IC: Ashley

"Yeah...but it's alright, I like looking different than everyone else, makes me feel unique!" Ashley let out an uncontrollable giggle.

IC:

"Not that it's a bad thing, but I'm starting to think that you and I are polar opposites." I draw my knees up and put my head in my hands. "But hey, you said that you like being unique."

IC: Ashley

"Mmmmhmm!" Ashley replied, stretching a bit on the bed. "Though, we both like cats."

IC: Mikhail

"I'll get on with that. Ms Tera, please take care of the others."

IC:

Tera glanced at Aella, who seemed preoccupied with attempting to stretch out in such a way that she took up the whole couch instead of just part, and Trinity, who seemed preoccupied by... Well, everything.

She looked back at Mikhail. "Can't be too hard."

IC: Aella

Fully stretched on the couch, I enjoyed how soft and comfy it was, the bed of my former cell just didn't compare. I had no idea something could be so soft.

I was starting to feel very relaxed as I rested my head against a pillow. I stared up at the ceiling, it spun a little due to my dizziness, sometimes it felt like I was moving even though I knew I wasn't.

IC

After a moment of thought, Tera stood and moved over to a chair nearby before sitting down again. Since Aella had taken over the couch, it was either that or be used as a foot rest.

"Comfy, are we?"

IC: Aella

I nodded after a slight delay, it took me a moment to realize I was being spoken to.

"I've never felt this relaxed before..."

IC:

"True. I know this is a little off topic, but how long have you lived here?"

IC: Mikhail

After the events of the last hour, every single one of them would probably need something to eat. Mikhail was not a great chef at any rate, but he was capable of cooking a rather tasty meal (although seeing that he lived alone, he couldn't exactly judge the quality of his food without someone else's opinion). So he left the others alone in the living room, confident of Tera's ability to keep them from running amok, and went off to prepare a meal.

IC:

"Sooo..." Trinity said, nonchalantly sliding into Tera's lap, "What is the comfy?"

IC:

"I bet not, all things considered."

Tera replied, looking down as Trinity took up a position on her lap. "'Comfy' is an adjective derived from 'comfortable', which refers to how satisfying and relaxing something is to, in this case, sit on."

IC: Aella

I half paid attention to Tera and Trinity's conversation, mostly just enjoying how comfortable I was. My eyes got heavy, till I had no choice but to close them.

IC: Ashley

Ashley was silent for a brief moment, as if thinking it over. "I've lived here for most of my life. I was very young when I was first brought here. When I was five I think..."

IC:

Trinity mulled over this, waiting until Aella had fallen asleep before asking Tera, "... Can you answer my questions..?"

IC:

"Depends on what questions they are, but I can certainly try."

IC:

"... What is the HYDRA?" Trinity asked, looking up at Tera with eyes full of curiosity.

IC:

"Wow. I've lived with my Mom and in foster care for most of my life. So I guess you know tons of other people here."

IC:

"..."

Tera took a deep breath, pulling Trinity into a gentle hug. "HYDRA was formed about seventy years ago, during the second world war. They were an advanced research group, devoted to creating new weapons for their cause. But they broke away, and continued to exist long after the war ended."

"SHIELD, a government agency, was formed to fight them, and that battle raged for decades. HYDRA wants to take over the world, and every time they tried, someone would stop them, back when the world still had its heroes. When all of the heroes and villains were killed, everyone thought HYDRA had died out."

"But really, they'd been biding their time. Experimenting on people like you and Aella, making weapons like the tech from the Battle for New York, recruiting, and building up their strength. So when they came back, we weren't prepared."

"Does that answer your question?"

IC:

"So... What am I?" Trinity asked, raising an eye at the hug, but saying nothing against it.

"You said I was... Created? So does that mean I have to be a HYDRA?"

Thinking about it. Trinity wasn't very sure what this hubub about SHIELD and HYDRA was about. She got that the world was where they were now, but from what Tera said, if HYDRA wanted to take over the world, that would be good. After all, it sounded like there was a bunch of messing around, and not a lot of... Unity.

IC: Ashley

"Yeah, it's like having a really big family, though some people leave, come back, leave again, come back again, new people show up, and stuff like that...."

