BZPRPG: Ga-Wahi

IC: Rannin

Rannin nodded, his tentacles dissipating as he walked over to Helios, holding out a hand.

IC: Helios (Naho Bay)

I grabbed Rannin's hand and pulled myself up, quickly plopping my rear down again near a palm tree so I had something to lean on. I panted rythmically as I surveyed the scene.

"So," I began, "how was I?" I asked innocently.

IC: Rannin

"Fun."

IC: Helios (Naho Bay)

"I'd say you have a way with words, but I think I'd be speaking out of turn" I shot back, smiling.

"Note to self, avoid the corkscrew maneuver on people with physical elements"

C: Rannin

A small chuckle emerged from the Iron Toa. "Sometimes, leess words can convey more."

IC: Helios (Naho Bay)

I nodded, he was right. He himself had managed to convey exactly how he felt about the situaton by capitalizing on every last syllable.

"What do you think, Lai Lai?" I asked.

IC Lai Lai

(Ga-Wahi, Naho Bay):

"It was very entertaining", she said. "A really good performance from both of you. I can only wish to be as good as you someday."

IC: Barthel Deliresi

I walked the streets of Ga-Koro, looking for a bar that didn't seem full of people in those late hours. After a short while had passed I finally found a place. Sure, it looked a little shady and was in poorer shape then the other bars, but at least it wasn't crowded.

I walked into the establishment, and looked around. There were only three other people there besides the barkeep. One of them was a tough looking Toa who I assumed was the bouncer. A strode over to the bar and planted myself on one of the stools. I ordered the strongest drink they had.

"Guess I'll find out if I'm still on the team tomorrow." I mumbled to myself before taking a drink. I didn't expect Theriss would kick me out for that outburst, but you never know.

IC: Vice-Captain Iraira

Kavala would have heard the keys jangling and doors opening long before she arrived. He was at the end of the line, figuratively and physically. Her military gait tromped down the final few yards and into view, a grim look set upon her kanohi hau. Grabbing a stool she reclined just out of reach, ignoring the complaints of other fugitives.

"You called?"

IC Kavala

(Ga-Koro, Prison):

"I did", Kavala said in his usual silky tone. "Have been for quite some time, actually. Exactly how long are you planning on holding me here? And if your answer is what I think it is, when exactly will I be allowed to see a lawyer, Captain?"

IC: Iraira

"Put a vice on the front end of that next time," Iraira said while shifting her weight on the stool. Her boarding axe rested along with another prize on her back, and it was tempting after all the toa of earth had done to simply eliminate his weight in paperwork with a swift stroke. And I'd be cell mates with Day. The two crooked vice-captains, like I'll let that happen.

She stood. "Your court date will be announced soon. As for a lawyer, the Ga-Koro marines will be happy to supply you a list of adequate candidates from the region. Your decision will be expected promptly." She turned to leave, a foot striking the prison hall but no further.

"Pray to your dead god, Kavala. Pray." And then she was gone.

IC Kavala

(Ga-Koro, Prison):

"Wait", Kavala said, but Iraira had been too quick. "They still insist on suing me", Kavala said to himself. "Then it'll be a battle of two lawsuits. And there's no one I need to pray to..."

Kavala stopped speaking to himself when he saw the weird looks of the other prisoners.

IC: Helios (Naho Bay)

"Well, as Colx would say: if you want the glory, then you need the patience"

IC Lai Lai

(Ga-Wahi, Naho Bay):

"Who's Colx?"

IC: Helios (Naho Bay)

"That'd be my mentor. He taught me how to fight when I first became a Toa, and now he runs a gym in Le-Koro" I replied.

IC Lai Lai

(Ga-Wahi, Naho Bay):

"Ah, he sounds wise."

IC: Helios (Naho Bay)

"In his own way, I guess, although his harsh discipline must've also played a part, I can't begin count the number of times I recieved a blow of his Impact Vision for goofing off during exercise" I replied with a cheeky smile.

