IC: Nikarra"I'm glad you did, though."
IC: Dorian (Infernavika, Ga-Wahi)"Thank you."I stood up, not really feeling like continuing the conversation, and motioned towards the hole in the wall that I had created. All we had to do was jump through it, swim back to sure, and then from there...who knew.-Teezy
IC: Nikarra"After you."
IC: Dorian (Infernavika, Ga-Wahi)"No, you go ahead," I mumbled, propping myself up beside the hole and looking down. "I can live with risking imprisonment as long as you get out..."-Teezy
IC: NikarraNikarra nodded, then jumped through the hole, before taking a moment to look back and check Dorian was following her.
IC: Dorian (Infernavika, Ga-Wahi)I sighed and jumped out a second later, splashing into the water and sneaking up behind Nikarra before taking her in another hug; even if it felt a bit forced, it was nice to hold her again. She was a good girl at heart, and hot to boot. She believed in me, too. At least...I thought she did."I would've never left you in there," I said as we floated towards shore. "I came as soon as I heard."-Teezy
IC: Tawara (Briani's Hut)"Does anyone here know where this Kearrstrun guy would be?"
IC: CrystaliaAs Crystalia was walking across Ga-Koro, suddenly she saw a Toa of fire loom up ahead and begin to walk past her, he waved at her. She smiled to herself beneath her hood, this had only been to easy. It was Furon, the Toa she'd been sent to retrieve. Crystalia responded to his wave, by grabbing a throwing knife, and then throwing it straight at Furon's chest. She then drew both of her poisoned daggers, holding the blades upside down, so the blade pointed towards the ground; she pounced at Furon, slashing with both of her blades at his chest.IC: FuronFuron stepped out of the tavern. It had been a long day, and now it was time for him to find another cave to hide in. Or something along those lines. He marched off towards the beach, figuring he would just walk along the coastline until he found a place to stay. He passed a hooded Toa (Crystalia) by the beach and gave a friendly wave.
IC: FuronFuron quickly realized his mistake. He tried to use his Kanohi to block the knife coming at him, but instead created a telekinetic shockwave that knocked him backwards into the sand."I was only trying to be nice!" he groaned.
IC: CrystaliaCrystalia tutted as her attacks missed, and the Toa's Kanohi backfired sending him into the sand. "And I'm only doing my job." she said her voice dripping with poison much liker her blades. "I was commanded to bring you back to my employers alive, and that's what I intend to do." she said. She then activated her Kanohi and then vanished from sight, becoming completely invisible. She then jumped off of the lily-pad they had been on and landed in the sand near Furon, which created a small cloud of sand. She then began running at him, the only sign of her was the small tufts of sand her feet threw into the air as she ran. She ran in a zig-zag patter so it wasn't easy to tell where she was, or where to hit her, and then she leaped at Furon, trying to land a kick to his mask, and then stab one of her daggers into his shoulder.
IC: Furon"Oh Karz!"Needless to say, the moving sand frightened Furon; he had never known about this type of Kanohi. He scrambled backwards, causing the kick to land on his stomach and the blade to just barely nick his arm. His lungs nearly collapsed, expelling most of the air in them, along with an involuntary gush of fire from his lips.
IC: CrystaliaHer kick only connected with his stomach, because he moved, but a bit of fire escaped from his mouth, singing her cloak and her armor slightly. She grunted and landed in the sand away from him. She then grabbed moved forward again, slashing at him with her blades, the small nick on his shoulder wasn't enough poison to knock him out yet.
IC: FuronA small stream of blood trickled from the corner of Furon's mouth. He started absorbing heat from the air around him, hoping that it would heal whatever was bleeding inside him. The blades cut into his shoulder and stomach. Well, normal heat energy wasn't going to be enough, clearly. He stood to his full height, but almost collapsed. The poison was taking hold, and fast. Then he realized Crystalia's cape was burning. With a deep breath, he absorbed the flames and the blood stopped trickling. He stumbled forward and shot a fireball at Crystalia's feet that exploded the instant it hit the sand.
