Corpus Rahkshi

IC: Rider

Rider nodded. "See ya Raptor." Claws, who was chasing the Gukko around the room, stopped and followed Rider, clicking happily.

IC: Raptor

Raptor saw the two Rahks leave.

"See ya 'round, then!"

IC: Revenge

Revenge walked to the Gym with Rider.

IC: Rider

Rider approached the gym. He didn't notice the others fighting so he got into a free space and stood. "Alright. You ready?" Rider said, drawing his Wakizashi.

IC: Revenge

"Ready,"  Revenge 'densed up' and motioned for Rider to make the first move.

OOC: This is kind of confusing. Metal attacked me, then had a conversation with someone else, who later also attacked me, without giving me time to respond to the first attack. Makes it sound like my characters stood there and waited patiently while you guys had your chat, which they wouldn't have. Just keep this sort of thing in mind in future. 

IC: The Twins.

Silencer saw Metal preparing to unleash a Power Scream and threw up his silence field once more. He was a moment too slow, and the start of the Power Scream sent him reeling, a flash of pain shooting through his skull. Illusive reacted immediately, throwing himself at Metal. However, another Rahkshi intervened, flinging a trio of knives at him, which narrowly missed where he'd been standing moments before. He paused, deciding which of the two to attack first.

Silencer made the decision for him. Still thinking clearly enough to maintain the silence field, he drew Legion, draining the light from around them until their corner of the gym was shrouded in near-impenetrable darkness. He quickly stuffed the glowing chain into a thick pouch of his belt, leaving the four of them stranded in complete darkness. Then he attacked, flinging his flail at where Metal had last been standing. 

IC: Rider

Rider nodded and circled Revenge, swinging his sword in a figure of eight arc. He then quickly ran in for a quick stab.

Ic:

"You are worthless. A rahkshi never cries, never says to stop fighting, never does anything opposite Makuta's orders. You are a coward and a fool." She said, and walked up behind her, still cloaked.

IC: Melody

"But I-I just want the best for everyone! Fighting only breeds more fighting!"  Melody took a few steps backward.

IC: Revenge

Revenge curled his arms in defensively, but he didn't need to, the sword bounced harmlessly off of his armor.  Revenge gave Rider a friendly smirk.

Ic:

"Fighting makes you stronger, more alert, more ready. Wanting the best for all is a Toa's way, a cowards way, a terrible way."

She grabbed Melody around the throat and mouth and uncloaked.

"I could end it for you." She said in her ear.

Ooc: it's 9:39 PM, I'm gonna go to sleep.

Signing off for the day.

IC: Omega

Vaalku having ignored him Omega simply swore at him. He walked back towards the library but he saw the poor Rahk from earlier being strangled. He ducked behind a wall, trying to figure out a plan to take the strangler out.

IC: Rider

Rider chuckled. He decided to throw his fist at Revenge's face, aiming to hurt him at least a little bit.

IC: Melody

Even though she couldn't speak Melody followed her basic instincts and screamed, but it was severely muffled.  Melody tried to squirm from the other Rahkshi's grasp, still trying not to hurt them.

IC: Revenge

Revenge ducked than lunged forward, attempting to tackle Rider.

IC: Rider

Rider jumped out of the way before Revenge could tackle him. 

IC: Omega

Omega only just heard the scream. His mind was racing. He decided to let the two talk as he came up with a plan to save Melody. For once he needed to fight with strategy.

IC: Exxan.

 

"Very well," Exxan conceded, touched by Phogen's seemingly genuine concern. He hadn't realise that s/he actually cared about anyone except him/her self. Maybe letting someone who Fang didn't absolutely despise talk first was for the best. It might calm him down a little.

 

IC Kat: "Alright. Let's get this over with, then."

"I'll be off side, but in view. If things get rough, I'll step in. Here's hoping it won't come to that."

IC: Hoto

Hoto sighed with relief. Phogen really wasn't looking for conflict and was doing anything she could to prevent it. Maybe Hoto could really stop all of this.

Her voice seemed much brighter than before as she replied, "Sure, I'll give it a try!"

She was about to run off in search when she paused and turned back. "What do you need me to say? And where is he?"

