IC: Riaril (Both Fearless and I are playing this chick)She couldn't tell what she wanted to do more: kill Tairel and then help a patient, or sleep and help the patient's family choose a coffin the next day. It's time for a career change if I want anymore sleep than this, Riaril thought as she hefted herself off the cot, the wicker bed groaning in protest to her sudden change of osmosis. Might as well help another today, Riaril thought, her white coat slipping over her shoulders even as she controlled the water in the glass to flow into her mouth, dowsing her parched throat with cool, energizing liquid. "Okay, time for work."The door slammed open from her tiny sleeping area to a scene of dismayed confusion. Blood lay in drips down the hallway of her hospital, blood which she had no idea why it had got there. A ga-matoran seemed to be dragging her body through the foier with some frantic purpose. Faster than you could say "Crazed, angry doctor," Riaril had the ga-matoran in room 1, saying; "Now hold still," and shoving the matoran's leg back into place with the hip, to the tune of a scream, pop and cry of relief. Like a dark phantom she hunted her halls for Tairel, finding him almost at the end, way past room 18, with a facially inept vortixx of what LOOKED like flame, save the red blood covering his body could've made it all an illusion. "Oh karz," Riaril muttered as she sped up.Without a word she hefted Tairel like a limp rag, tossing him out of her path, and then proceeded to the patient's blood-spewing frame. She didn't think, just acted. With one hand she conjured what water she could from the air, using it to clean the face and properly see the wound: a horrible, nasty gash that one, not even a Vortixx should suffer. her left hand busy with cleaning, Riaril breathed slowly, feeling her mask power come back online, the sensation of health and vitality coursing through her right arm, giving her an incredible high, as if the whole world were spinning around a single disco globe and no one was left unhappy. The energy built, growing more powerful as it edged into her fingers, dripping off her nails like an ambrosia of pious euphoria. She gave it all to the vortixx, laying her hand across his face as if to stroke a loved one's face. The whole of the feeling departed, working its divine powers upon the flesh and mask of the vortixx's face. As the wound closed, Riaril pulled her last few ounces of energy, her body now in a deep sweat and crying to quit, and gathered up the molecules of blood she had brushed away, using the advanced techniques of water control to slowly inch the blood back into the vortixx's barely open wound. All this was done within the minute. After she had finished she rolled the vortixx into room 1 to be with his obvious companion. "Sleep well stranger, may unity find you. May destiny return you. May your duty remind you of who you are."Outside of the room, she grabbed Tairel by the mask and hauled him into her office, tossing him forwards without empathy for his landing. She slammed the door shut, the glass reverbing but still in place -- Tarex had done a good job cleaning up his disaster -- and forcibly let Tairel have the talk his mother never gave:"Are you INSANE?" She started; "That toa was bleeding! Why ELSE would you not use the power of flame to cauterize his wound to STOP THE BLEEDING, or just go ahead and use the handy dandy thing on your face?! Karz! You come here, ask for a job, kiss me, tell me you'll watch after the place for a few hours while I sleep and then turn around to be an piece of INEPT MUAKA-FODDER. Please, get out of this hospital before I throw you out. Come back when you've finally got a head on your shoulders."
IC: Drome"Bah, you know what I meant." I snapped back in irritation. It was way too hot, and the heat was spoiling my once good mood.IC: Vrana"...Well, I could use a little more eye protection I guess..."He shrugged slightly. He hadn't told his new friends yet, but he was color blind.
IC: Kadon"It'll be cooler once we get inside, you know," I said, ignoring Drome's bad mood.IC: Cadias"I suppose we'd better find a blacksmith to make the frames. Good thing we're in Ta-Koro." Cadias began looking around for blacksmith's shops.
IC: Drome"No, I didn't. But I doubt it will be." I grumbled, spitting on a rock and watching the water evaporate."I hate this place."IC: Vrana"Blacksmith. Hmm... I could fly us up and we could search from the air."The Black Bird of Ga-Koro suggested, ready to fly into the air.
IC - Sucogu - HospitalAs Riarel dragged Tairel by, he lifted his hand to speak."Could I ever see the patient earlier mentioned?"
