IC: Kitsune, Ga-Koro"I wasn't talking about Iris." Kitsune said, staring at him with sad, understanding eyes. "You don't have to think you are the only person who has every felt or caused pain, Jikal. I've done both, and it was a terrible thing to do, but I've promised myself that I wouldn't do it. What else can you do? Kill yourself? That only causes more pain and more sadness. It takes more will and resolve to keep living and helping people than it does to jump off of a cliff."IC: JikalJikal was quiet for a long time, though it probably seemed longer than it actually was. The smile dropped from his face, killed faster than the Matoran at Iris' hands."Kitsune, the slate isn't clean. It's dripping red." His eyes clouded over with guilt, as he remembered the things he had done. "Iris did a lot of things.""But I'm not innocent either."
IC: Raion, Ga-KoroA stride. Another one. A third. Raion pursued Tawara almost leisurely, drawing his sword slowly, scratching its edge against the lacquered wooden scabbard. As he did this with his right hand, he placed his Kanohi back onto his face with his left, and then, in a single, fluid motion, drew one of his hatchets from belt, spinning it in the air before gripping it near the head. His face was not contorted in a manical smile, neither was he laughing insanely; He was the picture of calmness as he followed her outisde, his eyes observant and his neck muscules tense and visible.IC: Tawara (Ga-Koro)Tawara bolted, running down the hall and pushing her way through the commons. The Matoran flung open the door and fled into the street. How could she have been so stupid? Raion had admitted to psychopathy without a second's hesitation, and Tawara had been fool enough to doubt the veracity of his claim. She had known he was evil and forced herself to believe that he was joking or not as bad as he seemed, all out of some misguided hope that she had actually found a way to survive this karzhole. But there was no way. Now she was going to die, either by Raion's hand or by some random criminal's.Tawara drew her knife.OOC: 'Twould be a good time for a Jikal landing about now, Krayzikk.
IC: Jikal"That wasn't something I was going to even contemplate, not now that my life is finally starting to fix itself." Jikal sighed, closing his eyes for a moment. "DId I consider it, back when Iris was still around? Yes. If only to rid the world of one more killer."He took a deep breath. "There's a lot of things I've done. Some of them intentional, some not. And even more things that I allowed to happen, or could have fought harder to prevent.""Maybe I'm not a bad person. But I'm not a good one, either."
IC: Kitsune, Ga-Koro"There's no such thing as a good or bad person." Kitsune said in response, hugging Jikal tighter. "There are those who are loved; and those who are not. Every action has an equal reaction. Those who are loved love, those who are not loved hate." That said, she looked up at him, her smile returning but her eyes still slightly sad.OOC: Kitsune's entire philosophy, right there.
OOC: Assuming direct timeskip.IC: Auron:The Toa of fire looked a little more tired than yesterday, in fact, he looked more bedragged and weary than when he first arrived on the island. Much more so. It looked like he hadn't activated a rest cycle in... Years. He hadn't. Is it killing him? Probably. When they got north, he'd probably had to activate the longest rest cycle of his existance. Great. Holstering his sword on his back again, he exited his room and knocked on Aelynn's door."Wakey, wakey! We need to get a map and continue heading north!"
IC: JikalJikal was quiet for a long minute. He wanted to believe Kitsune, he wanted so desperately to believe that was the case. That he could be absolved of blame so easily. But he couldn't. "We don't need to worry about this now." He smiled. "Let's not worry about it. Let's just focus on having fun, on celebrating our good fortune."
OOC: Alrighty.
IC: AelynnThe Toa of Iron was laying in her bed, her eyes open and staring up at a simple metal sphere. The fist-sized ball was floating a half-meter above her head, held aloft by her elemental power. The silver-armored Toa was practicing the use of her power, as Onyx had told her to all that time ago. Aelynn had been awake for a while, her eyes opening once the suns rose above the horizon. She didn't sleep well anymore. Sleep only brought dreams, which brought memories of things she didn't want to remember. Thankfully, her thoughts were inturrupted by a knock on the door, and a familar voice come from the other side, Aelynn didn't have to use her Kanohi to know who it was. Him."One second!" the Fe-Toa said, rolling out of bed, "I'm coming..." Aelynn absorbed the sphere back into herself, and quickly reattached the armor plates she had taken off, before opening the door. "Okay," she said, "ready."
