What in the grey sky was this new copper rahkshi even saying?

"Gra... Grast?" The word wouldn't quite form. That was frustrating. They followed the thumb's accusing jab with their own finger, now aiming at the... Castle, that was the word.

I step out of the gym, before turning around and placing a wall in front of Spindle. It wasn't much, but every second counted. Now facing Tear, I help him up. "We need to find a storage room to hide out in. Wait for him to pass." I hiss.

I arrive back from our scouting out of breath, Shield alongside me. We had talked a little, in low muted voices, but it had been idle...my mind was and is taken up with other things, such as my-- our survival. I open my mouth to ask what's happening, but Shield beats me to it. Then I notice that a member of our party is missing. I don't want to ask in case it was in some part of the plan I missed, and by asking I'd be admitting to having not been listening. However, when...unfriendly noises start to emanate from beyond the clearing, this worry somehow pales in comparison to the problem of, as always, survival: "Where's Cao?"

"Alright," I nodded at Kat's instructions, "This way," calling Zivon back to me with a low whistle, I started moving - quickly, but quietly - in the direction of the campsite we'd found. From there, we'd hopefully be able to pick up Cao's trail..

IC: Xara - Forest of Kaam.

For all Kat's concern about me and my disagreements, it seemed like Cao was the one she really needed to be worried about. I wasn't all that surprised by his actions, to be honest. It's always the quiet ones...

An earth claw? Someone had a very generous Makuta. My mother was not so kind to the siblings of mine who'd lost their limbs and appendages. I remained quiet for the time being, waiting to see if this newcomer would have any better luck in communicating with the mute.

It was getting rather uneventful inside the Compound, so Kol assumed all the action was happening off campus. Kol left through the main gates, looking to see if anything... interesting was happening out there.

"Good to hear!" Arsenal replied. "I've been holding up fine, if you don't count the time where I got the snot beaten out of my by a Rahk with a sword."

    IC-Swarm (Gym)

Seeing as my arms were wrapped around the leg, I went down with it, consequentially avoiding the hook. I need a bit of room... I let go of the leg, flip on my back, and face my hands downward. A blast of level four cyclonic energy erupts, and I am sent flying backa few feet. I back roll to the left a bit, so as to avoid crushing my spine, and in an instant I'm up, drawing my warhammer. Necrosmith... Where was it? I look around. There! It was lying beside the titanic Rahk. I'll get it after I win... I set up in a defensive stance, waiting for Ezec's next move.

So, it seemed it was time to move again. In Fang's experience, Caoutchouc could handle himself, but everyone was so on edge that the possibility that he was alright didn't seem to occur to them.

As for Fang, he was going to take a nap. And maybe see if any of these trees had something edible in them.

    Curse this undeveloped mouth.

    "Gur... gurast! Gurast?!"

Half of them wished for nothing more than to see the murderer nearby, but the other half wished it to be as far away from it as possible.

It didn't look like the message was getting across. They sighed, and scratched at their shoulder pads. Their was something... irritating about their body. As if it was crawling, trying to move, despite the lack of organic matter outside of the main shell. It didn't matter terribly much though, it would just be nice to know what to call it...

And them too. These rahkshi. They must have some sort of name to go by.

    "Yuu-" No wait, "Nah- name?"

Perfect. Despite the itching in their vocal cords. That's the word! Itching. They were so smart.

"You're a level four plasma rahkshi," I paused, considered my next words for a few terse moments, then turned back to glare at Fang, "You're one of our greatest assets, loathe though I am to admit it." These were his rebels, his friends, yet he seemed content to kick back, relax, and let them march off into the toughest battle of their lives without him.

I was a pretty awful person a lot of the time, and as such I didn't have many friends, but the few I did have meant the world to me. The fact that Fang - someone far more compassionate, considerate and caring than I could ever be - would abandon his friends at a time like this absolutely astounded me. "So if it comes to a fight, and any of these rahks get hurt or killed because you were too lazy to pull your karzing weight, I'll be holding you responsible."

Fang lingered for a moment longer just to show how weary and frustrated he was, but he couldn't stay there. Though he didn't like it (and he really, really didn't like it), Xara was right. His infamous conscience pushed through despite his every attempt to hold it back on this venture. With a deep sigh, Fang pushed himself up and wandered over to the others.

Venom was gone, his strength was spent, and yet his resolve was burning bright once more. After all, he had dealt with worse. "Very well," he grumbled, trying to keep the anticipation out of his voice. "None will fall while I am there."
