"Yeah. I need to go there." Kaithas paused. "If you will wait for me to heal and take me there later, I'll ride with you guys for a couple of jobs for no pay. And nothing illegal, of course." Kaithas grinned. "It shouldn't take long for healing, as it's mostly just the poison."
IC: SlannakSlannak looked up. "Sure, I'll ask the boss. We're just about at the hospital."
IC, Perkahn:(Ga-Koro, Inn)"This ain't your average field trip, boy," Perkahn raised an eyebrow while saying this to Tarcvor. This kid seemed to have spirit, but what they really needed as well was sense. Spirit would help against Makuta, or a hive of infected Rahi, spirit would even help to bring down a dark Toa in evil's service or two, but only sense would defeat Dorian, an intelligent opponent. "Dorian's survived combats, clashes and just downright being stuck between some of the strongest people on this island. You still up for it?"While at this, he shot Grochi a glance in reply to his statement that essentially said, "Do it."
"Good. This leg hurts." Kaithas walked into the hospital.OOC: Who's gonna do the receptionist? Also, the irony in this is I'm almost immune to yellow jackets stings IRL, because I've been stung so much.
OOC: We can just make a receptionist. Same goes for waiters in bars, etc. You control the receptionist though, because I have no idea how hospitals work.
IC: SlannakSlannak helped Kaithas through the doors to the hospital. "Hello? My friend here is hurt."
IC: The receptionist, a Ga-Matoran looked over at Kaithas and Slannak. "What's wrong with you?" Kaithas responded: "Kofo-Jaga sting. In my leg." The receptionist called for a stretcher. "Take him back to the cleansing room." She said. Looking back at Kaithas, she said: "You're lucky you're in Ga-Koro. We are very good at removing poison." Kaithas hobbled over to the stretcher. "I'll be back as fast-speed as possible." Kaithas got on it, obviously relieved to be off his leg. Kaithas is carried away. "He should be back soon. What he needs is an antidote and some sleep. As long as he has a place to stay, he can come back in ten minutes most likely."
IC: Reordin (Ga-Koro)Morning came soon enough for the two Matoran, and after a quick breakfast, Reordin hurried Aurax - who, to his credit, was not as groggy as the lieutenant had expected him to be - out the door of the inn. The two got to know each other, discussed Kolhii, experiences back home, their occupations...he wasn't that bad of a guy, Reordin supposed. Little naive, a little easy to gain as a follower...but a good guy nonetheless. He was about to ask his Cy-Matoran companion just who they were looking for when he saw him: it was one of those cliche moments where time slows and your destiny hits you all at once, and as the Ko-Matoran's eyes met those of Stannis, standing with a Matoran of Fire and a Matoran of Air by one of the side stands of the marketplace, he got the strangest prickle down his chest that, for better or for worse, this Matoran would lead him to his destiny."Guess that's the guy, then," the Sanctum Guardsman said with a shrug as the two Matoran moved towards the group.-Teezy
IC, Aurax: Aurax waved at Stannis. "Stannis!" he called. He and Reordin hurried over to the Wanderer, who was standing with Lepridan and a Matoran of Fire Aurax didn't recognize. Probably one of the other six, Aurax thought. "Stannis, this is Reordin; Reordin, this is Stannis, the Wanderer."
Ic: "Reordin. Good to meet you at last," Stannis said stoically as he bowed his head slightly in acknowledgement of the new man. "I am surprised that you were also in Ga-Koro." That much was very true; finding two of the other three in one village morning was very lucky, though he had doubts they would find Sulov there, too; that would just be too lucky."Good work, Aurax. Reordin, this is Oreius, this is Lepidran, and as Aurax said, I am Stannis, though you have only heard of me as the Wanderer until now. It seems we have wandered together well enough," he joked drily.
IC: Ten minutes had passed. Kaithas stumbled out into the entry hall, a bandage on his leg. "They gave me a shot of antivenom and I think it's already working. Besides, I managed to absord one of the nurse's plants-" an empty pot came hurling out of the door, which Kaithas barely dodged. "-and I managed to make a crutch, so I don't need support."
IC: SlannakSlannak burst out laughing, then made a run for the door. "Come on, quick."