OOC: Hau Karda remnants from Kumu Islets.IC: ZealokanHe stepped of the ferry and set off at a brisk pace to the hospital. 'Mata Nui, this village is massive. This'll take forever.'IC: Payiges'So, let me get this straight. I'm on an island named after the Great Spirit, in some random village hospital, and someone brought me in here, only to leave a few minutes later?''Pretty much. You were in pretty bad shape, heart rate and breathing all over the place.' The nurse lay a hand on Payiges' shoulder. 'Don't worry, you're fine now.'She shivered, and hugged herself tightly. 'Bleedin' heck, it's cold. You got a jacket or something?''All we have are these robes. Feel free to take them, they were left lying around by someone.''Thanks for that. And everything.'The nurse smiled and nodded, as Payiges put on the robes and pulled up the hood, walking out of the hospital and in the general direction of Onu-Wahi.Meanwhile, a certain Silver Toa passed her as she exited, striding right up to the reception desk.'Hi, my friend is in here, have you seen her?'OOC: Payiges to Onu-Wahi.------------------------------------------IC: Reaver'Actually, I picked you,' she muttered as she slowly woke up. 'You were very confused. You look so pretty when you're confused.' She chuckled, then realised how insanely comfortable the bed was. Reaver curled up, smiled, and closed her eyes again.'This is my bed now. I'll fight anyone who says otherwise.'
OOC: somehow the emoticon you used makes me a bit nervous D: (amd sorry for the delay, again ._.)IC: ZyronThe sudden appearance of the Toa in front of them made Zyron nervous, and before he realized it his hand slowly wandered to his bag where he always kept a small knife. But no, that would not be a good idea. Fighting a Toa? Bad idea.Something about the Toa's question irked him. The 'in a while'. Wondering what this was all about, he decided to wait and see what would happen.OOC: Since she's there, and no longer part of the MB plot, I may as well bring Nikki into this...IC: Nikarra & MykaA flicker of lightning illuminated the tunnel in front of Zyron and Myka. "Well, look who it is. We haven't spoken in a while."Myka raised an eyebrow, looking curiously at the suspicious Toa who stood before her. "Excuse me? Could you get out of the way?"
OOC: No problem.
(and don't worry, that's just my 'scheming' emote)IC: Myka & NikarraNikarra looked thoughtfully at Myka for a few moments, and then smiled slightly. "Picture me, but considerably smaller."Myka's eyes widened. "Nikarra? What are you doing here?""I could ask you the same thing," Nikarra pointed out. "I'm here because I was headed to Onu-Koro to find my brother, and his friend."
IC: Emotia - Casa Juturna, Ga-Wahi -Emotia promptly sat on top of Reaver. "You make a great cushion."
IC: Auron:The Toa of Fire nodded before striding outside, taking in the fresh air.
IC: Kitsune, Ga-Koro"Agreed." Kitsune said with a smile of relief. "So, do you have any place of celebration in mind?"
IC: Jikal"I don't know. Maybe get some food, head out to the beach? Bring some wine maybe, since I can actually drink again."
