IC (Romulus)
"Not so long ago, a robot attacked the city and blew just about half of it into kingdom come. I would not be alive if I was not paranoid." Romulus shrugged. "Messy business indeed. I am quite certain the remaining students wouldn't take such an event sitting down. Not with the history the institute has."
IC: Lynae
The vampire nodded. "I suppose you're right.. Perhaps I should get someone to protect me.." She mused.
"You're certainly right though. The young are rash and cause damage to us and themselves."
IC: Katherine "Kitty" Pryde
The one to answer the door was none other than Kitty. She'd made it clear that students shouldn't be answering the door and was making a point to beat them to it. She opened the door breathlessly.
"Oh hello! How can I help you?" Now Kitty had never met Lilliana, so to her it was a complete stranger.
IC: Ashley
Ashley giggled as they took of into the air, she'd flown in planes before, but this was something else entirely. It got her heart racing, as if she was on a roller coaster. They'd find Dallas in no time now!
IC: Lilliana
"Hello, I'm Lilliana Schneider... I used to be a student here." She gave a weak smile, extending her hand to Kitty.
"I... Was sort of wondering if there might be a position open."
IC: Katherine "Kitty" Pryde
Kitty took Lilliana's hand and shook it firmly. "I'm Katherine Pryde, I teach computer science here." She gestured for Lilliana to come inside.
"So you'd like to apply for a job then? You'll have to speak with the headmaster then, Warren Worthington."
IC: Lilliana
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Ms. Pryde." She replied as he stepped in, clutching her suitcase a bit tighter. "Y-yes... I'd love to work here." She said shyly, looking down for a moment.
"I suppose you came after I left then.."
IC: Katherine "Kitty" Pryde
"Most likely, I've only been teaching for about a year. Though I grew up here as a student..." She trailed off, thinking about the old days.
"But that was a very, very long time ago!" She chuckled.
IC: Lilliana
"I suppose we must have missed each other then... That or my memory is still a bit faulty." She said with a small laugh, her sea colored eyes however avoided meeting Kitty's as she spoke.
IC: Katherine "Kitty" Pryde
"Well, I was gone for a very long time, for about seventeen years actually." Kitty said with a small smile.
IC: Lilliana
"Ah.. Then yes we missed each other. Hopefully we can become colleagues?" She asked with a hopeful look.
IC: Conrad
>>I've seen them. Mutiple glimpses of them in New York from survalence cameras in the area. Seems they've headed into an apartment complex. I'm seending you the coordinates now.
>>Pleasure working with you again Ryk. I'll transfer the funds to your secure account now. Let's keep in touch.
>>You know how to reach me.
Once the trasnfer was done Conrad closed his laptop and put it away. "Alright I have a lock on our targets, shall we depart?" he said to Bootleg and Reptilian. Conrad then looked at his dashboard and smiled.
"Oooh, its one of those Hydra cars..." he pressed a red button on the dash and suddenly the vehicle began to change. The wheels turned onto their sides and turned into boosters; raising the vehicle off the ground as black metal wings spread from the sides of the vehicle.
"To New York then..." Conrad said as he grabbed the new controls which had replaced the steering wheel before his eyes.
IC (Romulus)
"I know a few decent PMC's that have started working in these parts. Should be a simple matter for you to buy them out." Romulus paused for a moment.. "It'd seem that not everyone trusts the police to handle security matters these days. I can't say I blame them."
IC: Lynae
"My dear Romulus, I can't just have any old bodyguard. Not with my..." Her fangs protruded as she grinned, "condition."
IC:
I winced, just starting to pick up on that weird dead flower smell.
IC (Romulus)
"Ah, Ms. Rosewood, then might I ask what exactly you have in mind?" Romulus smiled tightly. "I do believe the situation is going to get worse before it improves at the very least, though, I expect you know that as well."
IC: Lynae
She took one of her hands off the wheel and gently touched his cheek as they settled into slow traffic. "In due time." She whispered with a slightly flirtatious smile playing on her lips before removing her hand.
IC:
The cars were sluggish here, and the scent was only growing stronger.
IC (Romulus)
Romulus returned his gaze to the road, deep in thought. Lynae, despite her manner, knew how to play the game of politics quite well. All the flirting, all the tangled romances were nothing but a cover. Romulus had seen the game played by masters during the days of Rome and he knew the tactics as easily as an old warrior would know the banners of his army. She was weaving a web within Hellfire, though only time would tell what she hoped to trap in it. "You'd have done well in Rome you know. Quite well."

IC (Leah - Wichita)
From her rooftop perch, Nizhoni heard the sound of sizzling. The building she sat on happened to be one of interest- a jewelry store. In the early morning, the shop had two hours until it opened. The thief- Leah -would have come late at night. That would have been ideal. However, the store had hosted an expo which ran late into the ungodly hours of the morning. It was 3 AM before everyone had left, and even then it wasn't a safe hit until about 5 o'clock. AKA, right now. In all aspects, the shop was a perfect hit. It was small enough that it needed no security guard, but large enough that it had high-quality products. Her major worries were the cameras and motion sensors. That was why, as Nizhoni vigilantly watched for crime, Leah was behind the building frying the circuits with well-placed flames, as to eliminate automated security.
