IC: Thrak:The Slaver threw up his hands, both at Dorian's comments and Calebos' response."You insult a honest forester, luckily for you, I don't have the time to spend trying to teach you a lesson," Thrak said to Dorian, then he turned his attention to Calebos, "If you don't want help, fine! It wont be my fault that you'll get lost on this island with no way to get back to the mainland!"With that, Thrak walked off, irritated that this had went poorly for him.
IC: Dorian (Xa-Koro)"Teach me a lesson?" Dorian asked, eyebrows raised; the Mark glowed with the slaver's anger, and, using his newfound agility, the Bearer jetted forward and zoomed to a stop beside Thrak."Wanna have a go? I mean, if you have time. I wouldn't want to make you waste your "Beat Up on Innocent Slaves" happy hour deal you have going. Don't worry, I won't fight back too hard. I could use a good wake up."He winked charmingly at the slaver, and immediately, the air seemed to lighten. This guy couldn't really mean harm. He looked so casual...-Teezy
IC: Calebos"Wait!" Calebos said runningot the Toa of plantlife, "I'll come with you..."
IC: Thrak:"If you wish" The Slaver said, "Now tell me, where did you last see this friend of yours?"
IC: Calebos"My brother?" Calebos asked, "In Le-Wahi,"
IC: Thrak:"North eh?" Thrak asked, "Luckily I have a ship then. It'll be some time before I can get the ship ready to go on the seas again. She's a fixer-upper, but I'll have her ready to depart by the end of the day."
IC (Bane, Xa-koro): The small group almost bumped into Bane. He ignored them. He turned to the merchant again, asking him politely if he knew anything about someone named D or Vorkhii. No one had any answers for him. They all seemed afraid. He finally decided to try the casino, wondering if it was going to help at all in their search for answers. The mission had been a partial success, however. The tales of Madrihk were true.-GB
IC: Alia, BoforAlia walked to the campfire and began cooking a nice breakfast while her boss snoozed. She couldn't wait to get paid. Stealing was such hard work, especially when you have a gang of Skakdi chasing you through some grand old jungle.Bofor had the dream again. Mage got away. Every time. He would kill him soon enough. And in real life.
IC: Calebos"Okay, I can help, my brother owned I ship, before it was destroyed...that's how I it here...I was floating on a huge chunk of driftwood,"
IC: Thrak:"No matter!" Thrak exclaimed, "I'll find you again once the ship is ready. You're free to do what you want, just be careful though, if you walk down the wrong street or alley, you might get in trouble."
IC: Calebos"Okay..." Calebos said and walked into town.
IC: Thrak:Thrak meanwhile went to the docks. His ship, ironically named: The Silver Lining, had been in the docks for awhile now. A pestering hole in the ship had prevented it from taking off. However, with soem of the widgets he had left, he paid a dockworker to fix it. He had a thousand widgets, it cost seven hundred widgets. Oh well, there is always a price to pay for everything.
IC: CalebosThe matoran started to draw in the dirt, he was really bored.
IC: Anthros walked toward Calebos, looking for someone to rob. "Who are you?" he asked.
IC: CalebosCalebos looked up and backed up a bit, "Uh I can't talk to strangers!"
IC: Anthros"You can't talk to stangers?" he said with a laugh. "Why not?"
IC: Calebos"My brother told me," Calebos said, "And you don't seem like a friendly person..."
IC: Anthros"You're smarter than I thought." the skakdi said, grinning. "Who is your brother?"
IC: CalebosCalebos swallowed his fear, he had to be brave since Zacax wasnt with him, "He is Toa Zacax, Prodigy of Tahukama!" Calebos said,
IC: Dorian (Music Store, Xa-Koro)'Dorable walked into the music store - one of the few real places of culture in this cesspit - and picked up a guitar, strumming it softly for a few minutes before playing a melody. Nice guitar: well-constructed, quality wood, the strings wouldn't fray or bend. It had a pleasant, raw sound that echoed throughout the store as if he were playing in a cave - which, considering the level of sophistication in the Islets, he was - but didn't sacrifice a quality sound for an unpolished one. Then he started to sing."Birds flying hiiiigh, you know how I feelSun in the skyyyyyyy, you know how I feelBreeeeeze driftin' on by, you know how I feelIt's a new daawwn, it's a new daaay, it's a new liiife for meeeeeAnd I'm feelin' goooood...-Teezy
IC: KynaeraNighttimeMusic store, Xa-Koro"Fish in the seeeaa, you know how I feel..."Dorian had already started singing the second verse when he noticed the piano notes synchronizing with his guitar playing. The sounds drifted from a corner of the room, where a lithe Toa of Gravity sat before a piano. Her staccato playing was embellished by adding a subtle broken chord here and there; the resultant melody sounded and felt more full-bodied than its volume would suggest."River running freeeee, yooou know how I feel."Kynaera's vocals were the next thing to be noticed, for her singing had first been too silent to hear above the other Toa's; now it began to blossom, beautifully harmonizing with Dorian's smooth tenor. The music soared in a crescendo:"Blossom in the tree-e-e-ees, you know how I feel. It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new liiiiiifefor me..."And then Kynaera's piano dimmed, and her voice shifted so it hovered a perfect octave above Dorian's, and the crescendo gave way to an airy refrain of the chorus."...and I'm feeeeeling gooooood."
