  • OOC: Sorry about this, but using movie logic is a horrible way to support anything. Plus, Toa of Fire Control fire, you really think he's going to let it burst outward? No. Sorry, the shop is only lightly damaged. Plus, Toa's entire existence is against physics. And their powers. Sorry. IC: Zyckel He walked over to his forge, reshaping the armor he had been making. Now, it was going to be a metal plate, built to cover the first of a few holes in the roof. IC: Venator "That means you're going to hurt me again, doesn't it?" He asked, not really happy about what he knew was the answer.

  • OOC:Following your logic of, 1. It was posted, 2. It happened, it didn't ruin the shop. I didn't post that Fiva destroyed the building, so that implies that he used his knowledge of fire to keep it from ruining the shop. Only you posted that the building was destroyed, and you don't have permission as far as I know to destroy the building. I did not write: "Fiva absorbed the flames, causing the building to explode." or anything like it, I wrote that Fiva saved the building, and that's what he did. Unless TDC disagrees in which case I take back my argument with my apologies. IC:FivaFiva smirked as the three left the building, and swore that he'd never let them close to the building ever again. "How can I help?" Fiva asked turning towards Zyck.

He paused, "Yes."Utu pulled the Toa up a bit and started wailing on him, fist after fist to the head. After he finished, Utu tossed him over a bit and started kicking at his ribs again a few times. He stalked away once more and for the final time, leaving the Toa groaning in pain. Utu breathed in, taking in the last of the fear that lingered in the area.He pulled his hood back up and turned the corner.

  • IC It would seem as though my errand could wait. There were wounded streaming into this clinic, the two "customer service" reps were going at it, and I could hear numerous fights and brawls echoing down the streets, complete with the sound and cracking stone and small explosions. Yup, just your average day at Ta-Koro after a major Kohlii game. The Guard would have their hands full making the peace and cleaning up after everyone. How Turaga Vakama and Jaller allowed this on a regular basis was beyond me. Still, all that said, now would be the perfect time for me to make my escape, particularly if I wanted to miss garbage detail. It wasn't hard to slip out quietly amidst the arguments, barfights, and other distractions... --------------------------------------------------------------------- "I must say Joske, you're leaving for this errand in awfully convenient, just after a game and the Guard getting called out for riot control and cleanup." I could see his resentment in his face as he handed me the tablets, a varying assortments of notarized documents from the Turaga himself. I gave my brilliant smile, the one I knew grated him the wrong way. "Hey Cap, convenient errand is convenient." I nudged him with my elbow. "You know, you would make an excellent goalie for-" "And we've been through this before Joske." "And I happen to have a open spot in the goalie position." I retorted, crossing my arms. In a burst of inspiration and grabbed him, raising my arm to envision a scene. "Imagine, you and me the Kohlii champions of Ta-Koro; me the pointman, you the goalie. And every time you blocked and amazing shot your could say the catchphrase: 'Nothing get's past the Captain of the Guard... unless he wishes it!' It'd be brilliant!" I turned to look at him, and his utterly blank look meant he was having none of it. "Yeah, and I'm a gukko's uncle." he said, pushing me away. "Why don't you take you're cleverness away to your messages, errand-boy; you've already weaseled out of yet ANOTHER training exercise AND keeping the peace in after-game maneuvers. Why don't you get out before I decide that I'm extremely short-handed and need every soldier I can get my hands on?" I grumbled and sneered as I adjusted the bag, Jaller just standing there stoic as always, arms crossed and unmoving. Always one to have the last word, I winked as I left- "You're cute when you're mad, you know that?" Snickering quietly to myself I booked down the twisting tower stairs as I heard a disk embed itself into the wall behind me, followed by an incoherent sting of words that even if I DID understand would not dare repeat. Don't let that tough attitude distract you. He really does like me... like someone likes his mother-in-law. I looked in the bag for the tablet destination: Onu-Koro. Grabbing my adventuring gear and my Kohlii staff as I left, it was to the mines I went. OOC: Joske to Onu-Wahi

The region we are in is Ta-Wahi, and the village is Ta-Koro. there are five other Wahi regions, each with a corresponding Koro village. Plus the Kumu islets on the southern tip, and the Great temple of Kini Nui in the center, where I know Makuta has a lair." Chimera paused to take a breath, this Toa was clearly not disturbed by his appearance, which somehow made him more trustworthy. "I go by the name Chiemra by the way." he said, holding out his hand. Twiak laughed. "Watch what? My feet, the sky? Do you want to watch me sequel in pain? Kyahaha, because that's what I always want see, kyahaha."

