-==IC: Kairan//Albiore II==-Kairan frowned, as he read the note, and looked around the controls, and pressed the button that was hopefully the one to activate the shields, as he began to attempt to both keep the Albiore in the air; and away the most of the plasma beams that were shooting at them."... Next time I suggest something like this... STOP ME!" Kairan said, as he frowned, barely dodging out of the way of the beams."If anyone has good ideas of how to destroy those cannons, I'm all ears."OOC: xD-==IC: Blade//Krahzia Fight==-Blade frowned, as he quickly teleported to the side enough to dodge the rock, and sent a bolt of lightning straight through the illusion."I know your powers, Thazris. You showed off a little too much in that last fight." Blade stated with a frown.OOC: Say, he is with the Hackers, right?
IC: Krash (Krahzia)Krash happily stood there, staring off into the distance, insane smile on, completely ignoring anything that was happening. "Yes, I do understand the odds, Bobix. Isn't that why I-ANDDD IT'S A TOUCHDOWN!!! THE CROWD-" he said, acting like a broken radio. IC: Daykia (CHI roof)Daykia stopped as a thud sounded in her ears, followed by a voice. "Hey lady, you alright?" Turning, she saw a light-grey armored Toa on the roof. After assessing him for a second, she answered the Toa. "Yes, I'm alright."Zakaro
IC: Kirrel (CHI roof)The Toa shrugged and said, "Ok, just-a wondering." He wasn't going to argue, what was the point? Kirrel then turned towards the elevator and made his way inside, Daykia seemingly forgotten.
IC: Esao (Special Agent in Charge's Office, CHI)My heart jumped at the reply, and I looked out at the charred and damaged office absentmindedly."And it's definitely...mine?" I asked weakly.-Teezy
IC: Daykia (CHI)Watching him go, Daykia stood there for a few seconds, wondering what she had done. 'I wasn't being that cold.. was I?' she thought to herself. After pondering it for a few more seconds, Daykia shook her head, confused, and limped into the staircase.Zakaro
IC: Kirrel (CHI Roof)The Toa of Kinetics continued walking, whistling a self-composed tune. His walk, however, came to a rather rude stop when his head slammed into sign across the elevator's doorway. "Out... Of... Order, what the Karz is this!?" he said, taking a step back to read the sign. "And who puts a sign at head-level?"Kirrel sighed, did a one-eighty on one foot, and walked back over to were he started. He took a deep breath, and started again: this time towards the stairs."Oh, hello there again," he said happily once he spotted Daykia.
IC: Daykia (CHI stairs)"... Hello." she said, wondering to herself why he had decided to take the stairs. After linping to a landing on the stars, Daykia turned to the Toa and phrased her thoughts. "So, why didn't you take the elevator?" she asked, lime-green eyes holding a questioning look.Zakaro
IC: Kirrel (CHI)"Huh? Oh, yeah, there was a sign that I ran into that said "Out of order". Naturally, I decided to take the stairs instead," he replied, as if he were discussing the meaning of life with the Toa of Sonics. It was strange, to say the least. That and he looked at her while speaking, but continued walking; twisting his head to keep her in his sight.
IC: Daykia (CHI stair)"Really? In my experience I've found the elevators to be always working. If I had to guess why they weren't, it'd be because of the recent Hacker activity." Daykia said, all the while continuing down the stairs. As she was actually looking where she was going, Daykia didn't notice Kirrel's antics.OOC: Yes. I called it antics.

OOC: TD, still need an Airu post.
Nope; Chuck Testa.IC: Thazris / Krazhia"Oh well." Thazris replied with a shrug, dodging to the side of the attack. "Hard way it is."Illusory Ice Bats exploded into existence, surrounding Blade from every direction and completely blocking line of sight - which is, after all, what makes a Kualsi work. He reached out and telekinetically grasped for Blade, with the intent of crushing him.-Toa Levacius Zehvor"And it's definitely...mine?" I asked weakly.
-==IC: Blade==-Blade, however, simply moved his hand to the side, and fired off a return fire bolt of lightning, even as he attempted to roll to the side; not to avoid the bats, but to avoid getting grabbed.