OOC: Kohra from Ta-Wahi.IC:If the guards do not see you, they can not match a description to your face. Kohra thought. Darkness had fallen over Mata-Nui once again and a lolw ceiling of clouds obscured the light of the moon, its pale light stopped by a thick blanket and leaving the land below pitch-black to untrained eyes. Not hers though. Night. Her favourite time. Where she could move freely, without the protection of her cloak. Right now, the thin but tightly woven piece of clothing rested in her satchel, neatly folded. The timing of her arrival at the village of water could not have been better. On the way down from the root of the mountains, she had went over her entry-strategy in to Ga-Koro multiple times. Of course, the village had not yet had the 'pleasure' of accomodating her, so she could have just walked in through the main-gate without a hassle. But the Ga-Matoran, for all their kind and peace-loving nature, both chracteristic Kohra had no love for whatsoever, were firecly protective of their homeland, especially the Marines. And the Vortixx did not wish to face off against them. And considering what she planned, that was something she had to keep in mind. And so, she did not take the easy route. Even if it had worked, there would have been questions, the guards would have seen her face and if by chance a witness would appear, they would not be able to match their description to somebody they'd seen before.Safely out of the soft glow of the lightstones marking the path to the village at night, and the eyes of the guards on duty, Kohra quietly walked down towards the waters edge. With all her belongings stowed safely in her leather-satchel hanging off her side and that sealed, she waded out into the waves, the cool water washing around her ankles, then her legs, until she was submerged up to her chest. With slow and controlled strokes, she began to swim out into Naho-bay. Keeping the village to her right shoulder, she began to keep an eye out for a secluded spot and soon found one. The owners of one of the northern huts of the village were either away or had gone to sleep already.Taking a deep breath, Kohra let herself sink down a little and dove towards the floating pad. When she reached it, she slowly resurfaced, surveying the platform like a Crocodile, with only eyes and nose visible. Convinced that nobody was nearby, she placed her palms on the edge of the pad and hoisted herself out of the water. Drops of water ran from her hair and down the curves of her body as she stood up and reached into her bag once again. Her belongings had not become wet; and so she used her cloak as a towel, drying herself off before putting it back in the bag.A small smile crossed her lips, as she walked into the village and disappeared into the nightlife crowd of Ga-Koro.
OOC: Finally have some time to post.IC (Ketan)The Toa of air, Ta a step behind him, followed the Marines as they transported their captives away from the docks. One of the pirates, motionless, his neck unfortunately broken during the battle, was being carted on a stretcher; with a little work from the healers, he would be fine. The other two pirates had their hands bound behind their backs, and spears pressing on the smalls of their backs and on their throats. The Marines were taking no chances with these criminals: one wrong move, and they were dead. The pirates seemed to understand this (Ketan has half-surprised they had managed to get it through their thick skulls), and remained compliant, walking along quietly and without complaint. Before long, the company arrived at the Marine headquarters, which also housed the village's jail. The two pirates able to walk were escorted to their cells and placed under guard, their hands still tied. The Toa had his mask removed. The criminal with the broken neck was examined by a healer sent for from the hospital, and before long he was in better shape. His neck was still weak, and was wrapped up tightly to prevent undue stress, but he, too, was well enough to be placed in a cell under guard.Ketan and Ta met with the Marine commander in his office. The two Toa had accompanied the Marines throughout this process, their mere presence dissuading any shenanigans from breaking out. The pirates had regarded them with obvious dislike, but that was to be expected: they had just been trounced by the Arete, after all.The Commander bade both Toa to take a seat, and thanked them warmly. It was thanks to them, after all, that the village had not sustained a great deal of damage."Now," the Commander said. "I need your help in deciding what to do with these criminals.”Ketan smiled.***The criminals looked up as Ketan, Ta, and the Commander entered the holding room. The Marines had escorted them from their cells to this room, with no reasons given, no matter the questions as to why. One of the Toa was slightly drunk; the guards had confiscated his bottle, but he had downed enough beforehand to feel the effects. The Commander stood ramrod straight, hands clasped behind her back, her eyes boring into each of the would-be pirates in turn.