IC: Tear - Gym
This place wasn't just uncivilized. It was Karzin' insane!
Tear watched with growing amusement as the battle descended into chaos. First, the intruding deities, then the bombs and threats and growing brutality of all those involved. And he laughed.
"Nothing!" he giggled in answer to Door's question. "We do nothing! Why would we ever want to interfere in that mess?!"
IC: Call - Nynrah
His target was just ahead. The red and orange Rahkshi of Laser Vision who had been a participant in the attack on the village. Just the sight of him, nonchalantly wandering through the forest, filled Call with rage.
"Murderer!" Call shouted as he charged forward, swords unsheathed. The hooked ends sliced down towards Burn's shoulders, intended to ensnare. Of course, Call wouldn't mind if it hurt just a little.
IC: Eps
Oh, ok. Back to sleep I go then. Karzin' great.
IC: Jayar / Malebranche
They had walked a while in blissful peace (and a circle or two, the park wasn't that large) when Jayar finally ended the absence of speech so often referred to, inaccurately, as silence. "I grabbed something for you from the House of Grossh..." he told Hoto, reaching into whatever equivalent of a pocket his armor held for the small packet of desserts, thankfully more or less intact.
IC: Revenge-Forest
Revenge shook his head no. He wanted to avoid fighting matoran both for their safety and for his own(and Helkyre's). If they had sucsessfully repeled the Ilusion Rahkshi's assault than they probably had some firepower.
IC: Matoran Patroll-Forest
The spear-matoran was looking around. "Looks like Lance isn't such a good tracker after all." one of the others teased.
"Lance" ignored him and began to patrol the area while the others waited, he soon returned. "They were here, there are tracks. But the ground is to hard right here."
"They may have flown off."
"Yes," 'Lance' responded, "but set a trap just in case."
The disk matoran began untangling a device that he had been carrying on his back while the others began to rummage in the bushes.
IC: Hoto - Malebranche
Hoto analyzed the echoes in vain for a moment before deciding to ask, "...what is..."
And then the smell of it hit her, and she grinned while resisting the urge to snap the food out of Jayar's hand. "What is it?" she asked excitedly.
IC: Malady (Gym)
I nod. "Let's do this then. You two got any ranged abilities?"
IC: Shield
Shield's mind was buzzing.
S-s-shield...that d-dream...w-w-was worrying.
Shield sat down, next to a rock. Thank karz I didn't kill that guy...like in that dream.
He reached for the back of his head. Blood was still flowing. He needed help, very soon.
He began to stagger back the way he came, towards the warehouse.
IC: Jayar / Malebranche
"Just some chocolates and cookies and such..." Jayar informed her, grinning broadly, as he held out the improvised bundle of treats for her to take.
IC--Footwork--Gym
"Right," Footwork replied. Then he continued, bringing his voice back up closer to its normal volume. "I really think we're going to need better weapons, though. I'm sure there's something in there we can use." He turned and began walking unhurriedly but purposefully toward the armory, trusting Snap to follow.
IC--Nyarl--Causeway
That seemed to be that. Nothing new was happening here, the remaining students were just milling around and staring at the body like a herd of Mukau. Nyarl turned and slunk toward the entrance to the school.
IC--Kaboom--Infirmary
Kaboom was more-or-less healed up, but he was still weak, and lost in thought besides. He took to fiddling with the knobs on the hilt of his chute blade, which seemed to change its density. That could be handy (and he offhandedly wondered why he hadn't noticed it before), but it wouldn't be enough if that bony nutcase decided to come after him again. He sat, uncharacteristically silent, and continued turning the problem over and over in his mind.
IC: Shield
His whole body began to ache.
It would be so easy just to curl up and sleep.
Just curl up, and it would all be over.
Sleep..................NO
A sudden burst of speed and adrenaline came into Shield, and he made a run for the warehouse, the doors getting closer, and closer.
But then he slipped.
And everything went black.
IC Doubt
"murderer!"
Upon heaing the word, Doubt switched out of flight mode and began to run. Hopefully the foliage would make him less noticeable. Can't we just head back...
IC Xi
Swerving into the library, Xi landed with a thud. Interesting... Books, books everywhere... Bookworms, too, it seemed...
IC: Hoto - Malebranche
She tried to show some semblance of control. She really did.
But with all those tantalizing smells lingering just within arm's reach, she couldn't help herself. Two tentative fingers came up to snatch just one piece of candy, only to come back with a handful which was promptly and gracelessly shoved into her mouth. Hoto chewed fiercely, humming with delight, and then started cleaning the excess crumbs and smears of chocolate from her hands and face before remembering to be grateful. She swallowed slowly, already mourning the loss of so many incredible flavors, and muttered a weak, "Thanks," with a sincere, albeit embarrassed, smile.