IC: CrystaliaCrystalia smiled when her blades hit, her poison flowing into Furon's body, he wouldn't be able to last very long now. She watched as he almost collapsed already, the poison was working, and a small stream of blood was leaking out of his mouth. Suddenly Furon unleashed a blast of fire at Crystalia's feet, somehow seeing where she was. The fire smashed into her feet, and exploded in the sand, the flames burning her feet badly, and signing her armor. Crystalia bit back the pain, and then her hand shot forward and she unleashed a blast of magnetism straight at Furon's chest.
IC: FuronFuron flew backwards again, this time landing on another lily pad. Reflexively, his hands lit up, setting fire to the aquatic plant."Ohkarzohkarzohkarzohkarz."He got up to his knees as the fire spread around him.
IC: CrystaliaCrystalia watched as Furon was blasted backwards from her attack. Setting fire to a lily-pad as he got to his feet. She then used her magnetic power on her own armor and lifted her self into the air, floating towards Furon, she began to affect his armor as well, making it so his feet would probably not move because they were magnetically held in place. She then floated next to him, above the flames, and attempted to slash his other shoulder.
IC: FuronBlood splattered across the lily pad as another wound opened up on Furon's body. With one last push, he absorbed all of the flames around him and sent them outward in the form of a spherical wave. Then, he shuddered and collapsed.
IC: CrystaliaCrystalia's blade connected with Furon's shoulder, more poison pumping into his veins. Suddenly Furon unleashed a massive wave of flame, it connected with Crystalia's chest and sent her flying backwards, the flames burning her armor and flesh underneath. She fell into the water next to the burnt lily-pad and began to sink for a moment, the water washing over her burns and cooling them but also putting out the flames. She swam to the surface, her cloak now badly burned but still mostly intact. She climbed onto the lily-pad, her armor smoking. She grinned and then used her powers to magnetically lift the knocked out Furon into the air. She then made herself invisible once again and began to set off across the beach, Furon slowly floating behind her. OOC: Crystalia and Furon to Ta-Wahi
OOC: Tyler, mind me asking how Dorian found the Infernavika when she's in a hidden cove? And another detail, though this is a fairly minor one: she's not a behemoth. She's a sleek ship, of middling size, able to pack a punch, but certainly not qualifying the word 'behemoth'.IC (Lohkar)"S'cuse me," said Lohkar casually, hanging from his Grapnel Gun's cable behind Dorian and Nikarra. "Not interruptin', am I?"He dropped to the ground, the cable reeling in in a matter of moments, and reholstered the tool on his back."Now, I don't s'pose you're very happy with me," he said, apology in his voice, "but know this: I'm a man who knows where 'is widget pouch is, if ya take my meanin'. I never meant Nikarra any harm; I was bein' paid. In fact, I did 'er a favour bringin' 'er here - cos if she'd stayed with my employer much longer she'd 'ave been in a much worse state than she is now."The Lesterin's eyes glinted."Wouldn't ya like ta know who's really out ta get your bonny lass here?" he asked Dorian. "Don't ya want ta know who wants you out o' the way? Cos I can help you find 'em..."
Kale Ironshaper- Ga-koroIC: Kale turned and led the way to the Darksea inn. Once they arrived, he opened the door for the two and called to Dekal."Look who I found wandering around the place."
IC: [Naona]"They were Mark Bearers. I have no idea what they were up to though."
IC: Rynekk Simul - Darksea Inn"Mark bearers... you mean, like Tillian and Emotia? They're the ones with those freaky, glowing tattoos, right?"-Void
IC: [Naona]"Yes."