IC: Ashley
"Do you have one of their scents Sierra?" Ashley yelled through the wind as she held on to Sierra, as fun as this was she didn't want to fall off.
IC: Katherine "Kitty" Pryde
"That would be nice yes." Kitty nodded in agreement. "But first things first! You must see the Headmaster." She gestured toward the hallway.
IC:
"Is this just, like, a regular Monday for you guys then?"
-Tyler
IC (Romulus)
Romulus nodded. "Sadly, yes. The kidnapping is new, but running around and putting out fires someone else started is not." The Imperator let out a long-suffering sigh. "The chains are also new...." Romulus frowned slightly. "Or at least, I rather hope they are."
IC: Lynae
"Oh? You must tell me later about Rome... It always fascinated me and my ancestors. You know, Anglo-Saxons thought the Romans were giants with all their mass structures.." She smiled at him and winked.
"Outside of the bedroom they are." She said with a giggle before looking into the review mirror, grinning at Dallas. "A joke, my dear. But don't fret... You'll be home soon."
IC: Lilliana
"Of course... Well, lead the way." She said with a soft smile.
IC:
I gave a quick nod after realizing that I could also smell the fainter smell which Nicole's had nearly overpowered. I folded my wings in tight, dropping in altitude so as to better single out the individual car. I could probably be seen by most drivers, but I didn't really care.
IC: Lynae
"Dallas... You didn't call your friends, did you?" She said with a slightly aggravated sigh as she saw Sierra. She quickly merged to the right lane, turning off to get onto a less populated road.
"Let's find somewhere we less populated and explain this."
IC: Ashley
Ashley simply held onto Sierra as she dropped in altitude, by the way they were falling that particular car Ashley had a hunch that they'd found Dallas...or Nicole. She was hoping for the former.
IC:
As the car turned off onto a smaller road, I gently touched down, preferring to follow on foot.
IC: Lynae
"Yep... Thought so." She quickly turned again, slowing the car down as she approached what appeared to be an abandoned farmhouse.
IC (Romulus)
"It is possible they have someone capable of tracking him...if tracking devices aren't the order of the day for the student body, which, after Weapon X...well, it would not shock me." Romulus shrugged and looked back at the two cars following them.
IC:
Weapon-X. I was with Nicole when they took everyone to Weapon-X. She saved me.
A weary, aching sadness hit his chest, and Dallas sighed, shaking his golden hair away from his face and leaning back in the back seat. Home wouldn't come soon enough. Too bad I'm going to Westchester instead, he thought, unbidden. But now was not the time for that.
Someday.
-Tyler
IC: Lynae
"Romulus my dear, I recognize that girl. I saw her when I was at the institute." She put the car in park and stepped out, waiting for Ashley and Sierra.
IC:
Judging by the amount of people who were with them, I really hoped that Ashley would be peaceful. As we approached them, I tried not to let my nose distract me. I couldn't afford to lose focus.
IC (Romulus)
Romulus nodded. "Ah, that would explain it then." Romulus stepped out of his side of the car and waved in the two cars he had along for insurance. It was always wise to have armed guards on hand, even if one didn't expect violence. "Mr. Green, I do believe your fellows are coming to collect you. I hope they are more level headed then the one who got you into this particular mess."
IC: Ashley
"Dallassssss are you in there?" Ashley called outloud, she noticed Lynae and a man come out the side of the car, waving two more vehicles over. "Oh hello!"
IC: Lynae
"Ah.. Ashley, was it?" She said with a smile. "Yes.. We were actually bringing Dallas back to the institute."
IC: Ashley
"Oh good!" Ashley practically squealed, though this did raise a few questions.
"How'd you get him away from Nicole? Is he hurt? Is he hungry? I brought snacks."
IC:
"I think my face is still swelling, but I'm good," Dallas sighed forlornly as he stepped out of the car and closed the back door softly behind him. "What kind of snacks did you bring?"
-Tyler
IC: Lynae
"We got her away because we are her superiors, plus she isn't that intelligent." She ran her fingers through her hair. "She's a rather reckless girl though."
IC (Romulus)
Romulus gave the approaching mutants as friendly a grin as he could manage. "Ave. I imagine Mr. Green is very happy to see you all. He's not had an easy day, to say the least." At her rapidfire questions, Romulus felt his smile grow wider. "Ms. Rosewood is correct. We quite outranked his kidnapper on this matter. We'll be ensuring this doesn't happen again."
IC: Ashley
"Dallas!" Ashley squealed again, her mission had been a success! She held up a paper bag. "Oh you know, the usual, some apples, pears, and lots of eclairs!"
Ashley listened to the other two's words carefully. "I see..." She said thoughtfully. "Want some eclairs?"
