IC: [Septimus]"Alright then," said Septimus as he helped Salvinn walk along. "Let's go."
IC(Renod)
Renod placed one hand on his sheathed sword and one on his chin while walking toward the dock. There were no beings who would be a good guard for the Vortixx. He would just need to keep looking. Deciding that maybe someone at the docks would be a better choice, the being made his way there.-Mef Man
IC: FeldnokSparring the owner of the boat the dangers of having to dock in Xa-Koro, Feldnok jumped right off into the water and began to swim like a professional swimmer towards the islets. In the distance, people would notice him as a little blip causing water around it to splash.
IC: Gunner - Black Spot InnGunner sneered, 'Maybe yes, maybe no. No matter what I say, you won't know if I'm being honest or not.'-Void
IC(Renod)
Renod noticed something approaching the shore. It was big and had just jumped (or fell) from the incoming vessel. The being decides to check out the disturbance and makes his way toward the estimated area that the being would land if he were coming to shore.-Mef Man
IC: FeldnokFeldnok soon arrived at the docks after much swimming, only to find a being standing on the edge of the docks as if expecting him. Paying no heed to this, Feldnok climbed up the wooden platform and shook off whatever water was dripping off his body.OOC: Last post for now...
IC(Renod)
"Good morning to you," greets the being, a smile on his face. "That's quite some distance you just swam there."-Mef Man
IC: FeldnokIt seemed the being was indeed waiting for Feldnok as he greeted the Skakdi and commended him on his swimming. Feldnok turned around to get a good look at his new acquaintance, sizing him up. He was on alert now that he had finally arrived in crime central of Mata-Nui."Thanks." was all he was able to think of at the moment.
IC(Renod)
Not much of a talker; are you? Good."I, uh, noticed your build," he starts, feeling almost at a loss for words. "And, I was curious to see if you were interested in a type of body guard job. It pays well and it shouldn't be too rough. Especially for someone like you."-Mef Man
IC: FeldnokFeldnok wasn't sure whether the stranger was being serious or was flattering him. Or both. Either way, Feldnok considered the sudden offer of becoming a body guard for someone he doesn't even know."I'm up for it but before I make any final decisions: why do you need a body guard?"
IC(Renod)
"Ah, it's just a nuisance in the north that may be somewhat...violent," he replies. "But, that shouldn't be a problem for a Skakdi should it?"-Mef Man
IC: FeldnokNow Feldnok definitely thought that Renod was beginning to flatter him. Flattery of the tricky sort did not bode well with the Skakdi of water nor did bad explanations."No, no it shouldn't. However, I suggest you cut the karz or else it might become a problem. People don't require protection from nuisances. Just tell me the full situation, no matter how dangerous it is."
IC(Renod)
Renod was taken aback by the being's words for a moment. He continues to keep his cool, though, before his face turns from the deceiving smile to a dark glare."There's a Toa that should've died and all he received was a loss of memory. I want you to protect me from him if he suddenly regains his memory, if you'd like," starts Renod before looking the Skakdi in the eyes,"kill him."-Mef Man
IC: Feldnok"I see. I don't think there will be a problem then." replied Feldnok flatly. It seemed like this Vortixx was a criminal but then again, there was no proof to that. "So how much do I get paid? Are we heading to Ko-Wahi?"
IC(Renod)
"Now, where the Makuta did you get the idea we're going to Ko-Wahi?" he asks the Vortixx, confused. "Widgets are no problem," adds Renod, answering the other question. "Name your price and I'll see what I can do."-Mef Man
IC: Feldnok"Just wondering. As for the price it'll cost you, I don't really care as long as you pay fairly and don't cheap out."
IC(Renod)
"No need to worry about the price," replies the Vortixx. "As long as you do a good job you'll be paid enough to last a long time without having to work." To prove it, Renod takes out a hundred widget piece and tosses it in the air for the being to catch.-Mef Man
OOC: That's like...catching one hundred coins. No matter, I'll do it
IC: FeldnokFeldnok caught the widgets thrown into the air and slowly stuffed them into his pouch, his face wearing the expression as if nothing happened. It looked like he might actually make some good coin with this being."Good. So what's the current plan?"
OOC: Hmm. Thought they came in different ammounts...
IC(Renod)
"We're currently heading to Po-Koro," he explains. "A trip from Le-Wahi, to Ga, then finally to our final destination. Once there we'll track down my old apprentice...and kill him." The Vortixx didn't bother keeping his voice down for the last sentence. People discussed killing like it was a normal thing in th Kumu Islets and, on top of that, there was hardly anyone around.-Mef Man
IC: Feldnok"Sounds manageable. When do you plan to leave?"
IC(Renod)
"The sooner the better," he replies. The Vortixx was eager to "meet" his apprentice again and "discuss old times."-Mef Man
IC: Feldnok"Sooner the better indeed. I'm afraid I don't have a boat, as you saw. It seems you'll have to make the arrangements to get us moving."
IC(Renod)
"Don't worry; I'll make arrangements for our travels," he responds before leading the brute toward a nearby dock.-Mef Man
IC: Feldnok"Lead on, Vortixx. I still need to know your name and vice versa. Name's Feldnok." responded the Skakdi, following Renod toward the nearby dock.
