OOC: Interact accepted. http://www.bzpower.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/cool.pngIC: Kirrel (CHI roof)The Toa of Kinetics liked to start the day off right. To him that meant using his mask to send him flying off to the top of the CHI building, before using some elemental power to slow his fall.Today was no different, besides the fact that he wasn't the only one on the roof today. "Hey lady, you alright?" Kirrel asked the other being there. A Kakama wearing Toa of Sonics, by the look of her armor and mask; who was also limping.IC: Daykia (CHI roof)Zakaro
IC: Thazris / Krazhia"Do you people ever learn subtlety?" Thazris asked, shaking his head. "Oh well. The guards are coming. We had best get moving now."With all of those guards, of course, there was never much of a problem...... especially considering that, as Thazris moved his arm to fire a spinner at enemies, he suddenly redirected it into his 'allies', where the Confusion power activated in a burst of energy that spread out to incapacitate the entire Technan group.OOC: A whole quests worth of faux character development was scheduled to proceed this betrayal, along with a half-truth story about his sad past as a former servant of the Brotherhood. But I guess now works just as well as when the explosives are being planted with the shield generators.-Toa Levacius Zehvor ![]()
IC-Yeirstro:Yeirstro held up his green sword, looking at all the hackers around him. Jaron did the same-neither of them had any weapons besides their swords."Bad move, sir," Yeirstro said.IC-Jaron:Jaron, meanwhile, tried something a little different. He found one hacker that he knew, and quickly linked up to his brain implant.>I'm trying to convince these people I'm with them, you fool!Yeah. Sure. Have fun dying, traitor.<Jaron shook his head, then began a mental push to try to break through the fellow hacker's firewall and various other security systems, memorized lines of code running through his mind as the other hacker did the same. Finally, a breakthrough. Jaron closed his eyes, his mind focused completely on his task. He sifted through layers of data, trying to find the perfect hiding spot while he also utilized the brain implant's connection to temporarily disable the other hacker. He input one line of code into the hacker's implant, one short line. Something he'd worked on quite a while, something that had a rather great use...but it required a lot of compiling first. The problems of being a programmer.>W32.Malfunction@mmHe disconnected, allowing the hacker free movement once more. He knew they were communicating more specific orders via implant-typical procedure, after all. Never let anybody know what you're doing by word of mouth. And soon, they'd all be having some problems. And so would Thazris, after Jaron activated his shield to protect himself from the blast, Yeirstro raising a few plants to absorb the energy before it would hit him.OOC: Computer worms, computer worms...trololololol!
NPC: CHI Door Guard (Hospital Wing, CHI)"Ma'am?" asked the fearful CHI door guard, careful not to get too close to the boss's attractive girlfriend: his temper was rumored to be severe at the moment, and angering his girlfriend was a quick way to end up on his ever-growing list of victims. "The boss wants to see you in the Situation Room."-Teezy
IC-Ryllia:"Not a problem," I said, standing up and beginning to walk my way over to where Esao was bound to be."I have something to tell him, anyways."
NPC: CHI Door Guard (Bullpen, CHI)"Uh, yes, ma'am!" said the door guard, dutifully leading Ryllia to the Situation Room."Special Agent in Charge Mandala?" asked the guard, and I snapped my head, catching sight of Ryllia's eyes."Bring her in, Tyrion. You can go now," I said, and the guard nodded his head, walking away.-Teezy
IC: Krayzikk and Athen"Krayzikk, plug me in."Krayzikk let out a mechanical sigh. "Fine." He reached around to the back of his neck, and unplugged a small, flashdrive-esque device, plugging it into a nearby console.***********************Moments later, the TV in the same room as Esao swiveled to face him. The nearby webcam did the same. The TV turned on, and Athen's avatar appeared grinning on the screen. Esao may, or may not, have noticed.IC: Mror"Why do I think you're lying through your teeth?"
