IC: Pirok (Toa)Pirok was walking around, and trying to find the others from the group which had met at the Kini-Nui. He was failing. This is just great. He decided to head to Jaller. There was a chance, just a chance, that they might be there. He walked up to the door, knocked, and waited.
OOC: I do believe the profile states "talented", which usually doesn't translate to "that bad", but different tastes, I guess. :PIC:"I'm here for moral support," Mita replied. "I don't like fights, but you can't keep me away!"
IC: (Tairel)"Thanks, Ma'am," started the Toa as he opens the door. "I was wondering if it would be too much trouble to ask for a cup of coffee and maybe if I could take a quick smoke. I'll be done in no time." Tairel looks at his feet as he says,"I couldn't sleep so I decided I'd just stay up. Bad dreams," his voice trails off as he fumbles for a cigarette. Right now, he was slmply rolling it back and forth between his fingers, not bothering to light it.-Mef Man
IC: Bfore Krayzikk could get his wits about him, Tarn punched him again in the face. You know what, this is ticking me off. Kayzikk blocked Tarn's next punch and attempted to retaliate, but Tarn pulled a knife and jabbed it into Krayzik's shoulder. Krayzikk yelled in both surprise and pain as Tarn pulled out the knife and prepared to strike again.
OOC: Yeah, it's precisely that. Hau loves techno and rock, but hates ballads with a burning passion. Especially ones about Ta-Koro.IC: Riaril nodded. She remembered when she had bad dreams long ago-all about that darn Gabel-and vividly recalled that she had wanted to do something, anything, to forget about them. She got up and walked to her coffee maker. After loading in all the ingredients and turning it on, the ga-toa walked back to her desk and took her cig out of her mouth. "Wanna talk about it?," Riaril asked, more out of the feeling that she should do something than anything.Hau jogged through Ta-Koro towards the sounds. I've got to see what is going on... Then he came to the rough area of the square and saw the knife-pulling.He only had time to think NO LEGS--And then his Kakama activated--Sending him flashing into the middle of the combat--Half-knuckle fist rising--Sliding across the arm holding the knife to deflect the blow--Towards the knifer's throat.
IC: (Tairel)Tairel thinks it over for a second. Would he really want to talk about it to his boss? He wasn't sure. But, who else would he talk to?"If you don't mind being bored to death," said the Toa as he takes a seat. He considered lighting the cigarette, but decided against it for the moment."Well, it started back a few years ago. I starting having bad dreams about a friend of mine drowning. It happened over and over, each dream getting closer to him drowning completely. One night, the dream involved him dying completely. The next night, I didn't have the dream. I guess you could imagine how glad I was to be finished with the dreams. So, the next day I went to see him...but I was informed he had died the night I had the last bad dream. Drowned in Naho Bay." The Toa of Fire frowns as he continues to roll the cigarette around between his fingers. "Then, I met Ga'mal, the Ga-Matoran who just checked out, and started having bad dreams about her dying. But, she hasn't been too close to actually dying in my dreams. What I fear is if they aren't dreams, but visions." The Toa of Fire runs his left hand over the top of his Mask.Tairel looks up at Ga-Toa before shoving the cigarette in his mouth, still not lighting it.-Mef Man
OOC: Techno? I can work with that. Just tell her and she'll try. :DIC (Mita)The Toa of Sonics gasped involuntarily when she saw that a fierce fight was already in progress, but she was ultimately undeterred by the spectacle. Mita gripped her guitar and tried to hit some heavy chords, even though she didn't have much to work with yet.
IC (Merror)Before Jaller spoke, there was a knock on the door.Merror went over to it, and opened it to find Pirok standing there. A smile crossed his face."Pirok!" he said. "Good to see you again."
ICL Riaril (both Fearless and I are playing this chick) and Kriigata"Hmm, visions," Riaril muttered almost absently as she inhaled once more, allowing the texture to waft up across her hard palette and out her nose, the plume rising slowly from her pakari shaped mask of healing. "Sometimes, visions and omens aren't more than coincidence," She began again; "but other times they're true. I've heard Turaga Vakama has these, premonitions as well. Perhaps, not on working hours of course, you should pay him a visit? I'm not much of a master in this field, never having had any such experiences like the story you've just told me."----Kriigata looked up towards the now standing and leaving Sucogu with a quizzical glance, followed by an eager, dogged happiness."Find Hau? Let's go!"She took off, leaving Sucogu in the dust as she unconsciously triggered her mask of speed. Her plume of ash causing many a passerby to rub their eyes.
