IC: SpyderSpyder was just there, watching, it seemed. That is, untill Frii'Glokk glanced away, and back at the Toa of Crystal; who wasn't there. It wasn't much longer until the Skakdi found out where the twisted being had gone, as Spyder landed next to him. With a hiss, he brought his ctystal spike down onto Frii'Glokk as he fell, having used the long-leap ability granted to him from his Kanohi to jump over the wall.
IC:Frii'Glokk was half caught by surprise when Spyder fell beside him, swinging down a crystal spike at him. Although, the telltale hiss let Frii'Glokk step almost out of the way, while the spike slashed a small gash in his shoulder armor. But he quickly reacted with 4 shots at Spyder's chest, each time readjusting to Spyder's movement (if he dodged) during the split-second before his gun would fire again.
IC Genno"Why am I just standing here watching a fight?"
IC: SpyderTwo of the bullets smashed into the twisted being's arm, comepletely destroying the crystal covering it and getting stuck inside the limb. The third impacted his chest, going through his armor while the fourth was stopped by a crystalline shield Spyder had finally managed to create.Continuing to hiss, the Toa held his injured arm close to his body, while raising his other to sent another stream of crystalline projectiles, these guided by his thoughts as he directed them towards the Skakdi.
IC:Frii'Glokk simply jumped to the side, ducked and raised his arms to protect his torso as some the projectiles zoomed to his left, while the ones near the back had time to aim and some hit his upper chest armor, making various small dents, craters, and gashes on the iron. A few of the smaller, dull ones actually shredded themselves to dust upon impact. He quickly recovered, stood up, and fired 4 more shots using the same technique as last time.
IC: SpyderThis time, the twisted Toa was ready for such attacks, and lept to the side. What bullets didn't miss from his sudden movement were stopped by his crystalline shield. The sound of metal hitting crystal echoing across the area. With another hiss, Spyder brought his hand up, and another bed of crystal formed around the Skakdi. This time, the spikes were small, but the area the bed covered was much greater then before.
IC:Frii'Glokk Jumped forward when the spikes formed, using his sword to crush the crystals in the spot he landed. He then ducked and made another swipe which destroyed the spikes to his side, and he leapt away, fired two more shots and then taking cover behind the boulder again. This time he paid more attention not just to his enemy, but his surroundings as well.
OOC: Hope you dont mind.IC: AurumAurum, seeing Ira arrive as well, did a temporary checkup for the Toa of Pyromania, sealing his wounds in metal casts, applying pressure and stopping the bleeding.IC: JLJL, seeing Tupua strike from behind Echelon, ran forwards to stab Echelon from the front.IC IraI couldn't risk taking more wounds. I had to get out of here now. Slowly slinking backwards, I eventually broke into a run until I found myself in the jungle. Deactivating my volitak from the mental strain, my green eyes shone in the darkness, darting around.. I found myself lying next to Pae, who seemed to be injured. He was unconcius and looked like he was seriously hurt. "Kino had better get here soon," I thought.
IC (Avya)I scanned the remains of Pala-Koro for any sign of the rogue Toa of Ice; the once proud village was now in shambles, full of flaming debris and smoke. The fires that burned threatened to knock me off my feet; flickering images flashed at the edge of my vision, threatening to push through. The stench of smoke, the crackling of fla-No! I wrenched my attention back to the present; I couldn't afford to get caught up in the past, not now. I needed to find Hiemalis, and make him pay. Justice had to be served after what he'd done in Ta-Koro. I remembered it as if it were yesterday: the hospital crumbling, Matora-Matoran screaming, their armour melting, their flesh burning awa-I tore myself out of the flashback, straining to keep these memories from spilling over the dam I'd put up and overwhelming me. The smoke stung my eyes, making it hard to see.Hasil and I continued running through the village, trying to somehow locate the criminal I'd seen blasting aside his enemies with his characteristic disregard for life. Smoke and cries of pain filled the air along with the sound of explosions and elemental attacks. We would find him; we had to find him. He would pay.IC (Bartan)Bartan's vision gradually swam back into focus as he awoke from unconsciousness. He was still alive, which was nice, and he was also in extreme pain. His shoulder felt as though it was on fire, and his side screamed in agony; both were still leaking blood.Struggling to sit up, the hardy Skakdi gasped in pain as wounds wounds protested. His launcher and mace lay next to him; evidently, his attackers were dumb enough to leave his weapons by his side, thinking him defeated. No, he wasn't done. Not by a long shot.Bartan attempted to rise to his feet, but only made it halfway before falling back to the wet grass, cursing.OOC: Kaiapo from Onu-Wahi.IC (Kaiapo)The village of Le-Koro was more peaceful than usual (there was no wind; the leaves were still), but that did not make it much easier for the Toa of Earth to walk upon it. He did not enjoy heights; he was most comfortable on the ground, or below it. His anxiety did not show on his face, though; his uneasiness was hidden behind a calm, unfazed expression. His footsteps as calm and measured as always, the Toa walked into the village square.