IC: (Tairel)"Now, listen to me, Ma'am," were the first words that came out of the Toa's mouth. He wasn't about to be thrust around like some Matoran's doll by a Ga-Toa. "I was controlling the bleeding before I used my Mask. You told me to wake you before I admitted the patient; so I did just that. I went back to controlling the bleeding and before I could use the Mask, you were throwing me across the room. Just because you're a beautiiful doctor doesn't mean you can interrupt my work" The Toa of Fire stands up from the floor he was just thrown on as he says,"And maybe if this guy didn't pester me so much," said the Toa as he points toward the being who was in the hall. "and maybe if I didn't have a mess to help clean up that wasn't even mine, and maybe if the stupid Ga-Matoran hadn't gotten my attention off of the bleeding patient, and maybe if you would've woken up when I called you I could've had the situation under control!" He was practiclly in her face now, his loud voice being audible throughout most of the hospital.Rule 1 When it comes to Ta-Toa: Do not make one angry.Rule 2: Do not throw one on the ground. Especially if the one throwing is a Ga-Toa.

IC: Kadon"Well, that's great. You have fun hating. I'll be finding us some shelter."IC:Cadias"I suppose that will work." Then he looked at Aurix. "You, keep an eye on Navayak."IC: AurixAurix saluted. "Aye aye, Mr. Moon King Sir!"Cadias just facepalmed.
IC: Drome"Fine..." I grumbled, getting the message. I shut up and stopped complaining out loud. Inside my head, I was still complaining. And still miserable in the heat.IC: VranaHe grabbed carefully onto the Toa of Plasma, so to not drop him from high up in the sky, and lifted off to search."Let's find a blacksmith!"He chuckled lightly to himself, as a strange thought passed through his mind."Maybe the blacksmith's name is Waldo."He didn't know why it had seemed funny, it just did.
IC: Kadon"Here's an inn." I stepped inside, appreciating the cooler atmosphere. "Gasp! It's cooler! Amazing."IC: CadiasCadias felt his stomach lurch once they lifted off. Forcing himself to think of other things, he settled on Vrana's joke. "Erm.. ok, then." Silently, he wondered why that was supposed to be funny.OOC: Have you decided to include peanuts this time? ![]()
IC: DromeIt was cooler. Not cooler enough for my tastes."Meh, I'll survive." Was my only remark.IC: Vrana"I think I saw a Matoran book once called 'Where's Waldo'. You had to find a Matoran out of a crowd of other Matoran."It had seemed funnier in his mind. Obviously Cadias hadn't read the book.OOC: No. You still need to buy first class airtravel for those.
OOC: ...... .... ... Curse you.
IC: Cadias"Ok, then." There was a pause. "I didn't know you could read." Cadias hadn't been around Vrana very long, so it really shouldn't have come as that big of a surprise, but it almost was as though he'd known Vrana before. Stop imagining things and start looking..IC: Kadon"You will, indeed. So, shall we attempt to think of a way to earn widgets or rough it?"
IC: Vrana"Yeah, I can read, and I can also write. I've actually been working on my own book."The avian explained to his friend as he kept flying over the Koro."It is about a ship that wrecks and is washed into a cave. Inside the cave is a creature that may or may not be eating the crew off one at a time."Strange... he had named one of the characters in his book Kaddias. It was a rather strange coincidence.IC: Drome"Let's try to earn widgets. Then we can also buy more food, it was a long walk here." I commented as I thought about what we should do. I wondered if anyone needed someone to work a small job for them in Ta-Koro."And just hope that someone has a job around here."I noticed a Toa of Ice in heavy armor, who walked with a limp. The Toa was stabbing an empty box, shouting about Dragons.I decided it best to ignore him.
IC: KadonI saw Drome staring at someone who appeared stark raving mad. An idea came to me. "Think we can earn some widgets hauling him back to whatever place he escaped from? Methinks that he isn't supposed to be left alone for long periods of time."IC: Cadias"Really? I'd be interested in reading it some day. There was another pause. "I usually don't tell people this, but I'm not a very strong reader. Just never really had the time, you know?"Then he spotted a rather burnt looking building. "Think that's a blacksmith's place?"
