IC (Romulus)
Romulus allowed his voice to soften. "Yes. I imagine it couldn't have been easy." For a brief moment he recalled the fall of Constantinople, the deaths of his companions and loyal soldiers as they fought the invading Ottomans street to street trying to escape or merely to make them pay in blood if they could not. "I could arrange for you to meet with him if you wish. Though I would insist on accompanying you. Alaric is a reasonable man but he is....conflicted." His sister on the other hand was unpredictable, bloodthirsty and one of Alaric's personal inner circle to boot. Politics was politics, but Mr. Green was merely an innocent caught up in said politics. He would get him back to his friends if he could and arrange his immunity to attack if that was impossible. An emperor worthy of the title had certain obligations.
IC: Nicole
Nicole was silent while Lynae and Dallas talked. She knew it would be surprising for Dallas to find out that Ric was still alive this way.
"Dallas I'm sorry..." Nicole bit her lip. "I'm sorry I hit you and chained you up. But I wanted you to come with me so badly I couldn't leave you behind. I need you... And if I said I was with Hellfire... you wouldn't have come with me, I didn't know what to do. You aren't a hostage... not anymore. If you want to go then go, but please, just stay. Just for a little bit."
Nicole looked down when Dallas said some people died for her. She wasn't sure what to say. Dallas was right, he was now a liability to Hellfire. God what have I done?
"Please, we can't kill Dallas. We need him." Nicole said as Dallas got up to leave with Romulus.
"He is strong and he can help us. Give him a chance."
IC: Jennifer
"Alright since we're all here let's get started." Jennifer said. She pressed a button on the dash and the hatch came down and sealed. Internal lights within the sub clicked on as she grabbed the controls and it sank beneath the waves.
"I hope none of you are claustrophobic." she said as she began to pilot the sub deeper into the water; heading to a marker on the radar that showed where the Sleeper had originated.
IC: Maruader
"I'm not, but I feel too contained sometimes. Especially when I use a box to sneak up on people."
OOC: Just a reference to my name. Not what I got my inspiration for him.
IC Tokiomi
"Not much less-crowded than a re-entry pod, so I'm good." Tokiomi kept his eyes glued to the radar, watching as the sub got closer to its destination.
IC
Lynae clicked her tongue and gently patted the distraught girl's head. "Don't worry, Romulus isn't one for needless killing... Dallas is safer with him than some of the others here."
IC: Nicole
Nicole looked at Lyane and nodded slowly. "Thank you..." she said. She was still worried however. Lynae was being especially nice right now but Nicole could never tell if under that niceness a dagger was waiting to pierce her heart.
"I admit I didn't think bringing him with me all the way through. I never thought I'd put him in danger."
IC: Jennifer
The sub moved through the dark water now. Since it was growing dark above the waves it was now even darker beneath them. The headlights of the sub illuminated the water before them; reflecting off a few fish' scales as they swam before Jennifer's vision.
"How could something so big get here undeteced..."
OOC: I need to speak to Snelly on this subject before we arive to make sure everything is fine.
Ic:
Eventually, Kristen got bored with just looking around. That, and at one point, she turned a corner and was able to her lynaes voice, as well as several others. Which is what made her decide that waiting in lynaes room was the best option, especially since fit had chairs in it...
IC: TLAW-001
"I'm okay, even if I can't really move as much." Vivus said, though he slightly fidgeted in his seat. Looking around the seafloor, he heard Jennifer's words. "Beats me. Maybe they've got a hatch covered up by sand that goes down several miles into the Earth's crust? Your guess is as good as mine."
IC: The general sounds of ruckus that he had earlier been listening to had continued to rise and fall, swell and deflate, an shift in tone until Nero's curiosity finally got the better of him. Following the current voices, Nero found himself outside the Institute in the driveway with some peoples he recognized such as Ashley, some he didn't, and more animals than he had initially thought were even present at the institute, all of which made the hairs on the back of his neck rise.
All the same, Nero wheeled up with a greeting of "Yo. What's going on out here, peoples?"
IC: Ashley
Ashley looked toward the mutant currently in the wheelchair, and instantly recognizable person. "Oh hey Nero!" Ashley greeted Nero, still sitting on top of Sierra in her wolf-like form. "Dallas was kidnapped by Nicole and we're gonna find out where she took him."
IC: After taking a moment to make sure he wasn't hallucinating, and that Ashley was indeed astride what appeared to be a rather large demon wolf, Nero blinked once in disbelief, then again in acceptance.
Then his brain caught exactly what Ashley described, and after a moment, another accepting blink occurred.
"Dull moments are overrated anyway." Nero replied with a grin and a shrug. "Can I come with?"
IC
"... Nicole you brought him to the Hellfire Mansion. We aren't a bunch of puppies." She said firmly, hands on her hips. "We are dangerous people."
IC: Maruader
" It could have also came from the deepest part of the Atlantic. Maybe more might be there waiting. But for New York, it seems impossible unless Vivus' s theory is true. There must be a prt here where it goes deep underground. "
IC:
Unless this guy can fly or has some other crazy power, I'm not sure how he plans to come with.
IC: Ashley
"Sure why not, we accept all help!"
IC Peter
"Somebody that you know?" Peter asked Ashley, before turning to the newcomer. "Hello. My name is Peter Tyrell, a teacher at this school. You are..."
IC: Ashley
"Why are you a teacher if you don't even know Nero is a student here?" Ashley asked Peter, blinking.
OOC He's a student? Well, derp.
IC Peter
"... Come to think of it, you're right. Must not be in one of my regular classes, maybe that's why I didn't notice."