“You have committed several crimes in our Koro,” she said calmly, no emotion clouding her voice. “Foremost among them are the crimes of piracy, assault, counterfeiting, and resisting arrest. Seeing as you have refused to abide by the laws of our village, the consequence is that you will no longer be welcome in Ga-Koro.”She stepped to the side, and Ketan and Ta stepped forward. Throughout this short speech, the Toa of air had been idly playing with a small trinket in one hand. He let it dangle now: a small metal anchor on a chain. His face looked pained, as though he had no choice but to do what came next.Ta was holding a box; he opened the lid to reveal a pile of glowing embers, red-hot. Donning a smith’s glove, Ketan slowly, gently, let the anchor drop into the miniature furnace. He held on to the chain, letting the anchor alone heat up.A minute passed. The pirates were sweating. These Toa were good, surely, but what was going to happen? How far would they go? The Toa Code forbade killing… but there were worse things than death. The Toa of air raised the chain. The anchor dangled at the end, now glowing reddish-orange. He turned to the criminals, who were kneeling on the floor, hands tied behind their backs. The two Toa had had their masks removed to prevent them from causing trouble; they were already low on elemental energy, but the removal of their Kanohi made escape nigh impossible.Taking the red-hot anchor in the hand protected by his smith’s glove, Ketan got down on one knee, and looked the first pirate in the eye.“In the name of Mata Nui, the Toa Arete, and Ga-Koro,” he said, his voice breaking on the word Koro. “I mark you as a pirate.”He pressed the anchor to the side of Sorapak’s neck. The Toa screamed, but Ketan had pressed his other hand to the side of the Toa’s head, and, without his mask, Sorapak was not strong enough to wrench free. Even if he had, one of the spears pointed at him would have caused him injury; the threat combined with Ketan’s strength kept him still even as he emptied his lungs in a tortured cry that went on and on and on, filling the room with an orchestra of agony held inside the single, trembling note echoing from his throat. At last, it ended. Sorapak ran out of breath, and the anguished noise fell into silence.Ketan pulled his hand away, and the pirate slumped to the floor, half-conscious. A vicious burn shone on his neck in the shape of an anchor. He was marked; someone could heal him, but even a Mask of Healing couldn’t remove a scar. The Toa of air repeated the process on the other two pirates; the results were the same. Both seemed determined not to give in to the pain, but they underestimated the agony that ensued. They, too, poured out their suffering in desperate screams, and they, too, slumped to the floor when it was down, hardly able to comprehend the absence of the pain they had just experienced.Ketan returned the anchor to the box, and surveyed his handiwork. His eyes shone with tears; causing pain had evidently hurt him just as much as it had hurt them. The Commander, too, looked somewhat saddened by the torture she had allowed, but she stood firm. The Marines were shocked, but remained on guard.A long silence followed. Finally, Ketan spoke, his voice husky with pain and weariness. “Bring a healer,” he said to one of the Marines. “What was required has been done; they don’t need to feel any more pain.”The guard nodded, and left the room. The Toa of air bowed his head in respect of the Commander, who nodded back, and followed the Marine out, Ta a step behind. The three would-be pirates had passed out in the middle of the room, forever branded as the criminals they had declared themselves to be.OOC: Sorapak, Bahokosar, and Jianzha have been branded as pirates and returned to their cells. The mark is on their necks, to the side of their jugular, and is about a square inch and a half in size. The burns have been healed by a medic, but a visible scar remains, which cannot be healed. Congratulations: you are officially pirates. Now prove yourselves worthy of that name and find a way to escape. TNG- I'm looking forward to seeing one of your four backup plans in action.
OOC: All right. But I will have to work at it, as I had been expecting slightly (very slightly, but enough to matter) less brutal treatment.IC: Sorapak would have made a crack about wanting to leave the Koro regardless, but the pain made it impossible. He twitched until he could sit upright. The guard was still there. No mask. Bahokosar had his mask, but his neck was broken."Aye..." A grunting, cracked voice said from the corner. "This be the truest form of scurvy fail." Bahokosar coughed, his voice little more than a hoarse whisper. It didn't even seem attached to his body.Without his mask, Sorapak's powers were weakened. He examined the cell.OOC: Well, I need a description of how the cell works. Specs, material, size, make, model, all that. Please note that Ga-Koro doesn't exactly have a load of stone and that stone would sink the lilypads if they used what little they had for this. (I know, boulders alone have torn apart the roads before my very computer screen, so to speak.)
IC: ReaverShe playfully pulled out one of her knives, and lazily pointed it at Emotia. 'I'm a pin cushion.' She nudged her friend off of her, flipping and twisting the dagger on her hand.'Mata Nui, I'm bored.'