IC(Renod)
"Renod," he replies before stopping and holding his hand out for the being to shake. "But, you will call me sir, boss, whatever you'd like in that genre of names."-Mef Man
IC: Feldnok"You got it, boss." he confirmed, shaking the hand firmly and roughly but not in a way which would injure his employer. "Now then, let's get going."OOC: Last post for a bit. Off to go studying for about an hour...
IC(Renod)
Renod could tell alot about beings by their handshake, and this "Feldnok" was no exception. Telling from the firm grip he was tough and wouldn't be afraid to use this to his advantage, but he held back when it came to him. Respect, maybe? Didn't find too many of those on the island."Well, here she is," the Vortixx says, changing subjects while withdrawling his hand. Pointing toward a luxury liner behind him, he explains,"My private vessel used for short trips or long distances. It'll get us to Le-Wahi, but I'd rather travel to Po-Koro on a Gukko or some other faster transportation."On the vessel was the name of the ship: Dez'a. No one except the Vortixx knew why the ship was called this, and that was the way the "boss" tried to keep it; especially when it came to his employees. Other than the name, the noticeable feature was the bright glisten the ship seemed to have because of the great care that was given to the ship. It truly was a magnificent vehicle.-Mef Man
IC: FeldnokFeldnok was wowed when he saw ship named Dez'a, slightly marveling that he would get to ride in such a fancy ship. It seemed his boss was quite the wealthy person, not that he had any doubts when Renod threw 100 widgets into the air."Fancy ship, Boss but would you mind en-lightning me on its name?"
IC(Renod)
"Prove your trust to me and I will maybe explain some day," he simply replies before climbing aboard via gang plank that a Le-Matoran lowered for the two.-Mef Man
IC: FeldnokThe Skakdi shrugged at the response and got on board via the same gangplank. His boss appeared to be full of surprises, whether all of them were good or bad remained a mystery."So, what kind of business do you run?"
IC(Renod)
"My, my, aren't we just full of questions today," replies Renod while taking a seat at the bow of the boat. A few Le-Matoran ran behind him as they climbed to masts. Once they reached the top, they lowered the sails and the ship was soon moving after pulling up the anchor. "Anyway, I suppose you haven't heard of 'Two Toa's Tools' or perhaps a business called 'Fire Spitter's Bar?' "-Mef Man
IC: Feldnok"Full of questions I am. I find it a good habit to learn more about who you work for." The remark had potential venom in it but nothing very noticeable or worth taking note of."As for those two names you told me: I'm afraid I've never heard of them. I usually spend my time in Ga-Koro."
IC(Renod)
"You're smarter than you look," says Renod, quietly, refferring to the Skakdi's first sentence. "Those are two businesses found across the island. I have just become the owner of both of them; thus adding them to my long list of stores, restaurants, you name it and it's mine. That is my business; running the major businesses all across Mata-Nui."-Mef Man
IC: Feldnok"Interesting. Never thought I'd be working for you, hmmm?" The question wasn't really a question, more of a remark on coincidence. "I'm surprised some people would want you dead if that's the case."
IC(Renod)
The Vortixx eyes the being cautiously before replying,"What do you mean by that?"-Mef Man
IC: Feldnok"Someone of your caliber must be a decent person, I'd expect. As a result, my expectations lie in the general idea where your apprentice would attempt some form of crime against you, which is why you tried to get rid of him. Unless, there's something you're not telling me?"
IC(Renod)
"If there is something else, then you can draw your own conclusions. I've said too much to a simple client as it is," huffs the Vortixx. Renod didn't like saying too much to the Skakdi. It wasn't his business to know anything about Renod's other than the job at hand. Deciding to change subjects, he asks,"Would you like any kind of refreshments?"-Mef Man
IC: Feldnok"Yes, anything refreshing you have in stock would be nice..." The Vortixx's earlier reply didn't quite satisfy Feldnok's quench for knowledge about his employer. To the Skakdi, Renod wasn't your average businessman; it appeared he had some shady background, judging from his answer. If it wasn't anything which would have negatively affected Renod, he would have simply come out with the truth. No biggy. Then again, Feldnok told himself he was jumping to too many conclusions so he decided to stop thinking about it.
IC
(Renod)
Renod motioned for a Le-Matoran to get some food and he soon returned with an odd looking food that cost a fortune. On the two plates were a piece of lettuce with Takea shark eggs in a neatly arranged order. Surrounding it were a few different types of vegetables and fruits that weren't in season. Another Matoran came with two glasses and a bottle of wine."If you're not hungry, I'll just toss it overboard," says Renod while taking the plate and the glass.OOC: Takea shark eggs? Sounds delicious not.-Mef Man
OOC: Caviar? Ruh roh. IC: FeldnokFeldnok, astounded that Renod was so willing to throw such expensive food overboard, took the piece of lettuce with eggs on it somewhat greedily and swallowed it with one single bite, big as his mouth was. This stuff's nasty. Rich people and what they eat...
