  • IC: Song"Excuse me."Song said conversationally, from a point about seven feet to Raknar's left and Lohkar's right. The Lightning Toa leaned against a rock, her hand near a knife as always. Her expression was guarded, with a mixture of curiosity. "Would anyone like to explain what the karz is going on?"

  • IC: Tank - Ga-WahiTank just continued watching the strange exchange happening before him. Confusion was pretty much the most dominant emotion currently in Tank."Do what you will with the chance to stop the other Bearers. We're leaving."With that Tank turned around, scooping up Tuara and Dorian's Journal before walking off with Kearrstrun towards the trees, "I'm ready to go to one of those hiding places you told me about."

  • OOC: I'm honestly not as surprised by this twist as I probably should, but eh, it's great to see the old captain once again.IC Yasurek:Yasurek stared. Lohkar was here. His original boss. The one person who he had felt somewhat relavent around. Here. Again. "Captain Lohkar sir," Yasurek said, saluting, "It's a pleasure to see you again, Though I would very much like to know where you've been at since the mutiny." At that point Raknar basically declared his turning the ship over to Lohkar. Yasurek was saddened by this. If Lohkar could just show up and have the man who mutinied him immediately give up and leave, than it must have been terrible for Raknar to be captain. Yasurek hoped that he hadn't done anything to make life on the ship difficult. Oh wait, I haven't done anything at all, said his self esteem in his head. He'd have to get rid of that eventually. Now though, there was the problem of whether to continue his previous course of action and join Perkahn to go do righteous things, or to stay on the ship, go do piratical activities and all that under his old boss. Once again, there was only one choice. He would go stop the evil mark bearer person with Perkahn and the others, and then he would go back to the Infernavika and resume doing pirate stuff. Maybe. It was entirely possible he'd change his mind about going back later, but the Infernavika was still his home and the place that brought a sense of belonging. Of course, if everybody left after the mark bearer situation was handled, then the ship wouldn't be home anymore, but for the moment, it was.

