IC--Beat--Infirmary
"Yeah, I dunno what even started that off. Kinda weird that so many people would get it into their heads to try and kill each other all at once." She yawned, suddenly feeling very tired.
IC--Sepulchral--Roof
"Just a moment," Sepulchral interjected, struggling to verbalize his thoughts. After a moment of silent thought, he continued. "Lucid...you saved my life twice today. I owe you a greater debt than I know how to repay. If you ever need help, for any reason at all...I will do everything in my power to aid you."
IC: Lucid / Roof
Lucid smiled, touched by Sepulchral's gratitude. "Thank you," she gently replied. But thoughtfully, she continued, "But... I didn't help you to earn favors, and I hope you don't help me solely out of an obligation to repay them. Please don't think of yourself as just my debtor. Think of me, instead... as your friend, and help me out in the spirit of that friendship."
IC Sunshine
Just what I wanted to happen, you little annoyance.
Sunshine leapt off of the wall as soon as the Matohrok smashed its head in it. Erecting a pillar from the ceiling to cling to, he then dropped next to Illusive, forgetting the Matohrok would continue the attack.
IC--Sepulchral--Roof
"One does not preclude the other," Sepulchral replied, choosing his words especially carefully. "A fellow is worth nothing if he does not repay his debts. But such repayment can only go so far." He smiled. "A friend, though, I would help with anything."
IC: Lucid / Roof
Lucid smiled. "Then when I need help with something, I'll be sure to come to you," she told Sepulchral gratefully. "And when you need assistance, you can come to me," she added. She really didn't want to reduce friendship to but a pleasant euphemism for slavery, unlike some.
IC Matoran-Porter:
Chittering madly, it turned, roled up once more, and barreled toward Sun's back.
Meanwhile Poly, still suspended in Space time that is BRPG, was still stabbing at Motisia's midsection.
OOC: I hate travelling...
IC: Mortsia
I step to the side, grabbing one of my new weapons, and swing, though clumsily, at the flat of the rapier. Karz, I hate these things...
IC: Shock
"Well, for starters, everyone we could fight is in the karzing mosh pit happening. " I say, looking at the group.
IC: Nightmare
"Fine. Lets go." He said, "Oh, and if Mr. Brightcape lifts his dagger thing, Cover your eyes."
IC Poly:
We were faster and the mace was too slow. Which isn't to say we hit with no interference. no, rather, in all likelyhood, our stabbing was enhanced by being dragged across Mortisia's body. Perhaps leaving a nasty, deep gash? We could not say.
Fair play, and all.
With no time to spare such thoughts, however, and unknowing of our success or failure, we fired a third Rhotuka, point blank.
better to keep our opponent occupied.
IC--Sepulchral--Roof
"Of course. There is not one person in this entire blasted institution whom I trust more than you." Granted, the only other student he had talked to had been attempting to kill him at the time, but given the general atmosphere of bloodthirstiness he had observed, he doubted he would extend any great degree of trust to another without a very good reason.
IC: Mortsia
The rapier did leave a deep gash, and the Rhotuka hit me dead on. Cursing, I pushed off of Poly as best as I could. Staggering back, I will the gym to form a dome around me, so that I could recover from the nausea. I crouch down, panting... Why did I agree to this?
IC: Glaciem Ignis - Refectory.
"So...." we looked around, "...this is awkward."
IC: Lucid / Roof
Lucid smiled. "That means a lot to me," she said quietly. Her attempts to help him were continually proving to have been "And for what it's worth, I trust you too." There was no way anyone could have faked the emotions he'd displayed as convincingly as he did. And anyways, the stars would have told her if they were.
IC Sunshine
Hm...
Sunshine willed the gym to make a wall between him and Illusive so he-
"Ack!"
Once again, captain mango just hit him in the back, and sent him flying towards Illusive, the wall immediately depleting.
IC: Vyper - Entrance.
A dark silhouette against the lighter stone, I made my lonesome way along the Chirox Causeway, the boat that had dropped me off already receding into the distance. The gentle sea breeze tugged wistfully at the embroidered cloak draped over my slim frame, and I instinctively pulled it tighter around me.