IC: The horserahkDeath silently cursed at War and Ezec. War was an idiot and he so happened to pick a fight with a bigger idiot.
War died. In his mind. The searing pain of his arm and the loss of blood from the harpoon started to take effect.
Famine got up and grabbed his lasso, finally getting it unstuck.
Pestilence hissed, waiting for the next move.
IC God Twins:
Aza twirled the poisoned knife in her fingers, "Tell me, what part of this sounded like a good idea to you, Mortal?"
Ezec chuckled, stepping away from the broken War. Picking up his flail, he turned and looked at Death. "You would be wise to surrender now. Your.... comrade seems a little out of sorts."
IC Burn:
"Huh- Agggghhh!"
Call's hook blades landed true, digging deep into Burn's shoulders.
"What the karz is wrong with you?!"
IC Kat:
"....Alright.We'll do it, if neccesary."
I heard a scuffling from out side.
With a frown, I poked my head out.
"Shield!" I looked back."Xara, go find Hoto and Jayar!"
IC: Call - Nynrah
With practiced ease, Call pushed the swords forward, out, and back, dropping the bonds from Burn's shoulders to his wrists, then pulling them back to potentially painful angles. "You were a part of the assault on that Matoran village," Call snapped. "I bet you think it's fun, torturing innocent villagers! Well, let's see how you like it!"
IC: Helkyrie
Location: Forest
Helkyrie felt uneasy waiting in the treeline like this, but she knew it was the only real choice.
IC: Jayar / Malebranche
"You're most welcome," Jayar assured her, holding a chuckle back behind an increasingly amused grin. "I'm just glad you enjoyed it."
* * *
IC: Thurisaz / Halls
"Sounds marvelous," Thurisaz assured Aerahk. "And yet that's only the beginning, I bet! Lucky for us we have you to show us everything."
IC: Matoran Patrol-Forest
The Matoran set up the trap than covered it with leaves. They took one last look around before heading back into the forest.
IC: Revenge-Forest
After waiting a while Revenge said, "Ok, I think it's safe now." then he began to climb down the tree.
IC: The Horserahk
Pestilence hissed. He smiled then said: "The fun part will be teaching you humility."
Famine had recovered from the poison and could now see clearly. As Aza made the mistake of leaving her gaurd down by talking to Pestilence, he took his energy draining rope that he got unstuck in a previous post and quickly attempted to choke her from behind.
Death said to Ezec: "Why should I surrender? To boost your ego?"
The only way to beat Ezec with what he had was to tire him out... How was the problem.
IC: Edge
Edge flew out of the cauldron and settled down on the island.
He found some peat, luckily so he took out his lab. He wound up the generator and the machine sprung to life noisily scaring away the nearby rahi. He took the scrap metal and used it to repair some portions of his lab. Then oil started leaking out, and he was quick to cover it up. He placed a tube under the spout and waited it to slowly fill up. He then took the peat, and began its conversion to gunpowder. He made enough for a smoke bomb. He gathered more peat packed up the lab and proceeded to fly to the mainland.
OOC: He has 2 vials of water, 1 vial of oil, 1 smoke bomb.
IC Spindle
La, lalalalalalala, la la...
Spindle dropped out of flight mode without warning, the cloth dropping towards Ezec's head with grace, as Spindle crashed into the wall.
IC God Twins:
Famine's mistake was assuming Aza was defenseless. His second mistake was trying to choke a rahkshi from behind. The reach required allowed Aza to slip the knife In between her and the rope, cutting it cleanly in two, before flipping it around and stabbing backwards at Famine.
Ezec, meanwhile, scoffed. "Hardly, I just thought perhaps you'd prefer not to suffer the same fate as that one over there..." Some technicolor piece of fabric fell over the White God, which was promptly torn to shreds by his claws.
"So. What shall it be?"
IC: Shark / Gym
"I possess a laser," Shark specified, in response to Malady's inquiry. "I suspect ranged attack will be less persuasive than close combat, though." Really, the laser was pretty meek compared to what Shark could do with his other weapons.
IC: Sliver - Gym.
"You two going somewhere?" I spat, landing before the duo. "Perhaps scared of what will happen to you if everyone finds out your true nature as assassins?"
IC Kat:
"Xara, go find Hoto and Jayar!"
IC: Xara - Warehouse.