OOC: Do I detect puppeteering, Vezok? :P Merror's not moving until Tuck replies. And there have been far too many gentle placings of hands on shoulders today XD
I agree. Merror is WAY too useful for this next post. Speaking of gentle hands on shoulders...Watch me BREAK THE TREND!ICThere is always a breaking point. A moment in time where find yourself at that ledge, balancing on that precipice, where a decision must be made. A place where you are wither forced to change, to adapt, evolve to survive these new conditions, or you don't and suffer the consequences. A place you you must push past the limit that has been holding you back, go father than you have even gone before. An event that shows you whether or not you have the will to carry on.Win or go home. This was not the first such moment of my life; there have been many times I've had to push myself past what I thought I was capable of, summon the will to defeat a self-doubt. This is why I became the best Kohlii player on the island; I've always had the will, the fortitude, to go that extra mile, do the extra exercise, stay the extra hour. I was not a stranger to such events. The outcome of this moment however far surpassed anything I had ever encountered before. As the bottomless chasm yawned before me, I could see where it would lead: a life of battling my own inner emotions, feeling, passions, an existence much like many other toa on the island. Toa who were angry, hurt, rejected, dismissed... always fighting against themselves. Never able to fulfill their destiny because they were too busy keeping themselves together and living the life they wanted out of rebellion. This was true even for matorn, something the Makuta exploited and why the Three Virtues were almost non-existent. I have always been an active matoran, passionate, full of ideals of energy; if I were to go down this road, this easy path of self-depreciation, I will literally destroy myself from the inside out. Not right away mind you, but the way I live my life, the way I interact with people, my carefree yet hardcore mentality...No, I will not give in. I was better than that. I was better than them. I can be passionate, be energetic, be lively, be charismatic, be emotional without fear of people bursting into flame around me. I can keep them separate, isolated, controlled. I will master this. I will not give in. I will not give in.When Merror touched my my body stiffened, and I could feel him tense up as well. When I suddenly stood up I could see in his body language he was preparing for the worst. And when I gave him that deadpan stare followed by what could be described as "If looks could kill... " I saw him prepare and move between me and Cael. Before he could react further my hands came up and with a loud clang of metal I grabbed his shoulder armor.Clearly, by the look on his face, he was not expecting this, especially the part where I pulled him close, close enough we could feel each others breath, my fingers now exerting a vice-like grip on him. Then I opened my mouth."What part of 'Leave me alone' don't you understand? Every fiber of my being wants to lash out, give into this fiery furnace of rage and hate that in bubbling over right now, a cauldron of destruction that is just begging to be let loose. You of all people should know of the destructive tendencies of fire, how easy it is to get tied down emotionally, to get irritated by the little things. And you are just a part of the problem. All of you were told what I needed, heard my silent pleas, but instead decided to ignore those warning and push ahead anyways. I could hardly be blamed for going over the edge. But you know what? I'm not going to. Know why? Because I'm better than that."I was speaking in a very low voice, very calm, and very lucid, which starkly opposed my current demeanor. And it was now that Merror began noticing that he felt significantly warmer than he did before. "I'm better than that because I've always been better than that. I have always been in control of my emotions, always been able to keep a cool head even in the midst of battle, and karzahni if I'm going to lose myself now just because I can sling a few fireballs. Yet you have insisted in continuing this assault on my temperament, my psyche. I am not going to let you, or anyone else, destroy what I have spent a lifetime building. So you are going to stand here, take it like a toa, and help me, so help me Mata-Nui."That's when Merror got hit with a wave of scorching heat.Up until now I had been exhausted. After that first blast I drained, most of my elemental energy gone, and thus my general energy as well. But it wasn't gone, and with it being tied to my emotions, well, I could pull together more shots quite easily. Exhausted, drained... but not depleted. As long as I still had something left I was a threat. That changed now.Being less than a day old I was less than perfect on this. In fact, it was downright dangerous. But I did it anyway, letting my fire be fueled by my anger, my frustration, my emotion as heat and simply dumping it on Merror. When I started to feel tired I pushed even harder, bringing up memories of the past day to fuel the exchange. My grip got tighter the harder I pushed, and I could see my fingers growing re-hot as the transfer took place. Sweat dripping, teeth clenched, a small whine as air was blowing around us from the temperature difference... my body was now starting to get confused, I felt a little woozy-So I let go, released all the clamps, just let all the frustration go searing out. It was like a dam of water as I relinquished every drop of power that toa stone gave me...And that was it.One moment I was unleashing a torrent of heat, the next there was nothing but steam as my sweat evaporated off my body. I blinked a few times, experiencing this new feeling: empty. I was out. Gone. Exhausted, drained... and now depleted. I had nothing left. There was nothing left to fuel my anger. There was a small clank as my fingers released themselves from Merror, that woozy sensation now lightheadedness. I slowly staggered backwards, my body literally having no energy to even move properly. I hadn't eaten in days, I was emotionally spent, and now my elemental powers were kaput. It was a freeing feeling. And I didn't blow the hut up.I won this battle. My eyes dimmed as I sank backward, heavily landing on the bed behind me. Like a bucket of cold water tossed on a small torch I went unconscious, and this was long before my body hit the cot.I was out cold. Literally.

  • IC-Grochi:"Raknar," Grochi replied evenly. Then, surprising everybody, he shook Raknar's hand as though they were good friends."Be careful," he told the captain. "I don't want to have to stick another bomb on my chest just to get you out of trouble." He then stepped back, standing beside Perkahn, as Ruta and Verak slowly edged away from the group. Things were getting two weird for those two.

He gestured with his arm toward the section of beach a few hundred yards away. "As for a spot, how about there?"IC: SongSong was quiet a long moment. Her face was inscrutable. To an observer, she could just as easily have been contemplating how to kill the people present as contemplating the question. Finally, she spoke up. "I've been on a ship a long time. I'm going to spend some time on land."She raised a finger. "But, send me a Dikapi when you have a ship. I'll be back before you can blink."

