IC: Vrina

Vrina looked over at Colx and nodded

"Well i am glad your able to stay in contact at least."

IC: Colx (Le-Koro Tavern)

"You don't have the same luxury?" Colx asked

IC: (Seria)

Seria was probably half way to the city if she traced her steps right. She needed to get to the Koro fast. If not, she may die from either starvation or dehydration. So she ran to the village to save herself.

IC: Cadias

Cadias sat with his back against a tree, not far from the elevators leading to Le-Koro. With only a few widgets left, he'd decided to leave that day. A bag of dried fruit and bottle of water sat next to him, untouched. He didn't really feel hungry- leaving without knowing what had happened to Vrana or Seria didn't sit well with him.

Just as he stood up, mentally telling himself that he couldn't afford to stay at Le-Koro any longer, he glimpsed a blue figure running through the trees toward the village. Could it be... no... It is! For the first time that in what felt like an eternity, Cadias grinned. "Seria! Is that you?"

As she got closer, Cadias' grin faded and then became a frown. Seria didn't look so good. "Are... are you OK? Mata Nui, it looks like you've been out there for weeks!" Scooping up the fruit and bottle of water, he ran up to her. "Have some food."

IC:

She began to consume the fruit and water like there was no tomorrow.

"Thank the Great Spirit you are still here. I couldn't find our friend."

She continued to consume the liquid and fruit.

"I hope he didn't perish in the jungle."

IC- Verak - The Invincible

I fell to the deck, rubbing my arm and immediately beginning to pull and try to loosen the rope tied around it. “Thank ye, brother. I suppose I’m off to do whatever it is I’m supposed to do.” I smiled again, then spun on my heel and left Serya (that’s his name, right?) the Skakdi Sailor and Sparkles the Currently Tied Up to whatever it is they liked to do.

IC: Cadias

"Only just. I was going to leave later today. I'm out of widgets." Cadias looked toward the jungle for a moment, then shook his head. "Vrana? He should be fine. It's not the first time he's had to survive alone. He has an.... interesting past."

Cadias watched Seria wolf down the dried fruit. "Looks like you haven't eaten in a while. You should probably rest in the village for a few days... have you been out there searching this whole time?"

IC: Vrina

Vrina shrugged lightly

"Well don't have any allies to stay in contact with."

Plenty of enemies who would love to kill me but no allies.

IC:

"Heh... no prob," I said hesitantly, having completely given up on any semblance of my typical Plagia bravura. "Hope we helped..."

Another few moments of awkward, warm, shy-smile silence passed, and Kehuri seemed to notice something peculiar.

"I haven't seen Atox."

"Um, yeah... no one's seen Atox," I replied, unconsciously glancing around as if the mysterious Le-Toa was going to pull a Bloody Mary on us, and crawl out of the woodwork at the sound of his name, "He's... around somewhere."

"Probably."

-Void

IC:

"Yeah. Sometimes I had to keep my eyes open and keep watch out in the night."

She then finished the fruit and water, and stood up right.

"Maybe. Let's try and find some place to stay for a while, while I muster back my strength."

IC: Cadias

"Alright. You wouldn't happen to have any money, would you? I'm almost completely out." Despite his best efforts, it was easy to tell that Cadias was embarrassed. I knew I should have found some work while I was here....

IC:

"I think I got a couple hundred or 50 on me."

She took out her widgets and held them out.

"Don't beat yourself up for barely not having any. Right now, let us just focus on a place to stay.

IC:

Betravo walked out the bar, and began to head for the nearest elevator.

"Maybe I'll go visit a different Koro."

IC: Colx (Le-Koro Tavern)

"How so?" Colx asked "did your mercenerary dealings push them away or get them killed? That's what left me friendless until I met Helios and Melna"

IC (Jin)

Aaaand we're here.

The Gukko landed smoothly enough, and I was off that bird faster than you can say Le-Koro pilots are insane and shouldn't be allowed to drive anything. I threw a handful of widgets at the guy and walked away, trying my best to keep my stomach inside my body where it belonged.

Anyway, here I was. Pala-Koro.

And right on cue, there she was: a guard coming to question me, find out about my totally pure and noble intentions, and escort me to Kethrye. Woo-hoo. I was just hoping I wouldn't toss my cookies all over her.

IC (Avya)

Let me get this straight: the ILF is not what I thought it'd be.

For one thing, especially over the last three months, it's been more construction work than actual island liberating (and I know Makuta's dead now, give me a break), and when I'm not playing with bricks and mortar I've had to watch Kethrye muddle around as he goes on wild-goose chases like they're going out of style.

Guard duty was boring, but at least I felt like I was doing something.

First arrival of the day: a Vortixx who was looking a little green around the gills. She stumbled off a bird and made her way over to me. I kept a hand on the hilt of my sword, which I had hanging from my belt, not trying to be threatening, just letting her know what the deal was.

"Welcome to Pala-Koro," I said. "I'm Avya. Can I have your name and your business here?"

"Xaro," she replied. "I want to join the ILF."

I blinked. That wasn't really a regular request around here, not anymore. Makuta's fall had sort of fulfilled the ILF's main objective, so we weren't really attracting members like we'd used to. You need a purpose to rally behind, and all that.

But, hey, it wasn't like this my decision. I'd send her on to someone else. Let Alfon or Kethrye get a look at her.

"Alright," I said, stepping aside to let her by. "I'm not sure where he is right now, but go into the village and ask for Kethrye."

"Thanks," she said with a smile, and walked past me, into Pala-Koro.

