Fare thee well, Legion.
Given this turn of events, I have some questions for the GMs.
Marrow's backstory had him being desecrated by Legion, so what does that mean for him now that Legion is out of play?
The last Legion post was back in May, and the only interaction he had with Marrow was brief contact through Aspect telepathy that we ended up ignoring because we realised Legion didn't actually have that power unlocked yet. With that in mind, would it be permissible for me to retcon Marrow's backstory to say he was desecrated by a different player Aspect, if I were able to find another player who's interested in taking him on as a follower, and it makes sense for them to have crossed paths?
Yes
The nuva mystery is revealed! I'm very excited to see how this all pans out! (And more than a little worried about those new psychological flaws that come with it!)
Congrats to all involved!

Nuva Masks: the mask you were wearing is fused to your face and its abilities are considered one of your breed quirks. Pick a new mask to wear over your fused mask. This new mask is your Nuva mask. It’s appearance is more organic than other masks. You may share your Nuva mask’s power with up to two other willing creatures you see within your elemental range. While you may personally use both mask powers, you can only share the powers of your Nuva mask.
So does the sharing your breed quirks ruling override the only sharing the Nuva mask ruling? Or does the only sharing your Nuva mask ruling override the sharing breed quirks ruling?
It seems to me that the Nuva mask ruling overrides the shared breed quirks ruling, but I'd like to know for sure.
The powers are written with consideration to the possibility of a character replacing their Nuva Mask with another mask. They do not override each other.
Oh, so both are true? Interesting. That's WAY better than what I was thinking.
To be clear, the breed quirk mask powers can be shared along with the Nuva mask powers. That's what I believe you are ruling here.
I do have a question regarding the nuva masks, can they be worn and used by anyone capable of using conventional kanohi, or does the wearer need to be nuva(or at least nuva proxima) to actually utilise the mask?
EDIT: followup question, in the event of a NUVA powered being dying, does the power become available to gain once more by someone else?
I have a couple of NUVA-related points I wanted to clarify.
It looks like there are several questions regarding Nuva and Nuva Proxima. If you have a question regarding Nuva and Nuva Proxima, and you have not yet asked here, feel free to leave it as a comment in this topic, and the GMs will do a mass response later on.
I have question to add regarding the Nuva's elemental powers. In canon, the Kingdom alternate version of Onua Nuva was able to "ward" the earth near the light barriers, which would allow him to sense when a being was walking there. Would our Nuva have this sort of power? I.e. Atamai creates a metal sheet that he wards so he can tell if someone steps on it.
Nuva Proxima states they need to find a new mask, yet Nuva says they need to choose a new mask. If you receive Nuva, do you get a free mask of your choosing immediately upon transformation?
The cut off for Nuva/Proxima questions is 4 hours from now. Once we're at 5:30 Pacific, I'll be pulling all the questions into a single mass response.
My questions in purple.
Nuva Proxima occurs as a side effect of the Nuva process within the elemental temples. The closest individual to the source of the change receives the tiniest amount of what the disk-bearer experiences and receives the following benefits:
All currently active psychological effects or powers are removed.
All diseases are removed.
Does this include Desecration or Infected Masks?
You may share your element and breed quirks with one other willing creature you see within your elemental range.
Do you need to be actively looking at the willing creature to maintain the sharing?
Will any obstruction, such as passing behind a tree for a second as you walk, break the sharing? And will it need to be reestablished?
The mask you were wearing is fused to your face and you require a new mask. The old mask is now considered one of your breed quirks. If you could not use kanohi masks before, you now gain a breed quirk that says: “you may wear kanohi masks and access their powers.”
If a Skakdi wears a mask before becoming Nuva Proxima, will he gain the powers of the mask as a breed quirk, even though he couldn't use a mask before?
Arkius Grew in size and strength when he was transformed, is this true for all Nuva Proxima recipients, and for Nuva recipients as well?
NUVA (Character Changes):
Great Disk Empowered: As a breed quirk, you may concentrate and fire a beam of energy with the same power type as the Great Disk used in your Nuva transformation at a target within your sight. You may use this breed quirk with the same strength and control as a toa controls their innate element.
Can this power be used on yourself? Such as for the Teleportation Great Disc.
If you could not use kanohi masks before, you now gain a breed quirk that says: “you may wear kanohi masks and access their powers.”
Does the Nuva being know the next mask they wear will become their Nuva one?
And to be clear, you can share both your breed quirk mask powers and your Nuva mask powers at once?
Chosen Pilot, Living Key: you are the chosen primary pilot of the kaita mech assigned to you. Your assigned kaita mech is the same element as the ruin where your Nuva transformation occurred. For example, becoming Nuva in the Ruin of Air assigns the Air Kaita Mech. You must be piloting your assigned Kaita mech for it to run. See your Kaita Mech’s profile for additional information.
Does this Kaita mech count as being a Kaita when it comes to being able to injure Tahtoraks?
Why are the Nuva called the Nuva? They're old.

Asking the real questions here.
NUVA and NUVA Proxima Q&A:
Thanks everyone for submitting your questions. Many questions were general clarification questions regarding sections of the NUVA and NUVA Proxima power-ups that were not specific enough. In response, I've fully edited the NUVA and NUVA Proxima power-ups to be more specific. They are live on in the Character Profiles and Rules topic, and can also be found in the appropriate spoiler tags below for immediate reference.
NUVA Power-up:
Your character can receive the NUVA power-up by completing the final task in an Elemental Temple Ruin: activating the kanoka disk device by inserting the correct Great Kanoka Disk. This power-up is available for one character per Elemental Temple Ruin.
NUVA Power-up Character Profile:
NUVA Proxima Power-up:
NUVA Proxima occurs as a side effect of the NUVA power-up in each Elemental Temple Ruin. The closest character to whoever receives the NUVA power-up receives the NUVA Proxima power-up. The NUVA Proxima power-up is available for one character per Elemental Temple Ruin.

