yanking on Shock's arm, stretching it to its limits. His knife on the other hand, he dropped before his fingers stiffened around it and grabbed for Shock's sword arm with his now free hand.
IC: Shock
Shock brought his foe closer to him by pulling back with his arms, before aiming a heavy kick at Kuma's chest.
IC: Vitesse
Whose voice was that? Mangai? Scoops? Vaalku? She could not tell in her current state.
IC: Sidonas - Hallways
When the mace came back up, Sidonas jumped backwards, feeling the mace cut at his chest.
Agh! That Karzing brakas! When I get the opportunity to, I will beat this Rahkshi to the ground!
Anger clouded Sidonas' judgement as to what he would do if he forced a Rahkshi to yield. Normally he would not kill, but if rage built up enough to cloud his reasoning, perhaps he would. Sidonas bolted left and swiped up Hook as he ran, turning around when he had his weapon in hand. He loaded a bolt into the crossbow gauntlet, staring down at his enemy. "You simply will not give up, will you? You attack me when I have done nothing?! No reasoning behind it? You are a fool, blind, and stupid. Yet you call yourself a Rahkshi.."
IC: Haken - Gym
"Let us begin then." Haken charged his opponent, raising his large shield in front of him as defense.
IC Phogen: "I can assure you that some are based in fact, even though the conclusions one could draw from them as it pertains to my character are tenuous at best. I am not the monster you have heard of, my fellow sibling of sound, although I have some of his better qualities." Best to be accurate, but vague. To be an enigma is to be adaptable. So to this one, an enigma he would remain. A friendly enigma, at least. "Who might you be?"
But now onto these two approaching figures. Whispering and observing, with a keen intrest in something about the other derahk. My my, these two seemed like they were new at this deception game. Visibly pausing to talk in secret? Giving away their focus with directional turns of the head? They were up to something. So who would get into something... Uncouth without taking the proper...
Oh. Fang. How entertainingly predictable. Kat was smater than that, though. At least, Phogen hoped she was.
Untangling himself from Hoto, leaving two comforting hands on her shoulders, he decided to make sure the dodge rahkshi was alright before contining. He looked at her and asked "Do you want me to stay here, Hoto?" The attitude was born of actual, genuine concern, but the syntax was tweaked a little to twist Fang's arm a little, and perhaps notify Jayar that he did not have exclusive rights to Hoto.
IC Kat:
My face was one of Sympathy.
"Suppose you've heard the news, then. It's... It's a lot to take."
I nodded at Phogen, "Good to see you again, Phogen. Had a feeling you'd show up again."
On to business.
"Hey, Era? Could I get my urumi back?"
IC Grim:
Their enemy was foolish, speaking and pausing in the middle of battle. While he prattled, Grim thrust out with the heavy head of the mace, the bladed metal ball whistling ever so slightly as it cut the air toward Sidonas' chest once more.
They would not give him the time to recover.
IC: Sidonas - Hallways
Sidonas, in his angry, slightly cocky state that excluded most of his reasoning, was about to speak, when the mace thrust forward. He slid back, firing a bolt at his opponent. "Woah! Note to self: avoid the Rahkshi with the big mace next time.." Sidonas muttered. Slowly he was becoming less angry, as reasoning began to creep in.
You are never this angry. Do not try and pummel this Rahkshi to the ground. Be logical, outsmart this one who only thinks with their weapon, by using your mind and abilities. You are level 3, find out what new tricks you have.
IC Grim:
At close range, the bolt struck true, piercing deeply into Grim's chest.
A single step back.
They raised their buckler, and charged with a war cry, intending to bowl over the other Rahkshi. In the confined area of the Hall, there was little room to maneuver.
They would show this Rahkshi some respect for the Dark Ones.
IC: Jayar / Causeway
"Yeah," he replied disquietedly.
At this point, though, Jayar's distress was not rooted primarily in the deaths, tragic as they were. It came from the fact that in her grief Hoto had turned for comfort, not to him, but Phogen. And from the fact that Phogen knew (of course! it read him like a book!) this was going to hurt him, and emphasized it with a sly twist upon words of concern for his love.
