IC: Vyper - Gym.
"I was standing on the karzing ceiling, minding my own karzing business..." I stormed towards the fallen rahk, keeping a watchful eye on my surroundings all the same, "...and you decided to open fire on me, accuse me of being an assassin, without cause or justification. You really thought there wouldn't be consequences for that?"
I focused my powers on the knives, ripping them free and drawing them back towards my outstretched hand, "You got off lucky, this time."
IC (As Ipartsa): "Forget about it, you got your revenge already." The rahkshi growled as she writhed in pain.
IC: Jayar / Malebranche (Fourth Tier Warehouse)
Jayar wasted little time in snatching up his comrades' hands. "Snake, take Shield's other hand," he instructed. "Then we just... focus on unity..." He'd have liked to say something less vague, but that was already about as specific instruction as seemed to exist, or be required.
IC--Kaboom--Halls
"Well...it depends. Most of them are alright, but then you get the occasional whackjob. Just earlier today I ran into this freak who went around covered in bones, and straight-up told me he was gonna hack one of my arms off." He shrugged. "He's an extreme case, of course, but it's a good idea to have a few people you know you can trust, in case your back needs watching."
IC: Augustus | Halls
Augustus raised an eyebrow. "Well, that doesn't sound normal at all...." Kaboom made some sense though; Augustus would need a friend or two to help him through this school. Like the saying went, no Rahkshi was an island! "Anybody particularly dangerous I should watch out for?"
IC: Vyper - Gym.
"Well, I guess while we're here we ought to settle the other question that's been on my mind," I drew my staff, blades poised to strike, "I can only think of two reasons for why you've been going about accusing and attacking people without cause. Either you're stupid enough to think provoking people is a good idea, or you're trying to cover up the fact that you're an assassin."
I stepped a little closer, ready to drive my staff into the rahk's already-mangled back if they tried to attack me. "So which is it?"
IC: Shark / Gym
Well that had been easier than anticipated. Now time to move on...
His next quarry was Shock, lurking alone in a corner. Not overly suspicious behavior, more bored or cowardly, but you never knew. And taking him out could be said to send the further message that there was no safety in seclusion for the assassins.
So he approached the corner in which Shock lurked, weapons at the ready, and informed him systematically, "You have been selected as a potential assassin. Thus you have two options: make your way to the elimination pit voluntarily (and remain fully intact), or be forcefully dispatched."
IC (As Ipartsa): "Before I get thrown into the pit, I'll pick the former if it spares me the trouble."
IC: Canvas - Hallways
The first Rahkshi Canvas came across was painted all in white, a rather boring color scheme. Maybe they had some interesting powers.
With her natural, cheery disposition, Canvas didn't even seem to notice how down Melody appeared. "Hi!" she chirped. "How's it going?"
IC (As Necron): "Ah yes, Corpus Rahkshi. The place that shall be my grave if there is no cure for my condition.." The rahkshi said as he hacked and coughed a slime ball. He wandered through the hallways until he saw a rahkshi that seemed to be shifting colors and a stark white rahkshi. "Hey, you know where the infirmary or the headmaster's office is?" He caled out to them before clutching his guts.
OOC: Necron interacting with Canvas & Melody.
IC: Vyper - Gym.
"Whatever," I stepped back, lowering my weapon. Icarax would no doubt be depositing the injured rahk into the pit soon, so assassin or not, this assignment was over for them.
But I still had work to do...
IC Flabbergaster
stopitstopitstopitstopitstopitstopit
Flabbergaster got up, walking along, immediate fury obviously right under his skin.
OOC: Open for interaction... At your own risk. And did Bonegleam interact with Xi at all?
IC: Shock
"OH, COME ON. I'VE GOTTEN TO DO NOTHING BUT SHOOT AT ONE ASSASSIN, AND NOW I HAVE TO BLOODY SACRIFICE MYSELF. OH, BRILLIANT. THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS, SIR KRAKEN OR WHATEVER YOUR NAME IS." I rant, before taking a deep breath. "Two questions: where is the pit, and can we do some ritualistic sacrifice for me?" I say, in a quieter tone.
IC:
From within the depths of the library, a tapping is heard, almost in a rhythm or cadence. A lazy flick of the page, and I am greeted with another sheet of music. No... No good marching pieces... The tapping stops as I lift my hand off the desk to close the book, before putting it away. I grab another book, and I continue to read, looking for sheet music, my instrument at my side.
OOC: Chantant OFI.
IC: Waiata
Location: Library
The rahkshi of sonics slowly walked through the library, browsing the shelves as they hummed an original tune of theirs half silently. Suddenly, from the corner of their eye, they noticed Chantant. Another musician. Perfect! "Hey, how's it going?" Waiata said as they approached the clarinet player.
IC: Chantant
"Good, good..." I say, barely looking up from my book. "Just, looking for potential music for a marching show... No, no, no." I grumble, flipping the page. What a pain... Granted, I could write my own, but alone it would take months...
