  • IC Hollow

Hollow's growling had gotten deeper and deeper as the two spoke. He had resisted the urge to try and remove the weapon and the hand from Magnum Opus with great difficulty. "You prove it. Right now."

He straightened up again, his orange eyes glowing furiously at the two near the doorway. "When Xi is repaired we will meet you in the refectory. Then He will give the word of who to trust, and what happened. Decline the offer, and If I ever see you again you'll be behind that curtain." For a moment he swung his massive hand behind him, pointing at the pile of corpses behind the rather bland medical curtain.

He turned round and gingerly picked up Xi, the sudden, powerful appearance of the Rahkshi vanishing at the sight of his four-armed brother. "Be there before sunrise."

  • OOC: Whoops, I kind of forgot about somebody.

    IC: Tear - Infirmary

Hollow's rough shove as he moved past her was all Tear needed to fall onto a bed again. All of this shouting was terrifying, but all she could do was tuck her face into the sheets to muffle her sobs.

    IC: Canvas - Infirmary

Canvas' own pink eyes burned into Hollow with at least as much ferocity as he gave her. His threats didn't scare her. Even if he was capable of killing her, she knew Xi would corroborate her story. Even though she could give Hollow a dozen reasons right now why she couldn't have hurt him. For example, she was committed to the Fellowship of Peace, something Hollow knew perfectly well after he interrupted their last meeting. And why the Karz would she hurt Xi just to bring him all the way across the Causeway to leave him in the Infirmary?

But the time for all of that would come. The moron was busy cradling his brother (who just might have brain damage, and Hollow would only be making it worse). "Come on," she snarled to Magnum Opus. "Let's leave them to it."

Though she had come all this way to see the Fellowship again, Canvas wasn't planning on going there. There was no point in showing up without Xi and in such a state of agitation. She needed to go to her one respite: The Cauldron. After all, she had a promise to keep.

  • IC: Fate - Courtyard

I admired my handiwork. The body now rested, fully uncovered, inside it's earthen cradle. The body was so fresh, and the dirt came off so easily, it looked almost like they had just lain down for a long nap. To think, just a week or two earlier and I could have been making conversation with the corpse in front of me. A sigh escaped my jaws at the thought.

At this point I realized I hadn't thought to bring a stretcher with me. It might be a problem to carry back over my shoulder, but I'd rather carry it that run back and forth for a stretcher when the body could be disturbed while I was gone. I bent over and picked of the body by the armpits, and threw it over the left pauldron. The added girth that the rahkshi bore left me heaving for breath. I could walk at a steady pace, but I did not plan on carrying it for any longer than necessary. I started the return journey, huffing all the way.

"Where are your other friends? The four armed one, and the one afraid of spiders...err, you know who I mean."

I internally facedpalmed. Did I have to be so blunt?

I nod. "Alright, then. I'll go see what I can find on the subject at hand, then grab some of that... Whatever it is from the Refectory. It may be called food, but... It doesn't look like it. Anyways, I'll be back." With that said, I turn around and head back to the school. Let's hope there are no incidents today...

    IC: Mortsia - Dorm

I frown a little at the mention of terrorizing the Matoran, but after a moment's thought, I realize it would be the only real option. While not necessarily noble, it would keep them on high alert to prevent Rahkshi attacks. I nod. "So, what do we need for your cloak? Fabric? Lightstones?" I ask, hopping down.

    IC: Malattia - Infirmary

I look in shock at Hollow, who had just shoved Teer down. Don't pursue don't pursue don't... Well, that was a failed attempt. As much as I didn't want to start up any trouble, I couldn't just stand idly by as some brute denied his brother treatment for a fixable ailment... Not to mention they were being obscenely rude. I pursue after them. "Oy! What gives you the right to throw your weight around? Your acting like Icarax just promoted you to headmaster!" I shout at him as he rounds the corner.

