IC Kat:
My voice fell low as we got out of earshot of even Era's acute hearing.
"If we're gonna do this, I don't want to stick out with bright red.... Much as it pains me to do it.... I'm gonna buff it off. Moreover... I need your help attaching some armor."
There was a pause.
"We should really all change our look when we leave....."
IC: Snake - Dorms
I'm searching through my stuff, the activity rushed to distract me from thinking about what I'm doing. My dorm is full to the brim with grimy books, scraps of food and metal and disgarded memories of times gone by. This is it. Yes, but I need to think about packin-- This is actually it - the end of the path we started long ago. Yes.
I stop moving as the full force of what is happening hits me.
And Exxan didn't escape did he? He joined his nemesis in death. Change. So much of it, so fast...This is the end. The words keep ringing around my head as I sit heavily on my sleeping unit. The world around my becomes leaden, a terrible weight on my shoulders. I never cared...
I never cared about anyone much, just me against the world...not even against, just slowly drifting through, never taking life seriously enough to make it worthwhile. I didn't make friends, I didn't make enemies, it was just me. This is the end.
When Omega died, I shut it off. I bared what I had done by simply not believing it, not thinking about it. But now I've got to fight for something, believe in something with all my heart and not turn away, not ignore it, or it won't succeed.
Omega and Exxan will never get to see the rebellion, but maybe we can at least make their deaths worthwhile.
IC: Torch - Causeway
"Should I give you a tour?" I ask brightly.
IC: Raith - Library
A moment of silence passes. I have a yearning to do something...this must be "boredom".
"What shall we do?"
IC: Nymph (Library)
"I'd like to sit here and read. What do you want to do?"
IC: Nightmare
He Stepped back while (Sliver) was attacking Kuma, He was going to wait there though, until Kuma was unconscious or Dead, then Retrieve his Knives.
IC: Fang - Hallways
Fang stared at her in shock and almost forgot to keep walking. He looked up and down her armor at the vibrant red and every carefully painted curve. That was the Kat that he loved. Even though her concerns were completely valid, he didn't want her to change.
And he looked down at his own armor. White and tan wasn't exactly the most stealthy combination either. But that was what he had chosen, what seemed like long ago.
"I... I don't want you to change..." he stammered.
IC Kat:
"Change is inevitable, Fang.... We can't stop it anymore than we can stop the stars from appearing in the night sky."
I looked at him with a sad smile.
"Besides, it won't be forever."
IC: Fang - Hallways
The thought seemed to reassure him somewhat, and he returned the grin. "When do you plan on doing it then?"
IC: Bullseye's calls were answered, but not from inside the office. He had been early enough to catch Tridax before the Makuta had managed to reach his mysterious quarters.
"What are you shouting about?"
IC: Palma could do many things but there were no cures for emotional sickness. You could hide it, postpone it, but it wasn't something like poison that you could remove. She could do nothing for Rain, so instead went over to Draco and Vitesse, patching them up instead
IC: Shock
"...no....eat? But how are you-oh. You can not speak? That's why you sign? I really hope I didn't chop up a book on sign language..." Shock said, reflecting back. He could use an ally like this.
IC: Draco
After the patch up, Draco got up. He tossed the knife that had been stuck in his leg to Vitesse. "Until next time sister." He said, sneering. He then got up and left. Where to now... Draco thought back. The rebellion that was mentioned in the armory! As an angel of the Makuta, it was his duty to be their servant, warrior, protector, and messenger. But WHERE THE KARZ IS ANYTHING IN THIS SCHOOL!? He raged at himself. Wait. There was a large group back at where he dueled with Vitesse. Perhaps they know something. Draco reverted to flight mode, and headed for the group.
IC: Vitesse
Slowly, Vitesse got up. She looked over to see her knife, bloodied. "karzing dragon..." She muttered to herself. She sheathed it to see Rider and... Revenge. Where had he been? Vitesse shook her head. She stood up, and said, "hello again, though I wish it could be better times."
IC: Bullseye and Toxin
Toxin's Kraata was slightly scared upon Tridax's appearance. But he spoke.