"That's the blind dodge rahk and the scrawny quick healer, right?" I asked, not having really taken the time to learn everyone's names, "What about that other blind rahkshi? The sonics one?"
IC Kat:
"Yes! Get them! Go! We have wounded!" I hooked my hands under Shield's arms, pulling him into the warehouse.
IC: Xara - Warehouse.
"Um... okay..." I started to head out the door, still trying to figure out where the karz to look first.
IC: Shield
Shield's face was pretty messed up, with scratches and gashes all over it. He looked pretty bad.
On the inside, he was even worse.
IC Kat:
I frowned, looking over his wounds. It looked pretty serious, but I had to do what little I knew.
"Okay.... Head wounds, possible internal trauma...... Um...."My hands clenched and unclenched. "Let's see.....Bleeding, gotta stop the bleeding." Shakily, I curled my fingers under the headplate, pulling it back.
"Oh.... kid, you are a mess..... What, did you let a kane-ra play kohlii with you....?"
"Cao! I need something to soak up blood, stop the flow!"
IC Burn:
Aggggghhhhh
"I didn't torture no one, you crazy Brakas!"
IC: Sliver - Gym.
"You two going somewhere?" I spat, landing before the duo. "Perhaps scared of what will happen to you if everyone finds out your true nature as assassins?"
IC: Snap [Gym]
Snap nearly jumped right back into the spike-pit at Sliver's approach, and soon she honestly wished she had, as she struggled to find words to say,
"We.... weren't going anywhere, anywhere but the armory anyway." She hesitantly spoke "I.... was going to look for- -a polearm! Because my swords can't reach and, I don't want any assassins getting close enough to touch me, right?"
she honestly wouldn't believe herself here, as it is she couldn't even use a polearm!
IC: Sliver - Gym.
I knew a lie when I heard one, especially when it was this poorly-contrived. "Got something to hide, have you?"
IC (As Swordplay): "I'll have to come back here and find something good to read, I want to see the rest of the school first."
IC: Hoto - Malebranche
Hoto grinned at him for a moment before eagerly turning back to the last remnants of the snack. Even after all the visible crumbs were long gone, she licked at her fingers, hoping for one last taste of that Artahka, since she couldn't see it for herself.
Only after it was all gone did she begin to feel guilty. "Did you... save any for the others?" she asked fearfully.
IC: Call - Nynrah
"And I suppose I imagined you walking away from the ruins of that village, covered in battle scars," Call snarled as he mercilessly wrenched back on the swords, driving Burn's arms into an even more painful position. "How many Matoran did you kill before they turned you back?"
IC Burn:
"I- Agggh!- I got hit by the first one, and then when I tried to leave, some other ones found me! I had no choice!"
Tears streamed down Burn's scorched face, leaving little clean trails.
IC: The Horserahk - Gym
The attempted choke and knife gave Pestilence enough time to fire a volley of three arrows straight at Aza's chest head and abdomen and they were already sent. This and the fact that they were barely 2 meters apart made it unlikely he would miss.
Famine dodged to the right, and attempted to grab both of Aza's arms, restraining her enough for the arrows to hit her.
Death told Ezec, "I'm not the same as my idiot brother who runs into fights. I make plans. And this plan involves, not dying painfully."
War slowly bled more from the harpoon wound and his crushed arm. Soon he would be dead from blood loss.
IC: Edge - Gym
Edge was eager to try out his new smoke bomb. If it succeeded, he would make more with the extra supplies He flew to Corpus Rahkshi and was planning on testing it in the gym.
Upon walking in he saw some brutes fighting.
"Uncivilized karzheads! Natural selection is clearly not doing it's job." he shouted at the God Twins and the Horserahk. He noticed one rahkshi on the floor dying. He could attend to him later, but science before lives. Without anybody looking, he opened up his lab, and powered the generator and the machines noisily sprung to life. He used the Bunsen burner to light up the fuse on the smoke bomb and threw it into the gym, straight into the assignment area. The moment the glass vial shattered (which he realized he would need to get more vials) smoke began pouring out and filling the area, hopefully causing panic to the inhabitants. It was a success! He then changed his attention to the bleeding rahk. He proceeded to sneak up to War, dragging his near dead body to his lab with a clear trail of visible blood.
"Letz proceed with the operation shall we?" he said with a mad smile as he pulled out a scalpel and some bandages.
IC: Pyre - Infirmary
Pyre lay down the bleeding matoran on a bed. It would live, wouldn't it? Surely Palma could take care of it.