IC: Ghar-Knel raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure you care about me?" he asked. "Now really think. You were helping a stranger in need. Once you get to know me--" He grabbed one of the shot glasses the bartender gave him and knocked it back. "Ah, but that's not my point. I have my own interests and agendas. A... private duty of sorts."He picked up the second shot glass and swirled the liquid around a moment."It's something people don't like about me, I guess," the assassin went on. "For example. Just a day or two ago, I befriended a few nice Toa. There was Kahua, the Toa of Magnetism, Miptel, the puny Toa of Fire, and Solaris the Toa of Lightning. Solaris was my target, but he lost his memory. Kahua and Miptel thought he deserved a second chance as a new Toa, and I agreed. We decided to double cross my master and get the money in exchange for Solaris and my freedom."But, then I tried to kill the three of them. I wanted to do this the way I wanted to. All my morals were forgotten. They all lived, and my master was killed by that son of a Brakas Solaris. Then, Kahua stabbed me in the face with my own crossbow bolt, and I floated off to Le-Wahi. They tried to care about me. I tried to let them."He finally downed the second shot and signaled the bartender."Give me more of this stuff," Ghar-Knel told him. "Leave the bottle."The bartender shrugged and did so."Where was I?" the Vortixx mumbled. "Ah, yes. You may care about me." He took a swig from the bottle. "Oh well. Too bad for you. You see, I'm not exactly the type you come to like. I kill for money. It's fun. I love my job. I just hate myself." Another gulp of the liquor. "And if you think you care about me, you're wrong. You can't. It's not possible. I hate the world, and the world hates me." He tipped the bottle up to his mouth until it was half-empty. "The rest is for you."Then he got up and tapped a patron on the shoulder."Do you care about me?" Ghar-Knel asked."Look buddy, you've had a lot to drink," the patron sighed."See, Ga'mal, he thinks he cares!" the Vortixx went on. Then, he punched the patron."All right, that's it, pal!" the patron yelled. There were a few feints, but soon, the patron reared for a blow that was headed strait for Ghar-Knel's face.
IC: (Ga'mal Tairel)Tairel lights his cigarette and takes a deep puff. He exhales slowly allowing the smoke to escape from his nose then his mouth."What could some old Turaga do for me," he mutters as he looks down at his cigarrette. "Oh well," he finally says. "Maybe they'll pass. Itleast you don't have to be stuck with bad dreams. Atleast, I can't imagine you having bad dreams. You've got everything a doctor could ever want here; I'm sure the last thing on your mind are a few bad dreams."Unbeknowest to the Toa, she had been dreaming of her Ga-Toa sister. Hopefully, he hadn't brought them up in a rude way.In the bar:The Ga-Matoran had been listening intently, and been drinking strongly, as the being was telling his sad tale."I care about you, honestly," she says, a few tears rolling down her face. Ga'mal takes another sip of the alcholic drink as the being stands up and talks to a nearby being. Soon, a fight erupted with Ghar-Knel about to get punched in the face. The Ga-Matoran grogilly grabs the half empty bottle and smashes it over the patron's head, knocking him out and giving him a mild concussion. "Perfectly good liquor," she says to herself,"wasted." She throws the remains of the bottle that was in her hand on the ground as she helps Ghar-Knel stand up straight. "See, I do care. I wouldn't had taken the swing for you if I hadn't cared.""Hey! No fightin' in my bar!" yelled the bartender. But, Ga'mal hadn't heard him. The drunken Matoran was too busy looking into the eyes of the Vortixx, trying to convince her new drinking pal that she could help him in some way.-Mef
IC: Tarn didn't know how, but his knife was now moving toward his throat. Dropping it, he tried to activate his mask to fly backwards, but he was too slow. Krayzikk punched him in the face, knocking him onto theground.Krayzikk smiled. The cavalry has arrived. "I don't know who you people are, but thanks."