IC-Ryllia:I nodded at the guard, then turned to Esao. "Esao," I said sweetly, grabbing his arm, "I have something important to tell you." I dragged his head close to me, then whispered two very specific words in his ear."I'm pregnant."
OOC: Uh-oh. *Backs away before Lev blows up in annoyance over broken canon*-==IC: Blade==-Blade's eyes flashed through confusion, annoyance, and just plain anger, as he used his Kualsi to get up to a nearby rooftop, and growled."That Piraka..." Blade muttered, as he whirled around, and attempted to look for Thazris quickly.OOC: Also, you're good Lev. =P
IC: Esao (Situation Room, CHI)"You...preg--with a baby?"Undoubtedly the question sounded stupid to Ryllia, but my brain was running at about negative 200 miles an hour. Time seemed to have slowed, liquefied, come to a screeching halt as she whispered in my ear...-Teezy
IC-Ryllia:I sighed, rolling my eyes. Did he always have to act like this?"Yes," I responded, before quickly pulling him into a hug and kissing him on the cheek.IC-Kal:"What's wrong with them?" Kal asked, turning over to Krayzikk. "Did she finally tell Esao the good news?"
IC: Esao (Situation Room, CHI)"That's...that's great...: I whispered, barely feeling her lips brush against my cheek. Now how was I supposed to humiliate Cysero?-Teezy
-==IC: Kairan//Albiore IIPost timeskip==-Kairan frowned, as the group had no clue where to go. He had wanted to go check out that place where the Albiore had nearly crashed, but figured that was a bad idea, given what had happened. He, therefore, headed in the opposite direction, and after about five hours, had reached the area near the volcano... And then he suddenly stopped the hovercraft, as he noticed a rather large explosion in the area near it."What the Karzahni was that!?" Kairan muttered, as he looked over in that direction, and noticed what looked like a city, and some smoke."We need to..." Kairan started to say, and then gripped his head, as another headache started up."Replica! Get over here... NOW! I'm stuck over in Krahzia; I need backup!" Blade's voice rang through Kairan's head, causing him to nearly lose control of the hovercraft; but managed to quickly regain control, as he panted, and hovered in place."...Get over there now..." Kairan finished, as he shook his head, to try and clear his head a bit."I'm guessing there's a fight there... That must be the source of the explosion..." Kairan mumbled, making the connection finally that that's what Blade had mentioned earlier.
IC: Krayzikk"What good news?"IC: AthenI grinned. Or rather, my avatar on the screen did. Then I laughed, the sound emanating through the room. I decided to make my presence, and knowledge, known. "So, Esao. I suppose now would be a bad time to mention that I re-calibrated this webcam when Ryllia started whispering? I heard almost everything. Except Ryllia's initial statement. And I can guess that."
IC: Esao (Situation Room, CHI)Before I could explain to the rest of the group, Cysero walked in, disconnecting a call on his link with a smug face."Have I missed something?" he asked, viewing Ryllia with her arms wrapped around me with barely disguised contempt."Everybody," I said, standing up and adopting the closest thing I could to a snide smirk. "This is Cysero Han'nare. Since we lost the old coffee guy in the gas attacks last night, Kal and the Department of Homeland Security saw fit to...hire a new one."-Teezy
IC: Emma - Albiore IIEmma got up and walked over to Kairan, "Kairan, mind telling me what's happening? You kinda...blacked out back there for a second. Blade getting in your head again?"-Void
IC: Skyra - Situation Room, CHI -Skyra had been sleeping for the past five hours. He woke up startled. "What the karz Krayzikk!? I told you not to let me fall asleep!" IC: Helsa - New Metru Nui -Helsa looked at Elirak. "What did happen anyway?" IC: Twila - Twila's apartment, Krahzia -Twila shrugged. "Beats me, you're just paranoid...or something...anyway...." She buried her head into her pillow.