OOC: He's on a roof, right?IC: Thazris / KrazhiaThe insubstantial bats were enough of an obstruction for Thazris to have moved away, as the real guards would began pouring into the clearing. The lightning blast soared past.A number of stones folded up from the rooftop, rising up as Blade moved and flying at him in a shell. Was it an illusion, though, or real?It was real, of course, and the bricks moving provided a solid target as the titans Rhotuka spinner struck the stone, causing a confusion burst to be released in close proximity to Blade. All he needed to do was hit the Toa with one of those bursts, and the guards would be able to capture him with ease.-Toa Levacius Zehvor ![]()
IC-Ryllia:"Why yes," I said, somewhat sarcastically. "It is. Hard to believe, I know." I smiled. "You remember that Reunion op, right after we touched ground?" I nodded at his surprised expression."Yeah. You forgot something on that mission."
IC: Esao (Special Agent in Charge's Office, CHI)And suddenly, it clicked. I stood up and walked over to Ryllia, kneeling down in front of her and kissing her, finally allowing myself to tear up a bit."Listen, alright? It doesn't matter. This is the best thing that's ever happened to me. To...us."I couldn't help but smirk a bit."You knew when you came here tonight, didn't you?"-Teezy
IC-Ryllia:"Yep," I said. "They found out when they were fixing me up after the Umbrae attack." I smiled."It seems that somehow, Kal has known longer than either of us." I smiled wider. "And yet he still says that he was just randomly picked for his job. Gust must have known something more, though."OOC: Plot-twists again!
IC: Esao (Special Agent in Charge's Office, CHI)"And...the baby's okay after you got stabbed?" I asked, slightly afraid of the answer. "No damage or anything?"-Teezy
IC-Ryllia:"Perfectly fine," I said. "Missed completely. The xenobiologists seem to think that the Umbrae may have some taboo against harming any children...personally, I think they just missed," I finished, and pulled Esao tighter."I think that we ought to get married soon, don't you?" I said in his ear, feeling him tremble slightly.
IC: Esao (Special Agent in Charge's Office, CHI)"Yeah," I whispered, moving in and kissing her cheek with a small smirk. "Yeah, I guess we should."-Teezy
OOC: He might have moved when he Kualsi'd away last time, but I think he just moved over a bit to attack.-==IC: Blade==-Blade frowned, and teleported away to another roof, as the confusion blast hit nearby where he was a moment earlier. Blade whirled around, and looked for where the piraka who had betrayed the group was.
IC: Emma - Albiore II"Well, let's finish this. Preferably before we got shot out of the sky," Emma said, raising her hand, tearing the atoms in the nearest plasma beams apart, rendering them useless. However, the lasers were soon replaced by even more, intent on ripping the ship and its occupant apart.Ducking down, the Toa tapped on several of the switches on the dashboard, sending more power to the forward shields, "Now then, Kairan. Let's get this over with, and find Blade."-Void
IC: Thazris / KrazhiaThat so-called Piraka wasn't concealed, but that hardly mattered. More illusory bats came (literally) out of nowhere, now programmed to follow Blade. As nothing more than illusions, attacks and speed would be pointless. They'd just keep being there, keeping him from seeing anything - and using that mask.-Toa Levacius Zehvor ![]()
IC: Krayzikk and AthenI growled in frustration, showing my frustration in a decidedly organic way. I would have to look into that. "I don't understand it, Krayzikk. Everything about tis guy screams 'clean'. No unusual habits, no unusual bank records. This guy lived in a decent house, if anything too spartan for someone of his income."Krayzikk nodded. To anyone else his face and tone would have been expressionless, but I knew better. The former detective was deep in thought. "Any living relatives?""Let's see...." I remarked, accessing the flow of information once more. "Yes. A sister, registered on the ship before the crash. She moved into an apartment after the crash. You want an address?"
IC: Gust (Supervisor's Office, The Citadel)"And...you're sure of this.""Of course I am. I was, after all, programmed by the Umbrae. It's one of their chief legends."Gust sighed and looked at the stack of papers across his desk."I just can't believe it.""Believe it or not, it's true. My masters have foreseen all, and they are never wrong."He sighed again."Alright. Go. Watch him. Stay in the computer systems. Make sure that you can't be seen by anything."With a nod, Equinox's avatar dissipated, and Gust turned to look at the pieces of paper strewn across his desk. As Equinox had related the prophecy to him in the Umbrae language, Gust had tried in vain to find something that could prove it was a coincidence. He had translated the legend into every single language of the Matoran Universe, and a lot more outside of it. Still, the prophecy always ended the same way."The father will kill the son," he whispered sadly, staring at the words scrawled in blood red ink. Crumpling up the papers, he tossed them into a wastebin and walked out of the room, going to get some breakfast.OOC: Next hour. Current in-game time is 7:00 A.M.-Teezy
IC-Kal:Kal moved out from his office in the citadel, where he'd been taking a brief nap, seeing Gust moving off towards the cafeteria. He hurried after the Toa Techna of air, catching up with him quickly."Hello, Gust," he said. "Looks like you and I both had a long night, eh?"