Ashley stared into the ceiling, as if she was fixated on something.

"Hey...wanna go find some cookies?" She blurred out unexpectedly.

IC: Aella

"No!" I said out loud, louder than I meant to be, I turned my head to look right at Trinity.

"HYDRA Is where we escaped from...they were the ones who kept us in that awful place against our will...they aren't nice and they will hurt you if you go back to them!"

IC:

"I dunno," Trinity said, tilting her head to look at Aella, "I do not remember anything ever hurting..."

IC:

"Trinity."

Tera said softly, patiently. "They hurt Aella. They hurt thousands of people in this city, and killed thousands more. Since they began, they've killed or ruined the lives of hundreds of thousands of people. Including, perhaps, my own family."

"They may have made you, but you're a person. You choose whether you want to be like them or not."

IC:

"I do not even know what you are talking about some of the time," Trinity said, resting her head on Tera's shoulder, "I think... I want to be me. And me wants to know everything."

IC: Aella

At this I put my head back down on the pillow as I readjusted myself on the couch, no longer looking at the other two girls. My breathing was a lot heavier and I was sweating a bit, thinking about HYDRA...and the horrid things they'd done to me...it made me very edgy and nervous. It was hard to calm myself down once I got worked up like this. I tried closing my eyes but I'd start to see images that I did not wish to see, so I stared at the ceiling.

IC: Scorcher

"Unless you have any better ideas on how we can stay off the streets," Kane mused. "I mean if you control pym particles and can make things super big can't you make all three of us really small too?"

"What're pym particles?" Miranda wondered.

IC: Mimic

Once the scene was over and Sierra left with Ashley Christine leaned against a wall for a few minutes while she tried to decide what to do next. Eventually she decided that she could train. She left the hallways and headed down stairs to the basement level and towards the Danger Room.

IC: Jennifer

As Tokiomi approached the shore suddenly a SHIELD submersible rose above the waves before settling on the shore. The hatch opened up and a brown haired woman with bright green eyes climbed out.

Jennifer adjusted her glasses as she looked at Tokomi. This would be her first mission or investigation with SHIELD and Jennifer was keen to get started.

"Hello, I'm Jennifer," she smiled. "I've been sent to aid in the investigation if possible. I was a scientist with SWORD for some time so I hope I'm qualified."

OOC: This last part is now in the present, while her conversation with Fury is taking place in the past.

IC: Triblade

"Are we there yet?"

IC:

"Cookies?" I roll my eyes. "Just what you need, more sugar."

IC:

"Fine. Lead the way."

IC: Ashley

"Yeeeeeee!" Ashley squealed with glee, leaping off the bed and heading toward the door.

"This is gonna be awesome! I bet Dallas got plenty of cookies for the party...we gonna check the party room..."

IC:

"Nah. Another twenty minutes or so," Aleks droned, nearly bored to the point of firing a gun into traffic. The ride had gone by in relative, awkward silence; the Russian soldier of fortune had fidgeted, ruffled his hair, checked his Magnum in traffic, disassembled it at a stoplight, reassembled it at the next, and fiddled with the radio earnestly. Come clean, Summers. Come on.

"If traffic's good, anyway."

IC:

"Well, I mean, you know John," Dallas Green sighed, puffing a lock of blonde hair out of his eyes and tossing a beer can out the window as they kicked back in Alaric's room. "The man would show up late to his own wedding, late to his own funeral...and would leave just before his welcome back party. ######."

"You sure he's gone?" Nicole asked as she sipped from a red solo dolo cup. "How do yah know?" she then giggled a bit because she was slurring her words slightly.

"Because we have enough cheap booze to fuel a space shuttle and he's not drinking it with us," Dal laughed loudly, pulling the tab on another Guinness. "Just youuuu and me."

"Oh that's so true..." Nicole said. "Everyone knows John's a drunk." she laughed. "Sorry your party sorta flopped Dallas, but hey more for us right?" she smiled as she moved closer and put a hand on Dallas' shoulder. With her other hand she put her cup down and then picked up a bottle of vodka and took a swig.

IC: Triblade

"So yeah... you said you were talking to Christine earlier. Was it about me or was it just bull****?" Matt asked as he glanced over at Aleks.