Ic: KakaruKakaru stood in deliberation for several minutes, then replied as coherently as he could. "Butterflies."Velox and Viisi exchanged glances."What?" Velox asked. Viisi simply shrugged.Kakaru nodded as though mentally confirming his statement. "I've decided I like butterflies. They're not really constrained by anyone or anything, and they fly around until someone steps on them and they die. I've decided to settle down back here in Ga-Wahi, then you show up at random and decide that we're going on an adventure, and we've done nothing but stand around staring awkwardly into space like we're expecting the other guy to move." He shrugged. "If you want to join me again at a later date, feel free. But I think I'm going to find some mercenary work. You know, like I used to do."And with that, Kakaru adjusted his mask, picked up his fishing pole, and disappeared into the trees.
IC: Kitsune, Ga-Koro"That sounds lovely," Kitsune agreed, smiling at the thought. "Unless things have changed in the past few years, there should be a rather lovely bakery around there, if you want something sweet, and I believe there's a stand that deals with roasted skewers of meat and vegetables down that street, if you want some of that." Kitsune said, revealing her knowledge of the City of Water.OOC: From Ta-Wahi.IC: Jilsud & Vinathli, Ga-KoroA black and purple Toa of Gravity, as graceful, beautiful, and subtly terrifying as a panther stalking its prey, softly landed on the lily-pad that Kohra had, a few hours ago, been standing and drying off on. An emotionless mask, less revealing than her Venetian mask shaped Kanohi, her face betrayed nothing as she silently, slowly, searched every inch of the pad. Jilsud stood in the streets of Ga-Koro, distracting the Ga-Matoran owner of the hut in the form of vigorous chatting. The bewildered Matoran of Water listened with disturbed intreset as the insane Vortixx spoke to her, giving his partner in crime precious time to search her hut.
IC: AelynnThe Toa of Iron followed, her lightly armored feet barely making a noise as she stepped across the wooden floor. As soon as she stepped outside, the suns' light made her feel positive already. It was a nice day.IC: Embok [Ga-Koro]After a bit of waiting, and after having a few discussions with a few Marines who had stayed behind, the Toa of Plasma decided it was time for him to properly meet these "Toa Arete" as they called themselves. Starting away from the docks at a casual pace, Embok managed to find out where they had taken the pirates from a few Matoran along the way. Almost all along the way welcomed him home, and expressed their happiness at his return. The yellow-armored elementalist accepted it with a few kind words and thanks. There were too few Toa who nowadays. Too few who weren't motivated by greed or dark pleasures. Too few who still followed in the footsteps of the Toa Mata, followed the Code, and protected those who could not protect themselves. Too few.The lily-pads bending under his weight, and the suns at his back, Embok continued on through the Koro of Water. His destination was the Marine's headquarters, where the jail was located and where the Matoran told Embok where the Toa Arete had taken the pirates. The wood-and-leaf structure was one of the largest in the village, serving as the offices, barracks, training ground, and jail for the Marines. Nodding to a few Ga-Matoran who had waved happily to him, Embok stepped through the door and into the headquarters. There he waited for the Toa Arete to finish with the pirates, taking a seat on the floor and crossing his legs. The elementalist closed his eyes and focused, an updraft created by his control over heat causing him to hover a meter above the ground. Some might say it was a waste of his elemental power, but Embok found that the most effective way to meditate was to remove all sensations. It was his ritual, used to calm the burning emotions that came with being one of Plasma.
IC: Jikal"And if I remember correctly, there is a terrific wine shop nearby." The Toa if Lightning landed with a grin. "Now. I'll need you to direct me where I need to go."