IC: Malady (Gym)
I get off my victim, no longer dripping slime.
IC: Fang - Malebranche Warehouse
As Jayar made preparations for the Kaita, Fang had vanished out the door. Despite the risk of running into Kat or Xara, he wasn't planning on being there for that part.
IC: Hoto - Malebranche Warehouse
"I can't stay," Hoto determined. "I'll only slow you down."
IC: Revenge-Forest
Revenge turned to Vlad, "Where is the nearest village?"
IC: Melody-Hallways
"F-f-f-fine, I g-g-guess." She said, staring at the ground.
IC: Canvas - Hallways
Before she quite had a chance to respond, an oozing, sickening Lehrak approached and asked about the Infirmary. Canvas's eyes gleefully searched over his decaying armor. Now this guy was interesting.
"Just a sec," she told Melody before casually leaning up against the wall. Her orange and red armor flickered for a moment, almost trying to match that pale green tone. "Just keep walking down his hall," she told him cheerfully, "turn right, and you'll know it when you see it. It's the room full of all the beds." She paused for a moment, almost as it catching her breath, before asking, "Can I... borrow some of your slime? I mean, you have so much of it, after all."
IC: Snake - 4th Tier, Malebranche
I grab the outstretched hand, heart racing.
My mind is full of desperate panic, and it's only increasing - I can't feel anything, any kind of connection...it's not working, it's not working!
IC: Shield
Shield clutched both of the hands, thinking hard. Combine, combine.
IC Recherche / Gym
"We shall start with the glutton." He would've considered pointing out the absurdly fat Turahk to his ally, but it was absolutely unnecessary due to it's sheer girth and height. "Earlier a potential ally went to speak with them, they conversed in low tones and then split up, neither returning to report to me. That is suspicious enough to warrant eliminating him."
IC Caoutchouc / Warehouse
This was the only time he'd actually seen something like this... He stepped back and watched with anticipation and more than a little dread.
IC: Fíor - Forest, Nynrah
I sigh. We need to get going. It's a shame to end the silence, but I've got to be strong, I've got to do my part. My duty. Both of our survivals depend on it.
I stand up, reaching out a hand to help Nymph up too. "We'll have a look at the maps..." I say. I have an idea of where we could go.
IC Doubt
Doubt had collected several stones in his hands. "If we do a fly-over and scatter the stones everywhere, they'll consider it an attack. And we wouldn't be doing any great harm."
IC: Revenge-Forest
"Good thinking, but it probably would be best if we did cause some damage, make it seem more serous." Revenge said to Doubt. "I did have something similar in mind for myself." He held up his launcher.
IC: Melody-Hallways
Melody stood there and quietly waited for Canvas to be done. She didn't have anything better to do.
IC:
From within the depths of the library, a tapping is heard, almost in a rhythm or cadence.
IC: Geuua - Library.
I briefly glanced up from my book at the sounds of tapping, then ignored it and continued reading.
IC: Hoto - Malebranche Warehouse
"I can't stay," Hoto determined. "I'll only slow you down."
IC: Era - Warehouse.
"Don't be stupid, Hoto. I don't want to see you end up like Shield, no one does," I sighed, "We'll look after you, I promise."
IC: Sliver - Gym.
"Works for me," I picked out another arrow, "Do you want to take the first shot, or shall I?"
IC Flabbergaster
"We shall start with the glutton."
Flabbergaster's head slowly arced around, eyes ablaze. Why couldn't he be a level four or something like that?
Two archers. One was so the opposite of him, all thin and hideous, while the other... Was rockin' that colour scheme. Nonetheless, he was still severely ticked.
IC: Hoto - Malebranche Warehouse
"I'll be fine, but not here. Here, there's Rahkshi to fight and... whoever hurt Shield. At least, back at the Academy... I felt safe."
IC: Era - Warehouse.
"No, Hoto, no. Corpus Rahkshi is far from safe," even without eyes, I'd seen what had happened there, seen what it was becoming, "Going back there is even more dangerous than staying here."
IC (As Necron): "Sure, I'm dripping buckets of the sludge." Said the rahkshi as he held out his hands glistening with the slimy poison. "Careful you don't get infected by the stuff." Necron said with a smile before retching on his own toxin.
IC (As Liliate): The rahkshi of laser vision polished her glasses as she walked into the library and put them back on. She looked around and found Waiata and Chantant. *Wonder if they're musicians.* The rahkshi thought as Liliate approached them. "Hello there, how are you two? The name's Liliate and I like to play the drums." She said as her hands lifted the bongos.
IC: Shark / Gym
A concise jab with Faithful in the pit's direction made the answer to Shock's first inquiry quite clear. "If that is your one condition, perhaps," was Shark's answer to the second. "So long as it requires neither greater time or effort on my part than simply moving you myself." Given his prowess in combat that probably didn't allow for a very complex ritual. Still, he would prefer to save combat for more obstinate suspects; the necessity of working through dozens of remaining Rahkshi to find the assassins made this also a game of endurance.