IC-Kal:"Am I the only one who knew of this beforehand?" Kal asked, exasperated, before nodding to Ryllia. "Besides you, of course, miss Scylding...when will you become Misses Mandala, though?" He asked, smiling, then turned to the others."Ah, yes, Cysero." Kal cleared his throat uncomfortably. "I figured that Esao would make a good choice to be in charge of CHI, but knowing his specific...quirks...I felt the need to get him a good assistant." He gestured."And so I give you Cysero, seeing as he was the only one qualified.">In both arrogance and skills, Kal mentally sent to Esao, a slight grin on his face.
-==IC: Kairan//Albiore II==-"Yeah... But, it seems like he's in trouble, which is why he did that." Kairan said with a frown, as he started to propel the hovercraft toward the city of Krahzia, hoping this wasn't a bad idea.
IC: Esao (Situation Room, CHI)I grinned a bit and motioned for Cysero to leave."Darrick Bane's stuff has been moved to the cafeteria. Go ahead and move your stuff into the Chief of Staff's office. Krayzikk, Skyra, Kal, I want you three to head out into the bullpen and search for any leads on this assassin. I want money trails, known associations, past military contacts, anything of worth. Ryllia...my office. We need to talk."I closed my eyes, trying not to tear up out of pure joy. When I opened them again, they were clear, but the incessant grin at my face wouldn't go away.-Teezy
IC: Athen"Which skills are we referring to?" Athen directed the question toward Kal. "The ones where he hacks into Esao's computer and threatens to post all of his rather, ahem, interesting photos on the internet, or the one where he ticks him off until he actually works?"Krayzikk looked at Skyra. "Oh, deal with it. You missed out on an interrogation, and two more terrorist attacks. On it, Esao."
IC: Emma - Albiore IIEmma had lived through a great deal in her life. She had cut down dozens of Hackers without blinking an eye, she had survived a massive crash and explosions, before just standing up and brushing herself off. She had ran back into a toxin-filled building to save a group of people she didn't know or even like without hesitation. But hearing Kairan say that they were headed into Hacker territory to save a being who had attempted to kill them in the past, actually made her stop cold in her tracks."You've got to be kidding me," she said finally, "We're going into the Rock Lion's den? The three of us against all of them?!"-Void
IC, Kinvex: "What? In there? We'll never survive!" said Kinvex. He wasn't sure about going into the Hacker's lair.
IC-Kal:Kal raised two hands up in the 'I don't know,' gesture. "Both, maybe?" He said weakly. "I was only hired to this job yesterday, get off my back." He debated unplugging Athen's flashdrive and shoving it back into Krayzikk, but he didn't know what either of them would do to him later.IC-Ryllia:"Whatever you say," I told Esao, my arms still around his neck. "But only this once."
-==IC: Kairan//Albiore II==-"We have something they don't; the Albiore." Kairan pointed out."We mostly just have to get in, grab whoever needs saving, and get out. Preferably without being shot down again..." Kairan said, and paused."Plus... I need to find something out..." Kairan thought, as he recalled the crash, and how he had escaped relatively unscathed...
OOC: Still need a response from Gust, TD. But I feel like it's time to activate this fully armed and operational PC weapons system.IC: Thazris / KrazhiaThe worm sent out by Jaron would face the difficulties of being sent against somebody who was also a master of hacking and programming, and had set up firewalls of his own, plus other hidden defenses, to keep out worms such as the one being sent out. What he said, or had said to him, would not be so readily available.Thazris activated his brain implant, and sent out messages of all of the guards in the area, detailing a list of all the powers the group had used in the previous mention, and marking all - save him, of course - as hostile. Soon enough, he would have allies at his side.Maybe. They might just shoot him, too, when it came down to it. But nobody knew he was responsible for what had happened - the others were obviously Technans. And Toa, to boot. Nobody could honestly expect somebody wearing the symbol of the Brotherhood of Makuta to be a Technan, now could they?"Swords? Really?" Thazris muttered, as he telekinetically pulled on the blades, attempting to rip them from their users hands, and into the sky above, where they could be tossed away with ease.-Toa Levacius Zehvor ![]()
IC: AthenI grinned. There was a 89.78% chance he was contemplating unplugging me, at least based on the program I wrote shortly after I came online. "Don't even think about it."I let out a laugh. I loved being a part of the mainframe, I could access so much more information.Krayzikk sighed. "Athen, control yourself. We have work to do."I grinned again. "I am working. As we speak I'm going through the turncoat's records."