IC: Kaithas ran after her and shut the door just as 3 more pots hit it. "I might of absorbed more than one..." Kaithas scratched the back of his head and started laughing. "Come on, we better get someplace safe before their aim gets better."
IC: Slannak"My team has a boat. Come on." Slannak headed towards the docks.
IC: Kaithas followed her, trying to keep an eye out for any more pots. "I don't always get kicked out of towns, you know. Sometimes I get lost."
IC, Aurax: Aurax nodded to Oreius. "Hello, I'm Aurax," he said to the Ta-Matoran before turning back to Stannis. "Luckily for us, Stannis, Reordin says he knows who Sulov is, so it'll be a little easier to find him. Though I doubt he'll be in this village."
IC: Reordin (Market, Ga-Koro)Seems genuine enough. At least tries to have a sense of humor. A little flat, but I'll wait to withhold further judgement until I see his leadership style."Yeah, I know Sulov. Last saw him at the Hive assault in Le-Wahi. Just days ago."-Teezy
IC: SlannakSlannak got near the ship and saw Yick sitting on the top deck. She called out to him "Hey! Could you set up the sails!? We may or not have committed several acts of vandalism!"IC: YickYick sighed and headed over to the sails. "Typical." he grumbled.
IC: "But when I get lost, it's for a looooooong time. Some Jungle Toa I am. Lousy direction sense..." Kaithas muttered. "Slannak, are these the friends you spoke of?"
IC: SlannakSlannak reached the boat with Kaithas, and turned to face him. "Yeah, there's Yick, the Skakdi over there. Then there's Nidiak, he's the boss. He's probably asleep in the ship."
IC: "From drinking? And his name is Yick.... Hmmmm...." Kaithas said, barely resisting the use of a pun. "so we need to talk with the boss about me temporarily joining the crew?"
IC: Slannak"Hmm... I wouldn't wake him up. He will probably have a serious hangover. I'll just ask Yick." Slannak looked up to the top of the sails, where Yick was. "Do you think this guy can join the team for a while?" "Screw you!" came the reply. She turned back to Kaithas. "I'll take that as a yes."
IC: Kaithas made a sloppy salute and then whispered to Slannak "Is he always like that?"
IC[Marine HQ; morning]"I was by the beach, meditating." Agni spoke calmly as he greeted us. "I expected to find you here after finding Cael's home empty on my way back." It was here I saw a small, amused grin played across his face. "And I see you've found your armor, Joske."It took my mind a full second to process that last statement."How did you... but that means... you... erk... switched... gaaa...oh Mata-nui... " I stood up in the middle of my spaz, unable to come to terms with what he just did. He just continued to stand there smiling until I came to grips with myself, which was no easy feat. I took two steps and went chest-to-chest with him, this time my face even and emotions level."Ok wise guy, you win that round. Just to let you know you cost me a lot of face this morning, making me look like a bumbling cool dude. I did not however come to trade barbs with you; I came because of this." With a shove I pressed his note against his own armor, and not nicely I might add. I wasn't angry, but I was agitated. A step up from yesterday at least. I took a step back, narrowing my eyes, my voice flat. "Here's the deal; I need training, and you have experience. I got that. What I don't want in a lecture." Crossing my arms I hit him with a serious, level stare. "I'm not looking for philosophy lessons. I'm not looking for moral, ethical, toa, or whatever honor codes you may have. I'm not looking for training to be a Toa in the metaphysical sense. As much as I may have said things over the last two days I'm still conflicted about it, and I firmly believe that is a journey of self-discovery, not one that should be imposed. I'll deal with that when the time comes. What I want is mentoring and teaching on how to wield my fire powers. How to control my emotions. How to use my mask and otherwise deal with my new abilities. The moment you start doing otherwise, we're done."I took a breath. "This is not to say in the future this can change, but there are very specific and certain things I need right now before anything else, and you know that. Is that acceptable?"OOC: meh, tired and need to move this along.
