BZPRPG: Kumu Islets

IC (Lohkar)"I'll ask Tellus ta give it another coat o' varnish," Lohkar replied, a hint of weariness entering his voice. He rolled his eyes at Kiox. "No, I don't know what it means, but I 'ave this funny feelin' you're about ta tell me."Just then, a Toa entered the inn, calling to the bartender for rum. The Skakdi grunted, cleaning a mug and pouring a few glugs of a nondescript beverage into it.Lohkar snorted. Just ordering 'rum'. You never knew what you were going to get.Come to think of it, this fellow looked a little...odd. Not from around here, it appeared. He wore an exceptionally silly little hat, perched on top of his head like some kind of Gukko's nest.

IC:Odhrán"Thanks Barkeep, do you mind if I call you Barkeep?" Odhrán asked, tipping his hat.

IC (Black Spot Inn):Raknar squinted at the newcomer, who tipped his hat in thanks as he received his rum....His hat?"Funny fellow, ain't he, Capt'?" asked Raknar -- a bit too loudly thanks to the influence of alcohol.

OOC: Just going to assume you meant "Kiox," Geisthande.IC - Kiox - Black Spot Inn"Well, in my language," he said, sitting back, "'Excali' means 'ice,' and 'Bur' means 'Sword.' Icesword. You do the math."A Matoran was walking by at that moment, and Kiox took the chance. Extending the blade? He sent water through it. The sword from the temple transfigured it to ice, and all the metal in the Matoran froze. An icy sort of vapor rose, reminiscent of smoke.

IC:OdhránIgnoring Raknar's comment, Odhrán downed his rum. "Barkeep! Some Old Hoto, straight out of the bottle!"

IC (Erken, dungeon):"Ah, there comes our rescue party now!" Erken said happily as Jagorik barged into the cave. "A little help here would be appreciated. And sorry for not answering!"

OOC:Who's Jagorik?IC:Kiron had sensed the lava too. But with his power locked, he could not do much. Their weapons were several feet away. Erken was distracting the Toa enough to bring his attention away."If only he were close enough..."Kiron swept his feet forward and tripped the Toa. The Toa landed near the weapons and they scattered. Sulkua's longsword flew up above their heads and clattered against the cave wall.Sulkua grabbed the longsword and sliced open Erken's chains, who sliced open their chains. The rogue Toa had regained his balance and pointed his staff and their feet. Immediately the ground rumbled."Run!" Kiron willed the lava in the ceiling to comedown, and the ceiling crashed in. He pulled along the Vortixx."Quick, give chase!" The rogue Toa screamed at the three wolf-like Rahi standing nearby. They immediately gave chase but Sulkua controlled them with his mask. They resisted as two minds attempted to control a third. Then, Sulkua managed to control them a bit more and willed them to run off. The party walked back down. The rogue Toa was on a pillar of earth but was rapidly sinking into the lava. "Well, should we help him? We can get info from him. Who do you serve?" Kiron asked.The Toa snarled."You'll get nothing from me! But you will perish even if you find him!"Sulkua thought for a while. "Is it Onu-Koro?"The Toa's eyes flashed in fear."Of course it's there. After all it's the safest route to Mangaia other than Kini-Nui.""AHHHHHHGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!" The Toa screamed in frustration and the pillar collapsed in the lava.Well, let's rest up on the surface first. Thanks for the assist, Vortixx. Do you want to join our quest?"OOC: Rataka, do you want to join us?

Jild opens his eyes to see that the ship he was on was far away from the Kumu Islets. They were approaching waters near to the next region of the island: Le-Wahi.I'll do what I must, Makuta.-Mef Man

IC: Revan: "Le-Wahi? I thought we were headed to Onu-Wahi. Is there something you are not telling me?" Revan asked the newly awoken Jild.

The Skakdi of Air rolls his eyes as he looks toward the being. "The waters of this 'Le-Wahi' come before the waters of Onu-Wahi. We can't magiclly jump from the southern tip of this island to the northern. I don't have that much power."-Mef Man

IC: "Okay, so this is why we're here..." Sulkua informed the Vortixx of their quest, from meeting the weird Matoran and illusion in Ko-Wahi, and then meeting up with Sulkua's old teammate, Kiron, in Po-Wahi where he was on vacation, then coming here, talking to the weird Matoran who seemed like he had an infected mask on, pointing them to the forest, ambushed and then coming here.The group had reached the cave opening, which was somewhere in the main island where they were captured."Well, what say you, Jagorvik? We'll rest up here for a while," Sulkua lead them back to the small inn which was less shabby and suspicious than the others."We can go to the bazaar later where we can buy back the supplies we lost in our capture," Sulkia told them.OOC: Well, you can just reply even though you told me he would join us.

