  • IC: Mimira - Infernavika, Ga-Wahi -Mimira made a pouting-like face, and handed Lasinia the card she had just picked up, a seven. "Ah man..." IC: Emotia - Casa Juturna, Ga-Wahi -Emotia took a moment to aborb everything Labelle was saying, it was a lot. "Yes to the first few questions. My wedding dress is upstairs, come on, I'll show it too you." She got up off the couch, gesturing Labelle to follow, and purposely choosing to forget the other questions, she hoped Labelle's desire to see the dress would at the very least delay the need to answer them.

  • IC: ReaverShe didn't dare look away from the Timestamp, didn't dare miss a second. Suddenly, though she'd known it all along, the truth finally hit her. Hard.I don't want to die.She cautiously took a Talon, and applied it to the edge of the Mark of Agony. Maybe removal was the only option. As soon as the blade broke the skin, she doubled over in pain, and her eyes flared a bright blue. Her fingers dug into the floorboards, tearing massive chunks out of the wood. She reared back and screamed, her cries piercing through the silent night. Her Timestamp raced upwards, finally settling at fifteen days. She collapsed to the ground, lying still for around a minute. Reaver gradually dragged herself to her feet, her eyes bright white, her Mark seeming to creep outwards like vines.'Everything's fine!' The Mark called out to Emotia, a smirk spread wide across her face.

  • IC: RiarilBreathe escaped through her mouth; a convict flying from its cell.  A shroud wrapped itself around her, a warm temperature pressing inwards.  Claustrophobia rushing her to primal nature, she clawed outwards, soil squishing between her nails.   Riaril gasped, her mud coated forearm breaking through the soft earth to scrape the moonless night.  A fog floated from her grave as she felt her lungs contract, and Riaril glanced around to gather her bearings.  Everything seemed altered, as if the left side was obstructed by some errant matter.  Riaril raised a hand to clear away the dirt impairing her vision but found only a pustering mass of scarred flesh. In horror she retracted her appendage, one eye gazing at the tips of her soft fingers in the grey-light.   Cliche phrases sprung to the forefront of her mind, a strong thrill rushing up her spine at a single thought: I am alive  still entrenched from the chest down, Riaril began shoving earth aside, using her legs like compactors in reverse as her hands pulled soil away from the top.  Sweat gathered under her arms, trickled down her back, blurred her twisted vision, and still she worked until her body was free from the clutches of Karzhani.  Dawn was breaking as Riaril finally attempted to stand, one hand resting on a stone for balance. Lucky I wasn't given a traditional funeral, Riaril mused, relieved at her fortune. This must have been Krayzikk's doing...  Krayzikk. Riaril's thoughts flew to her avenger, memories blending into a wild fantasy of emotions.  He was with her through and through.  She could feel his hands, palms large as her head, wooing her to bed in the hospital, the warm beating of his gentle heart as they slept inebriated in a rocker.  Her throat choked, causing her to cough as tears began to pool on he lip of her kanohi. A mask of healing.  Right.  I am a doctor. . Images flew past of her colleagues: Nakumiir, who would always deep down harbor jealousy against Riaril for being the leader even as she bandaged the wounded, Faerulo that matoran of stench and herbs, Moriika with his gruff shell to hide the secret beneath, and yes, Riaril reminisced dryly, even Takimoc, the toa of fire curled up under her desk, slippers on and her coffee cup in his hands as a joke. Her head hung in shame. I failed all of them.  Foreboding encroaching with the breaking dawn, Riaril dragged herself towards the falls, her healthy ears guiding where vision failed.  The graveyard was a distance from the koro and solitude was Riaril's wish.  Pity hung like the rope on the noose of self-loathing dangling her at the gallows of fear.  She was utterly alone.  The clouds broke only to reveal rain, the downpour drenching the wahi in a summer torrent.  Wind thrashed the viny boughs around, their groans and creaks causing Riaril to believe she was hearing a foreign language.  Ahead was the falls, the rocky jettison of land she clambered over crossing itself though the spray of a waterfall.  As she moved forward Riaril concentrated on the rhythm of the water, how it dashed into the rocks below, how it rushed from the river above.  She rose shakily onto her feet and spread her hands apart as if to salute the morning sun.  Then she slipped.  Drip...  Drip...  She was in some underwater cavern, a hallowed  hideaway tunneled into the falls.  Water glittered across the walls, dripping off the angled  tips of stalactites, a steady liquid metronome counting out her heartbeats. Small phosphorescent insects glittered in the dark maw of the grotto, and strange lichens illuminated a beveled path into the earth.  Riaril pushed herself into a sitting position and almost screamed in shock. "Wh-who are you?!" Riaril spoke, her voice reflecting off the walls, amplifying the utter terror tenfold.  She could barely make the figure out, it's position being further back into the space where light didn't reach, save for the single flicker of a solitary flame illuminating the hunchback. The cloaked figure rasped as  it turned, like some rusty automaton finally pulled from an ancient storehouse of treasures.  Riaril had found her Pandora's box.  The headache she felt from the fall grew to a concussive bombshell as the figure slowly put aside its work -- a quill carved from bone clattered gently onto a mushroom grown in the shape of a writing desk beside a hefty tome, it's cover remaining open to the page of work -- and slid off its pedestal.  It walked with a prominent limp, the left leg dragging behind as the runt of the pair.  Riaril attempted to crawl back, a hand splashing into the frigid saltwater behind.  She was trapped.  In the moment Riaril glanced down to the water and back the figure had already reached her, legs spread on either side of Riaril's body.   So fast! With a dull crunch of mossy beach, it fell to its knees, cloak covering Riaril's legs.  She smelled decay.  Coughing, Riaril turned her head but a ragged nail pulled it back in alignment for the succulent robbery of Riaril's warm lips, a hand pressed gently against her chest but firm enough to prove escape impossible.  A moment of reflection.  The figure withdrew, and with newfound space Riaril's eyes adjusted to the face beneath the hood. "I think you already know who I am, Doctor."