He was growing legitimately... concerned? Angry? Jealous, perhaps? It seemed all too likely that Phogen was going to try to steal Hoto from him, whether out of actual affection (hah!) or simply to gain an ally and punish him, an enemy. And with its talent for manipulation demonstrated already in the devotion Hoto showed it after spending with it but a fraction of the time she had with him, shown similarly in so many others, he could sustain little doubt that it would have little difficulty in doing so if it really tried.
And the thought of losing Hoto to Phogen, of all people, was really quite uncomfortable.
IC: Torch
IC: Glaciem Ignis - Hallways.
Wow.... this guy is weird.
For once, brother, I agree with you.
"That was.... fascinating," we tried to sound polite.
IC Phogen:
IC Kat:
IC: Era - Causeway.
"I'm Era, this is Zivon," I said, gesturing to the small hawk perched on my shoulder, "I believe you, by the way. People said a lot of things about Exxan, but they were wrong about him. I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt as well."
I turned to Kat. "Sorry, I forgot about that. Here." I held out the weapon.
IC: Mangai
IC: Sliver - Hallways.
I chuckled. With the barbed arrow buried in his shoulder, it would be agony for him to move that arm. And it'd hurt even more trying to pull it out. "No one speaks out against the Makuta!" I snarled, reaching into my satchel and pulling out a handful of mirror shards, grinding and breaking them up in my clenched fist, "Especially not in front of their servants!"
I raised my hand and opened my palm, lashing out with a blast of cyclonic energy that sent the glass whipping out towards him like a horizontal hailstorm of pure cruelty.
IC: Shock
Shock was, unfortunately, still in front of Kuma/Mangai. So, as it was, glass shards dug into his lower back. "OY!" Shock yelled. He fell back, stumbling away from Kuma.
IC: Sidonas - Hallways
Karz, confined areas are where an agile, light fighter should not be..But this Rahkshi doesn't realize what Hook or my other inventions double as. I'm calming down and thinking more rationally now. My opponent knows little of this inventor, time to put my inventions to use.
In that moment Sidonas turned Hook's switch to use it as a grapple. He fired the grapple at Grim's leg, hoping the sharp, thick hooks would trip up his opponent or wound them.
IC: Sliver - Hallways.
I hissed in annoyance at the fool who'd somehow stepped into the way of my attack. Thankfully, he'd only caught the edge of the wide blast, and the rest of the glass and air had continued on towards my original target....
IC Grim:
Anger did not cloud Grim's ability to fight.
Unlike some who went into a berserker rage, theirs was a cold, and fittingly Grim determination to end all they knew to be wrong.
This being the case, their innate adaptation powers allowed them to jump easily over the leg ward projectile, given its similarity to Sliver's earlier attack.
They continued their charge.
IC: Fang - Causeway
No, he wasn't going to follow. Whether or not Hoto was over there, or Jayar, or even Kat, he wasn't going near that schemer. No. Absolutely no...
Fang sighed and followed Kat at a distance. He lurked at the fringes of the conversation, trying to focus on anything but Phogen. But he couldn't stop the words from pouring in.
IC: Hoto - Causeway
As Phogen slowly pulled away, Hoto wiped at her eyes, trying in vain to stop the tears. The comfort of Phogen's words and Era's acceptance could only go so far. Was this really how Kat and Fang had felt after Omega died?
Hoto could hear Kat approaching, but she wasn't sure she could bear to have Phogen leave. For her friend's sake and her own. "P-please... stay," she choked out.
IC: Bullseye/Tridax's Office
I called out to him from outside.
"Headmaster? We have an issue that we'd hope you could deal with."
IC Mar'jik:
Mar'jik ran towards Grim, his pace hampered by the heavy axe Tarakava.
IC Fog:
Fog got up off the bed, his ankle having been healed by Palma. He turned and walked off toward the library. First, he had to get some info. Then, he needed to wash himself and his cape.
IC: Shark / Dorms, Outside
Shark headed first for his own dormitory room. He would much prefer to accomplish the act he intended anonymously, and for that an alibi would be useful, even if it were to be something as simple as sleeping. You couldn't come in shot down by Nynrah Ghosts immediately after a murder had taken place twice without earning some suspicion, after all.
