IC: Lynae
It wasn't that much longer before the Black Queen returned home. She slowly slid onto her bed, watching Kristen a bit as the girl slept. Her fingers then slowly played with her hair, a small smile on her lips. She looked so innocent in her sleep, hardly the monster Alaric had described earlier.
IC:
"What are you, then? The embodiment of ego?"
IC:
"No, actually. Kinda funny, though, he's the one who receives the majority of worship in the world."
IC: Ashley
"I use Google Chrome."
IC:
"I think he's somewhat slow." I hissed through my teeth at Ashley.
IC:
"Uhm... Am I the same as them?" Trinity asked, "Am I... Human..?"
-
It was at Lynae's touch that Kristen awoke. The girl's eyes snapped open, searching about. Something was off to her. Something that just didn't seem right-
Who was touching her?
"L-lady Lynae!" Kristen exclaimed, starting to sit up, surprised at her arrival, "I... I didn't hear you walk in..."
IC: Lynae
"Cut the lady part, you make me sound ancient." She said with an aggravated sigh. "And good.. You weren't supposed to."
Lynae grinned and then continued to play with her hair. "So my little dove, how was your day?"
IC: Ashley
"Why are you arguing with an ancient, spiritual being? That never ends well."
IC:
"Simple. I don't believe him."
IC: Ashley
"I met this ancient Thunderbird lady once. I bet she could confirm some things, if we ever run into her."
IC:
"I... I was in here the whole time," Kristen said, looking up at her with wide eyes.
IC:
"I don't care if you don't believe me, child," Morrison said, humour in his voice. "Believe me or don't believe me. However, just remember that you have no reason to not believe in me."
IC:
"Sure. If we ever run into this thunderbird woman, you get I-told-you-so rights."
IC: Ashley
"I also met a leprechaun once, he told me I was the incarnation of Mother Nature...he also seemed to be drunk on cider."
IC:
...
"This is getting weird."
IC: Lynae
"Uh huh.. Of course you were." Lynae growled a bit as she stared at Kristen. "If you're lying and tell me the truth now, I won't get upset."
IC: Mikhail
"Maybe," he replied. "In a way, you are a lot more like me."
IC:
"I- I went and looked around a bit more..."
-
"Like... You..?" Trinity asked, starting to re-zip her jumpsuit, before remembering it had the HYDRA symbol on it... Suddenly, Trinity wasn't very keen on wearing the jumpsuit anymore. Especially with Aella's extreme dislike of HYDRA...
"What do you mean?"
IC: Lynae
The vampire grinned and patted the girl's head. "See? That wasn't so bad." She cooed, her fingers dropping to gently brush against the girl's cheek.
IC:
Kristen nodded, initially flinching at Lynae's touch, not expecting the pat on the head.
"Was the... Thing you were at, enjoyable?" Kristen asked, looking at Lynae as she felt her fingers brush against her face.
IC: Mikhail
"I was an artificial creation."
Ic:
"So if I'm like you... I'm not the same as Tera and Aella..." Trinity said, looking crestfallen, "Mikhail... What am I supposed to do..?"
NPC-Kris Kross:
Kris looked scornfully down at the would-be assassin, snorting at the man's words. "You stuck out like a sore thumb, kid," he said, his voice - a light, airy tenor - at odds with both his tone and scornful, annoyed expression. "Next time you want to try and kill somebody, do it where you can't be seen." Before Conrad could respond - or even protect himself - Kris's leg shot out for the barrel of the man's rifle, crushing it, in Kris's own words later, "Tighter'n when my dad crushed a can against his skull." He stepped forwards, purposefully forcing Conrad to move back towards Marky Mark. No better way to deal with the guy than by putting him in between two rocks...or maybe one rock and Marky's hard place. Nobody really knew for sure what Marky liked, but they had their guesses.
"Now, I would appreciate it if you would tell us just what it is you're doing, and why, and who it's for. You have two minutes, starting one minute ago."