"I....uh, sir, would like to request a new suit."
IC: Sidonas - Hallway
So this is how I die? Alone? With no help from any? No, I'm not letting that happen today if I can help it. Recoil needs me, I have a chance to redeem myself and be known as the inventor instead of the thief. There are still inventions to create, and vile villanous people like the Makuta to deal with. I still have things to do and promises to fulfill, people to gain the trust of, and a woman to love, and I won't be going down so easily.
Pain filled Sidonas' arm as it was cut at, and combined with the blow from his mace, and the pain that now hit his leg, made him let out a somewhat loud cry of pain. He hoped someone could hear him, he would need it. "You are...a slave to darkness and cruelty...killing..an inventor who...defends innocents? If I die....others will...have vengeance...justice will be served."
Sidonas spoke all of this through coughs and rough, painful breaths. He used all of his strength to hold off his enemy, attempting to kick them with his other leg.
IC: Haken - Gym
Haken raised his shield against the ball chain, hearing a thump as it hit the shield. He then heard a loud cry coming from one of the halls. He turned to Doubt and put away his shield, drawing his battleaxe. "Hold on, did you hear that? What was that?"
IC: Glaciem Ignis - Causeway.
We nodded at the offer of a tour.
IC Mar'jik:
Mar'jik didn't have the angle for Tarakava, and jumping on Grim could make things worse. So, dropping Tarakava, he aimed a powerful kick at Grim's face.
IC Doubt
Uh-oh. Someone was fighting outside the Gym. That could only mean...
Someone was cheating.
"We'll find out!" Doubt said, seizing up his metal ball and darting out the door. "Come on!"
IC Grim:
The kick landed squarely, pushing Grim off of Sidonas.
Their hands stayed firmly on the staff, taking it, and by extension, the joint of Sidonas' arm back.
Grim pulled hard, intent on swinging his staff, with unfortunate victim attached, into the wall.
IC: Illusive - Hallways.
Emerging from my dorm sometime later, I started down the halls in the direction of the Causeway.
It seemed the assignment-goers had returned, and I was curious as to what had transpired.
IC: Sidonas - Hallways
Sidonas screamed in pain as his arm suffered from the staff, he could say little, only let out cries of intense pain. "AAAAGGGGGHHHH! MY ARM!" he let out, as he tried to defend himself as best he could with his other arm.
IC: Haken - Gym
"I agree!" Haken said as he followed Doubt to the origin of the screams. The sight he saw was...horrible. One Rahkshi had atttacked another, and removed part of their arm?! "Doubt. Help this one. If there is a healer here, escort this Rahkshi to them." Haken said to the Rahk he had followed, pointing at Sidonas. Haken thought of the pain this Rahk was enduring by the screams, and readied his axe, staring with an angry gaze at Grim. "What have you done?!" He looked at Mar'jik as well, then back to Grim. "Explain. Both of you. Why is there a fight occurring outside of the Gym? Why have you removed part of that Rahkshi's arm?! From what I see this is both a violation of rules, and a dishonorable and cruel way to treat a combatant!"
IC Doubt
Arrrgh this guy knows nothing
Doubt didn't waste his time, knowing this attacker wouldn't stop because of a stupid speech. With a roar, he charged Grim, swinging his chain ball at his legs.
IC: Shock
Shock saw some random Rahk charging at Grim. Really. Now they were just joining the fight? Shock took out his launcher, loaded a charged Zamor, and fired at the newcomer.
OOC: that is Doubt.
IC: Draco
Draco flew along and... Combat sounds. The blasted fools. There are much bigger things on the plate, and we need to take care of them. Draco growled, and landed. He would need his swords for this one. Drawing his blades, he ran towards the combat, cyclone powers boosting his approach. He let out a massive roar.
IC: Venom - Hallways
Venom took another quick peek around the corner, watching as even more Rahkshi began to enter the fray, potentially falling victim to the anger she was still directing towards the group.
I think I might have just outdone myself this time. New personal record!