He sort of did want to see the being squeal, or do close to anything that would indicate pain, "If you ask around enough you might find somebody who will grant you your wish."IC: Tuara - Lavapool Inn, RoomTuara sat up and rubbed her face. It felt like it should be about dawn by now. Standing up and grabbing her equipment, slinging the staff sheaths around her upper body she opened the door to her room and closed it, locking it behind her. Walking down the stairs she handed the key to the being at the desk. She sat down and started eating. She thought a little bit about yesterday, hoping Salamander didn't have too bad of a first night in Ta-Koro. • Tahuva ran towards Ta-Koro. "I'M BACK!" A few Matoran recognized him. He had just come back from a journey underground in hopes of finding the Makuta's lair. Needless to say, he failed, but that also meant everyone who came with him had survived. A Ta-Matoran dropped his tools and ran to Tahuva. "Did you kill the--""No." Tahuva frowned. "But one day. The day will never come when I give up on killing Makuta." Tahuva looked further forward. "Oh, and your lava farming just failed." The Matoran started to panic, but Tahuva absorbed the heat from the lava and turned it to stone. He lifted the stone back to where it should have been and melted it again. "You might want to keep a closer eye on that stuff." Tahuva walked into the village.OOC: Anyone can interact with him. If you do so, PM me just in case I don't see it. :P

  • IC (Stralix) Stralix stood by a stall in the market, examining heatstones and lightstones. "How much for a job lot?" he asked the trader. "Can I get a discount?" The trader raised an eyebrow. "Well, if you're buying large numbers, I suppose I can give you...10 per cent off?" "30 per cent" replied Stralix. "All right then, 20 per cent," said the trader, rolling his eyes. "And how much does that come to?" "400 widgets for each crate of 200 crystals, two crates of each type, and twenty per cent off. That makes..." "1280 widgets," said Stralix straight away. He handed over the widgets, and the trader pulled four crates off his cart. Stralix tossed a few widgets to some Matoran porters, and told them to carry them up to his hut. They scurried off, hefting the heavy crates between them. As Stralix walked away, the trader shook his head. "Smart Skakdi, what next?" he muttered to himself.

    ***

Stralix had heard a while back about someone who mixed powdered Heatstones and Lightstones. The resulting explosion had destroyed their hut. This story intrigued Stralix, but it did not take him long to figure out what had happened.

When a Heatstone and a Lightstone are held together, the Heatstone will give off greater heat, due to energy transfer from the Lighstone. If the crystals are powdered, however, then there is a much greater surface area for energy transfer, so more energy is transferred, much more quickly. This causes rapid expansion and ignition of the surrounding air: an explosion.

Stralix, being an inventor, could see its potential a mile off. The resources needed to make it were so inexpensive, and the potency of the product was clearly far above Madu Cabolo or any explosive used on Mata Nui. If he could harness it...