But after closing and locking his door Shark did not take to his bed. After grabbing one of his spare pommel rockets to replace the one lost on Visorak, he instead made his way out of his window (his sword came in handy for bashing out an opening large enough for him to fit through) and took to flight, keeping close to the wall at low altitude so that anyone looking out would have to look down along the wall to see him. Now if he was correct, that window there was Dane's... He flew up to it, and peeked in for the briefest moment. There indeed was Dane sitting on his bed, unaware of his impending fate.
Silence field now activated, he flew away from the wall for a short moment, only to come rapidly back towards the window and swing his sword at it. Underneath the fearsome combined onslaught of his flight momentum and sword swing, the window and frame could not stand. Fragments of stone and glass went flying into the room, landing soundlessly on the floor even as Shark did the same. And before the dust could even settle, he proceeded to swing the flat of his massive unnamed sword back at the dorm's unfortunate occupant with intent to knock him unconscious.
With any luck, Dane would never even know what hit him.
IC: Sidonas - Hallways
After the failed hit, Hook retracted quickly, and Sidonas threw himself out of the way, rolling his body to the right. He got up, and loaded another bolt into the gauntlet. "You know your defeat is inevitable. You are attacking a litigator and making claims against a Rahkshi, all while giving him no defense or means thereof. My advice? Sheathe your weapons and we can forget this fight ever happened. Unless thinking with a blade is all you know." Sidonas locked Hook back into its' weapon form.
IC: Shield
"Oh that's the slop. Tastes and smells horrible." Shield said.
IC: Rider
Rider smiled. "Well, Vitesse here was hurt, so I took her to the infirmary. I can see now!"
IC Grim:
Still he prattled on.
Grim stopped, swinging around and bringing the mace around for yet another deadly blow at high speed toward his torso as the fool continued his whining.
IC: Dane
Dane slammed into the ground as the sword smashed into him. "Ah! What mate?!" He asked as blood began to blossom around his facial area.
IC: Subject
I stomped along the school hallways, silently. My greatsword scraped along the floor as I dragged it, making a loud noise. There was sometimes talk of rebellion. No-one would escape if I could help it though. They would sleep nice and tight in shackles.
OOC: Subject open for interaction.
IC: Char - Refectory
"That's the stuff we're supposed to eat?" she gagged. "Is there anything better here?"
IC: Rain - Infirmary
It had been a long, pleasant rest for Rain. She slowly awoke on a soft bed, still blinking her bleary eyes. She yawned and stretched her...
"What... no no no no no No No No NO NO NO!!!"
And then all Karz broke loose. The Infirmary filled with buffeting winds and tossing scraps of fog. Medical implements whizzed through the air, and the occasional bed tipped over.
And through it all, Rain could be heard screaming, "WHERE IS MY SUIT?!?!"
IC: Deadeye
Deadeye cackled as he prepared the suit.
IC: Sidonas - Hallways
Sidonas was struck in the chest, the mace slashed against his armor, and the stinging pain hit his chest. Sidonas fired a bolt and slid to the right, raising Hook in a defensive stance.
Great..low on bolts, and I'm being attacked by a maniac with a mace. Wonder if I'll get any help with this Makuta loving psycho. I need to end this fight quickly before I suffer something I'll have to go to Palma for. If this Rahk isn't bent on killing me like the finned one back on Visorak.
Sidonas spoke, this time speaking little. "Met someone like you once, they too were a crazy who harmed innocent people."
Perhaps if I can get this one angry, a tricky task it seems to be, I can get them to slip up. I mean they aren't throwing plasma like Fang, so things seem to be going sort-of alright currently. Hope I didn't think too soon.
IC: Helix/Gym >>> Hallways
I was in a corner of the gym, mixing a few ground-up chemicals. If the amount was correct, then it would work.
I took a piece of the mixture, and then set into a test tube (after I had kissed the test tube goodbye because it would never be seen again). I put some padding so that the pressure was increased and had a string that went into the tube. I walked a few steps away, set the match, and threw it onto the string.
Hissssssss...
I plugged my ears for the bang...nothing. I looked up. Nothing happened. Wrong amounts? Did I not put enough saltpeter in?