OOC: My mistake; I'd assumed she was on the beach, near Perkahn and Tillian's house. The behemoth thing, however, was mainly because of the bulk the armor would have added; not in any real sense of largeness or obesity, but rather because of the extra mass afforded to it by the metal.IC: Dorian (Infernavika, Ga-Wahi)"There are a lot of people after me," I said, drawing my own pistol from its holster and leveling it at Lohkar's heart. "One more hardly affects me. I'm a great hider."IC: Billetes (The Crucible, Ga-Wahi)The Vortixx roared out in pain as a roof tile hit him; spinning around, Billetes could see a small figure, crouched down on the roof, and he drew his gun and advanced outside of the hall, aiming his gun and firing at where the Onu-Matoran was hiding.-Teezy
IC: Lure. Exit.Sulov turned and fled across the roof as soon as the vortixx caught sight of him. The matoran didn't have a microsecond to lose. Bullets struck the shake tiling where he'd been seconds before and sent wooden shrapnel flying to his sprinting figure. The exile only sought to lure the madman from the populated area for now. And so he headed in the direction of the Crucible's exit at the other end of the hall. If Sulov succeeded in causing the vortixx to follow him, then they would both be out of the hall's premises and away from Ga-Koro in his territory. All he had to do for now was outrun the gunman's aim.
IC: ZealokanThe Kineticist, stubborn as he was, held up a hand and said 'I'd like to respectfully disagree, on the basis on this fact,' He suddenly jumped up and pulled out a Reverse Blade, pointing it at Miha. 'Your eyes have changed colour. Just like Payiges when her darker side takes over. Who are you? And what's that thing on Miha's arm?' He remembered seeing something similar to the Mark on the shoulder of that girl they passed on the way into Ga-Koro.IC:Miha'We're a team, Little One.' Oh yeah. Because, you know, real teammates would know that I hate being called 'Little One.' Miha thought, as she attempted to come up with a reply that would satisfy Zealokan and Havon's curiosities, but not actually tell them all that much. Well, it's not untrue. Iris replied to Miha, Iris's consciousness walking out of the darkness of Miha's Brain. Look, just let me take over. The Mental projection of Iris raised it's hands. I won't attack them. I'm on your side. I'll tell them what you want them to know, and then break off ties with them, just like you planned. Iris waited for Miha to give her answer. Miha sighed, then spoke up. Fine... As she spoke, she let go of the iron vice she had held on her consciousness, allowing Iris to control her.Outwardly the Hau Karda might notice that Miha's Mark had just started glowing, and that her eyes were also glowing. "While it might be that if something is wrong with me, it is your problem also, due to us being a team." Iris!Miha replied to Havon and Zealokan. "It does not mean that it is your problem if something is wrong with my family. This is a personal problem that I'm having with my family, and I would appreciate it if you guys would butt out."
IC, Perkahn:(Ga-Koro)The Toa of Iron arrived at Ga-Koro, recited his hamburger eating champion story to the Marines at the front gate. It wasn't difficult finding a way to the nearest inn from there. It was a small establishment, small and secluded, and thus it was unlikely for anyone undesirable to find it easily. It wasn't shady, but it was small, dark, and smoky. It attracted the type of people that would prefer to stay hidden from society, but not because of something wrong that they did, but rather because they were that particular type of people that hated the guts of the idea that someone might recognize them because then they felt terrible at stealth. He got a room, where we went almost immediately. It was a small one, just a bed, a desk with drawers, and a wardrobe. After setting his stuff down and having a much needed change of clothes, the Toa placed a map of Mata Nui on the desk and took a pencil. He marked Ga-Koro, the approximate location of Casa Juturna, the beach where they found Tank. This told him nothing. Here were three Xs in Ga-Wahi, nothing more, nothing less, and they hardly helped him. Every geometrical figure that the three could form stayed in the boundaries of Ga-Wahi, and the marks weren't that far from each other either. What was he missing? Why couldn't he have asked Tillian, while he was at his place, where Dorian was lately sighted? He could only hope that his plot to lure Dorian out would work. "Connecting the dots" was not working. There weren't enough dots that he knew of, literally. The unsuspecting Toa had no idea he was being betrayed that very moment.
