IC, Perkahn:(Ga-Koro Inn)Perkahn closed the door and locked it. "Wait, don't tell me."His back laid against the door, he scratched his forehead, thinking deeply and carefully. There was the matter that had been nagging him these two days, and something, maybe the fact that it was Grochi, not anyone from the crew, that came to him to tell of a problem, made him think that the problem on hand was exactly what he suspected it to be."Lohkar. The problem's Lohkar, right? Lohkar sold us out, am I right?"

IC-Grochi:"Let's just say you can expect some fire and blood in the future," Grochi said. "I'd stopped by to grab my items, turned out that Toa of Iron, Danior, or whatever his name is, he was there." Grochi shrugged."Now that that is out of the way," Grochi said, sitting down in a chair that was situated near him, "We should work on a plan of action, for how we will deal with this."

OOC: to explain to anyone how Perkahn figured it out, because Grochi didn't bother asking how he knew it: Perkahn's wanted as well, after all. He couldn't seriously have expected allies who are in this for the gold to be trustworthy.IC, Perkahn:(Ga-Koro Inn)Perkahn, pacing around the room, looked to be thinking the hardest thoughts in his life yet. He had two allies he could trust in this situation - he had Grochi, and he had Tillian. However, involving Tillian in this would do no good - he had his own worries to take care of. Him and Grochi were alone, against Dorian... and now Lohkar, and all who are even vaguely associated with them.He needed to remain calm. Perfectly calm."Lohkar's in this for the money. He's not gonna get a copper out of Dorian for selling us out, because Dorian, to my knowledge, has none. A man running from the defense forces of every Koro cannot possibly expect to buy off a sellsword company, because that's apparently Lohkar's new business angle."He scratched his chin, looking outside the window."However, we have to remember that Lohkar is the single most unpredictable creature in the Endless Ocean. He'll do it for free if he thinks it worthwhile, like he agreed to hunt Dorian under little to no promise of a reward. We can't return to the Infernavika, it's too risky."The Toa of Iron's fingers played an imaginary electric piano on his desk for a second, while he thought."I will stand with you as well, Perkahn. Mata Nui knows doing some good would be a change of pace.""I'm with you too, Perkahn. Maybe, once this is all over, I'll be able to come out of hiding from the Guard."Freedom. That's the one thing he can promise those who follow that Lohkar cannot. The freedom to stop running, and all they had to surrender was their pride and egocentricism. He promised them the choice to never bow and scrape the dirt, nor to fall victim to a boulder rolling downhill at high speed towards them.But he could only push them to fight Lohkar rather than him if he was the victim, the defender. They had to fight Lohkar on Perkahn's own ground, where Lohkar's lines, demoralized and unable to choose between friendship and loyalty, would waver. And crack."Let's start from the beginning. What allies, friends, etcetera, do we have?"

IC-Grochi:Grochi shrugged."There's always my brothers, if you can convince them to help," Grochi said. "And if they're still alive. After that, there's the relatively dragon-like being who we had with us-he's still here in Ga-Wahi, somewhere. We can probably convince him to help."

IC: Mimira, Infernavika, Ga-Wahi -Mimira waited for her turn eagerly. "I love Go Ruki! I'm good at this game!"

IC, Perkahn:(Ga-Koro)"You're forgetting one very important, also just a little bit dragon-like, being. Also probably somewhere in Ga-Wahi still."Perkahn, obviously amused by Grochi's curiosity - evident in the raised eyebrow act that then happened - smiled. "Raknar."

IC-Grochi:Grochi smiled slightly after that."I'll let you recruit him," Grochi said. "I know that he would include some exorbitant fee, were I to recruit him-like free ale for life, courtesy of me."