Before I could step up to examine the test tube, the karzed thing went boom, the force knocking me back. I got a few cuts from where the tube's shrapnel got me, but I could just walk it off. It was my fault for walking up to it anyways. But besides the pain, I smiled.
Success.
I stored the rest of the gunpowder mixture into 3 of my other test tubes. making sure that they were evenly distributed. I would pick up another test tube from my dorm later.
I guess I should go somewhere.
I began making my way to the library to find a new challenge.
OOC: maces crush, usually, not slice. It's got blades on it, but it's still a big hunk of heavy metal on a stick.
IC Grim:
Grim's buckler came up to intercept the bolt, it stuck deep in the metal plate.
"Those who defy the Makuta are not innocent," he spoke as he walked toward his foe.
It was then that Grim did something unorthodox. He threw his mace, the heavy blunt end weighing it forward as it streaked toward Sidonas' center of mass.
He pulled his pincered staff out following the throw.
IC: Subject
I spy a fight. I see what appears to be an illusion rahk being pummeled and another yelling about disloyalty. I raised my sword. The disloyal one must be subdued.
IC: Shock
Shock slowly stumbles back. He looks around and- "SWEET MOTHER OF ALL THINGS DARK IN THE WORLD, WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN EATING?" He yells, looking at the newcomer.
OOC: that's Subject.
IC: Sidonas - Hallways
The mace hit Sidonas, causing him to fall and hit the floor in pain. He felt like someone had punched his gut, then stabbed him. "Agh...Defy? In his defense, there has been no trial, no fair investigation as to the legality of his claims. I- agh..I had already stated that I was not involved with either side of the dispute." Sidonas pulled himself up, a painful cough escaped his throat. "Where is a friend when I need one?" Sido muttered, keeping on the defensive with Hook.
IC: Subject
It appears the idiot called me fat. I growled, my hands itching to swing the sword at Shock.
IC Grim:
Grim advanced on their opponent, raising the staff.
"You clearly do not understand how this works. There is no legality, no trials, and he admitted himself a traitor."
Grim stabbed down at Sidonas' throat with the staff, "Now be silent, worm."
IC Doubt
Doubt wasn't too surprised. That attack seemed like what he would do.
He ducked low, swinging his chain ball at his feet.
IC: Venom - Hallways
Venom smiled as she continued to listen to the sounds of fighting just around the corner.
This is going so much better than last time...
IC: Shark / Dane's Dorm
No sound, though, escaped Dane's doomed lips, for Shark had not been so foolish as to lower the silence field. As soon as his target hit the floor Shark launched a fierce kick at his head, aimed once more to send his target into unconsciousness and probably powerful enough to do so. (Though he could have aimed to do a lot more damage, the whole point was that Dane's suit remained relatively intact. That was why he was aiming to knock his target unconscious rather than simply ripping him apart.) At the same time, Shark speared his sword towards the gun in Dane's hand with more than enough force to render it useless if it struck true.
IC: Shock
Shock continued. "What fitness plan are you on? Because I sure. As karz need to join that one. Also, what's your diet? I might need that, too."
IC: Nightmare
Nightmare threw his Other Knife Straight at Kuma, or Mangai, or whatever his name was, yeah, his head.
IC: Haken - Gym
Haken saw the chain ball coming, and he let it wrap around his foot. Haken sheathed Stabby and pulled out two knives from his belt, throwing them at Doubt.
Seems like I might be facing a worthy opponent after all, better than those Vortixx I fought on Xia at least.
IC; Sidonas - Hallways
Sidonas raised his left arm up in defense against the staff, while slamming Hook's sharp hooks into Grim's arm with his right. "Well, if he admitted.." Sidonas let out a hacking cough. "Why are you fighting me? Go let Tridax decide these things."
IC: Snake - Dorm
"Fair enough." I had replied, before returning to my dorm...I had things to pack.
IC: Raith - Library
"It's...back to normal." I reply. I'm supposed to congratulate him, right? I'm sure that's the kind of thing friends do; "Well done!" I say enthusiastically.
IC: Torch - Causeway
"Yes, it is, isn't it?" I grin, leaning closer. "So what's your nam-- oh, I already asked that. Are you new here?"
