IC:
"Yeah, how 'bout that little scheme?" Til called out, grinning and tossing his surfboard from arm to arm. "Tell me that didn't work out like a char--"
fwaaaaaAAAAAAPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM
Tillian dropped the surfboard into the sand and slumped down after it.
-Tyler
IC:
"You know, for a Toa of Gravity, you fall victim to it constantly." Liara noted, rolling her eyes slightly at his antics. Rather lazily she adjusted her 'pillow', glancing over to where the Po-Koran commander was still prone on the ground. "Need any help up?"
IC:
"Nah, nah, it's cool. I'm up already." Tillian pulled himself to a sitting position with a sullen glare at Liara and balanced his surfboard above his lap with his element.
-Tyler
IC:
"Sure." The Le-Toa allowed her head to lower back onto her pillow again, half closing her eyes against the sun. She didn't have any particular inclination to move, given how comfortable she was. A grin stretched across her features, satisfied with the state of the world. All was right, save one thing.
"I thought I was the lazy one, but you're content to just sit there."
IC:
"Says who? You're the one lying there."
-Tyler
IC:
"The one that didn't bring a surf board, ostensibly for the purpose of surfing. It's just a glorified table."
IC:
"...It's a security blanket."
-Tyler
IC:
"Strange choice for one, but alright." Liara's eyes, already half closed, closed completely as she put her hands behind her head to supplement her makeshift pillow. The doctor loved this particular section of the beach. In fact, she visited it relatively often. It was in good proximity to her home, and rarely unpleasantly loud. At times like this she could just listen to the surf on the shore, and relax.
Though at the moment, she could practically hear a certain Ba-Toa pouting.
IC:
"I can surf just fine."
Before Liara could open her eyes, Til sped off into the water, his board underneath him.
-Tyler
IC:
The Le-Toa cracked an eyelid, watching as he sped out further and further away from shore. True to his word, he coasted in on the next wave, only to paddle back out. She was content to watch this a time or two, before, with a yawn and a stretch, she activated her mask. Using it in concert with her element, she glided easily out over the water, and ultimately, over the Ba-Toa. She made lazy circles through the air above him, following every movement.
The grin on her face indicated the fact that she was just outside of slash range indicated that it was indeed intentional.
IC:
gravity won't work she's already carrying too much weight
Tillian scrunched up his face in thought while Liara whizzed above him.
BATTLE PLAN, CAPTAIN. WHATS OUR COURSE
Tillian decided to use his own Kadin and soar up into the air ten feet or so, grab Liara, and then touch down on the board.
DENIED
-Tyler
IC:
Liara, for her part, was rather unfazed. Subtle uses of her mask kept her balanced and stable even after she was brought down the board. The fear of falling into the water gone, she raised an eyebrow.
"Problem, Juturna?"
IC:
"You were drawing diferent facets of my concentration. Crisises of all manners have been averted now."
-Tyler
IC:
"Is that so? Good. Given that you're the one controlling the board, and thus keeping me from frigid Ga-Wahi water," The Le-Toa leaned upwards and kissed his cheek in amusement. "Wouldn't do to have my lifeline distracted."
IC:
"Did I just hear the friendzone shatter?"
-Tyler
IC: Ekko
"Sudo so help me I will put you through the deck and the hull plating..."
IC: "See Cap? The crew loves me."
IC:
"Truly, we're all blood brothers."
-Tyler
IC: He descended from the Crow's nest abruptly, vaulting over the edge and gently floating down on a cushion of upward wind. "So, what's the first job?"
IC:
"It's your imagination."
IC:
"Ha, jobs. Remember when we had those, Raknar?"
IC:
"I'm hurting. See how hurt I am?" Til's lips drew in a pout.
IC:
"I think the job market's still lookin' up for us," Raknar snickered.
-Tyler
IC: "Ayy"
IC: Wherya (Southern Charm)
"Eeeh, I was never very good at the whole 'job' thing anyway. I can't have someone always tell me what to do and how to do it, I just don't know what I'm supposed to do with that."
"Not saying I wouldn't do my job on this crew, not at all, I just wouldn't recommend counting on me to follow orders to the letter."
I nodded half-committally as I took a step closer to "introduce myself", because I felt like being formal for a change.
"Name's Wherya"
IC:
"We both know you can do that on command, Til."
IC Girah:
Girah, clueless of all this internal politicking and paradigm shattering reached into his bag and pulled out a few widgets, holding the equivalent of pocket change out to the Dashi in offering.
He laughed "Here. Go ahead and take it. Your expressions are worth the price. Could I maybe trade something for passage back with you and see this crystal-shaping process?"
Girah wanted to start dropping subtle hints now. He desperately wanted to see their homeland. He would sneak in the cargo hold if he had to. It would just be easier if he traded for a ride.
IC:
His pout split into a grin.
"Without context, that statement is pretty giggity-worthy."