Sounds and sensations swirled and danced around me; simultaneously turbulent and melodic. The cool of the breeze in my face was at odds with the warmth of the sun on my back. My clawed toes clicked softly against the wind-worn stone underfoot, while the waves below lapped at the towering stone pillars I walked upon.
And before me? A jagged, monolithic structure, dark and foreboding, wreathed in shadows, silence and secrets.
"Home sweet home," I mused, as I pushed open the heavy wooden doors - the hinges creaking ominously as I did so - and stepped into the gloom of my new home: Corpus Rahkshi.
OOC: Vyper open for interaction.
IC: Revenge-Library
"Thanks, I'm going to go look for him. I'll see you around."
IC: Alpha/Library >>>Dorms
"See you around."
I walked out to go to my dorm. I needed to rest.
IC Recherche / Dorms
"Do you know of any Lerahk?" He hefted his weaponry, as if to say 'let's go acquire some venom if so.'
IC: Helix/Dorms
"Unfortunately not really...but I did encounter one. He was working on the monument out there on the Causeway. Offered my help, but, since they didn't know me, they kindly refused the offer. Strange thing is, he didn't have a suit, and was using a Porter or his friend as transportation."
IC: Bulllseye and Toxin/Suvak's Office
"What do we do now?"
"Should we go and find if Suvak is here?"
"Sure."
They walked up to Suvak's office and knocked on the door.
IC: Revenge-Hallway
Revenge began to wander the halls calling for Rider.
IC Flabbergaster
Come on... Flabbergaster was close to getting his arm free...
"Rider! hey Rider! where are you?"
Someone was shouting their head off down the halls. "You lookin' for someone?" He called back.
IC--Sepulchral--Roof
"It is worth far more than even you can know," Sepulchral said. He searched for something to add, to make his statement feel less bare, but strangely, nothing seemed to come.
IC Poly:
A sanctuary? More like a trap.
We hopped up on the top of the dome, flipped our rapier over, and stabbed it deeply into the stone, punching through to the hilt of our blade. Then dripped noxious slime as fast as could be produced.
The interloper would either drown or flee. It mattered little to us.
IC: Lucid / Roof
Lucid nodded gracefully, allowing an awkward silence to begin following Sepulchral's words, for he didn't seem quite satisfied with being done... But he was, so after a moment passed she said, "Well, I'll see you later then," and turned again to leave, maybe for real this time.
IC--Sepulchral--Roof
Sepulchral allowed Lucid to leave; whatever statement he could not find now could always be said the next time they met. He waved to her receding form, then slipped into flight mode once more in preparation to make his way to his original destination from many hours ago--the library.
IC: Vyper - Hallways.
Corpus Rahkshi's interior was pretty much everything I'd been led to expect: dark, dank, and dreary. The main halls were spacious, no doubt to provide room for multiple rahks to walk and fly past each other without colliding. The stone of the walls and floor felt different, quivering with anticipation and potential, as one might expect of living rock being forcibly held in place by electrical currents.
I continued on my way, finally being able to compare the school itself to the map I'd spent half of last night memorising. I still had the map, but I decided not to use it. It might be more useful to find someone to give me a tour, instead.
OOC: Open for interaction.
IC Doubt
Seeing nothing of interest, Doubt exited the library, clumsily dropping the book on the floor as he left.
'What happens now?" He said to himself, pacing slowly down the halls.
OOC: Doubt open for interaction.
IC: Mortsia
Really now. That would be how you approach it. Sighing quietly, I simply summon a pit where the poison is dripping in. It would take a while to fill, probably enough time to become less nauseated. What is up with this Rahkshi?
IC: Shock
"Yay! Let's get... Eanie, Meanie, Mini Mo... That one!" I point to the one impersonating King Arthur with the sword in the stone (Poly). I whip out my Zamor, aim, and shoot at them. With a little luck, they should be too busy using their power to notice a big, blue sphere hurtling towards them... With my luck, though, it would probably hit a random passerby...
