Akhulii watched the turaga work in appreciation. "Quite an intereting formula you have there. Here, try this to go with it!" He pulled out a strip of thick, chewy plant and put it in Izzun's mouth.

"Chew this as you drink. Might help ease the burn..."

  • OOC: Thanks you two ;)

    IC Izzun

"Whoa, that burns real bad, even with the other thing." It took a while for him to get it down, but eventually he did. He raised himself upwards, and turned to Akhulii. "Sorry about all that." He took a small bow to him, and then the Turaga. "Now, unfortunately for most of you, I noticed something earlier. Something bad." He snapped on his heat vision once more and was shocked. "What?" said Akhulii.

Izzun slowly walked towards the previously wrecked buildings. He stopped, and slowly sniffed the air. Someone behind him mentioned the word "Weirdo". He snapped around, a curious look in his eyes, and then he stated:

"I just figured out, those bugs weren't controlled to move. Something huge is over twenty miles away, and I just barely noticed it. It's, it's got to be highly poisonous, or the Beetle-bugs wouldn't have ran." He turned towards the party of characters.

    "And it's following us."

After being knocked down from her Perch, Tavari was less then Impressed when the group of people she had landed in were arguing around her. having had enough of this, After watching from the action unfold in front of her from the sidelines, She turned to one of the people in the group and tried to strike up a conversation. "Do you have to break things to solve all your problems?" She said, glancing towards the fallen tree.

"This one o'er 'er does," I remark, gesturing at the Ko-Toa Izzun.

I get the feeling the little matoran with the chewy-green stimulant grass is still sizing me up. Watching me at the least. I give him a quizzical glance, left eyebrow arched.

I stick close to the Turaga, making sure that the Toa are in front of me as we venture on to the Koro. The trigger-happy Ga-Matoran stuck close to the Turaga as well, but was probably still afraid of my powers. I decided to try and break the ice. "Hey, I'm Kigta." I hold out my hand, but he shies away. "Hey, I won't bite!" I chuckle.

  • IC: Akhulii

Akhulii saw the odd Bo-toa's glance and quickly looked away whistling. When he could tell he wasn't looking for sure, he scribbled a quick note on a slip of paper and passed it to him. It was quick so as not to attract suspicious attention, so it was brief and pretty unspecific:

    Mr. Lain,

I wish to do some business with you. When we get the chance, I'd like to speak to you in private. I'll pay well... and it definitely shouldn't be illegal...

                                                                                                                                                                                          -Akhulii

After he slipped it over, he scampered away quickly back to the turaga, whisling innocently. The other matoran, Kigta came over to him and offered his hand. Akhulii looked at it and paused for a second. I doubt whatever disease or infection this one had is still around, and what are the odds it spreads on contact? It would have to show itself to spread like that anyway. Only way I might still be able to get it if it spreads by air... and he seems friendly enough...

Akhulii grasped his hand and gave it a hearty shake with his best smile. "Nice to meet you! Kigta was it?"

  • IC Izzun

Izzun saw Akhulii whistle his heart away, and Lain stare at his palm. What are you up to, Akhulii? he wondered as he saw the Matoran strike up a conversation with Kigta.

Izzun respected Akhulii; He was rather talented, yet not too knowledgeable. Lain, on the other hand, needed to do some reading up on what the virtues Really meant. Ryzen, however, needed to learn how to pronounce them first. And Kigta. That creature had some interesting experiences happen to him before, but Izzun hoped that none of them were as traumatizing as some of his own.

Then there was that Turaga. He was just something else. You think he's a crazy old coot one second, he pulls out a fiery miracle drink the next. Izzun wasn't quite sure what to make of him, but it couldn't be too harmful to find out.

Curiosity stuck up his head, Izzun started quietly watching Lain, hoping to find out what was in his hand.

"I second that." The Vo-Toa stated simply, regarding the newcomer with an unfazed stare. "We should get going."

Varan had already disappeared into the underbrush, the two unconscious Toa swaying lifelessly over his shoulders. Detrix was apparently still spacing out. She snapped her fingers in front of his face.