  • IC:Agni sighed quietly, inaduible to the others around him, once again. Merror had not budged. But mabye that had been for the bast after all. Although, the way Joske had looked at the other Toa of fire. He refrained from saying I told you so, but he could very well still feel the heat that had lingered on in the air. Feeling a bit tired himself, he absorbed the rest of it himself. That lifted his spirits a little bit. Not enough to bring him back to full power, not after last nights events. Only a good nights sleep would be able to cure that. Probably the first real lesson Joske would learn all by himself when he woke up.Thinking of which, the Toa of fire pulled out a small roll of parchment from his pouch, as well as a piece of hardened charcoal. Turning his back on Merror and Cael he quickly wrote a short note on the bottom of the scroll, before tearing off that part of it, and a little extra. He folded the piece of parchment to half size two times, until it fit comfortably in his hand. On the outside, he wrote Joske's name, before putting the scroll and charcoal away again. He stepped over to the cot where the sleeping Toa lay, putting the note on the nightstand, where he would definitely find it in the morning...or whenever he would wake up. It was hard to tell with a freshly transformed Toa.Agni turned to leave then. He still had a report to file on what was probably his hardest case to date. But the chance encounter with Joske had changed things up quite a bit. He still felt a number of emotions. The guilt over Mefs death, the helplessness when it came to Valrias seemingly neverending emotional pain. And there was still that voice of regret in the back of his head, the one that only he could hear, because it was his own conscience, chiming him over what they had done last night, to the goons, to Telric. But he would deal with the consequences of those actions when they came, not now.But seeing the young Toa of fire, totally overwhelmed by his newfound powers, reminded him of his own situation somehow. Sure of what he knew and how the world was supposed to work, but looking for the right path to follow, lacking a certain sense of direction. That wasn't totally accurate of course, but Agni didn't know how to better describe it at this moment. Maybe he was just projecting his own feelings on others around him. He wasn't sure. What was sure about though, was the Joske had potential. Always had. And it had only grown now. He remembered the Matoran well enough from seeing him in the stadium. He most certainly didn't lack in self-confidence, even if the transformation had shaken that a little bit, perhaps. What he was sure about though was that patting his back and whispering things along the lines of I totally get how you feel...were not going to help him. Hence the note at the bedside: Joske, that was quite the impressive display, both of your fire-power and your restraint. Not many can pull that off on their first day. You might not be in the Kolhii team right now, but the potential is the same, if not greater. Even if you're not standing on the field anymore, you can still be one of, if not 'the' best player on the team. This time, for the whole Island. So if you are interested in getting some real training instead of just talk, find me at the Ga-Koro Marines headquarter when you're ready. Your choice.

    -Agni

Agni gave both Cael and Merror a small nod, before passing between them and walking to the door. Quietly, he slipped back outside and made his way back to the Marines HQ.

  • IC: Skyra - Ga-koro - I frowned as I put my katana away. "Alright, maybe that was a bit too much too soon for him, but he didn't have to get so...angry...or maybe he did? I'm too used to Havon, he's rather mellow for a Toa of Fire, speaking of Toa of Fire...." I had most definitely noticed Merror, it had been quite a while since I had seen him, it was nice to see an old friend. I decided to wait outside the hut, I needed to talk to Merror, it had been way too long. IC: Savina - Ga-koro -Savina stared at Cipher for a moment or two like she was a deer looking straight into a headlight. Then she promptly shrieked when the iron shard hit Cipher and fired her arrow right at Cipher, seeing as he was pretty much at point blank range the arrow probably didn't miss. The arrow was tipped with a poison that would cause temporary paralysis. She had pretty much an unlimited supply of the poison thanks to her mask of kindred, which she could use to make as much as she needed. She then dropped her bow and activated her elemental power, vines instantly began to sprout from the lily-pad they were standing on and wrap around Cipher. IC: Havon - Hospital -Havon suddenly began to stretch his arms and legs, he was waking up, Dekuna dispelled the sound barrier so Havon could hear again. "Dekuna?" Havon said in a happy sorta surprise. He saw the others with him as well. "It's great to see you guys!" He exclaimed, almost sitting up, but stopped from the pain it caused. "Ow...I guess I gotta take it easy..." OOC: Mimira and Lasinia from Ta-Wahi IC: Mimira - Infernavika, Ga-Wahi -Mistweaver soon brought the two back to the Infernavika, landing on the deck. "We're back!" Mimira said happily with her arms stretched all the way up.

  • IC: "Ah ah ah," Zijak looked down to see a black spear inches away from his chest. Helding it was a black gauntlet, encasing an electric blue Toa. For the first time since the crew had landed, Arzanyos had spoken up. The crew could almost feel the energy crackling from his speartip as he walked in a steady circle, stopping when he was fully in between Lohkar and Zijak. "Here's the thing, Zijak. If you shoot the 'dear captain' here, then everythin's gonna fall apart. You put away that gun, and nobody gets hurt. The Raknar goes one way, Lohkar another, an' the rest of us choices between the two of 'em." Arzanyos paused, adjusting his grip on his spear to prime for a thrust. "On the other hand, now, if you don't drop yer weapon, well then, I guess I'll just have to drop you."