IC Mar'jik:
"That idiot," here Mar'jik pointed at Mangai, "Mentioned something about rebellions. Then those idiots,"(Here he gestured at Sliver and Grim)"Got mad and tried to kill the first idiot. Then that idiot(This time he pointed at Sidonas), tried to negotiate. Then he attacked him and I tried to keep either from being mauled. You may notice that I am not hurt nor have I inflicted any semi-permanent damage on either."
IC: Draco
Draco was about to head into the fray when... What is that Rahk doing? Hiding around the corner? Did this one cause this? "What did you do?" Draco asked threateningly.
IC: Shock
"Meanwhile, here I am, being an anarchist, and not an idiot." Shock said, sighing.
IC Grim:
Grim smiled as the Traitor's arm came off and he slammed into the wall.
Two -more- interferers?!
Perhaps the Dark Mistress had been right about this place.
"There is no place for honor in these ha-"
Their retort was cut short as the metal ball swung around, and Grim found themself stepping forward into the charge, stepping over ball and chain, pivoting on his right foot to face the other end of the Pincer Staff at Doubt, stabbing it forward at his throat. With the momentum from the weighted ball and his charge, there was little chance of this strike missing.
Just in case, though, the pincers opened to their maximum.
IC: Sidonas - Hallways
Pain still hit Sidonas, and he could only let out a simple "Infirmary." through the pain of a detached limb. He suppressed his show of pain as much as he could, but grunts of pain could still be heard. Recoil, you're going to kill me when you find out what I tried to solve peacefully. Then again, your beautiful face might just be enough by itself. Were it not for the pain. Sidonas would have grinned or chuckled as he thought about why he needed to stay strong through the pain. He loved Recoil, and he would force Karzahni to freeze over and move both Artahka and Karzahni before he left her.
IC: Haken - Hallways
Haken had to ignore the fact that Doubt had ignored a request for him to help the wounded Rahkshi. Haken looked at Mar'jik, then to Sidonas. "This Rahkshi needs a healer. If this school has any Rahkshi of healing, we need to locate one of them, fast. Please, I just arrived very recently and know nothing of any healers. If you know where a Rahkshi of healing is, we must go to them now." Haken sheathed his battleaxe and picked up Sidonas. He looked at the bloody arm, it was horrible.
A negotiator, one who makes peace, attacked?! By Antroz, I will see justice done when this Rahkshi is ensured to be in stable condition!
IC Mar'jik:
Picking up Tarakava and helping Haken to pick Sidonas up, Mar'jik said, "We need to take him to the Infirmary. It's that way."
Stupid insane moronic rahks who just attack everything in sight and don't think about it.
IC: Venom - Hallways
Venom spared a glance towards the approaching Rahkshi... but found him a lot less intimidating when she noticed his tiny, vestigial wings.
"I didn't do a thing," she said innocently, trying especially hard not to burst out laughing at his appearance. "I am but a mere spectator who didn't wish to be caught up in the fight that those morons decided to start in the hallways, especially when Headmaster Tridax catches wind of this."
IC: Draco
Draco frowned at the sight of the smile-something he and his sister tend to do a lot. Trying to ignore it, he spoke gravely."Tridax may have bigger fish to fry right about now. It seems that some imbeciles who call themselves Rahkshi have started forming a rebellion. And yes, I know my wings are tiny." Draco said, sighing at the smile.
Seriously. Why laugh at a Rahk who towers over you?
IC Kat:
"Tonight. Er.... Morning... Whatever."
I shook my head, "We should do something for Exxan before we go. Guess it'll be best we do it when we gather everyone, yeah?"
IC: Sidonas - Hallways
Sidonas felt pain, but was happy when he heard someone was taking him to the Infirmary. "Thank..y-you.." He barely managed through the pain.
IC: Haken - Hallways
Haken carried the inventor, with Mar'jik's help. He followed the Rahkshi's lead to the Infirmary. "When I get my hands on those who are responsible for this incident.." Haken muttered. He never believed in causing pain to your enemy beyond what was necessary to make them yield. To him, this was cruel, unimaginable, and dishonorable to treat a combatant like that.