OOC: Did they steal all the equipment?IC (Erken, Kumu Islets):"Sure can do. I think I'll go buy some now", Erken said, leaving Sulkua, Kiron and Jagorik and going to the bazaar. Matoran and representatives of different species were buzzing all around the market, buying and selling fares from different regions of Mata Nui. The atmosphere was not evil at all, which largely surprised Erken after what he and his friends had gone through. Erken had just enough widgets to buy a sharp, detachable talon for his right hand and a shield with the symbol of ice to wield in his left. These, Erken thought, would suffice.

IC: The three of them caught up with Erken and the two Toa bought back most of the lost items.Kiron still could not get any toothpaste, but strangely, he managed to get a toothbrush.Sulkua bought four lightstones for their quest in Onu-Wahi."Any idea on getting passage out of here?" Sulkua enquired.

OOC: Sorry, I was really tired when I wrote that post. I also spelt 'Lohkar' as 'Lohakr' XDIC (Lohkar)Lohkar raised an eyebrow slowly. Clearly this fellow had just read what was on Lohkar's bottle, an decided to order it."Like Old Hoto, do ya?" he called to the newcomer. "Not many who do."This Toa was in for a surprise once he tried his rum...Old Hoto was renowned for being perhaps the very strongest rum on the island. Few taverns served it, and it was drunk almost exclusively by Lesterin. Lohkar could down three bottles without getting tipsy; but that was thanks to the rather unique biology of his species (and his element of Water).He was going to enjoy this...OOC: You may have figured out why it's called Old Hoto. Any guesses?IC (Hahkes)Hahkes happened to be passing."Oi!" he said to Kiox. "No freezing my customers!"

OOC:Nope. Probably because it's real strong. And Odhrán didn't just ask for Old Hoto because he saw it on Lohkar's bottle, he really likes the stuff. IC:OdhránOdhrán nodded at Lohkar. "Yep, 'the stronger the rum, the better the rum' I always say." Odhrán paused, bottle to his lip, before glancing back at Lohkar. "Have we met before? I remember you from somewhere..." He shrugged. "Meh, doesn't matter." And with that he downed the bottle.OOC:I wonder if the Mask of Biomechanics would help your digestive system...

OOC: It's because the Hoto Bug is a Rahi which generates intense heat. Similar to the rum XDJust so you know, Odhran WILL be drunk by the time he finishes the bottle. The only reason Lohkar's still relatively sober is that he's a Lesterin and has powerful toxin resistance.IC (Lohkar)Lohkar grinned roguishly."I know, I just have one o' those faces, don't I?" he said. "Name's Lohkar. An' who might you be?"

OOC:Meh, drunk Odhrán acts the same as regular Odhrán. 'Cause he's always drunk. And because he could use his mask to strengthen his digestive system... Just saying.IC:OdhránOdhrán glanced up at Lohkar at the sound of his name. "Lohkar? Captain Lohkar?" he asked, returning the grin. "I'm Odhrán. Captain Odhrán Felicano Weald." Odhrán said, putting the empty bottle down.Odhrán glanced around at the group around Lohkar. "This is your crew? What's with the plushy?"

OOC: Hmm, I'm not sure if he can do that...I would think that the digestive system would be organic...but I don't know.IC (Lohkar)Lohkar smiled back, wider this time."Never heard of you," he said. "Oh, that's Doomslayer, my gunner. He's a little eccentric, but then again, aren't we all? An' he's good at blowin' stuff up, which is always helpful."He took another slurp of his Old Hoto.OOC: Just so you know, Lohkar's going to be shooting holes in Odhran's ego for the entire conversation XD

IC:Odhrán"Didn't expect you too." Odhrán said, leaning back in his chair. "Unless you know that Moylan Visic, or her sister Miha." Odhrán added, not knowing that Lohkar did know Miha. "Those two are a pain in the..."OOC:I wouldn't expect any less from Captain Jack Lohkar.

IC (Lohkar)Lohkar's eyebrows raised."The Visics?" he said. "You know 'em, eh? Aye, I know what ya mean. Only time a toddler's ever tried ta murder me. Unless ya count Kalama..."He leaned forwards."So, you're a 'Captain', are ya?"

IC:Odhrán"Know them? I had one on my crew. Until I kicked her off the ship for mutiny of course." Odhrán said. "What did you do to them?" he asked curiously. "And yes, I am a 'Captain.' What's it to you?"

IC (Erken, Kumu Islets): "So we're going to Onu-Koro? I suggest you sail off these islands first and take a tunnel in Le-Wahi to Onu-Koro."

IC (Lohkar)"Well, I may at one point 'ave snuck onto a ship they were on, stolen everything valuable and/or edible, an' got them raided by Raknar 'ere," he said nonchalantly.He took another mouthful of Old Hoto."I wonderin' what vessel you were Captain of, y'see."

IC:Odhrán"That'll do it." Odhrán said, nodding his head. "And I'm a captain of a Pirate ship. Currently unnamed at the moment."

IC (Lohkar)"Ah!" said Lohkar. "Not been a Captain for very long, 'ave you?"

