BZPRPG: Kumu Islets

IC (Lohkar)Lohkar accidentally breathed in some of his rum as he saw Doomslayer order rum for his doll.The Lesterin immediately broke into a fit of coughing, trying to get the fiery liquid out of his lungs.

IC (Erken, Kumu Islets, Black Spot Inn):"What are we doing here?" Erken asked Sulkua nervously.

IC:Kiron and Sulkua"Come on,"Sulkua dragged Kiron out."I'm thinking one of them may know who we are seeking, as the Matoran mentioned the darkest spot on the island. Should we ask some of them, Erken?"OOC:Well, your call Toatapio. Should we ask them or get some rest? I'm off for a while myself anyhow. And should the leads like thethe Matoran supporting Makuta be NPCs or characters? Oh, and Ghosthands that toast of ice thing was autocorrect, I think.

OOC: I guess it's up to you to decide whether you want to make characters out of the Makuta worshippers or just keep them as NPC's.IC (Erken, Black Spot Inn):Erken shrugged. "I'm still not sure what we're even after. I mean, we could probably ask them, but what do we want to know? How much do you know about this group, anyway?"

IC: GunnerGunner almost choked he was laughing so hard at Doomslayer. He clapped a hand on his shoulder and said, 'Doomslayer, you are, by far, the sharpest mug in the cabinet. By which I mean... the broken one. HA!'He started into a new laughing fit, pausing only to breath and drink.-Void

IC: TellusTellus was taking an experimental sip of his drink, considering that he wasn't sure what it was, when Doomslayer spoke. He broke out laughing, planning on a witty response, but then the flavor kicked in. He stopped laughing abruptly. "'Ot! 'Ot! 'OT!"Tellus desperately began fanning his mouth, before his hand slowed and stopped. "Actually.... That's pretty good!" He swallowed a mouthful, eyes watering.

IC: "ONE BIG FAT BOTTLE OF RUM!," The Captain called to the server. The toa pulled out his plush and sat it on the bench next to him. "AND ONE SMALL FOR THE LITTLE GUY, TOO."

IC (Black Spot Inn):Raknar snorted into his drink. A second later, when his laughter had abated, he laid his drink on the bar with a faintly disgusted expression, wiped his mouth, and turned to Lohkar."So we're in Xa-Koro now. Any specific plans? Or do we just hire ourselves out for odd jobes here an' there?"

IC(Delarix): Delarix swung up a seat to the other side of Lohkar, then ordered his own rum. He took a look at Raknar and said,"I just hope I find a girl for myself."

IC (Lohkar)Lohkar turned, coughing once, before speaking."Well, I did 'ave one idea," he said. He leaned closer to Raknar, a glint in his eye. "Remember that Toa o' Water from the Temple o' Wisdom? Yorlonda?"

IC: The Captain grinned. "Of course I'm the sharpest mug in the cabinet! I'm the only one present who worships the almighty deity of awe-inspiring B.A. powah..."Doomslayer's expression was the most grim anyone had ever seen him on the island. His tone was even more serious than that of the greatest Mangai soldier."'The Captain Aki Rua Doomslayer the First' plush," Aki explained, holding up said plush-which just so happened to be holding its miniature ukulele at the moment.

IC (Lohkar)There was a long silence as everyone in the bar stared at it. Eventually, Lohkar spoke."That 'as got to be the biggest waste o' widgets I've ever seen," he said slowly.

IC: TellusTellus raised his eyebrows as Doomslayer spoke. He simply stared at Doomslayer once he had finished, convinced that Doomslayer was insane."Oh, I don't know, Cap'n. Little dolls like that might 'ave their uses," he said slowly. "Fillin' up the empty space on the shelf, Namin' Day gifts...." the rest was in a barely audible mutter. "Burnin' people in effigy..."

IC: Arzanyos spoke, now holding his own rum. "Well, sometimes those widgets you stole are burning a hole in your pocket. Can't be blamed for that."

IC (Black Spot Inn):Raknar laughed. "Ahh, forget it, Capt'n. We could use a clown aboard the Infernavika, eh? And, besides, the little thing's kind of cute."As the silence drained away, Raknar lifted his glass to his lips -- then he remembered why he had put it down in the first place and did so again. "Delarix," he said, turning back round in his chair to face the winged being, "You aren't gonna get a girlfriend before me. See, I'm a charmer. And, Lohkar, I remember Yorlonda a'ight. Why? You got the hots for 'er?" Here he guffawed.

IC: Gunner - Black Spot InnGunner wrapped an arm around Delarix, flashing a knowing smile at him, 'Hm, looking for a girlfriend, are we? As it happens, I do know a lady...'He tapped a finger to his forehead, looking very contemplative, before continuing, 'Ooh, I know! Her name was Plagia! Ah yes, beautiful alright, but doesn't take any crud from no one. Careful 'round her.'-Void

IC Yasurek:Yasurek spoke up from his seat down the bar, "If we're forming a plan involving that irratating woman I can only hope we don't have a repeat of the last encounter." He took a swig of his rum. "As for the plushie, I appreciate it. Maybe with its help our cannon operator will finally be able to aim the gun at the enemy. Then he can start blowing up our foes and not the ship."