Hari sighed leaning back on the towel, her one leg crossing over the other as she thought quietly for a few seconds. In fact she had gone more than a minute without speaking. Ga-Koro was a good place for reflection, but her spirit remained restless. She wished she could just wave her hand and Krayn and his friends would have had such a tragic life so far. Yet she knew that anything that was really worth having could not solved so easily. She liked Krayn and she wanted him to be safe. The truth was, was that Naona could show up at anytime and put her back on duty. And given the type of swimsuit she was wearing. Naona would be flipping out for another reason. She laughed slightly at the thought of it, before drifting back into thought.

  • IC-Skeldan:Skeldan was, to say the least, interested.First, he had seen a new Toa. That was interesting in and of itself-not a new Toa, as in, a Toa just arrived on the island, but transformed via Toa Stone. That almost never happened. Something he might have to write a song about, now that he thought about it.Second, he had learned this new Toa was Joske Nimil, the widely renowned Kolhii player from Ta-Koro. He had an excellent offense, Skeldan had been told, and he could transition from that to a defensive tactic in the middle of a maneuver. He was great. And now, a Toa. He'd certainly be learning a few new moves. Finally, he'd just watched as Joske, brand-new Toa of Fire, burned himself out of elemental energy, right there on his first day on the job. He snapped. Too many Toa had popped up around him, running up and all trying to offer their own advice, all at once. He couldn't help but feel sympathy for the lad-he knew a few people who'd been in that situation before, and supposedly it was never fun.Of course, Skeldan had helped with that...and the excuse that 'he didn't know' didn't truly count. He could have continued along, kept his nose out of it, but...no. He didn't know why, but he felt drawn to come and join with this group here. Something odd, certainly. Why had he done that?"Ah, well," he muttered aloud, not noticing as the others, Merror and Cael, turned to face him, Agni having left after writing a small note. It seemed Agni certainly wanted to help Joske with his powers...and he probably knew him. Merror, well, he had the want to help, but a previous relationship seemed it might have been lacking. And Cael, well, she was different. She seemed to be trying to help him in more the form of a mother scolding her child, or a girl scolding her boyfriend. He chuckled lightly at the thought, drawing yet another glance this time, most likely annoyed. Most likely had something to do with what had happened the day before, that Tarakava attack. He knew somebody'd been hurt in it, and Joske may very well have been that person. And, judging by the items within the cabin, it did make sense that Cael might possibly be a doctor."Well," he said after a moment, loud enough to signify that he actually was speaking to the others, "What ought we to do now?" They'd already moved Joske into a bed, off the floor, so...he couldn't really think of anything. "Stay here until he wakes up, keeping vigil as he sleeps? Honorable, but...weird." He shrugged-he'd seen warriors enough keep vigil over their dead friends, but it would certainly be different with a live one."Possibly see if we can help him over to that other Toa?" He asked after another moment. "He certainly seemed to have a want to help, and judging by that note he wrote...who knows. It would be good to have a few people on hand when Joske starts training, just to keep any fires under control, and what-not." He shrugged a second...third? Maybe a fourth time."Regardless, make the decision now so I can head off and get some sleep. I need it."

  • IC: Whilst it scared the everliving karz out of him, Savina's shriek was probably what saved Cipher. He whipped his head to face her, puzzled. What was that all abou--She turned the bow upon him, and time seemed to slow to a crawl under the Calix's influence. There was no time to express his outrage. No time for any plan. No time to try and talk his way out.All he could do was move.So he did. With the kind of speed he had no business using, he sprung from his seat, the arrow passing a hair's breadth from his back. Even as he did so, he grabbed the top strap of his oversized travel bag and flung it at Savina in one smooth motion, hoping to disorient her. He turned to face his assailant--Or tried. His legs were constricted by vines, and refused to budge.Okay, you wanna turn up the heat, then? he thought, angered by the spontaneous attack on his life. Focusing his elemental power, a wave of heat burst from the toa of plasma's frame, even as the vines began to weaken, shriveling into dried brown husks.I'll be glad to do the same!