IC:Odhrán"Been a captain for a while, recently... 'acquired' a new ship recently." Odhrán clarified. "Barkeep! A Protodrake!" he called, ordering some rum that was a mixture of Ta-Koro and Ga-Koro's finest drink. "What's you ship's name?"OOC:They seem to be getting along very well. I did not foresee this.

IC: Jagorik:"I'll hang around. Just don't get in my way!" Jagorik warned.

IC(Lord): The drenched toa came out of the water, on one of the larger islands in the chain. "I hate...pirates...argh..." He weighted his drill in his hand, and spun the crank to dry it. "Bloody well useless to me wet...Keep your composure, Gras." The toa of fire walked towards what his senses told him was civilization, but in truth, was a wretched hive of scum and villany.The locals called it Xa-koro.

IC (Lohkar)Lohkar finished his bottle."Now, I find this rather interestin'," Lohkar remarked. "You say you've been a Captain for a while. Now, I know every pirate captain worth 'is salt in these waters. But I've never 'eard of you. You've 'eard of me, but you don't even know the name o' my ship."He took another bottle from the bartender."Which can only lead me to conclude that you're not much of a pirate," he continued, grinning as he spat out the cork. "Savvy?"

IC:OdhránOdhrán picked up his bottle and took a sip. "I'm not from these waters. I'm from elsewhere, far away from this tiny speck of an island. I only know of you because I met one of your cremates at your ship." Odhrán explained.He took another long sip from the bottle. Why can't I just get a couple of drinks without someone ruining my day? he thought to himself.

I.C. Tradoris "All right let's go." He said to the captain. The captain promptly began sailing the ship towards Le Wahi.OOC: Tradoris sailed to Le-Wahi unless someone wants to pirate his ship.

IC (Lohkar)"Neither am I," Lohkar replied. "Neither are most of us, for that matter. But I've been 'ere a while now."The Toa looked rather hurt. Lohkar was highly amused. Sensitive people didn't make good pirates - Lohkar knew that from experience. If you wanted to be a real captain, you had to either be able to deal with what others said, or be prepared to blast their brains out for it.Or, if you were like Lohkar, fire something ten times as witty back at them and see 'em stumble."So," he continued, "stolen anythin' nice lately? Sunk any good ships?"

OOC:Hurt? He's not hurt. He just is wishing he could get a drink without having to talk to others. Lohkar's just bugging him more than anything.IC:Odhrán"Sunk a few trading ships. Got tons of good stuff from that." Odhrán said. "I was about to go to Ta-Koro, heard rumor about some profitable targets."He took another sip from his bottle. "You sink or steal anything good recently?"

IC - Kiox - Black Spot InnHe waved to the barkeeper."Sorry." He wasn't.Tapping the frozen Ga-Matoran, he shrugged, turning back and listening to the pirate captains. "I'm from a different island." he said with a hand raised.The tattoo under his eye made it obvious, but he felt he needed to say it. He then began strumming on his ukulele, very loudly and ostentatiously.

IC: Tiras:Something came from deep below Tiras' mind.Destroy Xa-KorokhhhWhat?Destroy itkhh!I won't-- I willkhhhShadow Tiras emerged from the charred remains of Tiras' mind. Now, Xa-Koro will perish using these projectile weapons, Shadow Tiras thought to himself. He loaded the cannons with their cannonballs, and fired a sonic blast at each of them. Atleast 20 cannonballs rained upon the Koro. Shadow Tiras continued the cycle of reloading and firing.

IC (Lohkar)Lohkar grinned."Looted the Temple o' Wisdom," he said casually. "Sank a couple o' small boats today; nothin' fancy. But last month, ol' Nakari the Hook an' me had a little...disagreement about the Steam Delta. Ended up with the Firetooth goin' down in flames, an' Nakari deckknived."He took a swig of rum."Oh, an' I managed ta hoodwink both Lady Yorlonda AND Commander Kalama o' the Ga-Koro Marine Corps. Nearly got the Blood Kanohi off 'em too."Kiox started playing his ukulele. Lohkar winced.Then, over the hideous sound, there was another - several repeated booms, followed by considerably closer-sounding crashes."What the Karz," Lohkar muttered, standing up and quickly going outside the Black Spot...

IC (Black Spot Inn):Yorlonda. Treasure. Underground..."'Ey, Capt', what about goin' underground Xa-Koro?" questioned Raknar. One last swig and he placed his now-empty mug on the counter. "We might find some serious treasure there, too."

IC: Shadow Tiras:Volleys and volleys of cannonballs crashed into buildings, crumbling them. Shadow Tiras kept on this arrogant attempt, firing more rounds.

Jild clenches his hands into fists as he looks at the volley of cannon fire assaulting the Islets."I could use him," he mutters under his breath. Turning to Revan, Jild asks,"You want to pick up another being for the 'road-trip?' "-Mef Man

IC:OdhránHearing the thuds of cannons, Odhrán wandered outside. He didn't like what he saw. Cannonballs were crashing into everything. "What the Karz...?" he muttered, accidentally mimicking Lohkar.