Ic: "Then we are in luck if this connection serves well. Would you suggest looking for him in Le-Wahi, or do you know where I can find him?" Stannis asked. He wanted to ask what sort of a man this Sulov was, but before giving in to his curiosity he heeded to know where to find the man before he looked at any imaginary dossier. This team had to be assembled as soon as possible, and he could feel the urgency building every moment. He didn't know where it stemmed from, if it was something the strange matoran had instilled in his soul or just a nudge he kept having, but it was a driving force behind much that he did at this point.Stannis was not just a matoran trying to prove that he could do more than sit around and carve rocks; he had evolved past that point. Now he was a matoran on a mission, a leader who had shown that he was capable and proved himself to the gods. He was worthy of more, and he needed to wander. That was his mission. His wanderings would solve the mysteries, he was sure, all he needed to do was accomplish the missions he was led to.
IC: SlannakSlannak whispered back "Yep. Always."
IC: Kaithas regretted not using the pun. Of course, using it would probably get a Skadi fist in his face. "Oh well. I have two questions. Where do I sleep, and where do I put my sword."
OOC: Toa Fanixe, Reaver's in Casa JuturnaIC: ReaverShe looked up at Dorian, and recognised him from the sparring match they had a while back. 'No thanks, I'll be fine,' she said bitterly, turning back to the Timestamp.Tick. Tick. Tick.
IC: Slannak"You can sleep below deck. There's a spare bed or two. And the sword? Put it where you like."
IC: Kaithas decided to put the sword close to his bed, as he didn't trust the Skakdi. "Very well. I'll go to bed. I'll see you in the morning. Maybe get to meet your boss." Kaithas grinned. "Well? Aren't you gonna give me a goodnight kiss?"OOC: sorry, I couldn't resist. Been too long without a slap worthy joke. ![]()
IC: SlannakSlannak smiled and rolled her eyes. "Come on. Off to bed for you now. And try not to make too much noise. You might wake the boss."
IC: Kaithas jokingly pouted. Then grinned. "I'm going, I'm going. Then tomorrow, who knows. Maybe I'll demonstrate the bonsai maneuver on our Skadi friend." Kaithas walked down below deck.
IC: YickYick climbed down from the sails and watched the new Toa disappear below deck. He then turned to Slannak. "Doesn't Nidiak bring enough random people aboard?" He shook his head as she grinned sheepishly. Yick then decided to go down to bed, and went inside the ship.
IC: Kaithas sunk down into his bed, glad for the rest. OOC: I am going to bed IRL. It will be morning when I or you wake up tomorrow, I guess.. How's that for playing in real-time?
IC (Lohkar)The Infernavika began to pass the southern Ga-Wahi coast, grasslands visible past the sandy shore. Lohkar was now seriously beginning to wonder what was keeping Gunner so long...
OOC: Short post will be short because I'm tired.
IC: Dekal"So," the Toa of Sonics said, noticably not having removed his arm from Four, "to the Fowadi!"
IC: [The Fourth]"Your arm is rather uncomfortable."
IC: Dorian (Casa Juturna, Ga-Wahi)One eyebrow rose, and I looked at my own Timestamp. I had a little under a month from all the anger that had been accumulated over the course of the last few days. Turning my glance up to Reaver, I took her wrist gently and wrapped it around my own; her timer started to roll up, and up, and up, until she was now the proud owner of seven extra days and I let go."Half is for you. Half for Emotia," I said with a gentle smile.-Teezy
IC: Gunner - InnI shrugged, "Well, I guess it's ultimately Perkahn's decision. Just listen to what he says, and you probably won't die. Probably."With that cheery thought, I flew back into the air, soaring back over to the Infernavika in no time flat. Landing on the deck with my trademark smirk, I waved to Lohkar."Well, the message is there, captain. Perkahn is glad to know that we now have a vague idea where Dorian is, and he and Grochi are currently forming a team to help in this endeavour."IC: Rynekk Simul - Darksea Inn"Alright, to the Fowadi!" Rynekk repeated with a great deal of gusto, immediately turning for the door.-Void
IC (Lohkar)"Good work, mate," Lohkar replied. He gave Gunner a wry look. "Took your time, though..."
IC: Kaithas woke up with sun streaming in from above deck. He got out of bed and tested his leg. It was sore, but he could walk on it without the crutch. Kaithas tried his powers on the crutch, and he grinned as it started blooming. He walked above deck to look for Slannak.