  • IC-Praggos:Praggos, bored, walked about Ga-Koro, the guitar he had bought put into a case and slung on his back, his satchel on the same side. He had...two, three wine glasses, two bottles of wines, a goodly measure of widgets, a sword, and now a guitar on him-he'd discarded his Machete in favor of some more widgets so that he could get the guitar and have a nice amount left.Suddenly, as he walked about, he heard a shriek, followed by the sound of vines crackling under heat. He sighed, thinking that Yuru was doing something again, but no...it was another Toa of Plantlife, a smaller female, fighting a Toa of Plasma.Odd, that Toa with a bow looked rather familiar...ah. She'd been looking for somebody at the same time as Dorian, with similar zeal as Dorian, though manifested in a different way. In fact, Praggos just noticed he'd been walking in the direction he'd last seen Dorian go. Odd.No matter, though. It seemed there was one...no, wait, there was Dorian farther off, fighting another being, so two fights going on, either of which he could get involved in...or sit back and watch. If only somebody like Dalia was here that he could share the wine with.

  • IC-Kalios:Kalios grinned, his cocky smile stretching ear to ear. He set his staff in the sand with a thump, leaning on it as he looked over at Endriin."That depends," he said, his face changing to a very serious one. "I mean, first we have to meet adventure, then we take adventure out for dinner, maybe get adventure drunk..." he raised an eyebrow suggestively, then laughed at his silent joke."Ah, no. I've got a house not too far from here, so we can always stop there before we do anything."

  • IC-Kalios:Right as Endriin wrote that, Kalios's stomach rumbled, and he smiled sheepishly."Yeah, I don't have any food...so that would probably be a good idea," he noted. Then he thought for a moment, and laughed slightly."We'll have to be careful, though."

  • IC (Cael)Cael had watched with a vague uneasiness as Joske gripped Merro and proceeded to talk in a low, controlled voice, so different from the loud ranting of earlier. She wasn't sure if he would be able to hold on to his temper, but as the speech went on, the Toa of Water found herself relaxing slightly.Joske had done it. Without meditation or lessons on focus, without advice or outside help. He had found his centre, and he wasn't giving in to the fire that clamoured to consume him and everything around him. Then the room began to heat up. Cael watched as Joske's hands started to glow, first dimly, then with rising intensity as he poured waves of heat into Merror's armour. The healer began to sweat: she had little resistance to high temperatures, and the room wasn't particularly large, so the temperature was rising quickly. Then it ended. In a way, it was sort of anticlimactic: Cael had almost been expecting Joske to cause her home to spontaneously combust, or unleash an explosion big enough to level half of Ga-Koro. But it simply ended. The Toa of Fire ran out of elemental energy, the last reserves granted to him by the Toa Stone spent, and the heat ceased to pour from his hands. He stumbled backwards, obviously drained and completely exhausted, but there was a hint of a smile on his face, as though he had just gone through the biggest battle of his life, and emerged the victor.Joske stumbled against the cot that stood against the wall, and fell backwards, his eyes rolling up into his skull as he did so. He hit the bed, unconscious, and lay there like one dead. One of the other two Toa of Fire in the room absorbed the heat Joske had emitted, lowering the temperature in the hut and providing Cael with instant relief. Sweat had beaded on her forehead and dripped down her face, her body vainly attempting to retain homeostasis in a suddenly foreign environment. The Toa of Water closed her eyes and concentrated for a moment; the sweat sank into her skin and disappeared, leaving only faint trails of salt down her mask. Having control over water meant rarely having to worry about dehydration, though few Toa realized it.But the healer was no longer thinking about herself. Seeing Joske collapse had awakened her training and experience again, and she immediately rushed to the side of the bed. The Toa of Fire had fallen halfway onto the bed, and Cael had to hoist his legs up and onto the cot to allow him to lie normally, an effort that left her slightly breathless. She gently pressed two fingers against the side of his throat, and felt a steady pulse, matched by a faint, almost imperceptible pulse in his heartlight, which glowed brightly. Joske's heartbeat was slightly faster than the average Toa's, which Cael assumed to be the aftereffects of the exhertion he had undergone in purging his body of elemental energy.Placing the back of her hand against Joske's forehead, the healer checked his temperature. He was running hotter than usual, which, again, wasn't unusual, based on the circumstances and on his being a Toa of Fire. His exertion had left him sweaty, though, so Cael dampened a cloth and gently wiped his brow, cooling his forehead. Finally, the Toa of Water took a thin sheet from a shelf and spread it over the sleeping Joske. She stepped back and drew the curtains, dimming the room. Her work finished, it was only then that she realized that one of the Toa of Fire had left, leaving only Merror with her. She beckoned for the Toa of Fire to follow her, and passed through a doorway opposite the entrance, which led into the main portion of the hut, a larger, circular room. There was another door in this portion of the hut, through which one could enter and exit without going through the back room. At one end of the room was her bed, and along the wall ran a low bookshelf, full of books and tablets. The other end of the hut contained a simple stove and a table and a few chairs, as well as a large cabinet. It was to this cabinet that Cael went. She opened it, and withdrew a small bag woven of leaves, which she placed on the table. She looked at Merror. "Sit down." Her voice was kind, but firm, and Merrick obeyed. The healer began to examine his shoulders where Joske had grabbed him. The armour was darker in these areas, and slightly warped, as if the heat from Joske's hands had been intense enough to melt it. The question was, had the Toa felt any pain from the heat? He was a Toa of Fire, so his natural immunity would have protected him, but to what degree?"How do you feel?" she asked.