IC Lai Lai

(Ga-Wahi, Naho Bay):

"Impact vision?" Lai Lai repeated, perplexed. "You mean he's a... Skakdi?"

IC: Helios (Naho Bay)

It wasn't exactly an unexpected reaction, Colx himself was in some ways living proof of why Skakdi had such a bad reputation, except not quite as pronounced, at least he managed to be a functioning member of society.

Might as well go for broke.

"Yup; Skakdi, former mercenary and fellow gravity elemental"

"In actuality, we make up a trio. Me, Colx and Melna; Toa, Skakdi and Lesterin of Gravity respectively"

IC Lai Lai

(Ga-Wahi, Naho Bay):

Former mercenary. That explained it.

"That's weird", Lai Lai said. Her voice did not carry any offensive tones, though the words may be interpreted as such. "I'd imagine a trio like that to be made up of a Matoran, Toa and Turaga. But never a Toa, Skakdi and Lesterin. Lesterin, they're pretty strange too. How do you guys get along with all your... differences?"

IC: Helios (Naho Bay)

"Well, that's always amused me, too" I admitted, beginning to reminisce.

"You see, we lived in a small corner of Le-Koro, sort of like its own little neighborhood of sorts. Melna was an athlete, Kewa Bird Racer, if I remember correctly. I was, of course, a disk maker, and Colx a retired mercenary. Originally I lived there alone, but first Melna moved in, and very soon after Colx. I think it was Melna who first made contact, actually. She's always like that, so optimistic and sunny, her enthusiasm was contagious. And for all his faults, Colx is really more laid-back than he is nasty, he's sorta used up that part of himself already. Time and neighborly etiquette did the rest, really."

"And now, both Melna and I are out on seperate travels across the island, I'm looking for a chance to be the hero, Melna's looking for adventure. And we stay in touch via mail on the regular"

IC Lai Lai

(Ga-Wahi, Naho Bay):

Lai Lai smiled. "How can you send and receive mail if you're on the move all the time?"

IC: Helios (Naho Bay)

"We make sure to tell each other where we are and where we'll be going, so usually there's a letter waiting for us in a given Koro's post office." I replied.

"And if we miss the mark somewhat, we still know where Colx can be found, and he can redirect us"

IC: Rannin

"I see."

IC Lai Lai

(Ga-Wahi, Naho Bay):

"You sure go through a lot of trouble to keep in touch", Lai Lai mused. "You must be really close..."

IC: Helios (Naho Bay)

"Best friends" I responded staunchly, thumbs up.

"It's a bit of a hassle, but it's worth it in the long run"

Ic: Rannin

"My best friend fell into a ravine."

IC Lai Lai

(Ga-Wahi, Naho Bay):

"I'm sorry, Rannin."

IC: Rannin

"He is most likely still alive."

IC: Helios (Naho Bay)

"Ummm," I mumbled again, "that's... that's weird. Didn't you think of going after him if you thought he was alive?"

IC: Rannin

"He fell into a ravine."

IC: Voulge

Voulge was currently down in the small bar of the inn the team had been staying at enjoying some more or less watered down ale. He seemed deep in thought and not fully aware of his surroundings

"And a ravine is...?"

IC: Rannin

"Hole in the ground."

IC: Helios (Naho Bay)

"And you couldn't follow him down there or pull him up or something?"

IC: Rannin

"It is a narrower version of a canyon."

IC: Helios (Naho Bay)

"Alright, I give up" I called, throwing my hands up in frustration.

"I'll just remember not to fall down any ravines if my life is in your hands"

IC Lai Lai

(Ga-Wahi, Naho Bay):

Lai Lai blinked.

"Now that's creepy."

IC: Rannin

"Very well."

IC: Helios (Naho Bay)

"Anyway, I gotta get back to work" I said as I stood up.

"It was nice meeting you guys"
