  • Well, I play Levacius at full power, back when he was only 73,000 years old, had full access to every power of both swords and mask (which wasn't damaged yet, so it was at maximum usage), and was an extremely adept physical combatant. Combined, of course, with his intellect, and perhaps even his ships crew, each of whom is only slightly inferior to him (after the removal of his unique mask and weapons, of course). With that, I could take over this ship and best every single one of those Hackers. It would take time, but so did taking out a boss level Necromancer in Skyrim on Master difficulty. But I did it, dang it, I did it. Doesn't matter if he could one shot me I DID IT!But now the only person nearly that good is dead. Good job.Of course, there's always playing Kinksh, who is a match for any of your Techna. That is, after you remove the GM Avatar Boon. It's hard to kill someone with that. But you can do it.-Toa Levacius Zehvor :flagusa:

  • I play Shadowman.Who knows about probably every other character in the game now (especially considering he just raided a low-level hacker hangout) and close to the total layout and workings of the Techna Nui; not to mention that he's virtually undetectable due to stealth and multiple guises, has an IQ rivalling Forcyte's, able to SNIFF OUT foes, skilled in several kinds of combat as well as a sabotage, and can wage wars of attrition on people until they die.Plus, he's got more class than any of the above chars by a kilometer. He's the only one in a snazzy 'n' boss three-piece suit and bowler, ja?This guy 's walked away away from killing a bunch of Hackers thinking about what kinda hat he's gonna buy to replace the one he just lost. You think he'll be scared (or even slightly ruffled) of a few escaped convicts?Naw, the Shadowman doesn't care. The Shadowman doesn't give a defecation.[/HoneyBadger]

I have so much class I use miles. That or I'm an American. Or Liberian. I think Liberia uses it. Where is Liberia?*Just gonna say, look where Forcytes IQ got him. Nowhere. Nothing stopped the Ghost Program. I could have told him that absorbing another sentient being, composed of code or not, is a mistake. But I didn't. So hah.-Toa Levacius Zehvor :flagusa:*West Africa

  • Well then Shadowman's obviously got a HIGHER IQ than Forcyte, considering the latter didn't foresee his death as part of the GM Plot. Shadowman's already foreseen enough to literally plan his own life.So yeah. He's even smarter. And you having class doesn't matter. I should think this isn't a battle between Earthling gentlemen (i.e. us in which case i've got quite a bit of class anyways) but twixt two characters in a TBRPG. One of which obviously has a bit more class than the other-Levacius snarked, sure, but he did it without any sort of classy air or even real wit. Not to mention he doesn't wear anything formal or act the least bit formal; on the contrary, the Levacius of this RPG acted like an Honor-Before-Reason kind of grumpy old codger. Shadowman acts affably and quite politely for a murdering spy and saboteur...And all in a snazzy suit as well.

  • Nah, Zaphos is older than Hrunja, who's more Civil War era than Kingdom era.

There were two older characters before Zaphos - that Mystix guy I don't remember the name of, and some ghost dude who was alive before the Matoran Universe. That makes Zaphos third oldest.

Matrapolix is old, too. Like, old enough to be Takadox.

Or possibly fourth oldest, if Matrapolix as the character was that old. Neither Torch or Gust were, based on statements within the game, nearly that old.

And you having class doesn't matter. I should think this isn't a battle between Earthling gentlemen (i.e. us in which case i've got quite a bit of class anyways) but twixt two characters in a TBRPG. Well if this was an Earthling battle, I have absolutely no class and hate formalities. So as far as class, I think you have me (and my character) beaten on both fronts. :P

I knew it started with an 'I'.You know, inspecting the supposed 'good guys' of this RPG, they're not really that good. Matrapolix is a monster through and through. Torch and Gust are relatively sane, but the latter hasn't really done anything at all to show the Good alignment, and Torch seems to act more out of the interests of Techna than on any moral implications. Then, on the 'bad guy' side, we have... well, okay, Enalti is still terrible, but he's better than Matrapolix.Point is - my Detect Evil is coming up positive, and considering my other four characters are various flavors of Evil, Unicrons doing the universe a favor by eating the ship. :P-Toa Levacius Zehvor :flagusa:

Nor do I see why any side is any more right here than the other. I view Gust like this: he's a good, friendly, lovable guy who everyone loves, but when it comes down to it, he's only got a couple friends. So he's buried really lonely, somewhat embittered part of his personality inside of him, and under situations of deep stress, like being infected by a killer virus and accidentally spreading it into Techna's mainframe, that part of him starts to manifest itself and his old personality goes dormant. He's like Dorian Grey in some sort of way: he's not innocent in any sense of the word, but he doesn't want to be bad, so he's stuck toeing this fine line and sometimes that just gets blurred. Not to mention, he's still bitter at his best friend for dragging him onto the ship and getting him shot. My one regret is if I had joined this incarnation of Techna sooner, I would have tried to develop Gust's char a bit more, because it seems like no one understands him the way I do.-Teezy

He wants to protect the starship so as to avoid losing lives and continue its journey so he can help spread Matoran and Agori civilization across the stars. I don't see how that isn't acting on moral implications.

  • Monster? That's seriously exaggerated. I mean, honestly, he's saved a whole bunch of people, and even tolerated Levacious. The fact that he doesn't acknowledge emotions as being important doesn't mean he's a cruel killer who slays every enemy he meets. In fact, he usually jails most Hackers.Additionally, if you didn't want your (not) perfect character dead, maybe you should've tried something we all do:Play by the rules.

For the record, the third offense never specified a hit, but that's not the point I'm going to address. What I am is that by not having any emotions, he's given up, for lack of a better term, his humanity. Sure, you always can have your Stoic on a team, but by being without emotion, it's an abomination - By not having emotions, you give up everything you are. Yes, you get rid of fear, apathy, and hate, but you're also surrendering compassion, empathy, love, and hope. That may seem all fine and dandy, but it's not. I'll give it to you that Matrapolix acts for the greater good, and that yes, he may jail more Hackers than he kills. But that doesn't make it any less monstrous. He's not 'human' (matoran?). He's just an overpowered ADR.

He wants to protect the starship so as to avoid losing lives and continue its journey so he can help spread Matoran and Agori civilization across the stars. I don't see how that isn't acting on moral implications.

But which is it? Protecting the starship to avoid losing lives to spread civilization, or protecting the starship to avoid losing lives just because it's the right thing to do? There is always a reason for your intentions, and that reason is just as important as those. The actions speak loudest, but that doesn't determine if you're morally good or morally evil. Or just in between.

Not to mention, he's still bitter at his best friend for dragging him onto the ship and getting him shot. My one regret is if I had joined this incarnation of Techna sooner, I would have tried to develop Gust's char a bit more, because it seems like no one understands him the way I do.

Nobody ever understands your character (this being anyone, not just you in particular) the way that you, as the creator, will. That's why you created the character, not somebody else.-Toa Levacius Zehvor :flagusa:

It's both. Protecting the starship to avoid losing lives and thus help spread civilization is the right thing to do in Torch's eyes. Each life represents a chance for civilization in the future.Torch has been charged with protecting the Techna Nui; thus, he will protect it. He follows the philosophy of Unity, Duty, and Destiny to the letter. If his loyalty to the citizens of Techna means nothing, I don't know how to describe good.Though, guys, let's not continue to argue about this. Translations of morals won't serve much good by the time Techna ends... :sly:

I thought that already happened some point quite a few pages back. =P About the time when a massive rahi started eating people, someone got a hand sliced off, and Matrapolix pulled a Ginyu. =P(And let's not even mention the stuff that I did in my brief stint with Tsuki and his enhanced Toa 'robots'. =P)
