IC (Zadron)Zadron cursed. The building had no back door. There was no way in but the front. The assassin just hoped Nex was distracting the Toa enough. He ran around to the front of the building. A blast from his energy rifle burnt through the lock. In a flash, Zadron was inside, closing the door behind him.He accomplished this in a matter of a few seconds.
OOC: Then retcon to say Minho made a small hole in the front door, and is preparing to open it.IC: Delak hid so Chronn couldn't see himOOC: I'll be offline for the next two hours or so.
OOC: Too late, Zadron got to the door first.IC: ChronnI was sitting up in my chair, carving into one of my tablets when there was a strange noise in the room right outside of my office. I didn't care, it was not an explosion, so clearly it wasn't my employees blowing up the front door of my home. That meant it was something else. Something that wasn't supposed to be here. This was not going to end well for my employees, however they got in, they were going to pay for it.
IC: [Arkrak]Arkrak sighed as he looked over to the front of the office, only to blink at the sight of Nex. It was rather strange how their suspect was just walking contently towards the office, which meant that he would have to question the Turaga. But first he would have to alert Incommodo."Nex is here," he said. "I'll go question him first. They probably expected our attempts at stopping them."He moved several roofs closer to the office, before addressing the Turaga."So," the Toa of Sonics said. "What are you doing here?"
IC: Nex"I am walking to my home, you meddlesome moron. You forced me into a rather annoying circle"He kept walking, walking past the detective office boredly, still heading in an unknown direction."Now if you wish to continue your stupidity, go bother someone else."
IC: [Arkrak]"Well it's rather suspicious that you're here when we tried to capture you," Arkrak remarked. "And besides, where are your friends?"
IC: Nex"My employees have gone off to find me more information. Now get out of my way and cease to irritate me!"He snapped.
IC: [Arkrak]Arkrak blinked."Are you sure you're not related to Chronn?" he asked. "I mean, when you're in a bad mood you seem very similar to him."
IC: Nex"No, now shut up already and leave me alone."He was starting to get quite a distance away now.
IC: [Arkrak]"Well goodbye then Grandfather-Of-One-Man-Homicide-Squad," he said. "Have a nice day."As he watched the Turaga go, Arkrak turned to look at the office doors, frowning slightly. They didn't seem electrified anymore, meaning that something must have happened. He quickly walked up to it, grabbing the doorknob. There was no jolt of electricity slamming into him."Okay," he muttered. "This is strange."OOC: Was the door electrified before Zadron opened it?
OOC: No, Chronn electrified them just temporarily to get them away from his door.IC: NexHe stopped, walked up behind Arkrak, and attempted a mean (For a Turaga) kick to the Toa's backside."And learn some manners you detective scum!"
OOC: Karz hath no fury a grandfather scorned.IC: [Arkrak]The kick, which Arkrak had not expected, sent to crashing through the door of the offices, sending him flying into the room. Wincing in pain, he looked up at the Turaga."What was that for?" he asked, picking himself up.
IC: Nex"Attacking me, and disrupting my day."He snapped, clutching his staff."Now get out here and fight me like a man, unless you are just some pathetic worthless kid with over-sized ambitions of being a detective."
OOC: Shouldn't Chronn have noticed the noise generated by Arkrak crashing into the building?IC: [Arkrak]"I'm probably the same age as you," Arkrak remarked, getting up. "I just haven't retired yet."He grinned, readying his attack, which was technically not an attack."You are sad," he said, lowering the pitch of his voice. "You are very, very sad." OOC: Studies have shown that low pitches make people anxious and sad. This is what Arkrak is TRYING to do.
OOC: Revan and Jild from Ko-Wahi
IC(Jild)
Jild smiles as they enter the Onu-Koro Highway."Here's a cave," he says to Revan. "That Rahkshi has to be in here somewhere."-Mef Man
OOC: No, he's been expecting something like that. Now he isn't going to care about the small noise.IC: Nex"Indeed I am, sad that people like you are legally allowed to travel across this island."He twirled his staff in his hand. He himself had always spoken in a low pitch voice, so he didn't know what Arkrak was doing."Perhaps I was right, you are just a pathetic child."
IC: [Arkrak]"Probably same age as you remember?" Arkrak pointed out, still speaking in a low pitch. "And also, how old are you exactly?"
IC: Nex"My age is not important, but your lack or a brain might be. You should have a doctor examine your head."He replied calmly.
IC: [Arkrak]"Without a brain I would not have any motor functions," Arkrak shot back, still attempting to sadden the Turaga with his low-pitched voice. "And besides, I already have gotten a doctor to examine me after I decided to jump off a cliff and roll down Mt. Ihu."
