"He must have lost his suit, a weakling like that won't produce strong venom." He spoke dismissively. "We should scout out the gym for potential... Donators of venom, find the best we can."

He didn't add that of course, the venom would likely have to be taken by force. He was unsure if Helix was the sort ready to grasp what he wanted, by force if necessary. However, he quickly made his way to the doorway. "Let us act with haste."

  • IC: Char - Refectory

Char finished her bowl and took a quick glance at the two remaining Rahkshi. One asleep, the other awkwardly watching over her. Yeah, I'm not getting anything here.

And so she stood up, leaving her bowl on the table, and followed the Limited Invulnerability Rahk out. At least, that was the idea, but by the time she reached the door, he had turned a corner and was gone. Frowning slightly, Char began idly wandering the halls, searching for new treachery to root out.

    OOC: Char open to interaction.

  • IC--Sepulchral--Halls/Library

At long last, Sepulchral stepped through the library doors. He spared a moment to reflect on the numerous misadventures he had experienced since he first set out to find this place, but only a moment. He had business to attend to, after all. he trod softly along the rows of shelves, looking for any sign indicative of a section on history or philosophy.

    IC--Beat--Infirmary

"Yeah, but at a certain point, training and instinct just turn into plain old stupidity," Beat replied, stifling another yawn.

    IC--Kaboom--Dorm/Halls

Kaboom awoke with a yawn and a massive stretch. His sleep had done him good in more ways than one; his tree had recovered from most of the damage it had suffered, and was laden with fruit once again. Grinning, he strode out into the hall, wondering whether to blast the first chump he came across or find something else worth doing. Whichever one he found first, he supposed.

OOC: Sepulchral and Kaboom open for interaction.

  • IC: Lucid / Courtyard

It came to Lucid's attention that there was another Rahkshi sitting over by the garden, enjoying to the best of her ability the tranquility of nature. She could respect that. With a brief gesture she silently lead Vitesse over to the other side of the open expanse, away from Diode.

"Well, I know a Rahk who could give you an absolutely gorgeous paint job," she told Vitesse. "Her name is Rain, and you can recognize her by the perfect gradient on her armor - silver to blue to gold. If you showed an appreciation for her art and asked nicely, she'd probably jump at the chance to give you a marvelous new coat." She paused a moment before adding a few words of caution. "Just be sure you don't criticize or demean her work, she's... violently obsessive. And not mentioning my name would probably be wise, too."

OOC: Hope you don't mind the miniscule bunnying of Vitesse further from Diode, Akai Zaza; willing to edit if you do. I assumed she would follow along, and figured we might as well save time by avoiding an extra post interval for such a trivial matter.

  • IC: Char - Courtyard

In passing the Courtyard, Char's eyes fell upon a lone Rahkshi. He seemed to be staring at the flowers without really seeing them, completely oblivious to the discussion going on a few bio away.

Char quickly analyzed the situation. It was one she was familiar with.

    Alone? Check.

    Friendless? Perhaps.

    Gentle? Undoubtedly.

She sighed a little inside. Just another disappointment to the Rahkshi race. Someone who would rather mope about and look at flowers than lead an army.

But such Rahkshi were pliable, easily manipulated by those that knew how.

"The flowers sure are pretty today," she said softly as she approached Diode.

  • IC: Vlad / Gym

"Zen let us see vhat you are in zer light!" Vlad declared.

Wide around the duality of a dueling duo walls began to form at Vlad's command, possessing a double function. They would prevent anyone else from interfering in the battle, for it was to be between Vlad and his enslaver opponent alone. (Especially since the way things seemed to be going out there, interference was more likely to be against the vampire Vorahk.) And they were lined with lights. Tolerable, practically enjoyable, for such an unholy aberration as Vlad, but they should have a typical lower-level Rahkshi squinting. Hopefully. Not like he could know firsthand.

As those went up Vlad hurled Avenger, with a small wince and as much force as he could muster with the arm Illusive had impacted. Not at Illusive, though - at the Matoran he had reduced to a self-deprecating mouthpiece. It wasn't quite as ferocious a shot as the one that had slain the other slave earlier, but neither was it quite to be laughed at - hopefully it would suffice for incapacitating the poor zombie. And the motion was accompanied by a full-force swing of the barbed whip down at Illusive's shoulder.

  • IC: Illusive - Gym.

I jumped backwards, shirking away from the slicing whip. I felt the Matoran go down - not that it mattered; I'd said my piece.

As for the lights... they were annoying, to say the least, but this fool seemed to have me mistaken for an old breed rahk. I'd been outside in the sun before, plenty of times. If he expected me to collapse, hissing and clawing, he was going to be sorely disappointed.