  • Ooc: Raz, I may be creative enough to handle just about anything, including that, but I still think it was a lapse in quality and wasn't warranted in the slightest.Ic: Anthyn had been hidden from view by an illusional fish cart several yards from Dorian, but that would have not protected her at all from the rain of nails that showered everything abound Dorian like a pestilence of locusts eating up the life, leaving holes and damage in anything that nature birthed. At the reckoning of the threat suddenly posed, Anthyn defended herself. She dropped the barrier illusion by "throwing it aside" and "destroying" it before leaping into the nearest hut and pulling a villager from the hut in front of her as a meatshield and curled herself up tightly behind the comparatively small frame. Nails punched through the natural wall, making little holes that let light bleed in. The villager protested but her cries ended as soon as the nails shot through her wall.Anthyn got up from behind the matoran and let the doll slide to her feet, seeing that the matoran had taken four spikes and was very much far-gone now. As the corpse slid down, it left streaks of blood down the Valkyr's body and legs. Two metal splinters had hit Anthyn, though: One in a wing and another in her leg, and she pulled them both out, letting the blood seep out and blend with her other crimson lines -- if anything they were a fashion statement with no true damage done. Her feathers had snagged the one dart with resistance and her armor had hindered the other spike from doing harm. The storm over, she emerged fro the hut and faced Dorian again."Now I'm new to this place," she said calmly, "but I'm pretty sure you toa aren't supposed to kill and hurt the innocent or do unneeded damage." She tossed the bloody body down with a sickening crumple. "You see what you have done?" Anthyn condemned, then pointed around her at the other huts and structures. "You're hardly good at preserving things... or at fighting, for that matter," she teased. She could see the redness in Dorian's face as he understood what she meant. For a fighter he was sorely losing while he had left no lasting mark on Anthyn."I suppose I should re-introduce myself to you," she said as she stepped forward a few steps in her familiar beguiling gait. "After all, I'm not Kee anymore. In this form I am called Anthyn, and I am a Valkyr. Now Dorian, I hope you can do better than getting beaten up by a woman and shooting nails at everything that breaths. So, can you?" she challenged him. Her wings vanished into nothing as she cloaked them, though; she was going to use them as the secret weapons they were best used for.****Stannis enjoyed the rest he shared with the others; respite was always welcome even to the toughest leaders. He used a pike to shoot a pair of coconuts from a nearby palm tree and retrieved them, then used the weapon's tip to drive holes into the tough skin of the nuts, testament to the power of his body and his weapons. But he did not drink from them first and insteadhanded the coconuts to Lepidran and Aurax before hunting another tree with fruits for his own consumption."How long do you think it'll take to find the others, Stannis? I mean, they could be anywhere..." Aurax asked him."As long as it takes," was his reply as he brought down another sphere of nutrition. As Stannis opened it like he did the others he realized the answer may not have been as fulfilling as Aurax had hoped, and continued to explain. "I do not know when the search will be over, but I hope it will be quick. To make it easiest, however, I have a plan. The others' names are Sulov, Reordin and Oreius. In every village we enter, starting with Ga-Koro, we will split apart. Go and ask the locals and travelers if they know those men and where they are. Then, at mid-morning the next day, we will meet in the city market square to share our findings. If we found the matoran, then you two will remain behind while I find him and bring him into the team.""Why are the instructions so specific?" Aurax asked further."Everything has its reason and purpose," Stannis elaborated. "We split apart to hit more people quicker. We operate alone because it is more natural that way. We meet at the town market because it is the most public place and at mid-morning because it is busiest then, allowing us to meet more clandestinely then. I meet with the found matoran because I, as the Wanderer, am the one they will be expecting." He slurped the tasty and refreshing liquid within the hard casing like it were a fine wine, relishing the oily texture and thick flavor as it cooled him. "We are an elevated group now, and unlike our previous iteration, we represent a new threat to the Makuta. No expense can be spared to guarantee the longevity of our team and its operations. We have to be as careful as possible until we are at full strength. And even then I don't know."Finish your coconuts and ready yourselves. We'll be moving in a moment."

