BZPRPG: Kini-Nui

IC: Kirbati:I am not limited to one mind, Jeni. Now where too now? Kirbati said blankly.

IC(Jeni): "Didn't we need to collapse the tunnel to stem his troops?"

IC: Kirbati:Ohh. That's right.. Kirbati realized as he forced the tunnel to collapse, rubble falling down into the entrance.

IC(Jeni): "Well then...Where do we go from here?"

IC: "Well" Weta replied "From here at Kini-nui, the closest landmark to our current position is the Fau Swamp. That means we could head North into Ko-wahi, South in to Le-wahi or East into Ta-wahi, back the way we came. However, the sun will be setting soon, and if you do not want to do any more travellint today, the hut where I used to live with Tang the hermit is not far from here. It would be a squeeze, but it would be a roof over our heads for the night, and a degree of comfort".

IC(Baron): The toa of plasma found the group to be quite goody-goody. He slipped away, travelling overnight back to Po-wahi.IC(Zand's Armada): "Is there enough room for...I think there are seven of us. I could sleep outside." Zand inquired, wondering about the size of the hut.

IC "Not likely. It was comfortable for the two of us, but we never had guests so there is no extra accommodation inside. I'm sure we could sort something out though."

IC: Kirbati:Since this adventure is over, we must part paths. Farewell Weta and Jeni, noble travelers. May the odds ever be in your favor, Kirbati said as he stepped upon the pillars of earth he made.OOC: Kirbati to Le-Wahi.

IC "You're not coming with us? Weta asked, confused. Never had the toa of earth mentioned other plans beyond Kini-nui, and so walking off so abrptly was quite a surprise. Still, he was entiltled to do as he pleased, walk his own path, and his departure went some way towards solving their accommodation problem."Ah well" he sighed "Shall we go then?"

IC(Jeni, Zand, Mirr): "Jeni...do you want to remain with him, or come with us...to go who-knows where? Because with us, I wouldn't think that the cottage would be very roomy." Zand looked at Jeni, eagerly awaiting her responce."I...think I'll go with Weta. If that's okay with you.""Of course. Come, Mirr, Lyrica, Naru."------------Mirr walked up to Zand as they walked away. "Um, Zand. Have you ever heard a voice that sounded kinda...green?"Zand raised an eyebrow at Mirr. "What do you mean, 'Green?'"Kinda like what Jeni sounds like, but...male-er."The vortixx chuckled. "Like a certain 'Reckless Toa-hero?'""???""I wonder how you can audibly make that noise. Anyway, you probably heard Ariga's voice. You did just find out he died after all. And now you have his mask.""Huh?""He wore that mask for countless aeons. It would have some...residual energy on it. Enough to tether a bit of consciousness to it.""That...sounds a little...""Strange? I do agree. It doe-" Something caught his eye. It was behind a thick wad of vines and leaves and other such greenery. What caught his eye, was that it was bright blue.

IC (Naru)"I don't get it," Naru said, a bit annoyed as she followed the group of strangers. "What's so special about that mask? Who did we just meet and then leave again? Where are we going and what are you doing?"The Toa of Plasma had gotten the impression that they were going to Kini-Nui to gather a team. Now most of that team had left again, and the whole ordeal didn't seem like more of a wild goose chase into the most dangerous territory on the island.

IC(Zand): "No idea where we're going. No idea what we're doing. Maybe gather a team. And the mask...is of someone important. But this...canister. It belonged to him. No idea what it's doing all the way over here, miles from any source of ocean." The vortixx climbed the canister, opening it up. "Erm...stay out here."The inside of the canister was huge. And dark. Zand placed his hand over the control mechanism. "For the love of...how did this get here?" He began smashing the controls. After five minutes, the Toa Canister was completley broken."Yeah, I think we should form something like an army. Or join one. Or...I don't know. I have no idea what to do now..."

IC (Naru)"That still doesn't explain anything at all," Naru sighed. "Who, exactly, did the mask belong to?"

IC(Zand): "Ariga, Toa of Air. Helped me back on Xia after the whole leg-loss thing. Came over here a while after that, and...he died. Jeni is his daughter."

IC (Naru)"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. Did it happen recently, or...?"

IC(Zand): "VERY recently. In the last...3 or so days." He put his head down. "It's getting Dark, we should set up camp."

IC (Naru)"I see. But what about his mask, then? Looked like your average Kanohi to me."

IC(Zand): "He's worn it for...a very long time. It's special like that."

IC (Naru)Naru cracked a smile at this."We came all the way here and nearly died... for a regular mask?"

IC(Zand): "It's anything but ordinary. It's quite extraordinary, if I do say so myself. He did amazing things, and somehow was always alive. Dying was most likely part of a plan of his. Now, could you help set up camp?" The rest of the group had been setting up several makeshift tents while the two were talking.

IC (Naru)"I don't see how dying would serve any sort of purpose, but I guess I'll have to believe you for now. But still," Naru poked Zand's chest with her finger, "it's just a mask."The Toa of Plasma grabbed a piece of fabric and chucked six of her knives into the ground to pin it down. Then she lifted each end of the cloth with rods made from wooden sticks."Done," she said.

