  • OOC: @Silvan: It is part of his weapon inventory. He obtained it a while back before entering Mata Nui by killing a Toa who had that such weapon @1/2 EW: Why hello IC:The dreaded pirate Toa looked at the pair in front of him. "So what are boys going to do huh? Throw me in jail? You obviously have no idea who you are dealing with." He whips out his 'Power Sword' and U-shaped blade. Let's see how you like a little battle.

IC:"Yeah I guess I should. Maybe Ga-Wahi has some people who can help me. I heard they are good healers." With that, he finished his fifth, and got up from his chair. "Well, it was very nice meeting y'all. Try not to get into trouble." OOC: he is not at the door yet.

  • OOC: Dual? Ta-Koro isn't hostile to anyone as of yet. Especially not Ga-Toa, since Ga-Koro provides much of the island's medicine. There wouldn't be any insults. It remains a very multicultural village.IC:"Take a seat." The Akiri motioned to the chair in front of his desk, using his other hand to pick up a stack of reports, and set them down in front of her."Do you know what these are?"

"Come on, grouchi, cut loose for a bit." She took another drink. Laying one arm across the counter, she leaned back, facing her two newfound allies.

    IC: (Perkahn, Lavapool Inn)

Perkahn's face snapped at this textbook example of a terrible pun.

    "Never. Never, never, never again."

IC: Hm. Must still be out...

Jolek entered the home quietly, taking a seat at the table to rest his aching legs. If nothing else, he'd gotten a good workout.

    (Arianna, Highwind place)

Shortly after, a voice resonated from the kitchen, where Arianna was in the middle of the creation of another wonderful example of what our world would know as a Greek salad. "Jolek? You home?"

  • IC: Stronin (Lavapool Inn)Intoxication and melancholy never mixed well- although Stronin was rarely ever drunk, his current state of boredom lead to the consumption of over tweny standard drinks in one sitting, something that made him extra tipsy and slightly more prone to speaking his mind."The new Sunrise book is interesting," he remarked to nobody in particular. "Jassob's love for Eddeiar will obviously end in tragedy, seeing that he is smitten with Beryal."

I saw another Toa (Or paladin, I guessed) approach and introduce himself. "Fiera." I said with a salute, "It looks like we'll be teammates." I replied, "but please excuse me, I need to go get myself fired." I winked and walked off, heading Jaller's office.

When I reached the place, I saw someone was already in there. Just my luck. I stood outside the door and waited for my turn, curiously listening in on what was going on inside.

It happens quite often when Perkahn's drunk, and even more often when he's not, and nigh always when he's neither sober nor drunk, that an overwhelming need to be helpful overtakes him. He placed a hand on Stronin's shoulder in a supportive manner, and nodded meaninglessly.

"If you want to look for her, I'll try to help you in any way I can."

"Yeah, Minty's right... probably better when things're like this to just stay on the guards' good sides. Way less trouble that way, plus you can't be kicked out of a village for not doing anything illegal." It was probably the alcohol, but she found Liacada's horrible pun to be quite hilarious, cracking up a little and quietly repeating it to herself. "I think you are the only sober one, Minty..."

Even in this state, she really didn't want to start making trouble. That was a quick way for her to ruin her career entirely, and she really needed her job, even if it wasn't really much of a job. That was when she remembered exactly why she was in the Koro in the first place. "I'm a Treasure Hunter."

"There ain't, as far as I'm aware of." She responded to Perkahn. "But I'm not here after treasure right now, I'm on a very important mission to find someone here, not sure who."

That was enough to set her off, make her start up on an explanation. It was back-story time. "You see, I used to work with a Vortixx by the name of Fov, a bit bossy but eh. He wanted to help some four-eyed smoke-puffing blade-armed thing in a cloak stop trying to kill people, become a better person. I wanted to get as far away as possible, the logical thing, right? He got all mad because I wasn't being logical about it, telling me to basically just listen to him and that my opinion didn't matter. So I ditched him, and ended up here."

"So, anyone looking for a job as a treasure hunter?"

  • IC: Nikarra (Lavapool Inn, Ta-Koro)

"Thank you," Nikarra whispered, her hand closing around the key. She stood up, turned to walk away, but then turned around again. "Look, you've done a lot for me since you saw me here, and while I have no doubt that you're doing it out of the goodness of your heart-" What heart? "-I have to ask if there's anything I can do in return. Seriously, you've given me food, drink, a place to stay and I've given you absolutely nothing. And while I understand the whole gift-giving thing I can't help but feel it's a little unfair."

The problem now, of course, was whether or not there was anything Nikarra could do for him. She asked the question of him out of guilt and, a little, out of fear -- she didn't want to live in Dorian's debt. But Dorian had done a lot for her, and he hadn't asked for anything in return, and while it was awfully moral of him Nikarra couldn't help but feel that not even offering would be taking advantage of him. Wow, that was strange -- the idea that it could be her taking advantage of Dorian, and not the other way around.

  • OOC: Viima from Le-Wahi.

    IC Viima

    (Ta-Koro):

The guards gave a hard look as Viima emerged from the tunnel between Ta-Koro and other villages. They immediately went into a routine, checking his stuff. His razor-disk caused a little paranoia, but eventually he was allowed to pass.

Geesh, the guards are more strict than I thought, Viima thought.

Viima had never been to Ta-Koro before, but had heard a lot about it. It was a huge fortress surrounded by lava and smoke. That was all Viima could see about it. Le-Koro was still his preferred village.

Viima wasn't sure how to go searching for Celite and Surina.

I'm not a detective, Viima thought. But I had better start learning how to be one.

Viima suddenly spotted a likely place.

    Lavapool Inn

Viima may not have known much about tracking others, but he knew inns and bars were good places to meet people and ask for stories. Maybe someone in there knew something about the matter?

Viima entered the place. It was far less glamorous than he had expected. Drunkards here and there. Mostly were in their senses, though.

Viima decided to start by asking the Toa of Iron first - the one NOT wasted.

"Excuse me sir, can you help me out with something?"

OOC: That's Perkahn. Others free to interact as well.

  • OOC: Toatapio Nuva, if your charrie is trying his hand at detective work, you may want to ask an actual detective

    IC: Khervos (Khervos' Detective Agency)

The dimly lit office was furnished like one of those old-timey businesses that had existed before the Dark Time. A worn out armchair was placed vis-a-vis the cluttered desk of a certain Private Eye.

I was sitting at my desk, my mind still focused on the day's exploits, as well as my current case.

"Like a Rahi snare, all it takes is a gentle tug, and BAM"

An empty bottle of wine stoof at the table, and even emptier glass of the finest Ta-Koronan volcanic glass stood in such a position that the flickering light from the roaring fireplace sent a few dancing flares bouncing off of it.

I looked at them, viualizing my inner plight through them.
