IC: Mikhail
Mikhail shrugged. "Alright."
IC
"Speaking of which... Why are you here?" She asked curiously.
IC:
Almost instantly, Tera refocused, hand reverting to its normal state. She could tell she'd made Aella uncomfortable, but she could also tell that it wasn't the best time to bring it up. Cocking her head slightly at her statement, she watched her limbs carefully for signs of unsteadiness.
"Can you move alright?"
IC: Aella
"Well...I feel like if I'm not careful I could lose my balance...the room is spinning a little bit." It had been easier to ignore previously, but now that all the hugging and crying was done I was noticing it a lot more.
"It's not very convenient at all."
IC:
"I can see how that would be an issue." Tera quipped, a slight smile spreading across her face. Carefully she stepped forward and turned so she was standing next to her friend, wary of knocking her off balance.
"Put your arm around my neck, i'll help you back to the living room so we can get you seated."
IC:
"Um, ok, I guess." I say, not really sure how I feel about the head pat. "Just keep in mind that some powers affect me differently when I'm, you know, changed. Song's power's were supposed to emotionally wreck you past functioning, but it didn't do her any good."
IC: Aella
I did as Tera suggested and put my arm around her neck.
"I could get used to getting carried around like this." I smiled devilishly.
IC: Ashley
"I think being entangled in vines effect everyone about the same." She grinned.
IC:
"Good. I was afraid it might be chemical related."
IC: Ashley
"Chemical?" Ashley cocked her head. "Why would you think that?"
IC:
"Because certain plants have tranquilizing properties."
IC: Ashley
"That's true, I could always grow plants that do that."
IC: Aella
I did as Tera suggested and put my arm around her neck.
"I could get used to getting carried around like this." I smiled devilishly.
IC: Ashley
"I think being entangled in vines effect everyone about the same." She grinned.
IC:
"I wouldn't if I were you." Tera replied, smiling slightly as she took a step forward and helped Aella do the same. "It seems like fun and games, but before you know it you're little more than an intelligent stuffed animal."
IC: Aella
"Whattttttt?" I drawled out, we continued into the living area and toward the couch, which thankfully wasn't far, my feet felt like they didn't want do quite what I wanted, the little trouble makers...
"You mean like a...teddy bear?" I stopped when I realized I actually knew what a teddy bear was.
"I actually know what that is! Go me!" I was very proud of that, even if it was only remembering a stuffed toy.
IC:
"I don't doubt that you could hold your own, but please don't let your guard down." I say, still a little tense. "It is her -I mean my- nature to be deceptive."
IC: Ashley
Ashley climbed up onto Sierra's bed, stood up, and started to jump repeatedly. Boing! Boing! Boing!
"It's okay...I'm always prepared!" Boing! Boing! Boing! "If you try to cheat in monopoly, I'll know!" Boing! Boing! Boing!
IC:
I try unsuccessfully to choke back a laugh. "How old are you, Ashley?"
IC Tokiomi
"... Da... Ne, ne... Da... Zbogom." Hanging up the phone, Tokiomi began walking away from the blast zone and towards the shore. If his request was granted, there would be a submersible drone on its way; judging from the workload that SHIELD had to deal with, it could be a long wait. "At least they can spare a few students from the Science Department; it's not like I'm asking for their best from operations." Saying that, Tokiomi continued to walk, finally settling down on a bench by the shoreline. "According to camera footage, the mecha emerged around their and came ashore here..."
OOC anybody who wants to join the investigation, come on over!
IC: Ashley
"I'm seventeen! Almost eighteen!" Boing! Boing! Boing!
"How about you?"
IC:
"I'm seventeen too, but only just." I look down and sigh. "I think Mia just decapitated your frog."
IC: Ashley
Ashley giggled as she continued to bounce on the bed. "That's okay, I have lots more!" Ashley dug into her pockets and then pulled out a small handful of origami frogs, before releasing them into the air.
IC:
Tera laughed quietly, smile widening. "Yes, that's right. A teddy bear. And if you're not careful, you'll end up someone's teddy bear to carry around, and abduct."
"Such is your fate."
IC:
"You make a lot of these, don't you?"
IC: Aella
I laughed, almost tripping as I did. "Oh noooooooooo!" As we reached the couch I pulled my weight toward the cushions unexpectedly.
IC: Ashley
Ashley bounced up one more time, higher than she'd done previously, and then fell back first onto the bed. She giggled as she bounced a bit from the impact.
"Yeah...I made most of them before classes....and during classes....and after..."
IC:
Under normal circumstances, Tera was a fairly balanced and athletic person. It rather came with her choice of hobby. In this case, however, she was tired after carrying Aella for several blocks. As such, when she threw her weight forward, Tera was dragged with her, landing on the couch decidedly ungracefully.
Sitting up properly, she blinked, and pushed her hair back into place. "Well, that was sneaky of you."
IC:
"What type of classes do students take here?" I ask, sitting down on my bed.
IC: Aella
I wasn't able to reply, I was too busy laughing hysterically as I stretched myself across the couch.
"I'm an evil teddy bear." I finally said when I was calm enough.
IC: Ashley
"Oh, the normal kind of classes you'd see in any school, only everyone in your classes have crazy, bizarre super powers."
IC:
"I bet classes get interrupted often by said super powers."
IC: Ashley
Ashley nodded, "Sometimes, but the teachers usually have ways of keeping things under control."
IC:
"They're mutants too?" I look at her incredulously.
IC: Mikhail
"Do any of you want something to eat?"
IC:
"Cookies!?" Trinity asked, sitting up excitedly as she remembered the sweet-tasting food.
IC:
"I noticed that." Tera quipped, giving her a mock glare as she re-adjusted her hair. At Mikhail's question, she looked up. "What do you have? I'm famished."
IC:
"They must have. Otherwise they wouldn't be alive at all." I give a short, humorless laugh.
IC: Mikhail
"Pancakes or french toast?"
IC: Aella
My stomach growled on que.
"Tera, which of those is tastier?"
IC: Ashley
"Yeahhhhhh, though it's become a pretty route thing around here, the chaos and destruction."
IC:
I lie down and close my eyes. "Have you ever considered pretending to be normal?"
IC:
"Such is the debate that has raged since the dawn of time, neither side coming to a clear answer on which tastes better." A pause. "Pancakes, please."
IC: Ashley
"Normal?" Ashley asked, sounding confused. "You mean like, pretending I don't have green hair with leaves and flowers growing out of it?"
IC: Aella
"Pancakes." I decided to just go with Tera's choice. It didn't really matter which I had anyway, I'd never tasted either and I was really hungry.
IC:
"Good point. I guess some of us don't have that luxury."