IC (Ketan)The pirates had been taken back to their cells, which were housed in the Ga-Koran jail. This prison was built of the same tough, fibrous plant material that most of the Koro was built out of and on. The problem was that any Toa at all could readily find a way to escape if he tried, which was why each individual cell, about six by eight feet, was constructed of a lightweight but strong metal. The jail was always populated with at least as many Marines as there were prisoners, allowing a sharp eye to be kept out for any suspicious activity. Contrary to popular belief, all Marines were not Ga-Matoran: there were Matoran and even Toa of other elements scattered throughout their ranks. Breaking out would be more difficult when there were Toa Toa on the watch.A medic had been sent for the prisoners; a Toa of air with a Mask of Healing had soothed the ugly burns on their necks. The scarlet swelling was mostly gone, but a stark scar in the shape of an anchor remained burnt into their flesh. Bahokosar's neck bandages had been replaced, and his injury tended to; he was doing fine, and could move around without pain, though high-intensity activites would probably be off the radar for awhile. As it was, the would-be pirates were in little pain now; aside from some residual soreness at the burn site, they were fine.Ketan had accompanied the prisoners to their cells, and overseen the healing. The Marines treated him with respect, allowing him to watch and provide potential backup, but remained in charge. Though they respected him, and treated him quite like one of their own, he was still technically a civilian. The Toa of air was fine with that. All in good time. Before leaving, he visited the mess hall, which was really little more than a small kitchen and a room with a single table to eat on. Opening the two jugs of water in the middle of the table, the Toa of air emptied half a small pouch of powder into each before replacing the containers. He allowed himself a small smile as he left, but nothing more. That powder was the dried and ground up remains of several plants; foremost among these were the Makuta Fern and Viper's Breath. The toxins released from these plants could incapacitate someone almost immediately when inhaled; consuming them would have the same effect, but it would take longer to happen. The dinner hour was near; a few hours after the guards had eaten, perhaps just after sundown, depending on the quantity they quaffed, they would quietly fall asleep.Hopefully these "pirates" could take it from there.
IC: SahreaWithout another word, I walked into the bar. It was loud, smelly, and dimly lit. Not something you'd expect to see in Ga-Koro.
IC: [Hubertus]"These guys aren't very hygienic," I remarked, trying to ignore the smell.
IC: "It's getting late. People are starting to eat.""Aye," croaked Bahokosar, "there be others comin' on their shifts." He rubbed his neck, then howled in pain. "Karz it and curse her fer' breathin', that vile woman!" He observed the iron bars. "Stone walls do not a prison make..." he lowered his voice to a whisper, though it was near enough one already. "...nor iron bars a cage." He slumped back in the corner. "In time, a'course.""True enough." Sorapak took a swig of rum, watching the guard leave for dinner hour out the corner of his eye. "They can take my mask, my sword, and my dignity...but my rum stays safe. Glad to have that much, eh?""Aye...sword." Bahokosar fixed the broken blade and watched. "Wait until they be...settled down a bit." He deviously chuckled, but it devolved into a dry cough."You're a bit dry." Sorapak, slightly woozy, let Bahokosar take a drink for his throat. "There we go. Hmm..." Used to the dizziness, as it almost always affected him anyways, mask or not, Sorapak put the rum back on his waist. Having no mask was just like having 3 bottles of rum with a mask, a feat he had accomplished once or twice before. Not that it helped much, but he was a bit more used to drunk activity."Hmm..." Bahokosar slowly began to erode away the bars. "There be extra guards on shifts approachin' sooner or later. Give 'em yer best."Sorapak took a feel for plants in the area. Roads of leaf ran from the normal areas to the prison. He had to locate them. "Hmm..mm...rumwigglecuttlefish..." He flailed his arms a bit and sniffed. "Oh. There."He weakened each one in the middle, while strengthening the rest to keep it rigid. Therefore, rather than expending energy, he was only transferring it. "There. The roads are wide enough for a few to get in at once. That will give them a bit of a shock, but we need perfect timing."The iron bars ever so slowly developed cracks under Bahokosar's control, so as not to attract attention. He was slowly absorbing the iron so as not to lose energy. "Then when we hear the splash, we make a run for it." "Not without my effects..." The mask, he knew it well. He closed his eyes, swinging his arms slowly and awkwardly while sniffing. He attempted to sense its shape in a depression on a plant.OOC: Is the mask in the prison, on plant, on metal, or in the hands of a being?
IC: Sahrea"Nope," I agreed, holding my breath as much as possible. "So, how do you want to go about doing this? Get a few drinks first or just starting right now?"