OOC: Oh, whoops. Didn't mean for Hau to do that-I don't know how I mixed up writing that his half-knuckle fist went for the throat and that Tarn's knife went for the throat because of deflection, lul. But it's k.IC: Hau didn't even notice the appreciation, he merely struck--Blurring and reforming in a straddling position, attempting to slam another regular fist into the guy's stomach. He had been trained to fight until his foes were incapacitated. And the toa doubted a punch to the face alone would do the job.OOC: Jsyk, if that makes contact, Tarn is probably critically damaged, though not complete downed-a punch to the stomach from Hau at that speed broke several ribs and caused damage to the liver; in general, one of its pros is that it abounds in making serious injury. Also leaving the Tairel post for you to respond to, Kughz.-The Fearless Leader
OOC: RIGHTEO FEARLESS!I'm waiting for no isle's post with Sucogu 'fore I write with Kriigata again...IC: Riaril (both Fearless and I are playing this chick)Riaril blinked, her professional demeanor never having shifted, save for a split second of (was it really) depression? "Perhaps you're right Tairel. Maybe all I am is a perfect being with a perfect job and a perfect life and you're sitting across from me asking for a salary and a job because you want what I have."Riaril stood, and walked out the door. She had never been so curt before, but something about this toa's tone had put her off."Takimoc, I'm going out," Riaril said as she passed the surgeon arming the front desk; "Nakumir was working on the patient in room 3, make sure she has everything she needs. Thanks."She left her hospital, and began to walk to the only other place she could really go to vent: Virthee's clinic.OOC: well, she may hate the guy's job, but you gotta admit V's an amazing doc.
IC: (Tairel)What did I say wrong? Women. First Ga'mal, then Riaril.Tairel continues to smoke his cigarrette as the doctor walks out of the room."What about the coffee," he mutters as he stands up and pours himself a cup before exiting her office. He closes the door behind him but doesn't lock it. The Ta-Toa sits down in the chair behind his desk. Tairel puts out his cigarette and throws it in a waste basket nearby, making sure the embers were out completely. The Toa sighs to himself before taking a sip of the coffee. "Never been too good with women," he says to himself before sitting the cup down on his table.-Mef
IC:Odhran"Hey, Virthee." Odhran said, hoping that Virthee wouldn't ignore him again. "Do you need any help? You seem a bit busy..."
IC: If Tarn had more combat experience, maybe he could have stopped the blow. But he didn't. Tarn cried out in pain as the blow connected, knowing that something had just broken by the snap he heard.
IC: Ghar-Knel looked at Ga'mal, woozily. "Issa good thing you got him, cuz I don' wanna get hit inna face again," he slurred, drunkenly. He pulled out his wallet, and dumped all the money he had on the counter."Here," he told the bartender. He turned around to walk out. Then he swung to face the bartender again. "I forgot to tip!""This is enough," the bartender said, looking at the small fortune on the bar."Let's ged oudda here," Ghar-Knel said, stumbling to the door. "I think I *hic* need a place to sleep. By Makuta's backside, that was good stuff."
IC - Sucogu - Ending Tarn A lightning bolt went past Hau and Tarn. Then it came back. The bolt was headed for Tarn's head, dead-on. His goal was to take out the opponent for good. One would turn to see Sucogu, and realized two things:-Sucogu had used his mask of rebounding.-Sucogu wasn't afraid of killing.Kriigata was somewhere around here, but where? She had probably run so fast that she missed the intended destination.
IC: (Ga'mal)Ga'mal smiles at her partner as they exit the bar."You got it, buddy!" she partly yells as almost falls down on her face. "Karz was that good drinkin'," she adds. "Let's try to find some kirnd arve hotarl." He drunkeness was starting to show through her slurred speech. Ga'mal continues to smile dumbly as she leans on Ghar-Knel as they walk. "Sorry, about this," she says. "I can't walk and stand up straight at 'da same time." She starts to burst into laughter as they walk down the sidewalk.-Mef
IC: Ghar-Knel stumbled down the street. His clouded mind was elsewhere. They finally found an inn to stay at. Ghar-Knel checked them in at the front desk."One room," he said. "Nothin' too egpensive. I don' have much money, no more. Two beds please. Don' wanna ged nothin' mixed up." He made a sort of choking noise. He didn't know how to laugh humorously. "Ah, I feel sorry for the world."