OOC: And so my role in this RPG begins...IC: TorchTime: 0615Tarei, Umbrae capital citySomewhere near Northern Volcano* * *A blur of red and gray -- the stars blinded -- heat rising in the cockpit -- Torch braced himself as the ground filled the front window, well aware such a movement would help him not--The Toa of Plasma's head pounded with preternatural fervor; his limbs ached; his eyelids must have gained weight since he had blacked out, for they ignored his brain's orders and remained obstinately shut. Beneath his side, through his armor, he felt cold metal. A pity he hadn't thought of grabbing an insulated set of spacewalking armor before the crash-landing.He couldn't feel his fingers. Experimentally, he twitched his hands, first right then left, and bent his digits in turn. Repeating the procedure with his legs and feet indicated none of Torch's extremities had been lost during impact.A deep breath, a rush of blood beneath his audio receptors, and a rumbling stomach finished the roll-call of vital organs. On Torch's to-do list, right under ensuring he was alive, was observing his surroundings. This proved to be a problem; his eyelids were unwilling to comply, and only with an almighty application of willpower was Torch able to pry them apart. He blinked once, twice. The room was darker than he had expected; the low light was a plus, though, as it allowed his retinas to adjust at their own pace. From the taste in the roof of Torch's mouth, he had been out for at least a week, perhaps longer; had someone recovered his body from the crash site in that time? The room's bare, dark, metal interior provided no clues of the identity of Torch's rescuer.A frown deepened Torch's brow. Emotion, so long absent from Torch's face, flexed complacent muscles. The Toa of Plasma's brain seemed to whir a little faster now; a stray thought surfaced during Torch's mental eye's startup sequence: Better safe than sorry. A fitting sentiment for Torch's current situation: If he was in unfriendly territory, his steps would need to be cautious. He ponderously rose up onto his elbows and into a half-sitting position, stopping to allow his shoulders a moment of rest before moving his torso to a ninety-degree angle to his legs.Light.Torch blinked in the sudden illumination. His fighter's instinct, so long dormant, was slow to react; when react it did, its only action was to quicken Torch's heart rate. Perhaps that was smart: Sudden movements would startle whoever had turned on the lights, and the last thing Torch needed after waking up from a near-coma was a fight--"Good morning."To Torch's left, just behind his peripheral vision, a beast leaned against the wall near a concealed door. It (or he? -- she?) was at least seven feet tall, with spindly limbs ending in clawed extremities, black skin and gunmetal-gray armor, spines running along its back, and burning yellow embers for eyes.A hesitant, crooked smile graced its thin, stony face. It stood deliberately, its near-perfect balance made apparent in its easy movements. "My name is Eidos," said the beast, grating voice obviously male; "I need you to answer some questions."