OOC: You decide. ; )IC (Ketan)The toa of air walled through the village. The sun was going down, and the first of the stars had appeared on the eastern horizon. The sky was lit up in pink and orange; painted clouds were reflected in the vast, still ocean.OOC: Frost Dragon, if you want to have Embok run into Ketan, that would be fine with me.
IC: [Hubertus]I grinned, before turning to the assembled group of bar-goers in the room."Hello everyone! Today we will be learning the letter 'W'. 'W' for 'Wash yourselves everyday you unhygienic morons!"The reaction was instantaneous.
OOC: Alrighty.IC: EmbokThe sound of armored boots striking the ground alerted the silver-armored Toa that he was being followed, and Embok said from behind the Toa of Air, "Excuse me, but moment, please?"The elementalist had just missed Ketan as the Le-Toa had exited the Marine headquarters, having been a bit too focused on his meditation to notice. Once he realised the Toa had left, Embok quickly moved to catch up with him.IC: Sahrea"Oh Karz," I said to myself as over two dozen weapons were drawn. Okay, that's cool, just gotta...."And by the way, he told us to say it," I added to Hubertus' comment, pointing towards a Skakdi holding a sword as big as I was. The effect of that was also instantaneous. It seemed like to me it would take a leaf hitting the ground to start a fight in here now.
IC: [Hubertus]"Also," I said slowly, smiling. "HEY LOOK! THERE'S A DISTRACTION!"I quickly dived to the floor as chaos erupted around us.
IC: SahreaI dived down next to the Vortixx as a knife sailed over my head. "You know," I said, rolling out of the way of a sword, "That was actually pretty smart for someone as annoying as you."I caught a randomly thrown dagger on one of my blades, and pushed the weapon aside. Pure chaos was really fun.
IC: [Hubertus]"Thank you," I replied cheerfully, ignoring the chaos near me.
IC: SahreaI crawled away from an unconscious Toa, and asked, "Yeah... Now how do we get out of here?"That seemed to be getting a bit harder by the minute, as more and more weapons were being drawn, thrown, and used. Perhaps eventually they'll end up just killing eachother... But I really didn't want to wait around for that.
IC: [Hubertus]"Simple my dear," I said in a faux-posh accent, "we run for the door."
Ic: KakaruOh my Mata Nui, not another bar. Kakaru mentally conjured a picture of the last time he walked into a bar in Po-Wahi nearly six months ago and groaned. He wondered if they had fixed the walls yet. Or the roof.Undeterred, he set his mind to stride into the bar with all the confidence of a mercenary ready for work, and not as one who had been lazing about Ga-Koro for the last few months. He tossed his fishing pole aside and unsheathed his broadsword. He took a deep breath and promptly had it knocked out of him by a greyish-maroon vortixx who practically launched himself through the door in an attempt to leave.
IC: Sahrea"You know, you were beginning to get a bit smart," I muttered under my breath at Hubertus promply slammed into a dark green-armoed Toa as the Vortixx was acting out his plan. Genius is going to get himself killed, I though, noticing the Toa's drawn broadsword. That generally wasn't a good sign/I stood up, ducked under a wild sword swing, and made towards the door. After dodging numerous bladed weapons, I finally made it, and hauled Hubertus onto his feet. "Sorry 'bout that," I said to the broadsword-holding Toa.
IC: [Hubertus]"Totally not my fault," I said cheerily.
Ic: KakaruKakaru picked himself back up and adjusted his mask. Noticing the Skakdi eyeing his sword, he shrugged and sheathed it. "My name's Kakaru, mercenary for hire." He didn't offer a hand to shake. "I specialise in thievery. I'm not partial to murder so don't ask."Kakaru glanced about. "Anything? No?"
IC: [Hubertus]A dagger promptly flew into the wall next to me."Oh right," I said, "we gotta run."
IC: SahreaI felt a bit better with the Toa's sword out of sight. "Right, it might be bet-"I stopped as I heard the sound of a blade cutting through the air behind me. Spinning around, I caught the weapon on my blade, pushed it away, and pushed the large Skakdi away with a kick to his stomach. "As I was saying, it might be better for you to go somewhere else offering your services," I said to the Toa. I added, after a moment's consideration "Yeah... Gotta go!"