OOC: oh darn, they check into a hotel 'fore Kriigata could assail two drunks. :PIC: Riaril (both Fearless and I are playing this chick) and KriigataShe took the route she'd used so many times before: around the hospital, down the alley, make a left at the third block south, and then just keep walking to you smell the herbs. It wasn't much of a sense of directions, but Riaril's feet somehow knew there way to her fellow professionals clinic. Virthee's shop wasn't as large or pretentious as the toa of water's, but it also had a sense of charm as if to say: "we may not look like much, but we're the best."Entering to the sound of a small bell, Riaril stood, somewhat embarrassed, in the waiting room of Virthee's clinic.---Was she lost? ........Yes.The blue bullet had gotten herself into a tight pinch of undetermined destination, in other words: complete dislocation from her parental unit. She had skidded to a stop in front of a small hotel, narrowly avoiding two hobbling characters, but was now unsure of what to do. She couldn't communicateKriigata ran----sdrawkcab.OOC: read it in reverse. ![]()
IC: (Ga'mal)Ga'mal laughs before saying,"Two beds?" Yes, her drunkeness had showed a long time ago and was continuing to present itself. "We don't have any bags," she says to the being behind the table in front of them. "So don't expect a tip for just showing us where the room is."-Mef
IC: Hau grinned. The guy was out--And then black spots began to dance at the edges of his vision as his limbs gave way.The pushups and palm stretches might've been enough on their own. But them plus the jogging and sudden exertion of the fight had left Hau, who was already low on blood, breathless-literally. His blood cells couldn't carry all the oxygen he required to continue fighting. Neither could his healing knee be put under any more stress lest it be damaged.Rolling over off the body of his foe, the dizzied and exhausted Hau could not see the lightning bolt fly by or return. All he could see was blurry and blackened figures moving about.
IC (Naru)Naru saw the Toa she had followed fall, and was quite distressed by this. It's funny how quickly one can feel attached to another. A few words, and Naru "knew" the guy. She didn't want to see him die. Therefore, she jogged over to him and knelt down, preparing a sonic blast to push away an eventual attacker. The energy fizzled in her hand. She had never needed to fight before, and so her potential with anything but music was severely lacking. She held her hand up, its flickering glow at least somewhat threatening."Are you all right?" she asked Hau.OOC: If anyone attacks either Hau or Mita now, you can RP her retaliating blast, that's fine. It's going to be anything but an effective, focused beam, however. Imagine more of a mis-aimed discord. ![]()
IC: It was a while before Hau felt well enough to answer, or before he even knew who had asked the question. The black spots dancing at the edges of his eyes, blurring of vision, and dizziness combined with the exhaustion had hit him like a kane-ra. He simply lay there and breathed for a minute or two: In through the nose, out through the mouth. Like he'd been taught to.But gradually the spell began to pass. The black spots took wing and the blurriness soon exited his vision as well. The dark, shadowy face before him now cleared into the concerned Great Mahiki of the female Sonics who had followed him here."Yes," his dry lips suddenly moved as though he had been awakened from a great slumber. "I'm fine." He didn't move, however. The toa knew that his body still needed some time to get as much oxygen as he needed to move comfortably in his blood. He'd heard of this sort of thing befalling people who lost too much blood in fights and tried to keep going from his master. He just hadn't really thought that it could happen to him until now. Then a question struck his mind. He had to-he had to know the answer. He just had to."Did I...," Hau paused, searching for the right words, "Did I beat 'im?"
IC: Krayzikk's eyes widened as he realized that Sucogu was trying to kill Tarn. I hate the guy, but I can't let that guy kill him. Steeling himself, he warped over to Tarn, grabbed him and lunged to the side. The lightning bolt missed them both by little more than an inch. Hearing Hau's question, he set Tarn on the ground near where he was standing, and leaned over to examine Hau's condition. "Yeah, you beat him. Thanks, by the way."
IC: Hau cracked a wan grin. I did it. Maybe...People will acknowledge me now. They'll-they'll call me a-they'll call me a hero!, he thought suddenly and triumphantly. But then his face fell. Somehow, the idea didn't seem quite as important to him as it had before. The young toa frowned as he lay there. A piece was missing in this mental puzzle. Why was it not starting to matter so much?
