The sun is setting to the south, the jungle denizen lays his sleeping roll out. The fish he caught set to smoke throughout the night.
An idyllic yet naggingly boring life... Was this his destiny?
((ooc: Just a note, I have been trying to read up on the recent posts. I know what's going on, but I am not aware of what the individuals are doing, so I'm just gonna do a general introduction for Tukeli. Anyone is welcome to interact with her or invite her into the action. She tends to be a bit shy so that would be better anyway.))

IC: So, Pala-Koro didn't work out for the Ga-Toa.
It was a nice idea. An isolated village. A fresh start. New acquaintances to share it with, too. But in the end, Tuki had been drawn back to her home, Le-Koro. Her loyalty towards her adoptive village was strong, even with her difficulties. She still felt rather out of place. Not so much as when she first became a Toa, but she honestly didn't connect with her potential identity in the community. But her dedication was not easily faltered, so she had bid the others farewell and began to head back to the Koro. Kiru had resisted, but the time when she tolerated his behavior was long past; she quickly nudged him along, and the two were on their way.
However, as the tree where Le-Koro had been built came into view, it became obvious that something was out of place. There was no music. The village was missing its usual life. Tukeli stopped, and for once, Kiru did the same, emitting a chatter of anger. Tuki couldn't help but narrow her eyes, at least a little. ''This isn't right...'' Her words were soft, but almost ominous. She was frightened; this could only mean something had happened, that her home was in danger, but she didn't hesitate to mount her Guuko partner and send the rahi up towards the treetops. Cautiously, Tukeli didn't land just yet, but gazed at Le-Koro from above, where she was silenced by shock.
The place was deserted.
This was bad. Any number of things could have happened, but it certainly wasn't good. The huts didn't look too terribly damaged, so she assumed that it was an evacuation. But why? And where...?
A squawk from Kiru alerted Tukeli, and she turned her head to follow his gaze, to see what had stirred him. She turned, and saw a few Kahu and Guuko headed in the opposite direction. She could hear shouts coming from the birds' direction. She couldn't make out what out what they were saying, but she had no doubt who they were. Guuko Force. And she didn't doubt, either, that they were headed for whatever had caused the evacuation.
.....
She had to pause, and lower her head for a moment. There was a reason she'd been avoiding the Force since becoming a Toa. She wasn't sure if she had any place among them anymore, and it was nothing but a reminder that she could never return to her old life, all those years ago... it was one she enjoyed, but what right did she have, after all?
...but hadn't she learned already that even if she shouldn't have become a Toa in the first place, that didn't mean she couldn't be a hero, even on a small scale? Didn't she love her home enough to protect it? She would never know where her life was meant to lead her if she didn't try, after all.
Tukeli gave the slightest smile, and nodded. Yes. She knew that, and she would keep reminding herself until she didn't need to anymore. She gave Kiru a pat. ''Go, quickly.'' The Guuko gave out a cry of excitement, and sped after the other bird Rahi. Soon, they were in sight again. Feeling a bit nervous, she kept behind just enough to be able to see them; she didn't want to be spotted. Someone might recognize her, after all, and she didn't want that. It wasn't before long before they reached their supposed destination, with chaos awaiting Tukeli and Kiru on the forest floor.
They were everywhere.
The beetles were gnawing viciously at the trees, without any sign of stopping. She saw the worried, angry, disgusted faces around her, and Tuki couldn't help but feel the same way deep down. Bug rahi always creeped her out, possibly due largely to the Nui-Rama and Nui-Kopen attacks. Worse yet, these bugs could easily do massive damage to the Wahi, as well as the Koro itself. If something wasn't done quickly, the Le-Matoran may be homeless by the end of the day. Though not particularly skilled with her element, she supposed it could have been worse, and after all she shouldn't just stand around while this was happening. She glanced at the figures surrounding her, trying to decide which to ask for an explanation, while hoping no one would recognize her either. All the while she held on to Kiru's reign tightly; he was constantly chattering angrily, desperate to destroy some insects. She couldn't allow that to happen. He could get hurt, or hurt others in the process, and in addition he could easily make things worse than they already were.
IC Izzun
Well, that ruined Izzun's day.
As the infected vines flew at him, Izzun flipped backwards, landed, and ever so slightly tapped the ends of each. They froze down to their roots in an instant. Staring back up, he muttered "Who in the name of corpulin causey are you?"
IC Kigta
I am stunned momentarily, confused about this newcomer's powers. I quickly am unfazed however, and the vines controlling me answer the ice-Toa's question: "I am the Ryu, crusher of civilizations and killer of Toa. Fear my power!" I don't want to hurt the newcomer, but the vines make me do so. The vines burrow under the Toa, ready to reach up and strangle the ice-Toa.