IC God Twins:
Aza tore her hands free, staggering forward, the arrows bouncing off her armor. It is a little known fact that with each arrow strung on a single bowstring, not only is it near impossible to actually aim them, but each arrow strung cuts the force in half. So being with three arrows, Pestilence's arrows each had only a fourth of the normal power. Not nearly enough to do damage.
Aza, meanwhile, flung the knife at Pestilence with one fluid motion that brought her hand up to her bow, spinning, and drawing a single long, black arrow back, firing at Famine.
Ezec, meanwhile, simply shrugged, "Take your friend, then." He stomped off towards Aza. Gods though they were, Aza had never been terribly suited to close combat.
IC--Footwork--Gym
Footwork's mind raced, searching for some way out, but there was really no way to convince this paranoid brakas that they weren't what she thought they were. At least one of them could probably get out safely, though, if the other distracted their assailant.
He paused for a moment, reflecting on how far he was sticking his neck out for a girl he barely knew, and how much this was probably going to hurt. Then he stepped between the two women, his hands clasped loosely behind his back. "The only thing we're hiding is our amazement at your all-consuming idiocy, you fat-headed mongrel!" he spat. His back was to Snap as he spoke, so only she could see him gesturing toward the armory door. Hopefully she would get the message.
IC: Sliver - Gym.
Eyes twitching with anger, I quickly took stock of the situation. Hands behind his back - possibly reaching for a weapon. Childish insults - trying to make me mad. Stepping between me and the other rahk - an attempt to make me focus solely on him.
Clearly, this was a distraction.
In the split second it took for my mind to process that information, my eyes had flickered up to meet his gaze. "Get out of my way." A blast of cyclonic energy rippled from my armour as I spoke, a powerful burst of air directed near point-blank at the idiot's chest.
OOC: Last post for today.
IC: The Horserahk
Pestilence let the knife fly over him as he ducked. He proceeded to shoot a poisoned arrow directly into the kraata case as Aza turned around.
Famine took a point blank arrow to the shoulder. He hissed and painfully pulled it out. He then attempted to drive the blood tipped arrow into Aza's chest.
Death flew between Ezec and Aza
"Don't run from a fight."
He then used his level 2 kraata abilities to create a field of darkness around him, which was enough to engulf only him and Ezec.
IC: Edge
Edge used the scapel and cut into War's wound. He found a piece of shrapnel that was causing the bleeding and removed it. He patched the wound with some quick and messy stitches and covered it with some bandages to stop the bleeding.
"Ze blood. It's glorious. You have so much of it yet you waste it! Seeing that you are still asleep I'm sure you wouldn't mind if I experimented on you?"
No response.
He looked at War's face. Clearly what got him in trouble was fighting. And if he was blind he couldn't fight. He'd surely thank him for this.
"You won't be needing this," Edge said as he cut off one of War's eyes. An eyeball to keep, just in case he needed one for himself. He stored it inside one of his water vials which would be temporary.
With that he covered the now half blind War's face with a bandage and packed up. He gazed at his smoke bomb, which begun to wear off. Seeing it's success, he would need to get more.
OOC: Edge has - One water vial - One water vial with War's eye in it - One oil vial
IC Doubt
"STOP!!!"
Doubt caused a tree to give off a sickening crack as he struck it, green eyes fixed on Call. "Drop him now!"
IC: Snap [Gym]
She caught Footwork's gesture, and understood well enough, hand kept close to the shield on her back, Snap started up again towards the armory. this was the rahk who was threatening to break just about everyone's legs, she wasn't going to take any chances.
I just hope he'll be okay, she thought with a frown,
but before she had taken too many steps, Sliver released the cyclone blast.
IC--Footwork--Gym
The blast of wind caught Footwork and sent him tumbling backwards. Frantically, he extended both blades and dug them into the gym floor. "But I'm not finished!" he roared, scrambling unsteadily to his feet. "What sort of perverse experiments did your Makuta perform on you to spawn such a blithering moron? Or is he just as stupid as you?"
IC--Shrapnel--Gym
Shrapnel leapt backwards as something darted through the air with a deadly metallic glint. One buried itself in the floor, the other managed to gouge her foot before skittering off the reinforced armor.
This was an untenable situation. He was better armed, murderously angry, and there was no way for her to turn the surroundings to her advantage with Icarax having forbidden it. Gritting her teeth, she turned before the Lerahk could get off another shot and raced for the armory.
IC: Toxin/Gym
I could destroy her right now! It would be so easy...
...easy compared to fighting Illusive.
I shrugged off those thoughts. Back then, that was sparring. This is actual fighting.
I took to trying to jump and slamming her down to the ground with a kick.