IC: Ghar-Knel was glad she hadn't noticed that strange laugh of his."Yeah, two beds," Ghar-Knel said. "I don' wanna ged mixed up in some weird stuffs tonight."The Matoran behind the desk smiled politely and took them up to their room."Thankee," the Vortixx said, slamming the door in the Matoran's face. Then, he went to the kitchen and got a bottle of wine out of the cooling box. "Gud night, Ga'mal," he said. "I'mma just gonna have some wine to help me go ta sleep. And don' come in my bed or I'll... uh.. kill ya. Yeah." He started his choking laugh, again.
OOC: GOTTA get back into the realm of normality.. and the proper location. :PIC: Kriigata Kriigata stopped. It was the fourth wall. Running backwards had nothing to gain and everything to lose. Falling down those stairs had been testimony to the fact. "Normal walking," She muttered to herself and took off the correct way, her dust cloud no behind her, not in front. She had no problem with the speed she was going, in fact, it seemed like everything up until then had been dismally slow, as if she hadn't been able to truly be herself until now.Be myself?Kriigata pulled a jerky stop at an intersection, her whole body swaying like the swells from a ship as she went back into a neutral stance. Without much thought, or perhaps the deepest thought she could muster, the spring-scythe was pulled from its clip on her back and lodged firmly in the palms of her hands. She then walked slowly towards a bench, sitting down, staring at the weapon between her fingers. The metal and shape felt somehow familiar, as if she'd held this tool for a very long time. Everything about it's shape was comfortable to the young toa. She knew how it worked, and how to use the weapon to its full potential. How do I know? What am I missing? Her forehead felt about to burst, the pain making her drop the staff and reach for her eyes. Slight images floated through her brain, just enough to give a picture, but too little to make any sense. It faded, the slow fog of her past enveloping the treasure chest of her locked memory once again, the pain between her eyes subsiding to nothing more than an aftershock, a token of rememberance which would, in turn, quickly fade away until nothing would be left. Standing up with a languid patience, Kriigata picked up her spring-scythe, a new firmness in her grasp as she raised it back over her head and slipped it into the clip on her back. "I need to find dad," Kriigata muttered and she took off once more, her feet taking a normal pace through the city of fire. It wasn't long before she found the hospital again."From here, we went.." She looked down the street towards the grill; "There. Then, Dad took off that way... Okay, I know where to go."Without any passion in her step, or the frantic speed of before, Kriigata continued in the toa of lightning's footsteps, rounding the corner and entering the fray before her. A de-toa hovered over Hau who was lying on the ground, a massive warrior stood nearby and Sucogu was standing in a ready, yet relaxed stance as he eyed the motionless toa on the ground. "I'm late," Kriigata stated, the girlishness in her voice returning, but the intelligence losing none of its bite. With a smile she walked up towards Sucogu and pecked his cheek. "Sorry dad."She glared at the girl hovering over Hau. Who IS this girl?
OOC: Pirok, wanna join?-----IC: JLJL woke up from the shade he had slept in, and found Pirok in front of Jaller's hut. From the looks of it, Jaller was sleeping too. Right now, the sun was beginning to shine brighter, and it was time he woke up anyways. He walked up to Pirok.JL: Hey, Pirok! What brings you here?
IC - Sucogu - Epical FlashbackA white and blue figure sitting at a table. It's dark outside, and the figure appears to be relatively tired. A shorter figure rushes in, and looks surprised to see the former."I'm late," she says, "Sorry dad."The figure looks up."Oh, it's okay."The smaller figure sits at the table."You didn't have to wait up for me.""On the contrary, I did. Couldn't sleep until I knew you were home." The girl smiles.Sucogu blinked hard, paying attention to the matter at hand. Wait, did Kriigata call him "dad?"He layed rest to the thought and tapped Naru on the shoulder."Excuse me, who are you, how do you know my so- how do you know Hau?"