IC Phogen

"The Refractory, I believe. Nowhere else worthwhile down the hallway." Phogen stroked his chin, thinking. "I would like to go with you. Stay in the back, and not approach until you give the signal. Fang can be an unpredictable sort, and I just want to make sure you are alright. Kat can stay right there with me to make sure nothing goes awry, and Exxan can stick back in the hallway for when Fang is calm enough for him. Any opponents?"

IC: (Snakey)

 

Pho didn't seem to have heard him, so he repeated his statement.

"Fang isn't all that bad. He kinda helped me in the first assignment..."

"Like I said, he is far from a bad sort of guy. Misguided, perhaps, but with a good center."

IC: Revenge

Revenge skidded on the ground.  He quickly rolled over and drew his zamor launcher.

IC: Exxan.

"Exxan can stick to the back?" he repeated in disbelief. "Are you all forgetting who it is that wanted to talk to Fang in the first place? Last I heard, he'd rounded up a mob to kill me, so I'd like to try to talk him down without having to bring along a mob of my own." He wasn't trying to sound demanding, or selfish, but Fang seemed to be pinning a whole lot of pent-up hatred on him, and he didn't want to give Fang more ammunition by letting others take over the situation. 

OOC: Sorry. Just assume that Toxin didn't have a conversation and decided to assist Metal instead of asking.

IC: Toxin

The corner of the gym became flooded with darkness. Unable to see, he ran into the light quickly and threw four poisoned kunai at where Silencer last was.

IC: Bullseye

Bullseye had returned from the Cauldron. Although he couldn't find any more containers, he did return with several berries. He put the stuff in his dorm and left for a walk in the hall. He heard a muffled scream.

"Someone needs help," he thought and he ran towards the sound to see a Rahkshi whose colors he didn't recognize. He saw a Rahkshi hiding near there. Hopefully, he was going to help too. He tapped the guy's shoulder.

OOC: I'm tapping Omega's shoulder.

IC Phogen

His ears perked. That newfound hearing picked up a scream. It was, frankly, pathetic. But also muffled. It could be a yelp from the gym just as much as a gargle from the hallway. She looked to the rest of the group. "Did anyone else hear that?"

IC: Raptor

Raptor called Wings back to his shoulder. He took one last spoonful of sludge and then left the refectory.

OOC: Open for interaction.

IC: Omega

Omega motioned to Bullseye to get down. "I'm trying to figure out a plan to help her. The rahk she is with is a cloaker and I think she would wipe the floor with me if I'm unprepared."

IC: Exxan.

 

"Exxan can stick to the back?" he repeated in disbelief. "Are you all forgetting who it is that wanted to talk to Fang in the first place? Phogen looked at him and said "You are a loaded gun to him. Walking up and demanding an audience is waving that gun around. The last thing you want is for him to be under pressure. So wait until he has released some of this temper, and then get your one-on-one time." Exxan was letting pride cloud judgement. That would not do for a sensitive situation like this. "Hoto, make it clear none of us are taking sides. We are a third-party. This should put Fang out of fear."

IC: Bullseye

"You're probably right," he whispered. "Perhaps, I could shoot her from behind with a barbed arrow?"

IC: Raptor

Raptor walked further to see a Rahkshi, one he had seen out of the corner of his eye before, in a chokehold by a different one- one that had sparked an interest in him earlier.

IC: Omega

"Hmm... shoot her once to put her attention on you. Then I'll charge in and tackle her." Omega said, crackling his knuckles.

IC: Exxan. 

"Maybe I'm missing something here." Exxan said uncertainly, "Like I said before, the last I'd heard, Fang has a mob ready and raring to kill me on sight. I don't think it matters at which point I choose to step in, he's probably going to attack me, and you as well, Phogen, the moment he sees us. I'm expecting us to be attacked, in all honesty. But sure, let Hoto go first. We'll see if it makes any difference." 

IC: Bullseye

"Okay."

He barrel-rolled behind the Rahkshi with a cloaker and shot a barbed arrow aimed up her back. That probably will be there for a while and hard to take out.

He braced for anything to happen.

IC: Rider

Rider jumped up into a dropkick as soon as Revenge fell.

IC: Exxan. 

 

"Maybe I'm missing something here." Exxan said uncertainly, "Like I said before, the last I'd heard, Fang has a mob ready and raring to kill me on sight. I don't think it matters at which point I choose to step in, he's probably going to attack me, and you as well, Phogen, the moment he sees us. I'm expecting us to be attacked, in all honesty. But sure, let Hoto go first. We'll see if it makes any difference."