Now it's my turn... I summoned up a network of pillars inside the walls, each roughly twice the size - in both width and height - of a Rahkshi. Spaced apart in a grid formation  at regular intervals, they provided the perfect cover to make this battle a little more interesting.

The instant I was out of Sparkly's line of sight, I commanded one of the pillars to partially hollow out, and stepped into the depression, weaving an illusion to make it seem as if it were a regular pillar. There was just one little problem with this plan - the amount of mental focus it took to maintain the pillars and the illusion would make it difficult for me to properly control even one Matoran.

So I decided not to bother controlling them at all. I just instructed the three of them to start wandering aimlessly while wildly swinging their weapons around, and left them to it.

  • IC: Venom - Causeway

Venom exited the main entrance of the school and stepped outside, glancing back towards it one last time before going into Flight Mode and taking off towards the forrest.

    Goodbye, Corpus Rahkshi.

    ...

Take care of Rail for me.

    IC: Rail - Phantom-on-the-Water (Outskirts)

Even after hearing Dormirahk's words, the expression on Rail's face remained almost exactly the same.

Inside, however, the news of the village's complete and utter annihilation was the last straw for the Rahkshi of Magnetism.

Without so much as another word, he turned around before transforming back into Flight Mode and taking off through the trees. He may have arrived too late to do anything for the slaughtered Matoran, but admitting defeat now would only mean that the ones who had done the deed would go unpunished; something that he wasn't prepared to just sit by and let happen as long as his lungs were still able to draw breath. Directing his path towards The Cauldron, all of his determination was now focused on three goals.

He would dig up the chest in the clearing so that he could retrieve his weapons before ditching what he no longer needed.

He would repaint himself, returning to the color scheme of his preference so that he could reclaim his identity before confronting his quarry.

And then he would begin the hunt.

I don't care if I have to turn Corpus into a war zone just to get to you, Illusive. Your days are numbered.

  • IC: Vlad / Gym

The light didn't do much to Illusive, apparently. Oh well. It was mostly supposed to be symbolic of... something, anyways.

As the pillars began to rise Vlad rushed forwards, snatching Avenger from another corpse. Poor guy... just trying to live his life, and this had happened. Just more proof that the world sucked. At least, his blank unmoving face a mask of death, he was at peace now. That was more than could be said for the righteously wrathful Vlad.

Wary of any sudden attack from behind a pillar, the Vorahk soon followed this maneuver by shifting into flight mode, briefly rising to the top of nearest pillar before landing upon it to survey the ground below. A passable vantage point, not perfect though - while he could pick out between pillars the remaining three Matoran zombies frantic aggressive lurching, Illusive was no where to be seen. Was he hiding in a shadow? Had he escaped?

It didn't matter overly much. For either way, Vlad was now free to do exactly what he'd hoped - free the Matoran, one by one. Leaping from pillar to pillar he made his way over to one of the wandering slaves (luckily but unbeknownst to him fairly distant from Illusive's true location), and hurled Avenger down at his unwary back, the golden thunderbolt of the avenging angel above.

Another Matoran dead. A real shame, in truth. All the effort I'd gone through to enslave them, and this fool didn't seem to have anything better to do with his time than go through and destroy all of my hard work.

Perhaps it was time to do a little destroying of my own...

Remaining where I hid, for now, I willed water to begin cascading down off the top of the walls my foe had created, dampening his lights and slowly beginning to fill up the little bowl he'd trapped us inside....

"Sure thing!" Beat waved as she left the infirmary. The true extent of her weariness began to hit her as she wandered toward her room, and she found her feet dragging sluggishly along the floor and her eyes refusing to stay open properly. Her thoughts chased each other around her head in fuzzy circles. About three days of sleep sounded pretty good right now.

    IC--Sepulchral--Library

Sepulchral found the history section first, and began pulling down titles involving conflicts and wars. Such events almost invariably revolved around philosophical differences, so they seemed like a good place to begin.

    IC--Kaboom--Halls

Why was it, Kaboom wondered, that the halls always seemed empty just when you wanted to find someone to pound on?

    IC--Nyarl--Gym

Nyarl had worked his target practice into a feverish rhythm, flinging his disk, leaping after it, turning and sending it flying again. This, second only to the deep seas, was where he felt the most normal, the most at home.

    IC--Footwork--Gym

The job was done; there was nothing left to melt. Footwork was left with a basin of molten protodermis and time to kill. So naturally he started dancing--though he left his music turned off and mixed in some extra fancy moves. Hopefully it would just look like he was practicing his dodging.

Now water? Why was Illusive doing that (assuming or even was Illusive?) It got in the way of the lights at little, perhaps, but they were mostly for show anyways. The more significant consequence would be the drowning of the Matoran still below, and possibly Illusive himself, if he was still down there too.