Questions Regarding NUVA and NUVA Proxima Power-ups:
We compiled all the questions regarding NUVA and NUVA Proxima posed in this topic before the cut-off time. While many questions were answered by clarifying/specifying in the rules themselves, we wanted to make sure all questions were answered and so some answers will redirect to reading the rules for the power-ups.
Thanks for submitting your questions. Additional questions can be posted below in this topic. If you require personalized assistance, consider submitting a PM to @Eyru.

The new NUVA profile states:
Quote
- You may concentrate and fire a beam of energy with the same power type and strength as the Great Kanoka Disk used in your NUVA power-up at a target within your sight.
You removed the term Toa level control from this section. Was that intentional? Are the effects now random instead of controllable? Think teleportation or reconstruct at random.
It is written as it was intended.
Interesting. In that case then I'm surprised Proxima got a buff to also be able to share with two beings.
Super excited to see these in play. Congratulations to those who unlocked NUVA!
Thank you so much UN for taking the time out to be our GM. We appreciate all you do for us and this amazing world you've crafted.
Thanks for taking the time to sift through all our crazy questions.
I think you've clarified all the things I was uncertain about, so expect a new profile for Sidra soon.
Veeeeery interesting! Thank you for the answers, and congrats again to our new NUVA characters!
Who am I kidding? It'll kill ya.
So I tried searching this topic and didn't find an answer, but for whom would it be reasonable to know how to form a Kaita fusion?
Anyone capable of doing so per the rules.
Do Nuva and Nuva Proxima transformed variants count the same as non-transformed variants of a Breed when fusing? As in can transformed and non-transformed individuals form a Kaita together?
I think the specific rules you're looking for are these:
Quote
Kaita Fusion:
Three willing PCs of a similar breed (three matoran, three skakdi, three toa, etc.) of differing elements may form a kaita. A kaita is a Lesser Spirit, and governs a domain of its cultural ethos. All three players may post as the kaita, but they can only post once per interaction or in combat. Do not use the advantage of multiple players to double post as a Kaita. Kaita Fusions follow all the same rules as PCs and require an approved profile. GMs are actively watching for Kaita Fusion abuse.
Arkius is considered a Toa NUVA Proxima, so his protoderm base breed is Toa. This means he may form a Kaita with other Toa PCs played by two other willing players.
Hope that helps!
@Unreliable Narrator, hello, I have a potentially troublesome question regarding an imminent character submission of mine, and was suggested to put it here for you!
My upcoming character is old. And in a position of great influence in their community. By the nature of her position she would have taken on many kraata in her life. however, as I want to stick by the rules as laid out, she obviously can't have all those kraata, she is limited to one. My question then, is this: Assuming my character lived long enough that the Aspects responsible for the creation of those Kraata (that she can't have but would have nutured because culture)have since been reclaimed by the Antidermis pits, could she then still have all these now inactive or potentially even deceased kraata attached to her still?
Quick question re. Vahki.
Zaliyah still has two of the Vahki from the Razorfish with her. I've been having them carrying out basic tasks for her since the ship went down, bringing League assets back to the city, but once they actually get back to Metru Nui, will those Vahki remain under her command, or will they revert to being part of the Hive/under Aurax's control? I remember it being said that the airship Vahki were all nullifiers, so they'd be more independent than most, but I'm not sure how far I'd be allowed to push that.
Also, I'm possibly planning some actions for Zaliyah that involve trying to contact NPCs in the city via her radio, so is there a specific GM I should tag for that?
1.) @The UltimoScorp, you may find more enjoyment playing your current character for the remaining 23 days of this game than in making a new one and trying to get started. If you feel your character is not having the interaction you want, there's no harm in sending them somewhere else. This is a game, and game's should be fun. To answer your question directly: the kraata would detach, more than likely, but it entirely depends on the aspect's knowledge of taboos.
2.) @Nato the Traveler: the vahki NPCs work for the League of Six Kingdoms Faction, now the "Kingdom of Aurax." They would return to their work functions under Aurax's general leadership and diplomatic strategy, whatever that may be.
Thank you for your answer, and wow, yeah, that endpoint for this game is coming up fast, huh? Might just hold on to her for SK3 then
On the BS01 page for the Great Discs (https://biosector01.com/wiki/Great_Disks), it says:
QuoteThey have the ability to emit beams of energy, which were used to destroy the Morbuzakh.
Is this true for SK as well, that any Great Disc is capable of emitting a beam of pure energy that is not their Kanoka power (Teleportation, Freeze, etc.)?
That’s kind of the principle of what Atamai did to Axonn, albeit it was a time-based power since they were altogether.
Where did everyone go? We haven't had a post for a couple days now.
Site's haunted
We were here.
We were always here.
Thanks to @Tarn for jamming this out, was loads of fun.
Sorry I don’t post as often or make posts as long as I used to right now, not been in the right mental place to do it. Apologies to everyone I have held up.
The end of Six Kingdoms: Rebirth approaches! As a reminder, Rebirth's game topic will be locking afternoon/evening December 31st (Pacific Time). The third (and final) game in the Six Kingdoms trilogy will begin January 1st 2021 (again, Pacific Time).
To celebrate the past several months of stories created, and to get hype for what's to come, I'll be once again answering one question for each new page in the game topic of SKR! If you get the first post on a new page, you can pose a question about the Six Kingdoms games (1, 2, or 3) in this OOC topic and I'll answer it!
Since I had the first post on this latest page, do I get to pose a question? And if so, is this the question?