IC: Arzanyos shook his head, partially to Raknar, partially because of the rum's taste. "Hots for her? Hots for her gold's more likely I'll bet."

IC:Kiron and SulkuaSulkua shrugged."Not much. But what other place should we go to? Maybe we should rest up some place first.""How about there?"Sulkua pointed at a small inn which looked less shabby and suspicious and the others.The party walked over.

IC (Erken, Kumu Islets, another inn):Erken followed, thinking about the issue in his head. He was a Skakdi, why was he feeling uncomfortable about being at the Black Spot Inn? Then again, I always wanted to be a Matoran... he thought.

IC:Kiron and SulkuaThe three of them entered the inn and they walked into the bar.Kiron was about to get an exotic looking wine when Sulkua poked him in the ribs."Well now, we have to discuss our plans on finding the Makuta worshippers. Who do we ask first?"Sulkua asked."How about the guy there?"Kiron suggested. He was pointing to the big Matoran at the bar counter. His mask had pockmarks and rusted areas. The mask looked infected. If they had any doubts, the Matoran looked up at them and grinned evilly."He could just be like one of those weirdo Matoran who likes beating up others and does not care about his personal hygiene," Sulkua said.As if on cue, the Matoran shuffled out."I don't know what you guys think, but I'm going after him." Kiron walked over."Hello, my friend. I was wondering if you heard about a Makuta society operating here," Kiron asked jovially.The Matoran pointed to a nearby forested area and shuffled off."It's a trap," Sulkua scowled."And it's the only lead. No choice," Kiron answered.The group walked off to the forest.OOC: I was wondering what tools Erken has. A spear and something else, right?

IC (Lohkar)"Aye, Arzanyos," Lohkar said. "Raknar, while I'm you find Yorlonda very attractive, I can do a lot better than that."He smiled, knowing he'd won."She's been huntin' down artefacts for years," he continued. "Some o' the stuff she's got in that place o' hers is valuable beyond imaginin'. The Turaga leave 'er alone simply 'cos she's filthy rich an' could cause trouble for 'em. Funny that, 'ow such supposedly strong leaders give in ta politics an' blackmail so easily..."But that don't affect us. I'll bet that place is well-guarded, but not impregnable...an' I intend to get in there, 'ave a good look around, and pinch as many shinies as we can carry."

OOC: Just the spear. Erken is not of the warrior type. But he must learn...IC (Erken, Kumu Islets):Erken didn't like barging into the forest without a plan. If it was a trap, as Sulkua had suggested, they would be in big trouble."You sure this is wise?" Erken asked. "I mean, what do we do if it's a trap?"

IC: [Darylhii]Darylhii flitted through the streets of Xa-Koro, having disabled his share of Matoran for the day. Being a somewhat infamous killer, he doubted that he'd be able to rest in an inn, nor rest in the forests, for there would be mutant Rahi. So that meant he only had one choice of resting place left, and he didn't really like the idea.Sleeping in gutters.Frowning slightly, the Toa of the Green squeezed into a gutter, before wrapping vines around his sleeping area to ward off intruders.OOC: Seeing that Septimus is going to be dormant for a while, I'm going to return to using Darylhii. And also, he's open for interaction.

OOC:

...so waitraknar just called the captain in plush form cute...should i break out laughing, or break out the brain bleach?(and yes, 'cappie' is the plush, and doomie is speaking out of the corner of his mouth)IC: The Captain gave an apologetic grin to Yasurek. "ALL PART OF CAPPIE'S PLAN, I'M AFRAID," he said with a pat to the head of the plush.He then turned to Lohkar. A maniacal gleam was now in his eye. "TREASURE? METHINKS CAPPIE DOTH APPROVE!""Oh yes, I do," came the thunderous, deep intone from said Cappie as Doomslayer held him up. "I declare treasure to be officially awesome, and all of my followers who capture it will not blow up parts of ships anymore. Cuz that's, like, totally cool, of course, but people don't understand how it's cool."

IC: Kiron and SulkuaSulkua looked at Erken."We have no other choice. It's the only lead we've go-"Crassshhhhh!!!!!!!The forest exploded into chaos. Two Nui-Jaga crashed through a nearby tree. Kiron swung his Curvesword at the nearest one and knocked one mask off one of the Rahi.Too late, two big wolf-like Rahi crashed into the group and the two Toa blacked out.Kiron woke up in a cell in what looked like a cave. A Toa of Earth in a tattered black cape looked through his Mask of Mind Control."Jovrak warned ahead of time of your arrival. I look forward to knowing you all."Kiron willed himself to heat up, trying to melt his chains."Oh, do not tire yourself out. Makuta has imbued his energy into them. They are elemental energy resistant."Kiron activated his mask power but the chains shrunk with him.OOC: Well, Toatapio you could think up an escape plan.