OOC: In case you haven't noticed, the vines are sentient and have chosen Kigta as their host.
IC: Rune
The Vo-Toa regarded Varan and the Lesterin in turn as if making up her mind. She exhaled through gritted teeth as her grip tightened on the hilt of her hunting knife.
"Lead on." she said in response to the Lesterin. She grabbed the Toa of Sonic's arm as he stood staring off into the jungle canopy. "Detrix, you'd better sober up fast if you're coming with me."
She turned her head back towards the Ba-Toa. "We'll meet you back at the Koro."
IC: Varan
Varan nodded. "See you there."
With that, he walked off towards the village.
IC Izzun
Izzun's eyes moved ever so slightly. He had activated his thermal imaging. He looked down, and just barely avoided having his foot snapped off. He dashed forwards towards the odd being, and pinned him down. "All right, what's up? Why are you attacking me?"
OOC: Lemme try to spice things up here...
IC: Akhulii
Akhulii agreed with a nod and replied, "Yes, that really would be dreadful..."
He began setting up a camp from the bag when he heard a loud noise like a claw and then a huge commotion, like fighting.
He took a few steps in the direction from where the noises came from and then stopped. He turned to Ryzen, "Should we investigate? This might be dangerous...."
He gulped, but he knew he wanted information.
IC Kigta:
At the Toa's touch, the vines flash-freeze and die. I gasp in shock, realizing that the evil Ryu vines will no longer control me. I shout for joy and then inform the Ice Toa that the evil vines had controlled me, that they were dead, but that one random Le-Matoran guard was also infected. I can only hope the Toa of Ice believes my plight.
OOC: Yeah, the Ryu are from an Epic I made earlier.
IC: Kigta
As I await the Toa's decision to deem me guilty or innocent, I see a weird blue mask peek up behind the bushes that looks like an Akaku-Noble Huna mix. He appears to be investigating the affair. I say nothing.
OOC: Welcome to the fun, Banana Gunz
IC: Ashiem
There was no need to stay in Le-wahi any longer. Sighing quietly to herself, Ashiem jumped back onto her borrowed Ussal, evidently saddened by her failure to deliver the goods her employer had tasked her to do. It was time to head back home, and slowly she made her way back onto the highway towards the village of earth.
OOC: Ashiem to Onu-wahi.
IC Lain
Dragging sounds, fighting sounds. Sounds that remind him of his past. The Bo-Toa is jolted awake, it is the very early hours of the morning. Dawn nothing but a hint on the horizon. The sounds of fighting are clear, carrying through the quiet nighttime environment from the south. Lain grabs the Gae Bolg and throws on his traveling cloak to ward off the chill.
He approachs through the dense vegetation, his cloak and body wreathed in vines to provide camouflage.
OOC: That is the Ghidora/Dallidor group
OOC: Wow, I need to be more active...
IC Izzun
Izzun saw the vines curl and freeze, and the being beneath him talk hurriedly and then stare over his shoulder. He said "Okay" and jumped off the being, turning to accidentally head-ram the odd blue-masked being in the bushes. Man, that would leave a headache.
IC: Ryzen
I shrugged. Why am I agreeing to do this, I wondered. "Sure. It's time to have some...fun."
Fun? What the heck am I talking about. This wasn't going to be any fun. I sighed internally, as there's no going back now, and I started to follow Akhulii.
OOC: Wow, time was doing some crazy flips right there... Things are getting real interesting!
IC: Akhulii
Akhulii had no idea what Ryzen meant by fun. Toa of ice really seem to have strange ideas...
He started moving in the direction of the fight with his bamboo disk at the ready. He tip-toed up til a point where he could spy on what was happening. At this point it was very clear that the fight was going on between probably two beings.
He poked his mask through a bush to look into the clearing and see what was going on. He was right, there were two beings, but it was most definitely a very strange sight. A tall, skinny and abnormal toa of ice stood fighting a Le-Matoran, though this Le-matoran looked infected and half fused with strange vines. He didn't quite look like himself...
Suddenly the Le-Matoran turned and noticed Akhulii. Akhulii's eyes widened and he almost let out a gasp but the matoran said nothing. Akhulii was about to pop out of the bushes and run back to Ryzen but then suddenly the large crazy Ko-Toa accidentally flew into Akhulii and knocked him over. He landed backwards onto his back and twisted an arm painfully as the surprisingly heavy body of the toa fell on top of him, "AH! Help, help! Get off me you crazy toa! Ow! AH!"
ooc: Sorry, just gonna jump in here. :'D

IC: The Ga-Toa paused. This was a problem, but to be honest, she wasn't sure what to do about it. She should probably try talking with the Guuko Force, but just the thought of doing so made her nervous. With a simple nudge to Kiru, she turned around and started to head back, hoping she might come across someone else... which is when she heard voices.