  • IC: Havon - Hospital -Havon suddenly began to stretch his arms and legs, he was waking up, Dekuna dispelled the sound barrier so Havon could hear again. "Dekuna?" Havon said in a happy sorta surprise. He saw the others with him as well. "It's great to see you guys!" He exclaimed, almost sitting up, but stopped from the pain it caused. "Ow...I guess I gotta take it easy..."
IC (Dekuna): "It's good to see you too, Havon", Dekuna replied with a slight smile. Clearly Havon hadn't lost any more cheer than any of the other times Dekuna had seen him in Hospital. For someone with such a propensity for health problems, he never seemed to lose that spark of optimism. "It looks like you've been having some adventures since we last met".

  • IC, Perkahn:(Beach)Perkahn shook Raknar's hand. "See you around, Raknar. Hope you find some luck in life for once in a while." Subsequently, ignoring the debacle with Zijak and Arzanyos, he pushed their weapons aside and shook their hands as well. Then subsequently Song, and pretty much everyone else."Let's go, people," he gestured to Grochi and to Yasurek, and to anyone who would follow him. "one Karz of a hunt awaits us."

  • IC (Merror)Merror allowed Joske to grab hold of him. This needed to happen. For Joske's sake."What part of 'Leave me alone' don't you understand? Every fiber of my being wants to lash out, give into this fiery furnace of rage and hate that in bubbling over right now, a cauldron of destruction that is just begging to be let loose. You of all people should know of the destructive tendencies of fire, how easy it is to get tied down emotionally, to get irritated by the little things. And you are just a part of the problem. All of you were told what I needed, heard my silent pleas, but instead decided to ignore those warning and push ahead anyways. I could hardly be blamed for going over the edge. But you know what? I'm not going to. Know why? Because I'm better than that."Merror stared into Joske's eyes as the young Toa poured all his wrath into him. He felt the hand on his shoulder begin to heat up. He had been expecting this..."I'm better than that because I've always been better than that. So you are going to stand here, take it like a toa, and help me, so help me Mata-Nui."With that, Joske released a wave of heat. Merror was prepared. Even as the scorching heat flowed out of Joske, Merror absorbed it. A certain amount escaped into the hut, most of which was absorbed by Agni, but the majority of it was directed at Merror, and he received it, and contained it. The glow gradually decreased, until it vanished. There was scarcely a burn on Merror's armour.Joske collapsed onto the bed. Merror turned to see Agni writing a note on a scrap of parchment. A brief glimpse showed Merror what it said.Good. He's in capable hands. When Agni left, the Ga-Toa healer asked him to sit down. Merror did so gladly, but not because of any physical pain."I'm so sorry," he said to Cael. "I had to do that. Because to show him who he truly was...I had to make him angry."There was sorrow in Merror's eyes."And he passed the test. Perhaps, one day...he may forgive me."He looked up at the healer, as a Toa of Ice entered."That's who I have to be," he said. "The one they can hate. The one who can walk away. Now I know Joske is on the true path; he will have teaching and guidance, albeit not from me. Better that way. I can't drag a young, inexperienced Toa into this; bad things happen when people get too close to me. I suppose my element is rather fitting; get too close, and you get burned..."Merror sighed. Cael seemed like someone you could talk to, and he suddenly found himself sharing more than he'd intended."That's why I have to be alone. I can't put anyone else in danger ever again. Not after..."The Toa of Fire closed his eyes, hands on his mask.IC (Lohkar)"My thanks, Arzanyos," said Lohkar, edging around the Toa of Lightning. He grinned at Zijak."Zijak!" he exclaimed. "It's been too long. Although, as I recall, it was you that mutinied on me, an' cast me off on that islet. Seems fair that I returned the favour, eh? But let bygones be bygones."He turned to the crew."Mates," he said. "Who's stayin' with me? The REAL Cap'n of the Infernavika?"He looked to the Mark Bearers."Because," he said, an adventurous glint in his eye, "this little venture sound very interestin' ta me. What d'ya say we lend a hand?"