And just as Hollow set Xi down on a bed, someone else came charging up from behind. Growling to himself, he rounded on them. "Before I bash your head in, try rephrasing that so I don't bash your head in" he grunted. "now stay away from Xi."

    IC Spindle

After large and abusive had bolted past, he had left a small dent in the door, which would be a good reminder as to watch out for him. He quickly darted in front of Tear, crouching behind the door and blocking them both from Hollow's sight.

A part of me wanted to wimp out and say I was sorry. Too late for that. "My point exactly..." I mutter under my breath, before speaking up. "You are making it seem like you are the miracle healer for... Xi, I'm guessing... And chasing away everyone who wants to help. This is making you appear really, really salty and unapproachable. You pushed over someone who couldn't fight back, and you shoved away two of your brother's saviors. So show a little gratitude, maybe?"

"Let's get one thing straight" He snarled, his eyes flaring again. "When you're in a school with supposed murderers, and everyone around you is armed to the teeth, you don't trust anybody. If those two were really helpers, I'll let Xi speak for himself on their behalf. Until then, I have as much right to grind them to powder as anyone else who comes too close to him."

"And that includes you, so don't get any ideas."

    IC Xi

Wow... Canvas sure dropped my head hard earlier.. It aches a ton. Oh, we're almost to the infirmary. Hopefully...

Xi's eyes slowly opened. He took a look of his surroundings.

There was Hollow, complaining with someone for the whatever-eth time - but at least nobody could hurt him with Hollow in the way. Someone else had a door with them, for whatever reason, and soft sobbing could be heard. "Take it easy, Hollow" he muttered softly, still only half awake. "I'm alright."

The much larger Rahkshi didn't move, but it was clear he acknowledged him.

"Actually, I don't believe I have, aside from you and Selpulchral here." I retracted my hand.

    IC: Fate - Hallways->infirmary

"This was a mistake," I huffed.

This rahkshi was so obtuse in design.

"How hard would it have been to get a few body modifications in life?" I paused, leaning against the wall, "Things would have surely been easier for the both of us. Perhaps you'd be breathing just as heavily I am now."

    ...Was I personifying this corpse?

I didn't want an answer to that question. I shifted the body, and continued trudging down the halls.

My long march came to another halt. I could see the entrance to the infirmary just a few bio down the hall, thank the great beings, but from inside I could hear nothing but shouting and yelling. This day wasn't going to get easier was it? A rahkshi stormed out, followed closely by another, to whom one of the voices no doubt belonged. No eye contact was made, my stare kept straight in line with my pace, towards the infirmary. Hopefully whoever came out next had the decency to watch where they were going, as I doubt that I could lift the body again, and dragging it in was an unsavory thought.

    IC: Slif - Gym

Well, that was enough of that. Fluid dripped down the fleshy bits of my body, a gross side-affect of my existence. I stretched my arms, going through the motions. My body certainly ached now, after a workout like that.

  • IC: Liar - Hallways

Letting out a sigh as he hopped back up to his feet, the Rahkshi of Dodge simply shook his head as he loomed over Mu.

"Alright, squirt," he said, stifling his boredom. "As much fun as this was, it's starting to become apparent that you're not too good at this, and this fight is getting really old, really fast. The time I'm wasting handing you your own keister could be put to much better use, like... defacing the outside of Icarax's office, or even... playing some rather ingenious pranks on some of the other unsuspecting students, for example. So here's what I'm going to do."

Crouching down on the floor and making sure that he was well outside the striking range of those spoons, he looked his opponent in the eye before continuing to run his mouth.

"I'm going to take off now, and find something more entertaining to occupy myself with. Feel free to escort yourself to the infirmary if you need to, or go train so you can try to return the favor later, but for now, we're done here. Just be grateful I let you off this easily."

And with that, Liar straightened himself out and prepared to skip gleefully away from the scene like a madman.