IC: Hoto - Malebranche Warehouse
"What other choice do I have?" Hoto shouted. "It's dangerous there, it's dangerous here! There's no place for a Rahkshi like me."
IC: Canvas - Hallways
Canvas searched through her bags for an empty jar, apparently unfazed by the mention of "infection." After a moment, she pulled one out and held it out to capture the slime. Her armor flickered green again.
"Now," she said to Melody as the slime dripped, "you were saying?"
IC: Era - Warehouse.
"That's the whole reason we're here," I reminded her, "To find a safe place. There's no going back, only forwards."
OOC:
He walked over to a giant four red creature.
Is confusing.
OOC: Meant armed but dang autocorrect.
IC: Edge
Edge lifted up his arm revealing his poison launcher and with his other hand he picked out a smoke bomb. He thought a four armed creature would be perfectly willing to give an arm. Especially to a good cause. Well that cause being a backup arm in case he lost his own.
"Not a psychopath. Possibly a sociopath. But I am a man of science. Now let me ask again. May I have an arm? Or at least a finger?"
If he put up a fight he would have to run.
OOC: Ghidora you may have missed this
IC: Pyre - Causeway
He examined the knife. He would probably need shades in case he ever accidentally flashed that light again. He spun the knife and quickly stored it away. He then proceeded to lower the gym walls around him and walk out into the halls and out into the causeway.
OOC: No, I responded with
IC Xi
"Seriously, BUGGER OFF." Xi spat, backing away.
IC Vaalku
The disturbing Rahkshi had crawled his way to the infirmary door, where he pulled himself up to look important and hobbled in...
Who...
Someone he didn't remember seeing before sat on the bed directly in his line of sight. Keeping an eye on the figure, Vaalku took a seat, brain racing to remember who this was.
OOC: Exxan has been reannoyedunited.
IC: Hoto - Malebranche Warehouse
"But what's the point if I don't make it that far?" Hoto said seriously. "If I turn back now, I know my way, and I know Corpus Rahkshi. I'll be fine there."
IC: Era - Warehouse.
"No, you won't." Karz, I didn't want to wind up scaring her even more, "When Tridax finds out you're back, he'll torture you to find out where we are, or even kill you. I don't want that to happen."
IC (As Necron): The rahkshi hurled and puked a torrent of green sludge that was fouler than the refectory slop into the jar. "Make sure to seal the lid tight, alright?"
IC Recherche / Gym
"I am out of ammo, I'll engage him in melee. I trust you not to hit me with your arrows." The possibility that she was an assassin tinged through his brain again.
He began to take cautious steps towards the gluttonous Turahk, judging by his current state of mind, the fat Rahkshi was not an exceptionally powerful one, one that could've affected him greatly or at range. For this reason he felt confident that his burgeoning fear powers would not be an issue. Still some distance away, he summoned a handful of rubble from the gym's floor, superheating it into a molten slurry that he threw at Flabbergaster.
IC: Hoto - Malebranche Warehouse
Hoto broke down into tears again at the thought. "Era... I... I d-don't know what to do!" she sobbed. "There's the R-Rahkshi... a-a-and Shield... and the K-K-Kaita.... a-and the arguing... a-and K-K-Kat..." she trailed off, her voice sinking lower and lower into despair until it was hardly audible.
IC: Canvas - Hallways
Canvas flipped a lid out of her bag and smartly popped it atop the jar. "Thank you, sir," she grinned despite holding a jar of bile, "Now... ah... you should go get... all that taken care of." She waved a hand in the general direction of all of him.
IC: Sliver - Gym.
Even as Recherche began to toss his superheated sludge, an arrow was already ripping through the air towards the fat rahk's right leg. Given how much weight he had to support, even the slightest leg wound would likely prove to be a crippling blow.
_____________________________________________
IC: Era - Warehouse.
"And none of it is your fault," I assured her, "let them sort out their problems."
IC: Shock
"Well... Guess no ring of fire or cultish chanting. Well, then..." I turn towards the pit, and run towards it, going into a belly flop position as I leap...
IC: Draco
"You want a warning? Fine. Surrender willingly to the pit... Or extra measures will be taken." I growl at Rose, taking a step back, regaining my posture.
OOC: Shock was not an assassin, but he did go out in style.
IC: Chantant
At that, I look up. "A bongo player, you say? Can you play any other percussion instruments? What cadences do you know? Are you educated enough in music theory to help me write a percussion part for a marching show?" The barrage of questions erupt from my mouth, all too excited. There were other musicians...
IC: Hoto - Malebranche Warehouse
"So I j-just sit here w-when they all f-fight?!" she squeaked. "W-when they need me?!"