"Because if it was, then I think I know what you two were talking about."

IC: Nicole

"Sorry about that," Nicole muttered as Dallas fell still against the desk. "You look so peaceful like this." she smiled to herself as she ruffled Dallas' blonde hair with one hand.

"But this had to be done." she said as she reached into her large Gucci purse and pulled out a length of chain. She hummed to herself as she began to wrap the chain around arms after pulling them behind him. She then wrapped some around his ankles as well.

"I can't have you waking up and then escaping before we arrive." Nicole sighed. She hated to do this to her totally sexy future husband but sometimes extreme measures were needed.

"You'll be much happier where we are going. We need you to get you away from Ashley. She's totally crazy." Nicole laughed. She then picked Dallas up in her arms. Carrying him was easy when made of pure diamond. She then approached the nearest window and pulled it open before climbing through and dropping down to the ground below. Her strong diamond form took all the impact with ease.

Nicole then straightened herself up and walked to the pink BMW she'd left a few feet away earlier. Yes Nicole had been planning this for a very long time. All she'd needed was a little alcohol and some chains.

Nicole placed Dallas in the passenger-seat and made sure to fasten his seatbelt before she climbed into the drivers seat; turned the key in the ignition and then took off through the grounds. She passed through the gate and headed down the road away from the institute.

IC:

"You guys have everything here, don't you?"

IC: Gabriel

"Jeff we have been attempting to run to the bus for a pretty long time. What the heck are we even doing."

IC: Ashley

"Yeah we...." Ashley stopped in mid sentence, frozen in her place for a moment, she was getting all sorts of distorted images and messages from the plant-life around the school...something was wrong.

"Hey Sierra..." Ashley said slowly, turning her head to look at her. "Have you ever had the feeling that you really need to be somewhere, but you aren't sure where?"

IC: Jeffery

"Dude what the ###### are you talking about? We stopped running when that girl pulled the crazy lunatic out of the bus."

"Jeffery Dallas! Language!"

IC:

I don't answer for a moment, frozen. Something is terribly wrong. "Right about now, yeah."

IC Tokiomi

"Tokiomi Nagato. I think I've heard your name before somewhere; I only returned to Earth from The Peak two months ago, and I think some of the people up there may have mentioned you." The SHIELD agent nodded to the newcomer. "I only got here about fifteen minutes ago, so the equipment we need will take a while to get here. Unless you have it..."

IC: Gabriel

"Everything is seriously confusing me."

IC:

"That's a wise way of looking at it. Now," She leaned forward, whispering in Trinity's ear. "I think Aella needs some help, so I'm going to go help her. But, I don't want you to be bored, so I have something for you."

Tera spent a moment rummaging around in her backpack before pulling out a small, dense book, handing it to Trinity. "This, is a pocket dictionary. I never go anywhere without it. I think you'll enjoy learning from it. Now, I promise to answer more questions later, but right now, Aella needs some support."

Carefully extricating herself from underneath the girl, she moved across the room, plopping down on the edge of the couch near the other woman's chest and looking down at her.

"Something's bothering you. What's up?"

IC:

He dreamed he was a music note, floating happy and aimless through the frenetic swirls of color and soft sound that made up his world. Then the whole left side of Dallas' face caught on fire, and he opened his eyes with a low groan. Through the windshield was empty highway, black and long and lonely; the day outside looked almost as cold as the chains around his arms and legs, and the feeling of betrayal swirling around in his very blood. Only his face had any warmth.

"Really, Nicole?" he groaned, rubbing his face against his shoulder as tenderly as he could. "What the ######, girl? I thought we were tight."

IC:

"You came up."

IC: Ashley

Ashley wordlessly began rushing down the halls, heading toward the party room where she believed Dallas to be. She needed to check something.

She particularly burst through the doors, rushing in to find...nobody?

IC: Aella

I glanced at Tera, happy to have her distracting me from my current...issue. Even if it was for only a moment, the problem was still plaguing my mind.

"I...it's nothing..." I didn't want to bother Tera anymore with my problems, she'd done enough of that already. "I'm just uh...exercising my lungs."