IC: Ashley
"I don't understand something...if you're from the future, how are you even legally allowed to teach?" Ashley tilled her head. "I mean you haven't even been born yet. And certificates from the future are about as good as play money."
IC Peter
"Wait, what..."
Oh . If word got out...
"W-who told you that?" Peter asked warily. He didn't remember telling this girl that he was a time traveler.
IC: Ashley
"I thought it was obvious! I mean it explains your odd behavior and fear of paper frogs perfectly!" She grinned.
"And...I was looking through the school's records one day and I came across your file!" Ashley said cheerfully.
"Wait...you mean not everyone knew that!? I thought it was obvious."
IC Peter
"Wait, how did you gain access to teacher files?!"
"That aside," Peter sighed, "On the matter of not being allowed to teach, you could make a case against quite a few of the Institute's teachers, both present and past. Technically, you need a degree in education from an established university to legally be a teacher; this institute is much more lax about that. For example, I'm pretty sure that the former history teacher Mr. Carlisle didn't have his education degree; he was way to young for that.
IC: Ashley
"Ric has a Master's degree." Ashley corrected.
IC Peter
"... what?"
"Un-unbelievable! Guuh, I'm being out done here!!!" Peter thought bitterly to himself.
IC:
We're going to get someone who's been abducted, and these two want to discuss educational degrees? I spread my wings and glare at Peter impatiently.
IC Peter
"... Rrrright. Let's go." Peter took a few steps out to the curb, then glanced back at the garage, waiting for Sierra and Morrison.
IC: I follow Peter out to the curb, starting to track Nicole's overpowering perfume.
IC:
As the others had started moving on along, Morrison had slowly decided against calling the President. He figured that if it got public it'd be considered a misuse of presidential authority, and Morrison didn't want to put the man through something like that. He missed the days back in Japan, where a man being taken by a rival family could start a blood feud and war...depending on the man, of course.
He continued along as well, kicking the phone back to Peter, as he sniffed the air. Nicole's scent was still strong, though he feared it might be too thin further into the city; still, it was a necessary risk to take. Turning, he proceeded to follow the scent - as Sierra would likely do as well - waiting for the others to follow behind him.
IC: Ashley
Ashley of course got right back to the hunt, meaning she continued to ride on Sierra as they followed the trail of scents. Ashley was confident they'd find Dallas, no matter how far Nicole had taken him!
"I'll ask the trees if they noticed anything unusual." It was unlikely that the trees really could discern one car from another, and the farther they got away from the institute the less likely it would be to find plant-life that could 'talk' to Ashley. Ashley tried anyway.
IC: Jeffery Pryde
Since the crazy guy who had crashed the bus had already been saved, Jeff had seen no reason to linger and had led Gabriel into the institute. He'd also made it a point to slip away from his mother.
"So Gabriel...you stayed at the institute before right? Where was your dorm?"
IC: Gabriel
"Just down the hall."
IC: Jeffery Pryde
"Oh really? So is mine..." Jeff had a bad feeling, and he wasn't quite sure why. They started heading down the hall.
IC: Gabriel
"Hm? What's the problem?"
IC: Jeffery Pryde
"Oh, nothing...nothing at all..." He lied, they stopped dead at a doorway. "So...is this it?"
IC: Gabriel
"Yep."
IC: Jeffery Pryde
Jeff sighed...how could this happen? So far this year Jeff had his dorm all to himself, normally you'd have to share a dorm with someone but Jeff had lucked out.
"Well, you're not gonna believe this but...this happens to be my current dorm." Jeff wondered how fate had turned in such an awful way.
IC: Gabriel
Gabriel slowly turned to face his companion, and smiled.
"I don't bite."
IC: Jeffery Pryde
"Oh, well that's a relief." He said dryly before he began to phase through the door, he was so used to going through doors and walls in this manner than he'd forgotten Gabriel couldn't do the same.
IC: Nero casually wheeled alongside Ashley and the wolf.
"So what's the search plan?" Nero asked curiously.
IC: Ashley
"Well...right now we're tracking Nicole's scent of perfume, hopefully that will lead us to Dallas." Ashley began to explain as she looked back at Nero. Then she thought of something.
"Say...don't you have...doggy senses?" She'd heard something about Nero gaining wolf stuff before, though she'd never really payed complete attention to it.
IC: Nicole
The blonde mutant nodded. "I know we are dangerous," she said as she looked at Lynae. "But Dallas is tough. And he is powerful. His mutant power can stop or slow down time... if we could somehow get him to see that Hellfire is really the greater good, that we are really misunderstood he could be a good asset."
IC: Jennifer
"Whatever it is we are about to find out," McCoy said as they grew even closer to the marker. The lights of the sub now shone on the ocean floor as she piloted it even further. What she found was what appeared to be an abyss. It was massive. It was the imprint of where the Sleeper had risen from the ocean.
As Jennifer piloted the sub over the abyss she began scanning for any signs or clues on how the Sleeper got here. What she found was interesting. Several large underwater construction ramps and what appeared to be spare metal parts laying in the abyss.
"My god... they assembled the thing here... right under our noses."
IC: Mimic
Christine had finished the training excercise quickly. She hadn't beaten all three of them this time but next time she would. She was walking past a window when she saw a group of students going down the driveway. She also saw Sierra in her wolf form again. Deciding to keep an eye on the unstable Sierra Christine sprinted out of the mansion and caught up with all of them.
"Hey Ashley! Nero! Wait up yall. Where are you heading too?"