IC: Dorian (Music Store, Xa-Koro)Dorian's face, which hadn't even twitched throughout the second first, suddenly broke into a small smirk, and as he played them out on his guitar, a low, soft laugh could be heard echoing from the Toa's perch."Kynaera," he sighed. "I thought I felt you the moment I walked in."-Teezy
IC: Anthros"Never heard of him. How much money do you have on you?" he asked.
IC: CalebosHe was a robber. I mean who would just bluntly ask for money? He sucked a this, because Deusui said that's one of the most rookie mistakes a robber can make."I has no money, joke's on you,"
IC: Anthros pulled out onw of his knives, and placed it against Calebos's throat. "Are you sure you don't want to rethink that?"
IC: Calebos"I have no money!" Calebos said, a then threw a punch toward's the skakdi's stomach,
IC: AnthrosAnthros was hit by the punch, which knocked him back several feet. "What do you have?" he asked as he got up.
IC: Calebos Mata Nui did I just sucker punch him back a few feet?! Calebos thought, "I have nothing! Go steal from someone else, other than me,"
IC: Anthros"Surely you have something. If not, you might have to be my servant."
IC: CalebosCalebos started to run back to the shore, it wasn't the best, but maybe he could find a boat he could use to leave.
IC: Anthros ran after him, not wanting him to get away. He threw one of his knives at Calebos's back.
IC: CalebosAs calebos ran, he tripped over himself. If Calebos didn't fall, that knife would have ended his life. He got back up and grabbed that knife and continued to run as fast as his legs could carry him.
IC: Anthros continued running, using large strides to gain on Calebos.
IC: CalebosHe kept running, and made it to the beach, hoping to find a boat. Luckily he did, and jumped on. He wasn't concerned whose it was, he had to leave. He grabbed the oars and began to paddle.
IC: KynaeraNighttimeMusic Shop, Xa-KoroKynaera smiled faintly, her fingers still dancing across the piano as if acting of their own accord. "I wasn't aware I had an aura, Dor." Her hands finally paused; she stood, brushing her fingertips lightly across the piano keys as she approached Dorian. "I can't be here for long, so we might as well talk now. How have you been?"
IC: CalebosCalebos started to row out to sea, not knowing where he woul go.OOC: Calebos to Ta-Wahi.
IC: Dorian (Music Shop, Xa-Koro)"I've been as good as can be expected," he replied, setting the guitar down. "Took a job as an assassin a couple years back, turned out to be good at it. They called me some stupid name...Demon with the Angel's Face or something ridiculous like that. I took a job a couple days ago as a member of some special forces group for a bunch of one-percenter lowlifes with God complexes. Beat the guy who ran it to within an inch of his life, got a promotion. You?"-Teezy
IC: KynaeraNighttimeMusic store, Xa-Koro"Nothing of interest," responded the Toa of Gravity, wondering at the effervescence within her stomach at the thought of Dorian learning of her new alignment. "Traveled a few places, hurt a few people, signed up for Makuta's army -- oh, and won a karaoke competition up in Ga-Koro. A guy asked me if I wanted to hang out sometime after I was awarded the medal, and I told him I don't hang, I do the hanging. He avoided eye contact with me the rest of my stay at that cafe."
IC: Dorian (Music Shop, Xa-Koro)"Makuta's army, huh?" Dorian asked, a curious look on his face. "Sadly, you probably get a stronger benefit's package than I do. It's ridiculous how easily they'll let an assassin go these days."He sat down again and observed the Toa of Gravity, his hands clasped and resting on his knees as he kicked back and forth."I've missed you. Nothing quite like having a best friend around you all the time."-Teezy
IC: KynaeraNighttimeMusic store, Xa-Koro"I know what you mean. I haven't known someone I could call a "friend" for a long time." Kynaera's eyes brightened in humor. "Makuta's army has benefits, but it's not what you'd call a sociable work environment."