IC: Emotia - Casa Juturna, Ga-Wahi -Emotia just let Tillian hold her, she seemed to be in almost a sort of daze, she was still trying to grip the whole situation. The whole timer on her arm had thrown her through a loop, she knew that the marks were suspose to eventually drive them mad and kill them....but she hadn't expected a freaking timer. She tried to look away, but her eyes kept coming back to the timer. "I...I really don't want to die..." She said in a hoarse whisper.
IC: The DogIshi shook his head slightly as the toa threatened him. "There's really nothing you could do to pull information out of my skull," he retorted, but fell back in line as the two headed around the village in the morning light. funny how life works. Here I am back where I started: trading retorts with this brakas. Maybe the wisdom in unity is attempting to reason with my lack of duty. He glanced upwards, eye taking in the inquisitor's fine features like one might admire a particular painting before purchase. his orange orb gleamed with prospect as he thought of Xern. Maybe I could get a bonus out of this after all. clearing his throat with us subtle cough, ishi ventured a crafted question. "Perhaps we are back where we started: drawn together by a common purpose. Whaddya say we call this even and attempt to get along for once. I scratch your back you buy me ramen sir of thing?"His fingers tended slightly. Now was the crucial moment. Would they cooperate, or explode like the receipts?
IC (Lohkar)"Suit yourself," said Lohkar, raising his hands. He smiled at Dorian. "But this isn't a game, Dorian. You can't hide forever. D'you really want ta spend your life like this, shunned by society? An' they'll find you eventually, mate, mark my words..."
IC: Lasinia"Any fives?"
IC (Cael)Cael rolled her eyes, hiding a smile as Joske improvised an outfit out of the clothes she had given him. She would easily admit that she preferred practicality over style, but Joske was clearly the opposite. A few rips and folds later, she could hardly recognize the clothes he was wearing. The Toa of Fire had transformed the shirt into a tunic, which he wore with his sarong that he had fashioned out of a linen robe. Although his outfit was clearly thrown together, he somehow managed to make it look good.Amazing what you could pull off with a little bit of confidence."Sorry, but I have my own taste on outerwear. Thanks for the clothes though." Joske winked, then walked back through into the house. Cael followed behind, closing the door behind her. By now, Joske was already heading towards the front door. Grabbing the handle, he opened the door and stepped outside. "And I think you're right; the Marines are probably the best chance to recover myyyyyaaahHHHHHIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEELLLLLLP!"It almost seemed to happen in slow motion. Joske tripped on something as he exited the house- though Cael couldn't imagine what he would trip on. The Toa of Fire threw his hands out trying to catch the door frame, which failed; his leg went sideways as he tried to counterbalance - that too failed. With a loud splat, Joske faceplanted on the damp seaweed sidewalk, his body looking as though it belonged to some sort of contortion artist. Cael looked out from the front door, a muddle of emotions playing across her face as she watched the Toa collapse in the midst of a pile of his own golden and red armour. Worry, confusion, and pity were chief among them, but the most prominent was, to her slight shame, amusement. She recalled those early days, so long ago, when she too had felt so uncomfortable in her own body, tripping over everything and unable to coordinate even the smallest of movements. At the time, it had seemed unbearable, but now, seeing Joske go through the same things she had, it seemed almost hilarious. To think that every Toa on the island had once gone through this: tripping, fumbling, awkwardly learning how to use their own bodies. Joske looked up at that moment, his mask spattered with bits of plant matter, and immediately seemed to take Cael's expression for amusement at his expense. The pity mixed in probably made it seem worse: Joske was the type of person who hated for anyone to feel sorry for him."NOT FUNNY!" he growled, snatching his armour up. Cael's smile faded instantly, replaced by an embarrassed blush. The Toa of Fire stepped back inside