IC: Fang - Hallways
He nodded slowly, almost solemnly. "Very well, let me know when you are ready. We will have to... think about what to do for him."
Fang turned away, ready to slip back to his dorm.
IC: Subject
Good, the traitor has been subdued. Now for the next instigator. I raised my sword, and charged at Doubt, swinging the gigantic sword for his head.
IC: Venom - Hallways
"What a very interesting piece of information," she said, maintaining her concentration as she casually rubbed the hand she used to beat the Rahkshi of Density control into unconciousness.
While she wouldn't mind going a round or two with him as well at some point, she felt that it would be best to remain civil with him for the time being, despite the fact that she couldn't give a Karz less about the Headmaster's problems, and so she made no further mention of the Rahkshi's wings. Despite this, she did not want him to suddenly learn of her involvement in the scuffle as it would definitely put a damper on the festivities.
"Maybe you should take it to Tridax himself; I'm sure he would want to know of this immediately. And who knows? He might even reward you for your loyalty."
IC: Era - Causeway.
I sat there, unsure of what to do now. "I guess I should be going," I was feeling like a third - well, fourth - wheel. I decided to give the others some space.
"I'll see you two later," I said to Jayar and Hoto, "and I'm sorry about Exxan," I added, to Phogen. "people said a lot of nasty things about him, but he was never a bad guy."
Shoulders slumped, I started walking towards the school's entrance.
IC: Nightmare
Nightmare was Sitting on the floor, Humming whilst using his Fear powers.
OOC: Nightmare open to Interaction, as well as Blade who is in the Gym.
IC: Draco
"We are their servants, and I need no award." Draco said. He looked around to see-another karzing fight. Draco, sighed then headed towards the fray. He saw a Rahkshi with a spiked mace. "What is going on here? There are more pressing matters than a brawl."
OOC: that is Grim.
IC: Torch - Causeway
"Let's go!" I grin, "Can you fly, silly creatur-- Glacignis?"
IC: Raith - Library
I start to automatically calculate the usefulness of the different options, but then stop. That was the old me..."I'll stay." I say, "With you." That's what friends do, after all.
IC Doubt
The Zamor collided with Doubt's side, sending him into the wall. Electricity coursed across him as he shook it off as best he could. He hadn't dealt with electricity before.
Good thing too, because the pinchers missed his head by only so much. But no time to worry, time to move.
Doubt leapt, gasping in breaths as Subject's sword did a nasty job to the wall. No way to get past the big one, maybe I can make them waste their time...
Scrambling up, he swung his ball around several times until it was rotating extremely fast. He aimed it in front of himself as a shield. Subject on his right, Grim in front... Hadn't he just seen the second one?
OOC: Well then, that ship's certainly sailing. ![]()
IC: Nymph (Library)
Well, that was unexpected. "Er... Okay, then." I turn slightly, snaking an arm over to a nearby shelf- the area containing the few books on the subject of the forging of Kanohi and Kanoka- and grab a volume, in particular 'The Imbuing of Powers in Kanohi and Kanoka', by one 'Vakama, Professional Mask-Maker' from Metru Nui. "This is one book I read a lot," I say quietly, flicking through the pages quickly. "It's an encyclopaedia detailing how mask-makers combine powered Kanoka for particular powers like Shielding and Flight. Here, have a look." I pass it over to my fellow Rahkshi, the book open on a page about the hypothetical legendary Mask of Time. "The author theorised on how to actually forge a Legendary Kanohi, not just Great and Noble ones. It's actually pretty interesting."
IC Grim:
The Adaptation Rahk huffed, scooping up his mace from the ground with their right hand.
This Rahkshi was merely one looking for a fight. It mattered little.
The Traitor was their Target.
Grim stepped up behind Mangai, ready to support Sliver in dealing with the fool.
IC Doubt
And he was ignoring him. That made Doubt angry.
Stepping forwards, he let out a hiss at Grim. "Leave him alone."