''We'll meet you back at the Koro.''
She stopped in her tracks. Still quite insecure, but knowing she needed more information, Tukeli just stood there, and waited for whoever the voice's owner to appear. She tightened her grip on her staff when it was not one, but several figures moving through the jungle, in the exact direction from whence she came. Many years ago, when she was still a Matoran, Tuki might have avoided them completely. But times changed, and she right along with them. Tukeli took a moment to tie Kiru to a tree; he never did well with strangers, and this was the worst time for him to be acting up. Kiru struggled and complained, but she only gave him a harsh glare, and he settled down slightly as his friend approached the group.
Tukeli couldn't help but halt again. They could see her now. She knew what she had to ask them, but she couldn't quite find the words... In the end, she could really only utter a single word.
''Beetles.''
IC: Ryzen
My eyes widened as I heard Akhulii yell. Crazy toa? What was he screaming about now. Maybe I should see what he got himself into this time.
"Hey, Akhulii, I don't think there are any crazy to-" Never mind. There indeed was a Toa on top of Akhulii.
IC: Akhulii
Akhulii continued to struggle and flail around under the heavy toa of ice. He began hitting the toa's back with bamboo disk wildly out of frustration. "Mad toa! Get off of me!" He didn't even notice Ryzen appearing at the scene.
IC Lain
I run up to the tangling toa, pulling the Ko-Toa off his victim, "what the karz are you doing mate?!"
IC: Ryzen
I reached for my weapon, in case a fight breaks out between the four of us. That could of been prevented, as the Toa was pulled off Akhulii by his partner.
"What the is going on here? Is it like some kind of party?"
OOC: Geez, I REALLY need to be more active...
IC Izzun
Dazed, Izzun's eyes flashed open again. "Did- who? Oh sorry I ran into you there, buddy, But we still have a problem. I- Oh, my name's Izzun. Toa of ice." and he took a small bow as everyone looked at him odd. He turned and gave a solid punch to the Le-Matoran's head.
IC: Akhulii
Akhulii threw himself backwards after the strange Ko-toa was pulled off him. He angrily yelled out, "Yeah, and some party this is! Why don't you two mad hooligans bring some crackers and tea too! We'll set up ourselves a little picnic right here right now!"
When the toa of ice apologized, strangely bowed, and then almost casually punched the Le-matoran in the face, Akhulii could do nothing but stop and stare. He looked up at Ryzen and then took a step back, bamboo disk still in his hand but shaking furiously. The look on his face was frustration and confusion, for he was still recovering from the fall and had no idea what was going on between the toa of ice and Le-matoran.
Akhulii just wasn't sure what to do. Who should they attack? The toa? The matoran? Should they attack?
OOC: Whoops, my bad, didn't realize Lain/Tirigath was a part of this too now. I really should start reading other people's posts more often... Sorry dude!
IC Lain
"Unprovoked violence isn't good, you lot ought to talk things outs."
IC Izzun
"Oh? well, apparently this Matoran is infected. How do I know, you ask? I can just notice these type of things..." That statement didn't help anybody's additudes. "Um, that guy on the ground hastily explained he was being controlled by a sentient evil vine, which also controlled this Matoran and almost broke my feet." He casually turned and punched the Le-Matoran again. "So, any questions?"
IC: Akhulii
Akhulii was getting a little overwhelmed. Suddenly he noticed the appearance of a toa of jungle that had entered the scene. His eyes opened up wide with excitement. This is exactly what I've been looking for...
His attention quickly broke back to the toa of ice when he had begun talking again. What did this one say his name was again? Itsunoo? Itzanii?
The sound of Le-matoran infected with sentient vines didn't exactly make him feel any better about the situation. He was normally all for keeping things civilized, but the idea, sight and sound of that infected matoran just creeped him out.
He turned to the Vo-toa and replied, "Sorry, but unlike you, I can't talk to plants."
He then turned back to Izzun and said, "Just one, do Le-matoran like the taste of bamboo?"
At that he pulled his arm back and flung his bamboo disk at the mask/face of the infected Le-matoran while he was getting up off the ground from Izzun's attack.
OOC: Oh man, that line and disk throw had to be the most bad arse thing Akhulii has done yet, which actually isn't saying much considering how much of an un-bad arse character he is...