IC(Zand): "He was very eccentric. And we wouldn't die because of some...rocks falling." He finished his tent. "Okay, well, that's done. I think I'll head off to bed now."OOC: Dream sequence in three...two...[DATA REDACTED]

IC (Naru)Morning rose, and even though Naru had trouble sleeping due to the noise of some distant storm, she was still the first to wake. The Toa of Plasma crawled out of her tent and stretched herself after a night on the ground. When she saw that no one else was currently awake, she decided to do something she had wanted to do the day before: inspect the strange canister that was still lying a short distance away from their camp.She walked silently over to it, and peered into the large, cylindrical chamber. Seeing nothing, she summoned a tiny bit of plasma to illuminate the inside.OOC: Tell me what I see, Nitro.

IC(Ariga's Canister?): The inside of the canister was...well...a bit larger than the outside. Well, it was actually the same size, but an optical illusion made it seem bigger on the inside. The controls for life support had been smashed by Zand the day prior, and a small cabinet-like thing held various items--clothing items like Bow Ties and Fezzes, and a survival knife. But Zand had overlooked something...a note, written in a strange language, just inside of one of the Fezzes.

IC (Naru)While the clothing was somewhat intriguing and gave an insight in what the person it belonged to had been like, Naru ignored it the second she spotted the note. She tried to read it, but found that she couldn't. Somewhat annoyed that she didn't wear a Mask of Translation, Naru pocketed the note for later. She then picked up the survival knife, found it neat, and put it in one of her empty holsters. She hoped Zand wouldn't recognize it. But if he did... it didn't really matter, she decided.Dead is dead. No point in leaving it for someone who can't use it anymore.

IC(Mirr): Mirr awoke. He had had a terrible nightmare, and overlooked his things. Okay, I still have all my limbs and organs...Why do I worry about that? As much as he tried, he couldn't get back to sleep.

IC (Naru)Naru returned to camp, her glowing hand still showing the way by means of flickering pink and orange plasma light. She saw that Mirr was stirring in his tent, and went over to him."Something wrong?" she asked, crouching down to reach his level.

IC(Mirr): "EEP!" He jumped, startled by someone else being awake and in his tent."You scared me! Anyway, I just woke up, and can't get to sleep. Why are you awake?"

IC (Naru)"Why, because it's morning, of course," Naru said with a smile. True enough, the sun was dawning over the horizon. "There was a storm tonight, is that what kept you awake? It was far away, somewhere near Le-Wahi, but it was still possible to hear the thunder roar..."OOC: But here where I am, it's 2 AM. So goodnight.

IC: PulsePulse walked over to the Kini-Nui. He noticed the cracked surface of the Suva-Kaita, and the broken seal. I wonder how that happened?He had come to the Kini-Nui for peace, and quiet.OOC: Pulse open for interaction.

IC(Zand's Armada): The Vortixx awoke. "The sun is up already. Well..." He sighed. "No dreams from Ariga...Better get going...somewhere..." He picked up the various bits of equipment he had, and walked out of his tent. Lyrica walked out not too long afterwards."Mornin', whippy."The prosecutor glared at the Vortixx. "Sinister beast. Don't you DARE call me 'Whippy'. I am Professor Lyrica Melazin, and you are to address me as nothing lower than that!"Zand rolled his eyes. "Eh, whatever. Mirr! Naru!" He called out for them as he undid his tent. "C'mon, we're leaving!"OOC: Pulse could, most likely, hear them from the Suva-nui.

IC: PulseWhile Pulse had come for peace and quiet, he did not get it. He soon heard shouting from nearby, and decided to try and find where it was coming from.OOC: That's you.

IC: When Weta awoke, he heard that other people were already up and active. The Toa of magentism rolled out from under his blankets and stood up, forgetting that he was in a tent. After a struggle to extricate himself from the mess of frbric and poles he had created, he found that someone new had joined the group."Morning everyone" he said "Who's this?"

IC: Pulse"My name is Pulse." Pulse didn't speak often, usually remaining silent. So his speeh sounded a little awkward.OOC: Thank the Great Beings, finally some action in this Mata-Nui forsaken topic!

IC(Zand, Jeni): "Wait, what? Who...why...zuh?" Jeni was now confused, as to the fact that someone had just wandered into their campsite."I agree. Zuh? Anyway, why are you here, and why does your voice sound like that?"

IC: Pulse"I apologise. I don't speak often." Pulse was beginning to sound a bit more... normal... when he was speaking.

IC: "I see" Weta said to the new toa. "Nice to meet you. I'm toa Weta, and these people are Zand's Armada. What brings you to Kini-nui?"

IC: Pulse"The quiet brings me to Kini-Nui. It was once one of the most peaceful places on the island..." Not anymore.

OOC: Mataiti from Le-Wahi.IC (Mataiti, Kini-Nui): Mataiti came into the clearing around Kini-Nui and spotted some Toa talking with each other. Yes, Mataiti thought. Just what I needed.Mataiti walked over to Pulse, Weta and the others. "Hello there!" he greeted them all cheerfully. "You gonna go and challenge Makuta down there? I thought I'd find someone with spirit over here."OOC: I hope you (Pulse, Weta and the others, whoever is with them) don't mind the sudden interaction...

OOC: I'm just glad someone posted. I was in the discussion topic about to make a post asking someone to reply!IC: Pulse"I doubt it. I will soon be leaving. I am travelling the island to find a place of peace, and there is an old friend I would like to see again." Pulse replied.