  • IC:Agni could practically feel the sarcamsm washing over him from behind. The Toa of fire wasn't exactly sure why Joske thought he was an old Muaka stuck in its way, but then again, the Agni Joske remembered had been a frustrated Toa warrant officer patroling Ta-Koro without any prospect of ever getting out of that place to change something that mattered. Until Valria had appeared and changed almost everything. Which the younger Toa of fire couldn't know about, naturally. But Agni knew he would clear out his 'students' (There's something he never expected he would have.) misconceptions about himself soon enough. He chuckled."Nothing as exciting as that, I'm afraid. I need to find some good friends of mine, let them know the new situation..." the Toa of fire paused for a moment, collecting his thoughts. To Joske it seemed as if a shadow crossed the veterans face, before he spoke again: "...And to say goodbye to some of them." He took a deep breath, and the moment passed, his eyes suddenly brighter. "Alright, rookie, throwing flames." Agni said. "There's still a little distance to cover; might as well show you something along the way. Throwing flames and fireballs are some of the basics. You've seen it yourself. One elemental discharge and you've got a big red ball of flame cutting a trail through the jungle. Control is key. You need to regulate how much energy you want to put into what you do."As if to illustrate, he held out his hand and a fist-sized ball of flame errupted from Agni's palm. Then, he closed his hand, extinguishing it. When he opened the hand again, 5 small flames were dancing around his fingertips. In the end, he snapped his fingers once, and a single candle-light sized flame hovered over his index-finger."Think of that giant fireball down by the beach. Remember how much energy you felt. And now try to just take a tiny bit of that, the smallest amount, needed to throw a spark or light a match and use it to make a small flame and channel that through your hand." The Toa of fire could see the disappointment in Joske's eyes. He wanted all the knowledge and he wanted it yesterday, if he could have his way. Agni chuckled once more. "Just try it."With a sigh, the young Toa of fire did as he was asked. He concentrated on a candle-light, snapped his fingers and...the next instant, an explosive flame, twice the size of his hand errupted in mid air. Agni had to hold back a laugh. "Gesundheit." he said, with a grin. "And there's your flamethrower."Not a minute later, the three Toa crossed another walkway and arrived at a somewhat larger hut, where Agni found Valria talking to the Matoran working there. "Hey Val. I brought some new friends." he greeted her. OOC: The mask, could we have Mef's funeral within like...the next post from you? Prettyplease? =)

  • IC: DehkazWith a nod to Kale, the Toa of Magnetism gave the wheel and turn, directing them away from docks. The Fowadi was far from manuverable, but with the right wind conditions and a whole lot of help from Dehkaz's own elemental power, the massive ship could get going quite fast. The problem, sometimes, was stopping it in emergencies, but with a Toa of Iron and Magnetism, it wouldn't be that hard to do so using its armor.