IC: Airu (Ga-Koro)Before Perkahn or Grochi could continue their conversation further, there was a quiet knock on the door, then a persistent jiggling of the doorknob. Silence. More silence. The two ex-pirates shared silent glances of apprehension and moved towards the door just as--"FILTHY SANDRAKER."The door received a monstrously hard kick, shattering the lock into pieces; the door slid open, and in the doorway stood an attractive young Toa in Ga-Koro Marine garb, wearing a stoic look on her face."Sergeant Airu Sin'Clair, sirs," she said, in a soft yet authoritarian voice. "Part of the Ga-Koro Marine Criminial Analysis Task Force, assigned to the assassin Doran Shaddix and assigned by Lieutenant Colonel Juturna to help you in your mission through any measures deemed necessary."-Teezy

IC, Perkahn:(Ga-Koro)Perkahn looked taken aback for a second, but quickly regained his composure. "Perkahn Highwind. Used to be Colonel of the Ta-Koro Guard. Fell on some rough spots, lost that position. Now just so you know, that door wasn't exactly personally ours."The Toa of Iron took a glance at his map and rested his back against the far wall, crossing his arms on his chest. Sin'Clair certainly seemed a capable operative - was good to have her helping them in this rather awkward military situation they were in. With Lohkar, Dorian, and whoever else was involved here."Either way, glad to see the Lieutenant Colonel's sending help. Right now is the exact moment we may have lost most of the help we had before."

IC-Grochi:"My name is Grochi," the Toa of Plasma said. "If I didn't have standing warrants in Ga-Koro for attempted murder, among other things, I would give you my last name, but...nah."

IC: Tillian (Casa Juturna, Ga-Wahi)"I'm not going to let anything happened to you, Emotia," whispered the new husand dutifully. "I promise. You're going to be safe."IC: Billetes (The Crucible, Ga-Wahi)The madman did as expected, following Sulov's tracks with the grace and primal mimicry of a hunter and firing off a shot whenever he had anything more than a momentary glimpse of a sight on the Onu-Matoran that would bring him down.-Teezy

IC: Emotia - Casa Jurtuna, Ga-Wahi -Emotia nodded, not saying anything she rested her head on his shoulder, after a moment she found the will to speak. "It's just...haunting to see a timer on your arm that's basically telling you how much time you have left. I'm sure that..." She paused for a moment, trying not to choke up. "I'm sure it will be alright..." She didn't sound completely convinced of her own words, however. But she was trying to be positive.

IC: Tillian (Casa Juturna, Ga-Wahi)"Of course everything will be alright," he replied, lifting Emotia up into the air and carrying her upstairs. "You really think I'd let anything happen to you?"-Teezy

IC: Sulov leaped from the hall's roof as bullets flew by. He rolled into contact with the ground and popped out of the motion sprinting again. This time, he was turning towards the trees to the right of the Crucible.Here was the tricky part. Sulov had to reach the forest in such a way that there was no time to get an accurate shot on him, but that he was spotted all the same. And their speeds had to come close in order that this may occur. The matoran was sprinting and had a running start on the vortixx, who still had to pass through the building he had just leaped from; he clearly had several advantages over the enemy. But the vortixx could achieve a higher sprinting speed without such complex armor and coat as well as short legs. So Sulov had no fear that he could continue to lure the gunman.What he did feel a need to be concerned about was the possibility of traps. He had once heard of criminals who used a mask of insanity to cover a calculating mind and plans for many eventualities, and even the mentally ill could set their own ambushes. But this area was busy, and having passed through it not hours before without a scratch, Sulov estimated the chances of the vortixx having prepared for this situation via ambushes or murderous contraptions were slim. He had excellent reflexes and sharpened senses that could guard him against the more viable basic ones. And even if he died trying to defeat the enemy, his sacrifice would warn warriors following in his footsteps of what danger had befallen him and succeeded in stopping the gunman from attacking Ga-Koro.Hence he sped forth. There was not a second to lose.