    Toa Tukeli

    Location: Le-Wahi

    Currently: Exercising caution

    Interacting With: Trava, ect [open]

    Mood: emotionless

IC: Tukeli blinked a bit in response to the Vo-Toa's stare.  She wasn't able to hold it for long, and had to turn away.  To be honest, it made her uneasy.  She didn't know this Toa, but her first impression wasn't necessarily a good one.  She was feeling nervous, but times have changed.  Back while she still occupied Ga-Koro as a weaver, and later a historian, she might have just gone on home.  That was many years ago; now, she would not quite be as easily scared off, and that probably wasn't intended to happen anyway.  This was her home, and it had been for a long time now.  She was long since done standing around, doubting herself and not doing anything to help society.  Well, she hadn't stopped the doubting, but she wasn't going to let it control her anymore.  Stiffening her posture in her resolve, Tukeli nodded to herself.  Toa or not, she was going to protect her home, and everyone living in it.  This wouldn't be like last time.

    ...yeah, most definitely not.

The Ga-Toa returned her gaze to... whoever this was. She didn't know her name, but she wasn't about to ask. Regardless, unlike Trava, she seemed very responsible and sure of herself... in this situation, she seemed the most reliable, so Tukeli didn't hesitate to look on expectantly. If anyone had a plan, hopefully it would be this stranger.

...though she seemed to be a bit preoccupied at the moment, so Tukeli waited patiently, ignoring the glares that Kiru was shooting everyone, complimented by the violet tremors of his wings. She tilted her head as the Vo-Toa snapped her fingers. Was the one in front of her... staring into space...? She cast Trava a nervous glance from the corner of her eyes. She had a tendency to do that too... many Le-Matoran had even told her so. But it was pretty weird when she was the one watching it happen...

"Lunch sounds pretty great right now... never tried a 'sub' though. Is it a kind of plant?"

Akhulii appreciated Kigta's efforts at making things a little easier here. The immediate danger seemed over, and reducing tensions seemed pretty important if this odd group was going to stay alive in the future, if it was even going to stay as a group.

"I'm from Ga-Koro. My buddy Ryzen knows that. I hired him there as my sort of 'body guard" or at least companion. He's a little cold, but it's better to travel with someone than with noone. I at least know I can trust him... I think. But I own a little shop there. I never went beyond wahi, so I decided coming out here to get gather new plant species to expand what I can brew. I didn't expect this to happen, but at least I have some fellows to stay around, as odd as they may be..."

He pat his case which contained the hundreds of carefully packed herbs and plants. He seemed genuinly happy with his gatherings. He really did have an affinity for brewing...

"I think that the fyre bush might be native to Ta-Wahi, but has been imported to Ko-Wahi for its heat properties. I honestly couldn't find any in Ta-Wahi. Most of the time we were stuck in the Charred Forest or getting food and sleep in the Koro. I'm hoping we might get some in Ko-Koro. They're mighty useful plants!"

While most people had fled, the Reveler's words influenced a few to stay and fight alongside his mooks. They probably outnumbered us three to one and there were sure to be a few others creeping around. I wasn't pleased with our odds but if we didn't push forward, it meant going back to the pit and that was out of the question.

I gritted my teeth in frustration, balling my hand into a fist. It crackled with electricity, building up energy as our opponents got closer and closer. When they got within range, my palm shot out and multiple tendrils arced through the air. Some dropped to the ground and turned violently spastic, others were briefly stunned and the lucky ones kept on pushing. I drew my sword and begun pressing forward, hopefully as a quartet and not by myself.

Sparks flew as swords clashed, constant blows chipping away at the rusty blade I'd chosen earlier. Despite my crummy weapon, nothing slowed me down. I was quicker than anyone here by far, moving effortlessly as I dodged and parried with the speedy reflexes my Calix afforded me. All I needed was a well-timed swing or a quick zap to drop someone, while Colx had his brawny buffness and fancy eye powers to dish out the pain. Aparangi skillfully dispatched his opponents too, and Exa was holding his own just fine.

If we really wanted to, we could have booked it to freedom. Of course, none of us did. We had business to settle with the Reveler.

And I had beef with Moe.

"Well you see, it's not exactly burning. But it often causing a burning sensation when consumed or tasted. It's often an indicator of the plant being very good disinfectant and can clean wounds and clear build-ups in one's organic tissue. The burn also causes bits of heat making it mix better with a beings immune system and work better with other substances! Just because it burns doesn't mean it's always bad!"

Akhulii felt good being an expert and knowing things. Brewery (next to water) was practically his element. It's what he did!

He could tell they were getting closer to the Koro. He had never met Akiri Kongu before, but had heard stories.