IC: Lucid / Roof, Courtyard
Lucid wandered along the roof, with only a vague route to the Infirmary in mind. Eventually she came upon the Courtyard, which is to say she almost fell into the Courtyard, clumsily switching into flight mode just in time to avoid sustaining a nasty injury and ruining a flowerbed after stepping onto thin air above one of the gardens. Brushing herself off, she picked a hallway apparently at random and wandered off towards it.
OOC: Lucid open for interaction leaving the Courtyard for the halls.
IC Poly:
Perhaps someone less...... enlightened would divert all their focus to using a level one power, but we were not so foolish.
That, and a bright glowing ball flying toward us was a pretty big tip off.
Stopping the flow momentarily, we shifted over, letting the Zamor fly past us, before raising our other arm, and fired a Rhotuka at the blue and white Rahk, before returning to filling the space below us with slime.
IC: Revenge-Hallway
Revenge heard someone respond to his calls, following the voice he turned the corner and saw, "Rider!" He ran down the hallway towards his friend. "There you are!"
IC: Shock
"Why did I know THAT THAT WOULDN'T KARZING WORK. IT NEVER DOES!" I scream while side-rolling away from the Rhotuka. "I broke too many mirrors..."
IC--Footwork--GymFootwork noticed, out of the corner of his eye, that Snap seemed very nervous. He hadn't even considered that there could be another Rahkshi as uncomfortable with combat as himself. "Say," he said to her, "would you please run to the library and tell Feka that the melting is almost done?"
IC: Snap [Gym->Halls]
"huh?" Snap pulled away from the scene and back to Footwork, relieved to have any reason to stop watching the fight. "Oh, sure thing!"
she then turned to the door and broke into a sprint before she had even finished her snetence,
"I'll be back in a flash! before you can even say "Brotherhood of Makuta" for sure!"
and she was gone down the hall, a trail of withered petals behind her.
IC: Rose
IC--Sepulchral--Halls
Soaring along the grim outer wall of the building, Sepulchral darted in through the first window he came across, landing smoothly in the hall. He yawned as he set off down the corridor; the recent hours of physical and emotional combat had taken their toll. Still, there was much to be done before he could allow himself to rest. With this fact in mind, he strode purposefully in the direction of the library.
IC--Nyarl--Gym
Nyarl soon grew bored with watching the fight. Sweeping over to an unoccupied corner of the arena, he summoned a target for his disk, which he immediately flung through the air, striking the protrusion dead center. As he walked over to retrieve it, a similar target sprouted where he had been standing. Smiling slightly, Nyarl threw the disk again.
IC--Footwork--Gym
Snap was out if the room before Footwork could thank her. He supposed it must have been the fight that had disturbed her; he couldn't think of anything else it could have been. If there were actually other students here who were as nervous about combat as he was, perhaps his mother wouldn't get what she wanted after all. Footwork smiled and focused back on his task.
IC: Nightmare
"Don't let it get you down Shock." He Said "But now that we've started we need to win. You go Left, I go Right."
IC: "As you wish."
Grossh ushered them into the dining quarters with a golden hand, surprising a Steltian servant who had been wiping down the tables there.
"I'll reach my friends. You make yourself comfortable. I know they have at least one operative who stays close to Nynrah, so hopefully they should respond in good time."
IC: "Not fixed well enough, it seems." Palma gave Rider a once over, eyes flicking from his spines to his feet as she checked for more physical-based damage. The sort she could actually help with. "You might want to consider getting a professional to have a look at that."
IC: As the door to the Headmaster's office opened, Sliver caught a black mist at the back of the room that swirled for a moment before vanishing; Tridax dematerialising, teleporting away to wherever Icarax had deemed him more useful.
The more military Makuta looked down at Sliver, eyes the colour of fire yet so very cold.
Very well. I believe I am acquainted enough with the facility. What requires my presence.
IC: When Suvak answered the door to Bullseye and Toxin, he was looking bleary eyed and a little peaky. Apparently he'd been taking the transition between headmasters (and assignments) to catch up on some sleep.
"Can I help?"