IC-Yeirstro:"Why, yes, in fact," Yeirstro said, keeping his grip on the blade, allowing Thazris to lift both him and Jaron into the air, out of the path of a quick blast of bullets. The Toa of Plantlife then manipulated an underground vine, allowing it to come up and trip Thazris, making him lose concentration both of the Toa in the Air. They came down on their feet, ready to head sprinting.Yeirstro turned his head to Jaron. "You ready to move?" He asked quickly, Tension building up already."Always."Jaron activated his Hau, running in front of Yeirstro to protect him from the hale of bullets heading their way-thankfully the alley they were in created a bit of a funnel, and the hackers on the sides had yet to prepare their weapons.Yeirstro swung out with his sword, slicing one hacker in the stomach. He quickly grabbed the disemboweled man's pistol, firing upon the surprised hacker's friends. A few plants burst up out of the ground, tossing the dead men's weapons over."Keep that shield up, firefly," Yeirstro said to Jaron, handing the Toa of Fire a rifle. He checked the ammo on the submachine gun he had picked up...it had a mostly full drum magazine, three hundred rounds right there. "Let's go."Jaron grinned, slamming his swords together into the hoverboard he had, jumping atop it and pulling Yeirstro on as well. The flew up above the hackers."Hold on tight," Jaron yelled through the wind, before executing a quick flip on the board.Holding on with one hand, Yeirstro fired the submachine gun with the other, firing a hail of random bullets into the hackers with a short burst, a few of them going down, a few firing back.Jaron flipped them back upright, the bullets pinging against the bottom of his shield."MOVE!" He yelled to the others down on the ground, before grabbing the rifle and laying well aimed supressing fire on Thazris.
IC: Thazris / KrazhiaA field of telekinetic energy emerged from the titan, causing the bullets to harmlessly deflect from in front of the powerful being. An illusory wall of stone, constructed the way a true Toa of Stone would do so, arose before the duo, providing just enough shock to stop them for a moment. That moment was all it took for a figurative lasso of telekinesis to reach out and envelop the pair. With a pull of his hand, Thazris attempted to yank the two back, as a fisher-Matoran would have reeled in a Ruki.Illusory soldiers came rushing in from multiple directions, weapons at the ready and aimed. With all of the running, and the limited auditory components, it would be difficult for one to recognize them as the fakes they were - a sweep to detect heat signatures from Jaron, or to note there was no air coming out from Airu, might do it, but in the midst of combat, that's hardly ones first priority.Kill enemies first, ask questions/determine nature later.-Toa Levacius Zehvor ![]()
IC-Jaron:Jaron growled, feeling the tug, the loss of speed, but the board stayed in the air. He wouldn't be able to get them down that easily. Meanwhile, he slowly began to heat up the air around Thazris...an extra twenty...forty...sixty...hundred degrees...Jaron stopped counting after that point. After a certain amount of time in their battle of wills, the real bullets bounced off of Jaron's Hau-shield or his board-shield. He noticed something odd, though. As the air around Thazris became more and more uncomfortable, some things seemed to change. There were small dots flying past Jaron's eyes, in the same trajectory of some of the bullets. The soldiers wavered slightly, almost like they missed a second in the universe. The wall itself, in front of him, appeared less...solid, somehow. Jaron narrowed his eyes, and conducted a quick heat sweep.Yep, illusions. A lot of illusions. Jaron growled, picking up the rifle again, and keeping the air around Thazris heating up.Until Yeirstro grabbed his shoulder, stopping him. "Trying to make our way out of this like that won't work well," the Toa of Plantlife said to the Toa of Fire. "Airu and the other can hold the soldiers...and Thazris off. What we need to do is get help, to more effectively save them.""No!" Jaron snapped. "I don't abandon my team, not now, not ever! We're getting them out of this somehow!" He made a few shots towards Thazris, then shot at a few of the actual soldiers on the ground. They fell and didn't move."You won't be abandoning them. You'll help to make sure they live," Yeirstro said calmly, as he fired another quick burst down at the soldiers beneath and behind them.Jaron stood still for a moment, his rifle still aimed downward, arguing with himself. "If they die," he growled, "I'm blaming you." He quickly fired downward at the soldiers again, no real aim, just making them duck downward as he quickly turned the board, flying out the city, towards New Metru Nui.OOC: Yes, Tyler said something about the shield barrier being down, don't sue me.
-==IC: Kairan//Albiore II==-The funny coincidence of that, was that as Yierstro and Jaron were making their way out of the city, they'd notice the Albiore heading toward the city."... Hey, do you see something?" Kairan asked, as he noticed what looked like someone on a hoverboard heading toward the border of the city, even as they approached.