I put it away after a second and twirled the quill around my fingers for a second before throwing it; it missed Cylund's cheek by a centimeter and flew towards one of the dartboards, gradually hardening to an almost metal-like consistency as it hit the center and stuck there, wobbling and flaying like a dying ship in a hurricane."Took me decades to master that trick," I said, moving towards the dartboard with Mark-enhanced speed - people were always angry in bars, otherwise, they wouldn't be drinking - and plucking the feather away. • OOC: Hubert, Snelly, the Infernavika is now in the Kumu Islets.IC: Rynekk Simul - FowadiRynekk, glancing around at everyone onboard the ship, was suddenly struck by how surrounded by people he was. In the whole, wide world, he was most literally crowded with more people than he could ever count. And yet, he was still abysmally alone.Mata Nui... Why am I such a moron? Why...Leaning against the railing of the ship, the Toa looked down at his armour, splotchy and rusted, resembling the colour scheme of an Infected Kanohi. That would have been fine with him... had the colour not been the entire idea.Karzin' Makuta...There it was. The constant reminder of his failure as a Toa. A collection of objects, which would forever remind him of the people that had been slain by him, and the lives ruined by his blind devotion to an evil god.Wiping the beads of sweat from his forehead, Rynekk gritted his teeth against the onslaught of memories. He couldn't allow those things to control him. He had to conquer them, if he ever wanted to find his sister again. With that thought motivating him, the Toa shifted, tossing himself off of the ship, and back onto the docks, rolling to distribute the force of the landing, before activating his Kakama and blasting off into the distance.Within moments, he was standing behind Naona and Tillian, giving both of them a friendly wave, "Hello! • IC, Cylund:(The Dead Ringer, Ga-Koro)Cylund wouldn't usually be completely comfortable with a man putting his head on his shoulder, but now, he was just slightly too drunk to care. He sighed, his grin devoured by his giddiness. Right now, he was too serious for it to be natural."Good question... never quite been able to answer it. Always wanted to be the head of a mercenary company, rich, powerful, and the type who might slit your grandma's throat if you don't pay him. Then I could go back to my girl. And ride off with her, surrounded by a gang of professional murderers of my own, and my family and their friends could think I turned rogue and kidnapped her, and her honor wouldn't matter since it'd be mine that's getting stained... ugh. Pour me another."He, in his drunkenness, was past understanding that he'd gone into areas he'd keep quiet about if he was sober. He was also past understanding that Dorian had no understanding of these areas. He just seemed to want to talk, and not really mind if he was being understood.

That went off better in my head, I thought to myself. All Agni did was silently laugh."Gesundheit." he said, with a grin. "And there's your flamethrower."Gee, thanks. I thought, glaring at him, but he had already moved on. I patted down my arm, putting out the rest of the embers. This was going to be a LOT harder than I thought. Still, flamethrower: check. Candle... not so check.I wanted to talk to Agni more about this, but it seemed as though it would have to wait. He started talking to a being called Val, and coupled with what he had said moments earlier it seemed as though he had some personal business to take care of first before dealing with me. Patience was not my strong suit but I could respect a man who got his personal affairs in order before moving on. Wiping the black off my hand I stood back and relaxed, giving Agni his space.I suppose now would be better than ever to start practicing the art of waiting.Blarg.

Xylak was perfect. But him... he killed small animals. Xylak made the small animals kill themselves. There's a vital difference there.""Leave. I'll look you up, if I ever need a drinking buddy or a partner or something."He nodded his goodbye drunkenly and went out for a brofist that came dangerously close to smashing into my right pectoral, so I fistbumped him back and, brandishing the quill, walked out into the street calmly, letting the crisp night air brush me as I closed my eyes and moved along back to the Inn with a startling quickness and coherence for someone who had just commandeered a bar like that.OOC: Well...Dorian open for interaction, then?-Teezy

  • IC: Kaithas turned, noticing a Toa of Iron(Dorian). "Hey. You look like you could take some liquor. You wanna join?"

  • IC: Dorian (Ga-Koro)I turned on my heel, big blue eyes widened in curiosity as I searched for the voice; I found its perpetrator after a second and laughed easily. The Toa couldn't help but laugh along with me. No one could. Finally, I let it die off in a sigh and stared at the shot glass, still spinning around in my palm. I probably should have given it back..."Truuuust me, buddy," I said, sounding for all the world like just another young man who had just walked out of the bar (I really should have been an actor...) "I have had too much night for one liquor. I mean...uh..."-Teezy

  • IC: Kaithas laughed, but he didn't really trust this guy. Too smooth. "Well, I'm practically unbeatable anyway. You could try for second. Slannak here is no good, and the others have had a lot already."