IC: Drome"Sure, go ahead and try to capture and return him to wherever he is supposed to be. I'd rather avoid the madman swinging the sword around, doesn't seem safe at all." I commented, already starting to walk past the insane Toa of ice.IC: Vrana"Sadly, I'm stuck at a part in the story. The main characters have reached the location they were traveling to, but I just have no ideas what to write next."Vrana sighed slightly."I know what you mean about not having the time. But I myself love reading."He looked at the building, it didn't really look all that bad. Though the metal plates on it stood out horribly."Blacksmith... or a family of arsonist."
IC: [Hari]Hari awoke from his troubled slumber with a fresh mind. Eager to get to work, he glanced over at Sirraus's bed to see if he was still sleeping. He saw a note from Sirraus there, and walked over to the bed to read it. It basically told Hari to meet Sirraus in the archives as soon as he could. As he turned towards the door, the high noonday sun of Ta-Koro flared brightly in his eyes, and he squinted against the heavy glare. How long have I been asleep if it's already noon... he wondered. Anyway, no time for that. It would be better to concentrate on the matter at hand, Hari figured. In a few minutes Hari was out the door of the inn and down at the Ta-Koro archives, searching for Sirraus.Ic: SirrausSirraus sat up, took off his mask, and rubbed his face. He hoped that his Ko-Koronian friend had better dreams than he did. Hari was still asleep, mumbling in a vaguely unsettling manner. Sunlight drifted through the slotted window, highlighting the dust and ash drifting lazily about the room. The Onu-Matoran left a simple note on his bed -telling Hari that he would be in the archives and to meet him as soon as he could- before heading out the door. There was no reason to awake the scholar, after all. It would help their study to have at least one fully rested mind.IC: [Hari]Seeing Sirraus close his eyes and drift off into a troubled sleep, Hari began to do the same, seeing the logic in it. Closing his eyes, he tried to clear his mind of anything worthwhile so he could get some rest, but found that he was unable to. The events of that day and the discoveries that he and his newfound companion had made replayed themselves over and over in his mind like the cycle of night and day, never stopping.Soon, however, he was able to clear his mind for several minutes, and drifted off into a light sleep, occasionally interrupted by a strange, unsettling dream. When Sirraus awoke, Hari was mumbling to himself in his sleep, trying unconsciously to rid his mind of the weird visions that were flashing through it.
OOC: Nice tie-ins there, TDC. Very nice indeed.
IC: Kadon".. Good point." I followed Drome.IC: Cadias"interesting. Maybe the book should end there, on a happy note. They have, after all, reached their destination, no?"I reassessed the buidling below. "If it turns out to be an arsonist, feel free to get us out. But looking won't hurt."
OOC: :DIC: DromeI walked away from the dangerously insane Toa, heading farther into the Koro. There had to be something around here, some sort of job that needed done.If not, I was thinking about stealing Kadon's money and buying a room for myself, and just letting him sleep outside.IC:Vrana"Yeah, maybe you're right. It is a rather happy way to end it. They had accomplished what they had wanted."He smiled slightly, thinking that Cadias was correct. A good story didn't need some oversized adventure full of violence and danger. His had a little of both, but not much. What it needed was to be something people could look back on and still find enjoyable."okay, I'll be ready to fly off at a moments notice."He lowered himself in front of the shop, dropping Cadias carefully to the ground.
IC: Something was going on. Ghar-Knel just knew it. He woke up again. The pain seemed to have left. Was he dreaming? Was he dead? No, he couldn't be dead. The Vortixx sat up. Suddenly, the pain came rushing back to him. He screamed loudly in pain. Did he look like a fool, screaming every time the pain came back? Probably. The pain was too much. He blacked out again.
IC:Fiva"So Zyck, got another plate for me yet?" Fiva asked the Toa of Gravity. "It feels like I've waited 11 days for it!" Fiva said, feeling like he had wasted his time in the WD101 topic.