The school was doomed. Now that there were two Makuta within the walls, any potential chances of taking a stand against the Brotherhood had just been halved. Phogen had vanished into thin air again, Phantom-on-the-Water was destroyed, my demented sister was accumulating more power and influence with each passing day, and the only rahks I'd considered worth saving had already fled the school without me.

I had no reason to stay, and plenty of reasons to leave. So perhaps... That's exactly what I need to do.

Gathering up what few possessions I had, I got to my feet and headed for the door. I'd take one final tour of the school, say whatever goodbyes I had to, and quietly slip out into the night, just as the other rebels had likely done before me.

IC: Era - Forest of Kaam.

Zivon chirped brightly, beginning to spiral back down towards me, "Something's coming," I called out to the others, hoping it was an airborne Caotchouc that had gotten the hawk's attention, and not one of the Hand.

IC: Xara - Forest of Kaam.

At the sight of the returning bird, Sand meowed happily, probably already thinking of how nice the hawk was going to taste. Not for the first time, I wondered if taking my pet cat along with me had been the best idea...

    IC: Illusive - Gym.

The best place to find information about the school's best fighter was, of course, the gym. As Icarax had already indicated, Xara wasn't here. Now that I thought about it, she hadn't been here in several days. I started wandering the room, observing the various fights and listening in on conversations, trying to glean any snippet of intel about the missing rahk.

    IC: Sliver - Refectory.

Having left my weapons in the (hopefully) capable hands of Grim and the others, I headed not to the refectory, but to the nearest washroom. The supply of broken mirror fragments I'd brought from home had been exhausted, my satchel empty except for a thin scraping of glittering dust.

Supposedly, breaking a mirror carries the curse of seven years of bad luck, but I wasn't one for superstition. I'd broken plenty of mirrors already in my few months of existence, and yet the odds continued to favour me. My pathetic brother managed to best me in battle, only to be annihilated by a Visorak horde. I let loose a fully-fledged cyclone in the gym, yet none had died, and the punishment my peers had chosen was a comical farce.

So I set about my task, systematically shattering each of the mirrors into small, jagged shards, and carefully stashing them in my satchel. With my weapons gone, I wanted some way to defend myself that didn't involve unleashing the full, unpredictable fury of my powers on every rahk who challenged me. And since I was now going to be tasked with serving slop at the refectory, there was always the option of adding a pinch or two of glass dust to the meals of those who irked me...

    IC: Geuua - Armoury.

Picking out a nice-looking whetstone, I sat down on a bench in the corner of the armoury and began dragging it across Blazebreaker's sharp edges. While the hammer was still primarily a blunt-force weapon, I preferred not to let it get too dull. And while it would've been easier to sharpen the weapon using my powers, I found the conventional method strangely therapeutic.

It helped me relax, and after everything that had been happening, I decided I could use a little relaxation.

    IC: Sugil - Hallway.

Leaving the gym, I headed back towards my dorm. My head still hurt from my sister's surprisingly formidable blow, but I was mre concerned with the way her strike had shaken my confidence.

It appeared that my standing of superiority in this primitive culture was not as certain as I'd initially believed.

    IC: Glaciem Ignis - Dorm.

    You alright? You're limping.

No, I'm just dragging my foot.

    Why?

    Because I'm tired.

I know. So am I. But I'm not making a nuisance of myself.

Your nagging is a nuisance, so yes you are.

You are so immature. Stop being a pain, and hurry up.

Our dorm's right there, sis. Quit hassling me.

Why aren't you opening the door, then?

Why do I have to do it?

    Your hand's closer!

    Oh, for karz's sake... happy?

No. I'll be happy when we can get some sleep.

    On that, we can agree...

Reaching the bottom of the tower, I started making my way across the ash-strewn ground back towards the school.

    IC: Bonegleam - Graveyard.

The foundation of my new home had been established, but now I needed to make it more... homely? Rising to my feet, I switched to flight mode, and started back in the direction of the Causeway.