After informing the slightly disbelieving guards, Talli headed back in the direction of the docks. Soon, she could here the bustle of the Akiri’s stand in leaving, but she avoided the procession, staying to the side streets as she headed back towards the North side of the town, back toward her house and the weird underwater ship with its sparkly crew.
OOC: Talli open for interaction. Feel free to run into her or whatever.
IC: Tyrus / Ga-Koro
The old Lesterin strode through the streets of Ga-Koro, his mask working to note any indication of where these envoys were. His senses enhanced, therefore, he was quick to spot a familiar being....
"Private Talli," Tyrus said, waving curtly. "Pleasure seeing you again. How goes it?"

If anyone asks, it was Sudo who brought Wherya along.

When Girah scooped out those widgets (his handful probably being enough to obliterate our economy), I had to fight very hard not to simply lash out and grab them from him. If this trip was going to work, I would have to appear professional and trustworthy.
"I couldn't possibly take your money," I said, smiling politely, "and only the Commodore or Lady Hanako could offer you passage with us."
Which they won't.

IC - Tarkah :
Tarkah poked his head out from behind the old Lesterin. The badge on his cloak shined brightly and he made an effort to smile wide. He did, about 1 millimeter wider than usual. The newest private gave a terse salute to the one who had named him. The corners of his vision were dyed with a warm yellow. The host could almost even hear laughter in his head. Even the slug on his back was becoming aware of the Toa's own shortcomings when it came to people.
IC:
"..." A sigh escaped Liara's lips, accompanied by a circular motion of her eyes. "You're really reaching on that one."
[Ga-Koro, Center of Town]
Talli shrugged. “Just you know, the regular. Saw an alien ship emerge from the depths of Naho bay. Made my younger brother take care of my other siblings.”
Tarkah was apparently trying to--smile? It was sort of cute, actually. Talli gave him a finger salute in return. "Nice badge."
IC:
"You had to think about it, though." Tillian grinned and cocked his head. "Which means you heard it too."
-Tyler
IC:
"No, it means I had to figure out what you were even reaching for. Too big a stretch to find it amusing." The Le-Toa shifted slightly, swinging a foot pointedly. "Was there a purpose to dragging me out of the sky?"
IC:
"I wanted you to be here with me."
-Tyler
IC:
"... Alright, fine. I suppose that's valid." The doctor replied after a pause, crossing her arms idly and smiling faintly. "Fine, fine, I'll not try to escape."
IC:
"You'd better try. Only reason I came back to this place is to grab you."
-Tyler
IC:
"Oh please, Ga-Koro has far more interesting things than one doctor and her clinic. Best seafood on the island, great booze, coffee, great beaches. You'd have come back eventually, regardless of my presence."
IC:
"Oh, don't be snide. I came for you. Everyone misses you." Tillian grabbed Liara's hands and pressed them together, cupped inside his. "Me especially. Which...is why I'm here."
-Tyler
IC:
"..." Liara was quiet and more than a little still, as if trying to come up with a proper response. The effect, though it only lasted a few moments, was not unlike a deer caught in the light of a lantern. Finally, she rolled her eyes. "Yeah, yeah. I get it already, you're all sick of having to pay hospital bills. I thought the intent here was to surf?"
IC - Tarkah :
"O-Oh, thank you..." The young Toa beamed a little as he looked down at the small emblem pinned to his dusty cloak.
"W-We were going to go check that out, actually. T-There was a big commotion at the h-headquarters..."
IC:
"Half the intent." Tillian shook the doctor's hands once and grinned at her. "And I just didn't want to do this in a place where you could publicly humiliate me."
He threw their looped hands over Liara's neck, leaned in and kissed her.
MISSION COMPLETE BOYS. WE'RE HEADED HOME
In the mission control center in the middle of Tillian's brain, the faint echoing cheers of his brain cells rang out.