  • IC: It had been less then an hour after he'd gotten Valria accommodated in the Guard's infirmary that Agni found Jaller, just by the entrance to his office in the Guard-Tower, next to the Koro's main-gate.The Captain was a stern man, but usually collected, despite the fiery nature the Ta-Koro villagers were attributed with. Agni knew what that nature was like. After all the same fire burned inside him. A fire, that was a motivator unlike any other, to get a job done, or to see justice served, or to win an important game of Kolhii. If there was a problem on the Island concerning them all, the public consensus in Ta-Koro was pretty straightforward: Go out there and deal with whatever needed to be dealt with. But it went beyond that. A personal agenda, a personal goal, such things were pursued with the same resolve as a Rahi that attacked the village. And it was that feeling right now that Agni felt when he thought about those that had brought so much pain to a fellow Toa. The Captain probably felt something similar, though why, Agni didn't know, but he definitely recognized the frustrated look on the Captain's face. He also noted a Kanoka that stuck out of the wall behind the Captain and his clenched hands. When Jaller noticed the Toa of fire he turned around, with a sigh. Agni snapped off a quick salute."Everything alright, Captain?" he asked. "Does it look like it is, Toa Agni?" came the counterquestion. "No, sir. Not really." the Toa admitted and sighed. Jaller rubbed the temple of his mask. "Anything in particular that I might help with?""Nothing that you need to worry about. Now, what brings you here? You were supposed to be on patrol during the Kolhii game and should already be on your next round. I assume there is a reason for that."The Captain was of course spot on in his tactical analysis, as usual. "There is. First round went by normal, but something came up on the way back. I picked up a disoriented Toa of Gravity. Female, purple and black armor, scratched Huna."Jaller gave a one-sided shrug. "Not everybody can handle our climate." he remarked."That's what I thought at first. And she was dehydrated but from what I got from her, she was held as a prisoner or slave.""Interesting." Jaller said. Agni could see he was thinking. He didn't know what the Captain would say to his proposal, but he had to take the chance and so came out with his plans."Captain, I would like to go and investigate this. Somebody managed to imprison a Toa of Gravity and traumatized her to a very high degree. I don't think we can risk a person like that walking free on the Island.""So, did she tell you who kept her prisoner?" Jaller asked."No sir. She has been traumatized to the point where just asking for a description of her captor is risking a mental breakdown. She mentioned a Toa wearing a Kakama. I know it isn't much, but it is a start.""Where is she now?" Jaller asked. Agni pointed over his shoulder, to the Guard-headquarter. "I've made sure she got some rest in the infirmary. I might get more information from her later, I just wanted to ask for permission to go ahead with my investigation."And here goes nothing...Agni thought.

He would make that Toa pay, But that would imply that he was in good condition to fight. He wasn't. And people just walked back and forth, all around him. Not even caring about the beat up Toa in the street.

  • IC (Stralix)Stralix sat down at his workbench. On it lay a couple of pestles and mortars, some small reinforced metal containers, and a Lightstone and a Heatstone."Right," said Stralix to himself, "here goes."He picked up the two crystals and held them together. Sure enough, the Heatstone grew noticeably hotter, almost making him drop it despite the thick gloves he wore."Check," he said. Now, he pulled a mortar closer and picked up the pestle. He placed the Lightstone in the bowl, and began crushing it into powder. It was surprisingly easy to crush, and soon he had a fine, softly glowing, golden powder. He put that aside, carefully placing a lid on it.Now he picked up another pestle and mortar, and did the same thing with the heatstone. He ended up with another powder, noticeably darker but giving off a fair amount of heat."And finally - " said Stralix, pulling his goggles on from his forehead. He took one of the metal containers, and put a pinch of powdered Heatstone in. Then, going outside, and holding the container at arm's length, he dropped a sprinkle of Lightstone powder in.The resulting explosion almost wrenched his arm off. Simultaneously, there was a loud, echoing CRACK, the container shot downwards, flying out of his hand, and a jet of fire and smoke shot upwards out of it.Stralix slowly took off his goggles."Nice..." he breathed. "Very nice." Still, the trouble was that it wasn't very safe. Yes, the ingredients were cheap, and Stralix liked anything that blew up with that amount of force, but it would be difficult to store for use as an explosive. And you had to manually mix it to make it explode. He walked back inside, carrying the smoking pot and deep in thought, and began making more powder.

He grabbed Twiak, and Lost used his mask to make them running at incredible speeds, just enough to catch the Toa. "Hey buddy!" He yelled at the still screaming Toa. "You need to get to a hospital!" He still didnt stop. "Twiak, stay." He teleported a bit away from the Toa of Ice, and planned to give him a nice kick to the face to stop him. "Come at me Bro." He said as the Toa slid closer and closer. "Is he... Aw Karz." He didn't think about how fast he was going, and jumped out of the way before he got slammed by the ice. Twiak walked up behind him.