IC: Gunner - InfernavikaGrumbling, I slid over my five to Lasinia, "How the Karz do you know all these things?"Glancing over at Mimira, I handed her my last three cards, "Here kiddo, knock yourself out. I'm gonna check on the prisoner."With that said and done, I headed down to the brig, where, to my surprise, I found a giant hole in the side of the Mark Bearer's cell. Oh bloody karz...I didn't waste any time fumbling for a key, instead, I merely used the air to tear the prison door from its hinges, before marching in, straight for the hole."Oh come on!" I practically shouted, when I saw Nikarra, Lohkar, and another Mark Bearer hanging off of the side of the ship.IC: Rynekk Simul - Darksea Inn"Oh. I... think I understand."The Toa paused, with a contemplative look on his face."No, actually, I'm not sure if I do."-Void

IC (Lohkar)Lohkar looked around from where he'd been examining the damage to see Gunner's head poking out of the hole."Ah, Gunner," he said. "Glad ya could make it. Dorian's here, if you're interested."In a loud stage whisper, he added:"I think he's got a gun..."

IC: Dorian (Fjord, Ga-Wahi)"Pleasure to meet you," I said with a cheerful wave.-Teezy

IC: Gunner - InfernavikaI was careful not to roll my eyes at Lohkar, but instead, waved back to Dorian, "Good to meet you too. Dorian, right? I've heard quite a bit about you..."-Void

IC: Dorian (Fjord, Ga-Wahi)"Oh, I'd bet!" I agreed with a light chuckle and raised eyebrows. "Any specifics? I've got plenty of time..."-Teezy

IC: Lasinia"Do you know how to play Mimi?"IC: [Naona]"Neither do I."

IC: Emotia - Casa Jurtuna, Ga-Wahi -Emotia smiled at Tillian as he lifted her up and carried her. "Of course you wouldn't, Mata Nui knows you've been through karz and back to keep me safe..." She said, thinking about the time she'd been kidnapped by the Crimson Nova, not the most pleasant experience. IC: Mimira - Infernavika, Ga-Wahi -"Yep! Go ahead and ask me for a card!" Mimira said, knowing it was still Lasinia's turn.

IC: Tillian (Casa Juturna, Ga-Wahi)"Mm. You bet he does," Tillian growled as he kissed Emotia softly and sighed contentedly. "You know, it's weird...going from calling you my girlfriend to my fiancee to my wife...next thing you know, you'll be my deity and then I'll be out of titles for you."IC: Billetes (The Crucible, Ga-Wahi)Cut him off.The mad crusader moved quickly and athletically to the right, aiming to flank Sulov as he bolted for the forest. After about a third of an hour of continuous sprinting, he had the Onu-Matoran: at the forest's edge, Billetes popped out of nowhere and began to fire off rounds at the oncoming Ussalrymatoran.-Teezy

IC: Emotia - Casa Jurtuna, Ga-Wahi -Emotia giggled from the kiss. "Ditto, I went from boyfriend to fiancee and now husband. But it's a good kind of weird don't you think?" She said with a grin.

OOC: NO, IT'S NOT TILLIANIC: Tillian (Casa Juturna, Ga-Wahi)"Of course it is," replied the starstruck young newlywed. "Best kind of weird there can be."-Teezy

IC: Emotia - Casa Jurtuna, Ga-Wahi -Emotia sighed happily, for the moment she felt rather calm, not even thinking about her mark or the timer to her doom. Of course, being calm wasn't gonna make the timer slow down any...but at that moment she didn't care. "Can't remember the last time we had a moment together without something crazy happening."

IC: Tillian (Casa Juturna, Ga-Wahi)"Does the proposal count?"-Teezy

IC: Emotia - Casa Jurtuna, Ga-Wahi -Emotia bit her lip before she responded. "What makes you ask that?"

IC: Tillian (Casa Juturna, Ga-Wahi)Tillian looked slightly confused; his eyes, now a startling blue once again thanks to the disappearance of his Mark, clouded up as he examined Emotia."I meant that was the last time we had a moment like this. The two of us. Nothing crazy. What do--" he said before cutting off suddenly, his eyes widening in epiphany. "Emotia...you know you're more important to me than anything in the world. I don't regret anything."-Teezy

IC: Lasinia"Any ones?"