OOC: Bad-arse? Really?
IC Izzun
"Um, I believe they don't like bamboo," Izzun said as the Bamboo disc launched the Le-Matoran into the jungle, unconscious. "Especially when it's flying at their face." The arrival of a Toa of jungle made Izzun suspisious. First a being seemingly controlled by evil vines, then a vine-caked infected Le-Matoran, and now a Toa of jungle? he thought, noticing a slight trend.
IC Lain
The Bo-Toa subtly adopted a defensive stance. This lot seemed violent and quick to act, and he felt like he was being eyed up.
IC: Alfon
One glance back confirmed that Aparangi had made it. I couldn't help but hoot.
"Your turn!" I said, ready to give Exa a lift.
IC: Hakari
Hakari practically threw herself and her companion onto the Gukko. The Gukko squawked indignantly, but eventually took off away from Le-koro.
ooc: Sorry, just gonna jump in here. :'D

"Beetles, indeed" the huntress replied.
"Long time no see, Tukeli, how's your mount doing?"
Ic:
"Holy-!"
Koura didn't expect being thrown ontop the giant bird that may or may not of have tried to eat him.
"What's the plan?" He shouted at the top of his lungs, trying to be heard over the sound of the Gukko in flight and the rushing wind.
IC Izzun
It had been a while of everyone standing around thoughtlessly for a while, and eventually Izzun spoke up. "So, considering I just arrived, could you give me a once-over on the current events?"
IC: Ryzen
"Ha. Current events, like there are any 'events' going on. But alright. Akhulii and I came from Ga koro, but we were heading for Le koro until we ended up here. Akhulii, got anything else to add?"
IC: Anedonia
"So."
OOC: did I miss a post somewhere?
IC: Akhulii
"Well... I got attacked by a carnivorous plant, so that was fun, except not exactly so."
He sized up the toa of jungle and Izzun. They looked friendly enough, and decided they would make far better allies than the Le-matoran in his current plant-infected state.
He looked at the toa of jungle, "Can you fix him up? You do control plant after all, and I don't. In fact it seems you're the only one here that does that. Am I right? About you, controlling plants? And perhaps venoms?" Akhulii popped by and circled around the toa of green as he asked these questions.
He then took a step back and stuck his hands out to both of the toa, "Akhulii, alchemist, brewer, and medicinist. Perhaps you've heard of me. I own a very humble shop in Ga-Koro!"
IC: Trava (Outside Le-Koro)

IC: ''Beetles, indeed.''
The first time the Lesterin spoke, it wasn't too concerned by it. The voice sounded a little familiar, but it wasn't until her name was called that she turned her head to look at its owner. Surprise immediately swiped over her face, although she soon regained her usual neutral expression. ''It's... Trava, right? Hello, again.'' She glanced back towards Kiru, who was still tied to a tree. '''He's... tree-bound. I'll untie him everquick. Where are you and... these others headed?''
((ooc: pardon my Treespeak. I keep forgetting, and I haven't written with it in a while. lD))
IC Izzun
"A pleasure too meet you. I don't belive I know of you, though." Izzun shook Akhulii's hand, and looked to the Toa of jungle. "So, what do you think? Can you help our green friend here?"
IC: Ryzen
Helping their friend...and who are they asking?
"Hold on, why don't you tell us who you are first, and then we can help you solve your 'green friend' problems?"
IC Lain
"Never heard of you." I made no move to shake his hand.
"I've never heard of someone "infested" by a plant either, my powers could just as well kill him as do nothing. It might be better to find a doctor."
IC Izzun
"Oh, I'm Izzun, Toa of ice. I, uh, got into some very interesting conversations from a group called the- Oh, I can't tell you. They might kill me. Anyway, I'm apparently very powerful, or at least that's what people tell me. My green "friend"? No clue who he is. Although he might be in some form of pain with that thing around his torso." He picked up the unconscious Le-Matoran and slung him over his shoulder. "Well, shall we be off to the Koro?"
IC: Alfon
"Going up!"
The moment I felt Exa's foot in my hands, my knees sprung and I lifted him with all the strength I could muster. He weighed less than Aparangi, which probably meant a slightly better boost in his case but nothing significant enough to send him flying. I'd need a Pakari for that.
In fact, I could have really used one at the time. It was Colx's turn, and the man was a muscled gorilla missing a bit of his chin. Freaky, I know, but the point there was that he weighed about as much as I squatted. Nothing I couldn't handle, but not an easy task either.
"Haul me up after this is done. You ready?"