Vlad had to retrieve Avenger, though. As the water cascaded in he leapt the short height safely down into the pool, just below knee-deep, and plunged his hand into the water to pull out his golden double dagger. That finished, he flew back up to the top of the pillar again, safe above the surge, for now.

And then he waited, catching his breath while scanning the rising tide below for the inevitable floundering Matoran bodies - and any trace of his enemy.

The water was coming up to my thighs now, and my remaining Matoran now floated lifelessly on the churning surface. I'd waited as long as I could, and since I hadn't heard any rahk-sized splashes or sounds of flight, it was a decent bet that my foe was probably standing atop one of the pillars. It was time for me to emerge.

Taking a deep breath, I plunged under the surface of the water and swam out of the pillar, into the open water. My powers, combined with the shimmering of the water and glare of the lights, would make me near-invisible down here.

And finally... I released my control over the pillars, causing them to vanish back into the floor they'd emerged from.

She got out of bed and decided to explore other areas of the school. On her way through the school, she happened upon the gym. A lot of fighting was going on, some seemed to be behind walls, some in the wide open.

But one thing caught her attention. A small red and orange clad rahkshi, presumably a turahk, lied on the ground, completely motionless. At a closer glance, a deep wound to the head revealed this rahkshi to be dead. Helkyre sighed as she teleported over to the corpse, picked it up, then teleported on into the courtyard.

Immediately I began to take out a few vials of chemicals. One of which I extracted from some kind of spicy fruit I found in the Cauldron and mixed small amounts into a vial with other agents. I put a spraying mechanism, and shook the vial and offered it to Recherche, spraying a wall to display how it works.

"This compound, when in contact with organic tissue, will cause pain. This is more effective when you spray where a Rahk's eye will be exposed to it. Then it will cause tears, pain, and potentially temporary blindness. I suggest holding it away from your face. There are a bunch of other effects, but I didn't exactly record them down. Perhaps you can make some observations for me while you test it on them."

I knew some of the effects, of course, because I accidentally sprayed myself one time (and it took at least 45 minutes of so to relieve the pain). But I try not to remember incidents like that. I started to search my chemicals for something I can use to make some form of sleeping gas.

Unfortunately, unknowing of the Cauldron, Lucid could offer minimal advice in that regard. "I'm sorry... I don't really," she told Vitesse. "But there's probably a place on the mainland somewhere. You could ask around." Worst came to worst, she could take some metal from the junkyard that had been Phantom-On-The-Water, but that seemed a little distasteful.

He eyed the vial cautiously, listening to the chemist's explanation. "I'll be sure to take note of any... reactions that our subject undergoes." During the short conversation he'd been observing the gym, in particular a brutal and fatal battle. The squelching noise of the loser's impalement was audible even at the door. But, what caught his eye was not that so much as the victor : a wiry Lerahk, absolutely euphoric looking in his victory.

"There, he is our target." He pointed out the Lerahk to Helix before drawing his massive weapon and beginning to advance. Deep golden plasma flickered up and down the saw toothed club.

What the- "OY! COME BACK HERE, YOU #####!" I run after Helkyre as she teleported again and again, all the way to the courtyard.

    IC: Vitesse

"Alright. Thank you." I say, turning... To see a small Turahk, dead. Nightmare... Where was his companion, tho- There. I stand there for a second. What could have done this?

    IC: Malattia

Nothing. Bah, I don't need them. I continue shuffling... There! A fluffy thing, stuffed between a few books. Quickly, I grab it, and start running- and fall. Silently cursing, I grab one of my last three pills, before taking it. Getting up, I start for the Refectory.

  • IC: Tesla - Library:

'Oh, ok,' she responded. She took a book from Sepulchral and looked at it from both sides. 'Why are you studying such a sad theme?' she looked in his eyes, but suddenly returned book to him, 'sorry for being annoying, I am always like that when I am tired,' she yawned, 'I should go somewhere tomorrow. To some place, which is, ahem, not library,' she smiled, 'sorry for disturbing, you probably have your reasons for studying war and things and being in library, so... Bye!'

I looked at where he was pointed, witnessing the results of the killing.

"Hmm...we'll need to incapacitate him. A sleeping agent will do more effective than to irritate him."

I approached alongside Recherche, putting the spray bottle on my bandoleer for later, and taking out a few chemicals looking at each one for the right ones, while at the same time, making sure that I wasn't attacked.

Her hands fell to her sides, and the caution was once more replaced with a kind smile. With his acceptance, Char took a seat beside him and looked at the flowers. "So... you been here long?" she asked casually.