IC: Emotia - Casa Jurtuna, Ga-Wahi -"Oh! Right...." Emotia said, blushing as she realized she'd misunderstood, she cursed herself mentally for not thinking clearly. "But yes, that was the last time. And, I don't regret anything either. I just hope the craziness leaves us be for a while, I'm not sure how much more I can handle. I mean at this rate the entire island could crack in half and it wouldn't even surprise me."

IC: Tillian (Casa Juturna, Ga-Wahi)"Well, now look what you've done," laughed the Toa of Gravity as he lifted Emotia on top of him and rested her forehead against his. "You jinxed us."-Teezy

IC: Mimira - Infernavika, Ga-Wahi"Nope! Go Ruki!" Mimira waited for Lasinia to pick up her card. "Got any six?" IC: Emotia - Casa Jurtuna, Ga-Wahi -Emotia giggled. "Opps." As she looked at Tillian with her yellow eyes, blinking innocently. They flickered dark green a few times.

IC: Tillian (Casa Juturna, Ga-Wahi)Tillian wiggled one of his arms out from under Emotia and brushed her cheek as her eyes flickered persistently."I love you..."-Teezy

IC: Emotia - Casa Jurtuna, Ga-Wahi "I love you more...watch me prove it...." Emotia then kissed Tillian deeply....Now my friends, it is time for what we call a convenient timeskip, oh look, there are pretty fireworks in the sky! Watch as they majestically explode in the heavens, like a bunch of various colored Toa going super nova...Anyway...oh look, an hour has passed...huh...

IC: Tillian (Casa Juturna, Ga-Wahi)"Um...wow."-Teezy

IC: Even Sulov's reflexes could do nothing to help him in this case. While he had known the vortixx to be coming thanks to the sound he produced moving about, the matoran simply didn't have the speed to change course. He could only keep his saperka up for shielding.The exile was hit by a shock to his blade before he felt the shot's cracking report. He didn't need to glance down to guess that a bullet had slammed into his defenses. Only wounds being a jarred arm and a sizable dent in its protosteel, the shot had been largely nullified. Sulov was little worse off than before as far as his physical condition went.But his most powerful defense against the pistol had been revealed. To give the vortixx any time to figure out what had happened to the shot that hadn't hit the trees behind him was suicide. His hand was forced; he had to end this fight with as much haste as possible. This eventuality was one Sulov had prepared for, but it was still among the worst. He was caught in open ground and with his ace in the hole played. He had to take every precaution and gain every advantage possible.The exile's sprint shifted until his body made a rough 90-degree angle to effectively halve his height, the move making him a smaller target than shorter specimens of his kind. His run zigzagged for unpredictability. His saperka and prosthetic moved to protect the most exposed and vital areas of his head and back. All these measures in conjunction with his top sprinting speed caused Sulov to become an extremely difficult target in his charge towards the vortixx.Wait for reload, He planned. Throw or rahkstaff.

IC: Emotia - Casa Jurtuna, Ga-Wahi Emotia laughed, her eyes glowing green. "I told you I could prove it."

IC: Tillian (Casa Juturna, Ga-Wahi)"I'm pretty sure it's something we'll never agree on," laughed Tillian, squeezing Emotia and holding her by the abdomen gingerly. "I can't believe it's almost over..."-Teezy

IC: Emotia - Casa Jurtuna, Ga-Wahi -"Me neither..." Emoita said, her laughing slowly dying down. She squeezed Tillian back, taking care not to use her mark given strength and crush him. She rested her head on his chest, sighing.

IC: Tillian (Casa Juturna, Ga-Wahi)Tillian was quiet for a second, just letting Emotia's head rise and fall in tune with his breathing patterns. He simply held her, stroking the side of her face and picturing a lifetime of moments like this, where he could just hold her and kiss her and tell her that she meant everything in the world to him and more, and as he did, he purred in content to himself."To be honest...the only thing that's gotten me through the last few months is knowing I get to spend the rest of my life with you," he finally mumbled.-Teezy