IC: [uyism]Meanwhile, Uyism was still being ignored by her fellow guard members.Isn't it sad, Ucchin~?
OOC hubert, I don't think that's the right topicIC SoniusI wokenup. Then I passed out again
IC: SpyderThe twisted being hadn't moved much, just to the side and to bring up his shield once again to block the two shots. With a quick movement of his arm, the crystal shards fomr the destroyed spikes flew into the air, before whipping towards the Skakdi, flying around the boulder. A cloud of sharp crystalline shards that could slice through armor, flying at considerable speeds. Not something you wanted to get in the way of.
IC: AvalancheAvalanche broke the silence that had filled the room for the last couple minutes."Well?"
IC:But before the attack, Frii'Glokk had decided to sneak around the other side of the boulder to surprise Spyder before the beast could retaliate. When the shards flew, they missed because Frii'Glokk was already on the other side of the boulder, charging Spyder. He slashed strongly at the crystal shield, which had already been severely weakened by the half dozen or so bullets that had impacted it earlier in the fight. While he did this, he stabbed under the shield with his bayonet at Spyder's abdomen.
OOC: Sorry guys, totally missed the posts.IC: Dekal [Gukko Force outpost, Le-Koro]The Toa of Sonics nodded, a smile hidden beneath his scarf. This went better then he expected, a lot better. Seems like Dekal did something right picking them out. "Good," the robed Toa said, quite pleased with the result. "And on the matter of the name, well, I haven't thought of that, and I really don't care. What would you like?""Oh, and one more thing, this squad isn't complete yet, there's still one more person I want to get. If I can find him..."
OOC: How you could miss my PM about the matter, however, still baffles me.IC: Avalanche"Seems fair, no one adresses me by my name either" Avalanche responded as he sheathed his knife."As for what I should call you, how about... Tobduk"
IC: NelanI grinned. "For the group, how about the Kutanuas? It means "expendable" and seeing as if we die no one will know us..."
IC: ZyronZyron's elevator arrived shortly after Myka's, and when he stepped out of it the matoran was really glad that the travel was over and he was on -more or less- safe ground again.OOC: There've been multiple people in the same one before, but I don't see any harm in them being in separate ones.IC: Myka (Below Le-Koro)The elevators lifted up, reaching Le-Koro. Myka stepped out, and then looked across at Zyron.
IC: Avalanche"Sounds fair"
IC: Atrox (Broom Closet, Le-Koro)Alright, I'll be honest, Rahi are sort of my specialty. And there was a certain name which I thought would work... "There's a species of Rahi called the Niazesk. They're small insects, but they have a sting, and they use it to keep the bigger Rahi in line. I think that could be applied easily enough to us."OOC: I'm sorry Kaithas, but I really do not want this team to be called The Expendables. And this name sounds cooler. :PIC: Myka (Le-Koro)"Do you want to find an inn or somewhere to stay?" Myka asked, walking over to where Zyron now stood.
OOC: It's cool. I was pretty much joking.IC: Nelan"Sounds better. Two votes for Niazesk."
IC: AvalancheAvalanche regarded the other Toa, as they expectantly awaited his opinion.Avalanche raised his hand, saying his signature phrase:"Whatever, as long as I get paid"As he let his hand drop, he raised another issue, diverting his attention to the Toa's of Plasma and Plantlife"And what should I call you?"
IC: Nelan"Name's Nelan, but you can call me Explosive on the battlefield." I grinned.
IC: Atrox (Broom Closet, Le-Koro)"You can call me sexy." I said, laughing slightly. "What? You did ask."