OOC: Meh. You're just servants, and you still have to deal with KNIs servants, who will be much more unforgiving than I am.IC: Thazris / KrazhiaThazris backed away from the heated zone, allowing the duo to escape. He still had a dangerous opponent here."Airu Sin'Clair, General. I knew who you were the moment I saw you. I'll be in the Towers highest levels once I manage your recapture."Telekinetic fists began pummeling the infamous Toa from all directions.-Toa Levacius ehvor ![]()
IC, Kinvex: "Huh, it looks like people," said Kinvex. "I wonder where they're going..."
-==IC: Blade==-"You forgot someone." Blade said, as a bolt of lightning flew toward Thazris' direction."You might want to pay attention to more than one opponent at the time." Blade stated, ready to move if needed, especially after witnessing the earlier fight.-==IC: Kairan//Albiore II==-"Looks like they're headed away from the city..." Kairan said with a frown.
IC: Thazris / KrazhiaThazris leaned forward about an inch, and the lightning bolt flew past."I never forget, Toa. I just ignore."A massive construct of fire pulled itself from the ground at that moment, growling at Blade. The creature seemed so incredibly real, the flames flickering in such a way that none could possibly believe it to be fake, if sight were there only sense. The beast reached to the ground, ripping for a huge stone from the ground, and slamming its massive arm down, attempting to crush Kairan with the stone. The stone, unlike the construct, was very, very real, and being moved telekinetically. Gravity was working for it, too, as it descended on the veteran lightning user.-Toa Levacius Zehvor ![]()
IC: Hrunja"Want to move forward?"
IC: Elirak (NMN)"Nothing. Absolutly nothing!" I said, trying not to burst out laughing. It was a very hard thing for me to do, and the occasional chuckle escaped me. "Ok, so, I go in there; deliever a message; get held up a bit; get forgotten; then remembered again; then I'm taken to some guy's office; and then I'm forgotten again. For like two friggin hours. Eventually, I just walked out, and nobody cared.""So, what did you do while I was gone?"
IC: Esao (Situation Room, CHI)"How many times have I heard you say that?" I muttered, standing up and leading her to my office. Gesturing for her to take the open seat, I plopped down in my chair and put my head in my hands, laughing excitedly."Are you...sure?"-Teezy
IC-Ryllia:"Positive."IC-Yeirstro and Jaron:Yeirstro and Jaron had managed to make it out of the north-east corner of the city, the part of the shield that had been put down...barely. They still had loads-o'-cannons firing at them.Which the two were attempting to dodge now."Left!" Yeirstro yelled, looking back at a cannon shot fired at them. He held on, feeling a lurch as Jaron's board moved in the direction specified, feeling the heat as the plasma shot by them."Up! Up, up you fool!" He yelled quick after, the board he was on doing a backflip in order to avoid another shot. Yeirstro saw a craft moving in, and sent a message to its central computer, that the pilot would be able to read.>Situation hot. Unspecified number of hackers, multiple cannons. Two friendlies left behind, one turncoat, D.H. Conjurer's species. Activate shields advised.Jaron then waved at the hovercraft as he flew past it, before flying down low to avoid a plasma blast. He saw multiple layers of the hovercraft's armoured skin peel away from the sheer heat of the plasma, the electromagnetic interference causing the craft to temporarily lose control and drop slightly. He felt something thump against the underside of his board, lower to the ground, and then he was thrown up in the air, the board and Yeirstro flying with him. He grabbed his board/shield, landing on the ground the moment he did so, Yeirstro doing the same and rolling a few meters."Karz," he cursed, standing up quickly and moving over to Yeirstro. The Toa of Plasma was unconscious. He slung the being over his shoulder, before hopping back on the board and moving quickly over the landscape towards New Metru-Nui, this time below radar.