IC Flabbergaster
Flabbergaster would have made a happy comment, but the wall was trying to amputate him. So with another great heaving, he shot out of the wall and ran into... The other wall. This tine he didn't get caught.
IC Doubt
A terrible noise that sounded like a chalkboard going through a grinder emanated from the halls. Clutching one side of his head, Doubt walked till he saw the cause of the noise: a Rahkshi digging her claws into the wall.
"Hey! could you cut that out?"
IC: Helkyre
Location: Hallways
"Sounds good." The dorms happened to be exactly where she had originally intended to go. Before waiting for a response from Bikraata, she began walking in the general direction of where she thought the dormitory might be.
IC: Fíor - Halls
"Do you know who they were?" I ask in conversational tones as we make are way slowly but surely towards my dorm.
IC: Nymph (Hallways)
"Never seen her before," I reply.
IC: Malady (Hallways/With Grim and co.)
"I'm sorta disappointed in Subject now, to be honest," I say thoughtfully, to no-one in particular, more of just a general remark because I'm bored.
IC: Mu (Hallways)
Because his writer had lost track of what was happening, Mu punched Eps in the face unless he isn't in any position to do that, in which case PM his writer and tell him to edit.
IC: Shock
"Okay." I say, before deciding that I want to go right. So, I start circling to the right...
IC: Spezia
At this point, I had harvested a variety of different vegetables, as well as several types of grain. I look at the tree that Strurin had climbed up. "Caught anything?" I mouth, in case he had not.
IC: Vitesse
I land in the courtyard, grumbling about the Makuta. Something... Colorful catches my eye. "Lucid!" I call out.
IC: Draco
I grunt in agreement. To think he was once seemingly a Loyalist...
IC: Nightmare
Seems he wanted right. He thought, Before circling left.
IC: Strurin
Strurin didn't notice Spezia, Instead he was staring at the Bait, waiting.
Soon would be nice, Rahi....
IC Poly- Gym:
Fools, the lot of them. We retracted our Rapier, realising we could simply bend the gym to our will.
A pipe connected to the dome, and seawater began to rush in. We hopped down, and a dome of our own encased the entire thing. If Mortisia tried to escape, they would find their way blocked.
In the meantime, we looked at our two new foes.
"Who are you, that would oppose us?"
IC Kat- Grossh's home:
I rained standing, but stepped I to the room. I was already on edge, and all of this secret society Karz wasn't helping.
IC Grim-Gym:
"Truly, I hope that I am mistaken. But one cannot be too careful when treachery is involved."
IC Diode- Courtyard:
Corpus Rahkshi. A violent place, to be sure. Students of every sort vied for power or influence in an eternal struggle.
But not for me. I was quite content to just assist the Porters in tending the garden of flowers. They were simple, five petal flowers of various colors. The breeze carried their light, pleasant scent across the courtyard.
My name is Diode, and my father is Spiriah.
But that doesn't matter much to me. Father was never very accepting of me. Of any of my brothers and sisters.
Idly, I rubbed the scarred nubs where spines used to be. Indeed, not very accepting.
I shook my head, my jaw ring jingling slightly as it clanked against my deep blue faceplates.
I sat back on silver legs, simply watching the tiny ecosystem before me. Insects buzzed to and from flowers, carrying pollen and nectar. Truly, a beautiful thing.
Sometimes, I wish that I'd been Plant Control. But, in a way, that would detract from the simple beauty. Besides, Electricity suits me just fine.
OOC: Diode open for interaction.
IC: Shock
"Well... I don't know. I could be Shock, or I could be-" I make various grunting noises. "Either way works."
IC: Mortsia
Okay. The sea water was uncalled for. I lower my dome... To find another dome. Wow. Now what? Well... That Rahkshi had pierced stone wit ha rapier. Maybe... I pull out one of my maces, and with all my strength, I hit the wall. A small crack. Again! This time, the wall broke down a bit. Again! The ho.e became wide enough to crawl out of. The wall! Turning camouflaged, I rush up the wall, climbing, climbing... I could not. I fall don my back hard. Groaning, I lay still remaining camouflaged. I need to recover a bit still...
