NGL I love puzzles.
Alright, another week has passed. Thank you very much UN for adding your input.
Based on the feedback we've received, the current plan is to do a timeskip of an indeterminate amount of time to give Sidra and Viltia the experience and physical and mental training required that only comes from repetition over time. This level of experience will allow them to be able to craft a Great Disc with each other's help in later posts. This timeskip won't happen immediately, but Nato and I will be looking for the appropriate moment to implement it.
Thank you to everyone who helped us figure this out in the best way for the community as a whole.

Meanwhile in response to other things.
You may love puzzles, UN, but they sure are hard for me to wrap my brain around when I can't actually see them.
Also I wonder what will happen when it's nighttime by Sala, Nixie, and Sorilax. Since Sorilax learned a Taboo, will another star go out? Or maybe it already went out and no one could see it since it's daytime by them.
I encourage you to read EW's reply if you're at all worried about letting your character take a hit. Taking a hit leads to awesome stuff.
You mean awesome stuff like the Bionicle equivalent of broken bones and ruptured organs?
Seriously though that post was amazing.
Hello all,
Personal issues arose in the last week. Apologies for the delay.
Things are a bit better, working on resuming normal post schedule.

Think you missed this in your last Ruins of Air response. Would Morangad's search turn up anything? @Unreliable Narrator
Thanks for checking in! Didn't miss it, but didn't include it as I'm still working on that description.
Oh, I see! Looking forward, then.
If you have a character in Po-Koro or Metru-Koro:
Hi all, so: it has come to my attention that I put too much on my plate, and just take far too long to reply to things. I have therefore decided to officially drop out of SKR.
Thank you all for having me join you for a while, it was fun! And I wish you all best of luck for your storytelling endeavours.
Thanks for playing while you did! It was fun. Hope to see you back someday!
For the lorehounds (and those who joined after SKE):
and
may be helpful.
Apologies to those waiting on a response from one of us GMs -- I have a lot of work ramping up right now (maybe you've heard of a little product called Zendikar Rising) and I am working on posts as quickly as I can between other obligations. I know things have slowed down to my inability to post, and I apologize for that.
Thanks for continuing to play folks! I'm very excited about what's going on right now in game. Did you know we're on the way to having 4 ruins completed? That's seriously awesome!
also edit:
@~Xemnas~, I think it's your turn with Atamai?
We've done it, lads! I, uh, didn't exactly figure it out, but now I've completed one of UN's puzzles. I'm think the title of tier 3 or 4 genius is in order.
Also it's very interesting that for Sidra when she first unlocked the Ice Suva, the Suva showed her the region of its range and she could "see" into it and the items within, whereas the Air Suva didn't show Nixie, Sala, or Sorilax anything and then listed off the items through mental speech. Maybe it'll happen when one of them tries to access the items? Maybe Sorilax being there as an Aspect causes the Suva to withhold certain parts of itself?
Very exciting. Can't wait to finally run around again with Sorilax and maybe even get the Kraata Taboo.
Maybe I forgot and need to edit it in.
Lol wow. Yeah I guess that could be an option too, I suppose.
Hey, @Nato the Traveler, @EmperorWhenua, and @Crimson Jester It looks like some of you are either trying to access the Ice Suva or are getting out of its range. Please make sure your character profiles accurately reflect what items you have taken from the suva.
At this time, my notes indicate the following items in the Ice Suva:
If these items are incorrect, please reply here in OOC so we can make sure the suva stays up to date. I admit with working picking up I wasn't keeping detailed track like I'd been earlier in the game.
IMPORTANT: please remember, moving into a different region will remove your character's connection to the suva. These rules seem kind of vague, so I'm happy to let anything up to this point stay as without change. How does a suva range of approximately 3 hexes feel moving forward? You will want your characters to return to the suva to pray and reconnect (no need to solve a puzzle, just visit and pray) in order to restore the suva's benefits.
PS: hey everyone keep your eyes out for a 6 months survey.
Yep, that checks out with what I had in Sidra's profile.
I was aware that going to the swamps would put me well and truly out of the Suva's range. Good to know there's a way to reconnect with it.
Regarding Suva functions, can a player pull out and put in items themselves, or does a player need a GM to respond to any action they take?
Feel free, just tag GM's so we can update our records.
Does a Suva function solely through swapping, or can you put in and take out items regardless of having an equivalent item to take its place?
See below for rules on suva usage, including the updated range of 3 hexes for clarity.
Suva:
A registered user of a suva may withdraw an item from a suva using their mind by depositing an equivalent item (mask for mask, etc.) from their person in a suva while within a suva’s regional range of 3 hexes on the world map. A registered user is aware of the contents within the suva at all times while within range. More than one user may be registered with a suva. A user may be registered with only a single suva, and it should be noted on their character profile. Registering with a different suva temple ends any ongoing suva registrations elsewhere.
So you're saying the Air Suva will only ever have three items in it? There is no way to add more?
You know what, that does seem weird. Let's change the rules so it feels better.
Suva:
A registered user of a suva may withdraw an item from a suva using their mind by depositing an equivalent item (mask for mask, etc.) from their person in a suva while within a suva’s regional range of 3 hexes on the world map. A registered user of a suva may add an item to a suva without having to withdraw something of equal type. A registered user is aware of the contents within the suva at all times while within range. More than one user may be registered with a suva. A user may be registered with only a single suva, and it should be noted on their character profile. Registering with a different suva temple ends any ongoing suva registrations elsewhere.
Now what I'm hoping is that there's a Suva at Kini Nui that can draw from your main Suva so you can then make a golden mask by placing six masks on a statue. Kind of like how the Toa Mata got their own golden masks, except this time you can choose any six Masks and the statue makes the mask through merging instead of being straight from Artakha. That's just a hope, though, but also a reason I want Viltia to learn how to make masks so I can try it out and see if there's anything to my idea.