IC: Zyckel"Yes, I'll bring it out to you."The blacksmith shouted up, walking out of his shop to hand his most annoying employee the metal plate.Well, Fiva was also Employee of the month, but that didn't matter.IC: Dreenan"Hey Nighting, I feel like we've been standing here forever."She commented."Shouldn't we go fight something, or something?"IC: Venator"Dragons, I will slay the dragon!"He shouted, as he slowly stopped stabbing the box. He had gotten sidetracked killing a smaller dragon. The true threat was still here, and he had to find it before it was too late. The village's survival relied on him. And as long as there was a single breath in his body, he would do everything he could to keep it safe.IC: Doctor VirtheeThe doctor adjusted the chairs in his hospital, cleaning the walls and floor with a wet rag.He smiled, looking at the now clean hospital."There, that's better. I really should think about getting some paint for this place."IC: VranaHe noticed the blacksmith walk outside to hand something to a Toa on the roof, it looked like a metal plate."Hey Cadias, what do you think happened here? A Toa of fire gone mad, or maybe a Toa of plasma."He didn't really know, the building just had a few burn marks here and there.IC: Drome"Hey, you think maybe someone around here is having a Rahi problem? I've got nothing against bashing my mace down on some problem causing Rahi." I asked as we walked.I wasn't certain exactly what would need done here in Ta-Koro. It was hot, maybe someone needed water taken to a hut. Or maybe ice carried in from Ko-Koro. I didn't know, it was just uncomfortably hot.
IC:FivaFiva put the plate on the roof and started welding.Nighting"Yeah... Maybe Vakama's not answering the two..." Nighting responded.OOC:You should have all your characters meet! That'd be hilarious.
OOC: Indeed it would. But so many of then in one place, at one time? The world would explode.IC: Dreenan"Yeah... Maybe we should go find them, or something."She wasn't known for her patience, and it was fading away rather quickly.
IC:Nighting"Yeah, you never mastered that 'patience' thing did you?" Nighting said with a chuckle.OOC:Nighting's crush on Fehdran is now Non-Cannon. As nothing will come from it.
OOC: Now there's another hospital? It's getting a bit crowded in Ta-Koro for doctors... :PIC: (Gamal)The Ga-Matoran looks beside her at the struggling Vortixx. He was going in and out of consiciousness, every now and then yelling from the pain of his wounds. She slowly stands up, not feeling too sure of walking on her leg just yet. The Ga-Matoran approaches the Vortixx and grabs a wet rag that was sitting in a water basin beside his bed. She softly blots the rag across his forhead and face, trying to cool him down. After all of the yelling and pain, his face had become as hot as the lava fields a few miles away."Calm down. You're okay, now."-Mef
OOC: If you're talking about Virthee's Hospital, Mef Man, It's been here since this Reboot Reboot started.IC: Dreenan"No, but I've tried. I just can't stand waiting for a -"Somewhat foul language."-long time!"She remarked to Nighting,
IC:Nighting"True, true..." Nighting said thoughtfully. "But you really should tone down your language a bit." Nighting said as a mother and her son ran by, covering the son's ears in order to keep him from hearing the foul language.
IC: Dreenan"That is the toned down version."She explained to Nighting."It can be much worse."
IC:Nighting"You know that, and I know that, but she doesn't know that..." Nighting said. "Anyways, let's go find 'em."
IC: Dreenan"Yeah. let's get moving already."She sighed with irritation at the long wait, before heading toward the Village to find them.
IC:NightingNighting followed Dreenan, but stopped at the gate of the village. There was a large platform, upon which four people stood. One Toa, and three Matoran. Two of the Matoran had long executing swords and stood next to the Toa, waiting for orders. The other was Kalama,(no not that Kalama, the Ta-Matoran one...) member of the Ta-Koro guard. The Toa was in chains, and was looking out among the crowd that had gathered to see the execution. "What's up with that?" Nighting asked curiously, pointing towards the large crowd. "Looks like they're executing someone..."
IC: Dreenan"It does look like an execution, doesn't it?"She muttered, looking into the crowd."Hey Nighting, want to see if we can get front row seats?"
IC:Nighting"Well the Ta-Koro Guard has been having a rough time. If we go watch we might get to help keep the peace in the village." Nighting said, thinking over his options. "Okay, let's go."
IC: DreenanThe Toa of plasma walked over to watch what was going on. She really didn't plan on helping keep the peace, she was more interested in the violence."Maybe there will be a fight, should the person try to escape."