and slammed the door behind him, leaving the Toa of Water outside.Cael rubbed her temples, annoyed with herself again for slipping. She kept forgetting that she was Joske's healer, instead trying to be his friend. That isn't to say she didn't want to be his friend; she liked him. But every time she fell out of her healer persona, she seemed to make it harder for him. From burdening him with facts and advice to smiling at his embarrassment, she felt like a fool every time she forgot what her relationship with Joske was. You're a healer; you're here to take care of him. You can't help him if you keep forgetting that's what you're doing. The healer sighed. All this needless angst was getting on her nerves. Why couldn't she just help Joske and be done with it? Why did she have to feel the need to try and relate to him, to laugh and talk with him? It made everything so difficult, trying to operate outside of the healer-patient relationship. But at the same time, there was nothing she wanted more than to be his friend, no matter how many times she ended up feeling dumb. She had been lonely; Joske had given her a taste of what it was like to have a friend, to not always be just 'the doctor.'The door opened suddenly, and Joske stepped out, clad once again in his shining red and gold armour. "Let's go." he muttered, and stalked off down the street, heading towards the Ga-Koro Marine Headquarters. He obviously wasn't injured, but his pride had taken a hit, no thanks to Cael, so the trip was made in silence. It couldn't have taken long to cross town to Marine Headquarters, but it felt like it took forever. Finally, the pair walked up to the Headquarters. They entered, and found themselves in a small, sparsely decorated lobby of sorts, a place Cael had gotten to know quite well over her years spent healing in Ga-Koro. Joske immediately walked up to the front desk, behind which a Ga-Matoran sat, writing on a tablet. "I'm looking for Toa Agni," the Toa of Fire said. "Would he be around?"
IC: Dorian (Beach, Ga-Wahi)"An intriguing question, when posted by a kidnapper and a plunderer," I replied quietly, my gun never wavering and my eyes never softening. "But I think I'll be fine. I can blend in well with a crowd, and when the crowd dissipates, I find another one. That's just what I do."-Teezy
IC (Lohkar)"Thing is, mate," Lohkar replied, "it's not that easy. I know what they're like. They won't rest until every Matoran on this island's watchin' for your face. Soon there may not be a crowd for ya ta blend into."
IC: Dorian (Ga-Wahi)"Have we met? Because I live on Mata Nui. If a Koro isn't assaulted every other day, then its people are doing something wrong. I don't have a lot to worry about."-Teezy
IC (Lohkar)"Suit yourself," Lohkar replied. He turned, ignoring the gun at his chest, and walked over to the side of his ship."I s'pose I'll have ta forgive the damage to me ship," he said, inspecting the large hole that Dorian had made. "Then again," he continued, "she needs a little touchin' up. Raknar didn't exactly take the best o' care with 'er...an' I'm not too sure about this armour, either..."
IC: LiaraLiara looked at the Matoran for a long moment, her eyes nigh on unreadable. Finally, she nodded. "Unfortunately, I don't have much of a choice. I don't have enough time to do this the hard way."
IC-Grochi:Unnoticed by the others, Grochi had come to check upon the ship...After all, he did like the ship, having spent so much time on it...that, and he was also retreiving his stuff. However, he had noticed Lohkar and Dorian talking, and he didn't like what he heard. Not giving himself away, he quickly used his Kualsi, and after a few quick teleports was back over in Ga-Koro, right at the inn Perkahn was at, and quickly moving up to the Toa of Iron's room, banging hard upon the door.
IC, Perkahn:(Inn, Ga-Koro)Perkahn was peering over his map again, thinking of what Xs could be added to the plan; when he heard the door being slammed with the force of a hundred fists. Pretty much thoughtlessly, he jumped towards the entrance and unlocked the door, revealing Grochi just behind it."Grochi? What is it?"
IC-Grochi:However, as soon as Perkahn had given Grochi room enough to see, he had teleported himself over to the centre of the room, directing Perkahn to close the door."Well, Perkahn," he said calmly, "We might just have a bit of a problem on our hands."