-==IC: Kairan//Albiore II==-Kairan growled, as different attacks attempted to take the ship and it's occupants down; however, thanks to Emma's quick thinking, the majority of the attacks hit the ships shield, and didn't do all that much damage to the actual ship... Though the damage that was done would really need to be looked at later on.OOC: We might have gotten in relatively safely, but no-one said anything about getting out yet. =P-==IC: Blade==-Blade growled, and teleported out of the way before the bats could block off his vision, whirling around, and firing off a bolt of lightning at where he had noticed Thazris before he moved; aiming to at least distract him for at least a moment.
IC: Thazris / KrazhiaBy the time Blade had turned to the battlefield once more, and was ready to aim, there were not one, but four of Thazris standing down in the clearing. Then the bats came, and there was nothing to be seen. The real Thazris, who had shuffled over to the side, watched as one of his duplicates was 'hit'; an illusory bolt of lightning bounced off and hurtled away. Though the real bolt had just passed through, what was seen was the being simply deflecting a bolt of lightning off of himself.-Toa Levacius Zehvor ![]()
IC: Emma - Albiore IIAs the ship shook violently, Emma only just managed to hang on, and preventing herself from slamming into the walls."Kairan, I don't think we're gonna make it if we keep flying. The lasers are too concentrated on our position. We need to go lower," she said, her brain desperately trying to think of something that might get themselves out of this mess.-Void
-==IC: Kairan//Albiore II==-"I agree." Kairan said with a nod, as he moved the Albiore down, hoping that it would be enough to prevent the hackers from having Spicy Toa Legs that night.OOC: =P
IC: EidosTime: ~0620Tarei, Umbrae capital citySomewhere near Northern Volcano* * *He's a noble one.I agree, my gaze taking in the prisoner's golden armor and muscled body. His thoughts buzz fervently enough for me to take notice without applying telepathy; he's worried, disoriented, probably still bewildered about waking up at all. I cannot blame him."Who are you?" he asks.I shrug. "Who am I, indeed?"His thoughts turn fiery. An excitable fellow, then, says my voice. Indeed, I reply."You want to give me a straight answer?" He is standing now, fists half-clenched as if he's not sure whether to pummel me, attempt to escape, or break down.I'm not the type to take chances, so I opt for a straight reply: "You're a stranger. I don't deal with strangers." Logical and straightforward enough for even a being of his mental caliber to understand."Nor do I," replies the being. So he does understand the concept of trust, and, from the iron tone in his voice, he understands it well."How about a compromise?" I suggest, taking a step forward, my fingers curling gently at my sides. "You answer my questions. I answer yours. We end this conversation."He shrugs, clearly ambivalent toward the idea. Too bad he doesn't have a choice in the matter; he must realize, for he says, "First question.""Your name?""Torch. Toa Torch." He looks the title of hero and Torch; I make a mental note to study his species' naming system. "Next?""Why have your people come here?"I gather an impression of painful memories surfacing from his subconscious mind. "Accident," he says. I shake my head. "No accident. Your starship was on a direct course for this planet before it turned at the last second. I was stargazing that night. I saw it.""You saw wrong. Our ship was hit by an energy burst from this planet; it wasn't under power."Again I shake my head. "False. No odd energy readings from our planet were detected whilst your starship approached--""There's so much radiation here -- to Karz if I could pick up a blip in this environment--""--and the Techna Nui was under full power till after you attempted to turn away."Torch's bewilderment stems not from my recognition of the starship's name -- it was, after all, printed in bold insignia on the near side of the starship -- but from the latter part of my statement. "Full power?" he questions; I nod, and he says quickly, "Whatever was happening, it was not intentional on our part."Earnestness is on his mind, so I leave be that line of questioning. "Why have your people set up permanent base here?""I know nothing about that--""Allow me to rephrase. Why would they have?"Torch frowns. "Because the starship is beyond repair?""It's amazing how much falsehood may be born of earnestness."He sees through the statement's non sequitur face value as if it were glass. A few choice words echo in his head. "Some straight answers," he mutters."That's how I work," I tell him.He almost rolls his eyes."Considering your obvious high position on the starship," I continue, "I would think you would know that a vessel as armored as the Techna Nui, that size, moving that speed into a surface composed of mainly granular stone would still have enough of its workings intact to reconstruct. The raw minerals are on this planet."This time he can't help but roll his eyes. "How was I supposed to know that?"I say nothing, only touch his mind with but a waft, a faint, smoky tendril of mental energy. His eyes falter; an involuntary shiver runs down his spine, and he squares his shoulders in an effort to hide it.So he is vulnerable. Good. Was there any doubt? I retort.No. Just chance. That settled, I lean back against the wall, saying simply, "Your turn.""Your name?" he asks."Privileged information.""Your species?""Privileged information.""My location?""The same planet you crash-landed on.""A fat lot of good that does me."I smirk, gesturing vaguely with my left index finger. The door behind me opens with a near-inaudible hiss. "That's the point, Toa Torch. Good day. A meal will be brought in shortly."I step backward, expecting him to charge, but he only watches with a cold gaze as the door cuts him off from freedom."Your results?" asks the jailer, seated by the one-way window of Torch's cell.I'm already walking past him to the exit that will lead into the main corridor of the war prison. "Name's Torch. Title of Toa. Isn't as good an engineer as he thinks he is."* * *OOC: Consider a time-skip to occur after this post so the time for Eidos and Torch is now equal with the current in-game time.