IC: Nex"A pity, I think that the logical part of your brain is damaged. But yu seem far to hardheaded for that to happen..."Nex remarked.
IC: [Arkrak]Arkrak smiled."It is illogical to believe that I am unable to use logic," he said, still attempting to sadden the other Turaga, "for you have not provided evidence of my lack of logic. However, it is logical to believe that I am hard-headed, for why else am I still attempting to capture you?"OOC: I think I just turned Arkrak into Spock.
IC: Revan:"Mmm, a Rahkshi. Haven't seen them in awhile," Revan murmmered as he guided the Skakdi through the bowels of Onu-Wahi.
OOC: I'm clever, and I will put this into Incommodo. My specialties are insane and annoying characters.IC: IncommodoIncommodo, realising something didn't fit, teleported to Chronn's house, and, noticing a small crack, teleported in. And then, he saw the murderers."Hello again." He then turned to Zadron. "You're new. You weren't one of the ones trying to kill me last time." He took out his two blades, preparing to fight."CHRONN! THERE'RE SOME PEOPLE HERE TO SEE YOU!"
OOC: Pirok, the door was open.IC: [Arkrak]Arkrak slowly turned to face his colleague, who had teleported into the house. Then he turned to see another being, who had been standing there the whole time. He didn't really know if it was a member of Nex's agency or just a person who wanted to hire Chronn, so he turned to Nex."He a friend of yours?" he asked, pointing back at Zadron. "And Inc, you really need to develop some one-liners."
OOC:
It wasn't:OOC: Pirok, the door was open.
IC: Incommodo"Well, what did you expect me to say? 'There's somebody at the door'? They'd finished breaking and entering by that point!" Incommodo shouted back, before opening the door to Arkrak. "Feel free to come on in, and save your employer's life; After all, neither of us have even gotten our first paycheque."OOC: What, some had to mention the lack of pay at some point. In a flash, Zadron was inside, closing the door behind him.
OOC:
Nex kicked Arkrak into the room.IC: [Arkrak]"Good point," said Arkrak. "I really need funds to support my experimenting."The kick, which Arkrak had not expected, sent to crashing through the door of the offices, sending him flying into the room..
OOC:
Let's just pretend he hit the wall. Otherwise, there'll be a lot of post edits to take care of.IC: Incommodo"Yeah; And I owe someone a lot of money." Incommodo said.OOC:
Nex kicked Arkrak into the room. The kick, which Arkrak had not expected, sent to crashing through the door of the offices, sending him flying into the room..
IC: [Arkrak]"Really?" the Toa of Sonics asked. "How much?"
IC: Incommodo"Just a little bit. *Cough*thirtywidgets*Cough" Incommodo said. "*Cough*withinterest*Cough*"
IC: [Arkrak]Arkrak paused."How much percent and how long have you had this debt?" he asked.
IC: Incommodo"Ten percent." Incommodo said calmly. "And I've only owed him it a few centuries..."
IC: [Arkrak]"10% interest per annum or per month?" asked Arkrak.
IC: Incommodo"I can't really remember. I think it was annual, though. Luckily, I may never see him again, so I should be fine for the forseeable future." Incommodo hadn't realised that the murderers would probably think of him and Arkrak as completely insane, due to them having a calm conversation while they were about to kill them and their employer.
IC: [Arkrak]Ärkrak nodded, mentally doing some calculations. A few centuries was approximately two to three of them, so with ten percent per annum Incommodo would have raked up at least a thousands widgets in interest at maximum. Around eight to nine hundred at minimum."You really should have paid him off when you could," he remarked. "For if you meet him again you'll probably have to pay him more than a thousand widgets."
IC: Incommodo"Yeah... I'm just hoping he'll be a kind soul, and lower the interest." He then remembered who it was he was talking about. "On second thoughts, if he ever comes looking for me, I'm screwed."
IC: [Arkrak]"Don't worry. What could possibly go wrong?"
IC: IncommodoIncommodo seemed to see himself seeing his life whizz before his eyes. He then realised that there were a few inaccuracies, mainly being the fact he had little memory of his home, and figured out that he was seeing himself seeing someone else's life whizz before his eyes."A lot of things."
IC: [Arkrak]Arkrak shrugged."Don't worry," he said. "There's absolutely no chance something will go wrong."
IC: Incommodo"That's a bit of a stretch of the imagination, seeing as we're in a small hut, and everyone else, sans you and me of course, wants to kill us." Incommodo commented.
IC: [Arkrak]"Don't worry," said Arkrak. "Chronn doesn't want to kill us. Well, somewhat."