OOC: Lol @Jealous!Kriigata-I'd pay cold hard cash for her to say "NO, HE'S MY HAU! MIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE!"XPI can understand why she thinks that about them, though. Considering they're in that position and Hau is breathing heavily, lul. Good thing he hasn't figured that out himself yet courtesy of rushing through this.IC: Hau's thoughts were interrupted when he felt a gaze on him.Eyes flying up, he found the black toa also with Sucogu staring at him and Mitar with......Wait...(was that?)(could it be?)...Jealousy.He blinked. What-? Why'd she be-?That was about when Hau realized what the situation he was in must've looked like. He flushed scarlet beneath his mask. Oh, dung. And it appeared Sucogu didn't approve as well. He was just asking who the female toa of Sonics was in that kind of tone. That kind of tone, to be specific, in which a dad might interrogate their kid's associates if they were 'suspicious characters' to see what exactly they intended on doing with those of their own blood."I met her on my way here," the young toa explained. The dizziness was leaving him now, and he finally focused on the Mask of Rebounding which had been branded into his brain at this point. "She said she'd provide moral support for those in the fight. At the very least, she was concerned about my health, which is why we are in this situation."Speaking of which," he cleared his throat and began to whisper as he focused on the Mahiki, "Could you please stop hovering over me? This doesn't look very...Uh, it just looks pretty...Uh...Suspicious," ended Hau awkwardly, having attempted to skirt around the subject at hand.
IC: (Ga'mal)The Ga-Matoran chortles (OOC: Yes, that is a word. Look it up.) as she jumps on her bed. "Mind if I have a glass?" she asks as she slowly rises to a sitting position, trying not to fall off the side of the bed.-Mef
OOC: BioBeast, you must have missed a post somewhere.IC: VirtheeVirthee, who hadn't ignored ohdran, and had even dodged sonics and lightning to reach the door to speak to the pirate, spoke to the pirate."Yes?"
IC: AurixAurix grinned. "Then we shall find him! There aren't too many yellow people that I have met, and surely he will stand out if he has an attitude!"IC: KadonI opened my eyes and groaned. I had a raging headache.Raising my head, I saw the medic at the door, talking. I lied back down, hoping that my head would stop throbbing soon.
IC: Ghar-Knel looked at the bottle."I don' think there's enough 'ver the both ovvus," he said. "I think there's 'bout two more boddles in the icey box thing."With that, he took a gratuitous swig of the wine, feeling drowsier and drowsier with each gulp.
IC: (Ga'mal)"Oh good!" she yells as she staggers out of the bed and toward the ice box. She grabs one of the bottles and immediatly opens the bottle. As the Matoran turns around, more tears were rolling down her face. "No one cares about you," she says before breaking out into more tears. "That...is...SO SAD!" She whispers the first two words before exclaiming the last two. "Just like Tairel does with me." Her face automaticlly turns into an evil glare. "Tairel. To Karz with Tairel. You know, I don't even know what I see in him," she adds as she tries to walk back toward her bed.-Mef
IC: Ghar-Knel frowned. He hadn't planned this evening at all, surprisingly."Well, that don't madder much," he said. "I guess all we does is go da sleep and just fuggedaboutid in the morning. 'S what I did when I fell in love. Painful but effective. Besides, I is a sad person."He proceeded to drink more wine. More and more until the bottle was empty. He swore, cursing empty bottles.
Ic: SirrausSirraus gazed up at the ceiling of the massive chamber. It was only distinguishable by the torchlights mounted on walkways crisscrossing in a web far above. The rows of bookshelves, artifacts and scattered paraphernalia disappeared into the vast gloom in any direction. The Onu-Koronians called it the secondary archives to save their pride. The Ta-Koronians called it the master archive because it was true: These archives were superior in nearly every way, from their organizing system to the pure size of their collection. Sirraus marveled at the Ta-Koronian’s ability to excavate such an enormous room in the side of the deceptively diminutive Mangai. A red-armoured archivist approached him and queried his intentions. The earth dweller replied that he was there to cross reference a single volume from Onu-Koro and that he should be able to find it without any trouble, thank you very much, and to please alert him if a Ko-Koronian came in as well. Two hours later he began to regret denying the offer. The Master Archive was even larger than a first impression would realize, and that was really saying something. They had seventeen rows towering to the ceiling just for the known history of Ga-Koro prior to Gali’s coming. Finding an identical copy of this particular volume would take days if not weeks.Sirraus slumped down on a walkway some two-hundred feet up and gazed blankly at the shelf opposite. A small, translucent orange object displayed between two volumes caught his eye and he stood up and leaned against the railing to get a closer look.