While we're on the topic of Suvas, I actually wanted to seek some clarification on just how "equivalent" something needs to be.
Does any weapon/tool swap for any other weapon/tool, or do they need to be similar? Case in point, Sidra swapped a powered sword (her electro-chute blade) for a powered sword (Kopaka's blade), but if she wanted to get her original blade back at some point in the future (assuming it's still there) could she just exchange it for something like her dagger, or would it need to be something more advanced?
I'd saw an equivalent item is more to do with the wording of the item and general common sense. In example, a mask for a sword is a no. A spear for a dagger is a no. Mask for mask -- sure! Use your best judgement.
An eye for an aye-aye?
Wow, UN, that last post of yours was an absolute treat to read. Bravo. I really felt "my" NPCs come to life.
Also I totally called it that it was going to start raining. Let's see how bad this day can get, boys!
Thanks @Kal the Guardian, the compliment means a lot.
Speaking of compliments and praise, congratulations to the team in the ruins of air for successfully completing the main puzzle!
That certainly wasn't the solution I was expecting. Well done once again for giving me a headache.
I don't know whether to feel dumb for overthinking it, or disappointed that it turned out to be so simple.
Quoteunless Morangad has a connection to shadow through shadow blight or being the desecrated follower of an aspect he's unable to receive the taboo. I can't remember if he's desecrated or not...
He is not, nor does he care to be (at this point in time).
As a player, I'm sad to miss the opportunity to get evil powers, but it just wouldn't be right for Morangad's character right now.
And Providence has some opportunities ahead of him to learn a Taboo still, anyhow.
Good to know, thanks! They will be plenty of opportunities to still engage with the new thing.
EDIT: BS01 updated the kraata variations page to have images and I am here for that.
Oh yeah, that was an amazing addition. It connects me even more to the Kraata I had as a kid. Such good memories.
Kraata and Infected masks have been added to the rules with the discovery of their taboo in the ruins of Air. I've also revealed a few more ascension perks so those with aspects have ideas of what to be looking forward to in the future.
Please note the rahkshi taboo is undergoing a final revision after some very good feedback from @Kal the Guardian regarding contradictions in the taboo. Once those issues have been address I'll update that taboo to reflect the latest version.
Just so everyone knows, there's a lot I'm responding to so if I miss something please let me know. This is what my next post will include:

Some posts, and a quick update to the Kraata Taboo. Please consider your self tagged for the post. I got a few more responses to finish up before everything has been taken care of in-game. Thanks for your continued patience everyone <3
BIG NEWS
Vezok's Friend and I have both put our heads together and agreed a third GM is needed. In fact, it's been something we've considered for a while. We've made our choice, and we've considered everyone's feedback on the subject from the last survey.
Please join us in welcoming Eyru to the team. We're excited to have him along for the ride. He'll be jumping into the hot seat for a little while as he gets up to speed in GMing duties, and then he'll be just like Vezok's Friend and myself within a week or two. I'm excited to have a third GM working on puzzle design... especially with SK3 right around the corner.
Hey folks! It's way past the time for a new survey. Click the link, do the thing, get hype for survey season!! We're going to leave this survey open for a few days like usual to allow folks to get some time to respond. Hopefully this won't be as much of an absolute UNIT as the mid-game survey. Love you all <3