IC: Avalanche"You can call me "Avalanche". And before you ask, no, it's not a suggestive metaphor"He then turned to the Toa of Plasma "and there's no way in Karzahni you can get me to call you Sexy"
IC: NelanI laughed at Atrox. This was a guy after my own heart.
IC: Atrox (Broom Closet, Le-Koro)I stared silently at Avalanche. "I have some bad news for you. You've taken serious injuries, and your sense of humour is damaged beyond repair. I am so, so sorry."
IC: Nelan"You have my greatest condolences." A wooden tombstone grew out of the ground. The inscription said: RIP Avalanche's sense of humor. It will be missed.
IC: Atrox (Broom Closet, Le-Koro)I turned to Nelan. "Come on, man, that's a little over the top. We both know that it wasn't worth the effort of making that, and that the inscription is complete Kane-Ra."
IC: AvalancheAvalanche shrugged. "I've never been known for my sense of humor"
IC: NelanI grinned. "What, you expect a guy nicknamed 'Explosive' to be restrained? Someone needs their head-thinker checked. Besides, the inscription was supposed to be Kane-Ra." The tombstone disappeared with a bang. "Gotta stop making stuff out of explosives."
IC: Avalanche"I would most certainly recommend it"
IC: Toa Lhimate:He entered Pala-Koro in search for members to join his orginasation, there he saw a vortixx, he just knew that that guy would be a great member so he said to him:" Hey wanna join an orginasation to stop evil?". He knew this question was quick but it would be enoughOOC: i am talking to Deven
IC: DekalOooookay, maybe this wasn't my smartest idea after all, the Toa of Sonics thought, second guessing his decision to bring these guys in. Hopefully they were better at fighting then making jokes. "On a more relevent note," Dekal said, forcefully silencing them with the use of his elemental power, "We're going to head over to Ta-Koro soon, so if there's anything you need to get, get it now. We'll meet back here in an hour. Any questions?"The Toa of Sonics had yet to drop the field of silence around them."No? Okay then, I'll stay here, stock up on supplies, don't be late."
IC: Avalanche"I'm good" Avalanche assured "I've got everything I need right here"he gestured to his knife, staff and shield in quick succession.
IC: SpyderWith a hiss, Spyder brough his shield up to block, which cracked under the pounding it was taking. The twisted being sidestepped then jab, before shooting webbing from his clawed hand towards the Skakdi's face, aiming to blind the being with the strands. This, while still an attack, was really only a distraction.Behind Frii'Glokk came the sound of crystal flying through the air, the light notes almost musical as Spyder directed cloud of shard towards the Skakdi's back. If he was lucky, they would imbed themselves inside his wounds, causing even more pain.
IC:The webbing was disintegrated with a quick blast of heat vision, and the sound of the could of tiny crystals warned Frii'Glokk early enough for him to sprint diagonally, dodging the cloud, then he continued running at Spyder, feinting a low slash to the legs with his sword, while his gun arm, in a relaxed position leaning back -so as to not give a hint of his plans to Spyder- fired off two more shots at the beast's chest. If this worked, Spyder instantly would move the shield to block the slash, which, for all intents and purposes in Spyder's mind, would be considered a real threat, and the bullets would smash into the enemy's chest at point-blank range.
IC: SpyderThe twisted Toa leaped back and to the right of the slash, thus dodging the point-blank shots as well as the slash aimed at him. the sudden movements did nothing for his wounds, though, as a sharp spike of pain erupted from them. With his mind, the Toa of Crystal once again shot the shards towards the Skakdi, widening the cloud in an attempt to make it harder to dodge.
IC:While Spyder made the cloud bigger, in doing so he lessened the thickness. And to add to Frii'Glokk's advantage, the poison from earlier greatly lessened any feeling in him, making the pain not as bad. But Frii'Glokk charged again, this time firing 3 shots, making a diagonal slash with his sword, then attempting a bayonet stab in quick succession.
IC: Sinina, Le-Koro"Wonderful. I was just about to visit the local hotspots." She said, stepping back from the doorway, closing the door behind her. The hint was obvious, perhaps painfully so, to Raxa, but would be a flirtatous remark, an apology, an answer, or some other mundane sentence to any other.