 

Phogen shook her head. "Expectations become reality, my dear Exxan. Expecting an attack will bring it faster. I will wait here. If he wishes to suck me into the argument, then I shall come and defend my position with rhetoric unmatched. But not with a sword." Phogen modulated so only Exxan could hear, being meticulous so Hoto would not pick such up. "At least not yet."

IC: Revenge

"Wuf!" Rider's kick hit revenge in the chest.  Revenge managed to get a point blank shot off with his launcher.

IC Kat: I nodded to Phogen, "Don't fall behind," I said with a playful smile.

Then there was Exxan. Despite not having a temper per se, the guy was sure quick to offend. I shook my head. For someone so well read, the guy was just no good at social cues. Granted, these were somewhat more.... Difficult. But we'd all been to negotiations. It was a required course. Clearly it had taken better in some than others.

Phogen mentioned hearing something, so I cocked my head, listening intently. Other than the normal sounds drifting in from the hall, I didn't hear anything.

"What are you hearing?"

IC: Exxan.

"I'm a realist," Exxan shrugged, "I can hope for the best all I want. But I plan for the worst." He looked around, resigning himself to whatever fate waited at the end of their endeavour. "I suppose we can't put it off any longer. Let's go and find Fang. Oh, and Phogen, I'd rather you didn't stay back here. I'd like to have a friend I can trust watching my back. He already seems to hate us both anyway." 

IC: Rider

The zamor hit him straight in the gut as he collided with Revenge. He fell backwards after impact, sprawled on the ground for now. He got up, groaning.

IC Kat: a mob? Had he SEEN Fang lately? The guy was a little unstable, maybe, but he was definitely alone. Unless he'd gathered some friends in the last five minutes, that's hardly what I'd have called a mob.

So I finally told the guy, "Exxan. Quit whining."

IC: Revenge

Revenge sprang up as fast as he could, than tried to tackle rider again.

IC: Rider

This time he collided and Rider smacked to the ground. 

IC: Revenge

Revenge pined Rider's body and one arm, he drew his arm back for a punch.

OOC: Sorry guys, you know, life.

IC: Hoto

Hoto looked back and forth at Phogen and Exxan as they argued. It was getting uncomfortable, and she was going to have to deliver whatever message they decided on. But she did have trust in Phogen. Exxan did have a point, but she agreed that he should stay back. "Just let me go. If you think you can help, Phogen, I'd like to have you there too. And you, Kat. Exxan, just... be careful?"

She perked up at the muffled shouting from the halls. Phogen had heard it too. "Should we do something about that?"

IC: Fang

Fang looked up in surprise at the tiny Rahkshi from earlier. He didn't have time to deal with this right now. He was about to shove them away when someone did it for him. The Rahkshi he'd met yesterday, the one so interested in what happened. Apparently, he had someone looking out for him.

"Put the little guy down. They are harmless, for now." Fang emphasized his last point with a pointed glare and a flash of plasma.

IC: Tube

Tube followed behind their master quietly, unwilling to contribute to the conversation. When Wraith showed up, they nearly jumped out of their armor, but luckily, she left quickly, leaving just him, Checkers, and Wakatio.

IC: Exxan.

Exxan gave Kat a long, slow stare.

He'd had just about enough of people messing with his life, and this was coming close to being the final straw. He was level three now; he had a right to stand up for himself! But he reined in his anger, instead settling for logic. "I'm not whining. Right now, I am of the understanding that there is a plasma Rahkshi out there who wants me dead for no apparent reason that I can understand. Having a justified fear for my own safety is not whining. Unless you know something I don't? If you do, could you please stop being condescending and instead enlighten me?"

IC: Rider

Rider had raised his leg up when Revenge had jumped. If Revenge were to punch, Rider had a plan.

IC Kat. I folded my arms. "Sure. It's no secret Fang doesn't like you. Heck, I'm pretty sure he doesn't like Phogen either. And while he might want to change things here, I've seen him. He's broken somewhere deep. But he's not.... murderous. at least.... not yet. Keep your cool, and I'll make sure he does, too. And don't worry...." I winked. "I'll keep your pretty head safe from his 'mob of killers'~"