IC: Hrunja"Should we start moving?"
IC: Ezraftin / Wreckage of the Techna-Nui"Yes." Ezraftin replied. "We'll need to slip through the remains of the Housing District, if we want to survive. We can use the corridors to our advantage, where their numbers mean little. Unless you feel we can take them head on."He indicated to the masses of robots in front.-Toa Levacius Zehvor ![]()
IC: Hrunja"I prefer the former. So, let's get moving, we don't have eternity."
IC: Ezraftin / Wreckage of the Techna-NuiGiving the signal to the rest of the group below to follow, Ezraftin descended the makeshift flight of stairs he had used to climb up. He stopped for a moment, before making a surprisingly quiet sprint southwards, towards the border of the city where the Housing District had once been.-Toa Levacius Zehvor ![]()
IC: HrunjaHrunja smiled as he quickly followed the younger Toa, making sure to not create any sound.
IC: Gust (The Citadel, New Metru Nui)"Yeah," muttered Gust, his mind still focused on what the virus had told him. "And it's shaping up to be just as long a day. Want some breakfast?"IC: Equinox (Torch's Cell, Tarei)As Torch watched his captor leave, a brief several seconds went by before a handsome, young-looking Toa of Air began to piece himself together as though from air. The Toa Techna of Plasma's eyes widened as a purple-eyed, cockier-looking version of Gust winked at him and smiled a bit."You look terrible, my friend."OOC: Airu post coming when I get home.-Teezy
IC: Kirrel (CHI)The Toa, unfortunatelly not looking where he was going, tripped over a set of stairs. His eyes went wide, but he didn't make a sound as he fell foward.Only to stop a second later, having used his power to hold himself in place. Kirrel released the elemental hold once he regained his balance, and continued on down the stairs as if nothing had happened. However, this time he was careful to watch where he was going."Yes, that has to be it."
IC-Kal:"Why not?" Kal asked, smiling slightly. "After all, food always makes you feel better." He opened up the door to the cafeteria for Gust, following in after the Toa Techna of Air."Oh, something funny: After checking the banking record last night, I noticed that I had about three-thousand more widgets than I should have. Would you or Esao have had anything to do with that?"
OOC: What the...?IC: TorchTime: ~0650Tarei, Umbrae capital citySomewhere near Northern Volcano* * *"What the...?"Torch looked around himself, but no one else was in the cell. IC: Krash (Krahzia)Amazingly, Krash still hadn't been hit. Then again, he was still standing near his bag, which was in the middle of a now-abandoned street. He sat down, smiled, and promptly fell over onto his bag, asleep.IC: Daykia (CHI)Hearing a sound or two, Daykia paused, and then turned towards Kirrel. "Forgive me for presuming, but Gust's memories of you are quite...vivid."He winked at the imprisoned Torch and waved."In case you're wondering, yes, he is fine. It's just that I've been a part of Gust for so long that his form is the one I've become most comfortable using."IC: Gust (The Citadel, New Metru Nui)"No, I wouldn't," said the Toa Techna, plucking a fruit from the first row of the buffet and surveying his breakfast choices. "You could call Esao in a bit and ask him, though. Hospital staff says your guy checked him out about an hour ago."IC: Esao (Special Agent in Charge's Office, CHI)My talk of marriage to Ryllia was interrupted by a knock at the door."What is it?"