IC - Kiox - Black Spot InnKiox, who had been sitting beside Aki, looked over at him with a strange look.This guy was a complete nutter."Can we all agree to lock him up?" he said to Lohkar, jabbing a finger at Doomslayer, who still held up a plush of himself.

OOC: Uh, okay.IC (Erken, Dungeon):Erken scanned the cave with his thermal vision and noticed that the ceiling was very warm.Lava, Erken thought in excitement. I wonder how low underground we are. If only we had a way of breaking a hole..."What do you want from us?" Erken asked the Toa of Earth to buy time.

OOC: Incidentally, TFL, what accent do you picture The Captain having?IC (Lohkar)Lohkar gave Kiox a wink."'E may be a little odd, but 'e has 'is uses," he said.

IC - Kiox - Black Spot InnHe placed a hand on his forehead."I need another drink," he said, half in reply to Lohkar, half actually needing one.He ordered a bottle of rum, but the liquid turned black and muddy in his grasp."Spirit forsaken curse," he mumbled, putting the bottle down.OOC: Three old things about Kiox:1. Speaks with a slightly British accent, especially when drunk.2. Cursed blood: element turns beverages poisonous because of a punishment.3. Overuse of the word "spirit" in expletives.Yeah, these are all apapted from GoMN Kiox, who was a Kra-Toa.

OOC: Jagorik from Po-Wahi.IC: Jagorik:Jagorik had snuck into the cave along with everyone else. "Well thanks for answering me, stranger!" Jagorik growled.

OOC: I pictured the plush form of Doomslayer to be like a fat, cartoonish, tiny, fluffy version of Doomslayer. How can that not be a little cute? IC (Black Spot Inn):Raknar blinked twice at Doomslayer. Deciding to pass over his crewmate's apparent lack of sanity, he turned back to Lohkar. "Hey, sorry Capt', I just assumed... y'know, what with Yorlonda's awful close proximity t' ya..." He grinned. "But hey, I'd take her treasure over her any day." He leaned onto the bar, gesturing to the bartender to drain and refill his mug. "So where is this li'l treasure stash? I don't wanna have come all th' way down to Xa-Koro just t' go back to civilization."

IC (Erken, dungeon):"Ah, there comes our rescue party now!" Erken said happily as Jagorik barged into the cave. "A little help here would be appreciated. And sorry for not answering!"

IC (Lohkar)Lohkar chuckled at Raknar's remarks."Ta-Wahi, south o' the Mangai lava flow," he said. "Quite a nice place she's got there, or so I hear."

IC (Black Spot Inn):The Skakdi bartender slid Raknar's now-filled mug back to him. Raknar nodded, tossed over a widget, and took a long, deep draft. The beer was unusually strong, perhaps representative of how different Xa-Koro was from the rest of Mata Nui. Save for the architecture, it was pleasantly unique; no rules, no law enforcement, every man for himself, like Zakaz.Maybe that was why Raknar liked Xa-Koro: It was nostalgic in a way, albeit far more diverse in species than Zakaz ever had or ever would be."Karzahni," he breathed, pulling the mug away from his mouth and slapping it down on the counter. A few meters away, the bartender winced a bit. "So we're goin' back north. What raiders'll we meet this time? I swear, if I get my hands on that Miha--" He wrung an imaginary neck before his face. Nothing else needed to be said.

Delarix waited for Lohkar to finish."I never did like politicians." He said, then turned to face Gunner. He took a swig full of rum and belched a small tongue of flame."Plagia, eh?" he asked, "Based on what you said she'd be a great combat partner, but I'm not so sure about love."

IC (Lohkar)"Ah, but remember," Lohkar said. "If, indeed, we do meet any unhelpful types, this time we'll 'ave fire-resistant sails an' a hold full o' Stralix's Powder ta boot. They'll never know what hit 'em."

IC (Black Spot Inn):"I'm more worried 'bout morale," Raknar replied. "It's downright annoying, bein' attacked so many times. Like the attackers don't have anything better t' do." He took another sip of beer and made a face. "'Ooh, look, a target!' I swear, it's like some syndrome running round the island. Another thing -- our deck ain't very fireproof, is it? We oughta do something 'bout that."

IC - Kiox - Black Spot Inn"You almost make it sound fun, captain." he muttered, pushing his spoiled bottle of rum off the table for soon unfortunate Matoran to clean up.He slowly unsheathed his sword, laying it on the table."I got this from the temple. I was practicing with it on the ship, and... It's called Excalibur. Do you know what that means in my native language?"

IC: Jagorik:"Rescue? I came for death!" Jagorik yelled into the air with a hint of insanity.

IC:Odhrán"Never mind sir, I'll find it myself." Odhrán said wondering away. After searching a while, Odhrán finally came upon the Black Spot Inn. He headed inside, and found a spot in the corner. "Some Rum Barkeep!" he called to the barkeep.