IC:
Well isn't this just wonderful. Conrad's gears were turning while he stared the metal winged blue 'human' down with cold eyes. "I guess I'll go for the brutally honest approach." he shrugged.
"I was sent by Hydra to recapture two targets and I was planning on to cap one of their friends in the head when the two of you swooped down. Does that answer your question?"
IC:
Someone approached Warren slowly as he showed Betsy around the school, a disgruntled and wet Christine came up to him; dripping water all over the carpet.
"Ahem, Warren?"
"Sorry to inerrupt, Ah think I need to report something. One of your students has died."
IC: Mikhail
"What you are does not decide your future."
Ic:
Trinity shifted uncomfortably. By the look in her eyes, it was obvious she was trying to put this all together in her mind. Trying to make sense of everything.
"Then... What's going to happen?" She asked Mikhail, raising her face to look at him, "hydra... They want me back. True?"
IC: Ashley
"Weird? What do you mean?" Ashley looked at Song/Sierra and cocked her head, not understanding what the other girl meant.
IC:
"All this supernatural stuff."
IC: "This is when it started to get weird? Only now? I think that ship has sailed, yeah?" Nero commented with a somewhat wry grin.
IC:
"True." I said, looking up at Nero. "I think the exact moment my life got strange was when I discovered that I could rip my own skin off."
IC: Nero's eyes and grin widened "Fair enough." Nero replied "I don't think I could come up with a better moment, myself."
IC: Ashley
"My weirdest moment was finding out where the grocery store gets all the egg from..." Ashley sighed, then noticed the odd looks she was getting. "I was seven."
IC:
"The sad thing is that I knew how to inject heroin before I had The Talk." I frowned. "Mom didn't exactly have her priorities straight."
The young new English teacher watched in interest as teacher and student interacted. Is this what she should expect from her new students? Not that it was bad, just a bit more relaxed than what she was used to. Then again, mutant children would probably be a lot different in demeanor, she certainly had been.
"It was a pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Pryde. I'm over joyed that you and I will become coworkers." She gave Kitty a timid smile as she spoke, a slight blush on her cheeks.
Ic: "So, Mrs. Schneider, what has Kitty shown you so far?"
IC: Mikhail
"It is highly likely they will attempt to retrieve you," replied Mikhail. "But ... I will never let them."
IC: Lynae
"See? You told the truth and nothing bad happened..." She continued to gently run her fingers through the girl's hair.
"Anyway, it was...nice." The vampire said, her eyes somewhat distant as she spoke.
IC: Lilliana
"To be honest... Nothing really. I know some things since I was a student here once. Could you take me to an empty classroom, please?" She asked as she smiled a bit to her new guide.
"Also.. It's Ms... I'm not married."
IC:
Kristen nodded, deciding not to press the matter with her.
-
"If they are... Will they hurt Aella..?"
IC: Mikhail
"None of us will let them."
IC:
After some time John finally came back inside the mansion. He walked through the school silently, lost in his own thoughts. Deciding it was time he got that hot shower and shaved his face. He climbed up the stairs until he was wandering down the hallway of the school until he came closer to two figures. John paused when he instantly recognized the blonde female. It was Liliana. Oh god. John thought wanting to hide. I wonder if she will even recognize me... John was sure he looked strangely different now then he had.
With his white techno-organic eyes Daken had installed, his hair shaved down short, his gaunt and frail apperance and the thick black facial hair covering the lower half of his face, not to mention his new scars from being tortured. Yeah, John was pretty sure she wouldn't know who he was.
"To be honest... Nothing really. I know some things since I was a student here once. Could you take me to an empty classroom, please?" [Lilliana] asked as she smiled a bit to her new guide. "Also.. It's Ms... I'm not married."
Ic: "Oh! Certainly," Quinn quickly said, then tacked on, "Sorry about that -- it was a slip of the tongue. Follow me, then," he said and led the way down the hallway. His boots clicked softly as he strode quickly, challenging Lilliana to keep pace with the swift student.
"When were you a student here?" he asked her and gave her a sidelong glance to check on how she followed.