IC:Nighting"That's what I was thinking." Nighting said, looking around as he made it to the front of the crowd.
IC: DreenanShe grinned, waiting for whatever was going to happen."This should be interesting."
IC:Nighting"So it shall be." Nighting said, a grin also on his face.

IC: Riaril sighed, too tired to even get further mad at this point."Listen-! Just-listen."She inhaled mightily, feeling the oxygen inspire in its sudden fierce inrush of power."I understand that you were getting the bleeding under control. However," she continued, with firm emphasis upon the word, "It is standard medical procedure for any Ta-Toa worth their salt to cauterize, especially here where they can redraw more cauterizing power from the volcano itself. Cauterizing saves time and bandages, which are valuable here to us medics who are not Ta-.""As for your problems," she continued firmly, "The mess was to be cleaned up by Tarex; I thought you knew that. About the Ga-Matoran-if you want to be a medic, know to prioritize and help out the more critically injured ones first. Pestering, as well, is something else that any medic should be able to block out," explained the Ga-Toa. "The only one of your problems preventing you from keeping things under control which was beyond your own was me not waking up. While I am utmostly sorry about that, my own failure does not change the fact that you failed to show initiative, draw conclusions from pre-existing data, and prioritize. "I see how you're frustrated," added Riaril before Tairel could reply, "And I see that you did try. Therefore, I'll amend my statement: You will keep your job for now. Do be aware that I'll be staying up the rest of the night because of this, though," finished the Ga-Toa.Tarex had found his question unanswered verbally. However, as he heard a slight shuffling sound and a sound like deep breathing, in through the nose, out through the mouth, he turned his head to find it answered...More tangibly. The groggy young toa stood before him on tottering legs, staggered slightly by his exhaustion and blood loss. Hau had been awoken by the sounds of battle and gotten out of his cot.He didn't know where he was. Karzhani, perhaps? He surely would deserve that; he was convinced of it now. The fabled matoran Guiheim, the high heaven of good matoran? Unlikely. Or by some trick of fate was he still alive and merely in some place he'd never been? His knee burned but appeared whole. His left elbow throbbed, but it was a dull sort of pain, the sort of pain which first was great but eventually receded. While such a thing would be explainable if he had been healed, he had been alone with his fallen foe in the charred forest. It was unlikely that even such evidence proved him still alive.Still unsure of where he was and only half-awake, the young martial artist took up a ready stance. His legs moved apart even as he raised his right fist and held out his left with hook cradled in it, instinct telling him that the chain would be useless in such confines."Where'm I? Who're you?," asked Hau in the kind of soft murmur borne of waking dreams.IC: (Tairel)"Now, listen to me, Ma'am," were the first words that came out of the Toa's mouth. "and maybe if I didn't have a mess to help clean up that wasn't even mine, and maybe if the stupid Ga-Matoran hadn't gotten my attention off of the bleeding patient, and maybe if you would've woken up when I called you I could've had the situation under control!" IC: (Tairel)"Thank you," was all the Toa of Fire could say; his head hanging low. He didn't know all of the protocols to follow and was still pretty new to on-the-spot procedures. He hoped to learn everything there was to know soon. He wanted to show the Ga-Toa that he had what it took to become a great doctor.Just then, a new being approached. Apparently, he was pretty confused and injured. Tairel guessed he was a patient that stumbled out of his bed and into the office."Would you like for me to take him back to his room?" asked the Ta-Toa to the doctor in a low voice; eyes fixed on Hau.-Mef
IC - Sucogu - HospitalSucogu placed a hand on Tairel's shoulder."I can do it." he said, walking towards Hau.He grabbed the armor and, remembering the number 18 from earlier, began ushering Hau down the hall. Once out of Tairel and Riaral's earshot, he began speaking."Looks like you got hit pretty hard.""A lot."He found the room, where Kriigata lay as well. He reached down to her wrist, feeling her pulse."Should be waking any minute." he said softly."Are you sure you don't want any more rest?"
IC: (Tairel)Tairel nods as Sucogu ushered Hau back to room eighteen. The two were getting along okay...for now. The Toa hoped he wouldn't have to encounter the being in battle again. The Ta-Toa looks back toward Riaril as he asks,"Who was that?"-Mef