I sighed. Back to guard duty. Or welcoming committee. Whichever you preferred.

IC: Vrina

Vrina shook her head softly

"Well more like i never took the time to try and make any allies."

IC: Colx (Le-Koro Tavern)

Colx nodded understandably

"Being a Mercenary is a risky business" he said "that's why I retired"

"Why not take up sculpting again, it's clear you still have the talent"

IC: Vrina

Vrina brough a hand to scratch at her chin

"Well it is so hard finding people in need of a sculptor. although perhaps a builder may be a better option for crystal is more sturdy than stone. But i also do not like being stuck in one place at a time."

IC: Colx (Le-Koro Tavern)

"How does that old saying go again?" Colx trailed off, stroking his imposing chin, before his face suddenly lit up

"Those who can't do, teach?" he said with a nod "that's why I'm running a gym now, I don't go out looking for challenge anymore, but I can still teach others a thing or two aobut combat"

IC: Vrina

Vrina grinned a bit

"And how do i teach one to control the crystal?"

And how easy it is to hide the fact i am an assassin.

IC: Colx (Le-Koro Tavern)

"You Toa and your fancy powers"

Colx scoffed lightly, and met Vrina's stare with his own.

"I don't think I've ever used mine, haven't given it much thought, to be honest. Nah, all I need is my weapons and my X-Ray Vision"

Colx's gaze lowered slightly, and he grinned.

IC: Vrina

Vrina noticed his gaze and smirked lightly

"Well X-ray vision would prove quite interesting. Especially given my mask power. But tell me do you see anything you like?"

IC: Colx (Le-Koro Tavern)

"I probably would if I did have X-Ray vision" Colx replied with a hearty chuckle "I actually have Impact Vision"

As a demonstration, Colx threw his empty cup into the air, then glared at it. The cup was thrown out a nearby window by an invisible blast of force, and crushed against the wooden floor outside

"I kind of wish for the former right now, though" he said as his gaze diverted back to Vrina again.

OOC: and now i'm just plain going third person

 

IC: Tueris (Bar, Le-Koro)"If I'm a four by your standards, then I'd say that's where you stand too," Tueris smirked. "Come on, let's go sit down, you need to bring me up to speed on everything you've done since I last saw you."

IC: Ekko

"Oh, do I now?" I replied, arms crossed, eyebrow raised, and quite unmoving from the spot where I stood. Maybe I was pushing it, but come on, this is the most fun I'd had in ages.

IC: Naru

The Toa of Plasma gave Kehuri a smile, before extracting her hand from his. "I'll be... right back," She told them, starting to make her way towards the hut that had served as a home in this little village by the lake.

IC: Tueris (Bar, Le-Koro)

"If you come over and bring me up to speed, drinks are on me," Tueris offered up. Hopefully that would be enough.

IC: Cadias

"Uh.... right. Thanks." Seria had managed to catch Cadias off-guard with her last sentence. I guess she's right. I should focus on the task at hand.

"Well, an inn would be good. With any luck, the locals will be able to direct us to a decent one."

IC: Kehuri

"Alright then." The Toa of Earth quickly grasped for another conversation topic to kill any possible awkward silences.

"I thought Kethrye was going to pay Le-Koro's Akiri a visit." Wasn't exactly a question, but it spoke for itself, like his observation of Atox' absence. Speaking too much had brought him embarrassment many times in the past, so he'd put practice into saving his breath where possible.

IC: (Mons Shajs/Invincible/Le-Wahi Seas)

"Woah, sailor, c'mon back 'ere," Shajs said. "I need ta teach ya some knots and such. Cap'n says so."

IC: Vrina

Vrina laughed slowly as she heard this and merely watched the cup be impacted with a interested look

"Well impact vision seems like it is an amazing power none the less. Far better than my kanohi power."

IC:

Heh, Kehuri certainly got perceptive since last we met. Gotta make a note of that.

"Eh, I think he just sent one of the deputies over to him, in the end," I replied, shrugging.

"Naw, I dunno -- maybe heading over to Le-Koro would've just been too much work for us, or something. And we an't have that, now can we..."

IC: Colx (Le-Koro Tavern)

"And what might that be?" Colx asked with interest

IC: Vrina

Vrina looked at Colx and leaned forward a bit. She places her right hand on the side of her mask and spoke softly and quietly

"My mask power is image distortion."

IC: Colx (Le-Koro Tavern)

"Image Distortion, eh? Sound like one of those especially trippy powers, like those Illusion masks I saw back in the day" Colx said "whatever happened to those anyway"

"You going to give me a demonstration, too?" he asked, and raised his eyebrow slyly

IC:Vrina

Vrina looked around a bit for an item

"Perhaps if i had a good item to test it on."

She looks around a bit and grabs the small mini-colx statue and looks at it

"Ready?"

IC: Colx (Le-Koro Tavern)

"Hit, it maistro" Colx called out

IC: Vrina

Vrina concentrated for a few long moments and suddenly the small mini-colx became all blurry and one could not even identify what it was before. This lasted for like three minutes before it returned to normal and the distortion went away

"Well that was it."

OOC: That is actually my first time using my mask icly

IC: Colx (Le-Koro Tavern)

"Misdirection, eh? Powerful tool in a fight" Colx said with a nod of approval.

"I'm more in the department of hitting stuff hard enough to topple it, but I got a trick or two myself"

IC: Vrina

Vrina quirked her head to the side

"Oh? What kind of tricks may i ask?"

IC: Colx (Le-Koro Tavern)

"Now, should I really go around revealing my secrets to anyone who asks, no matter how easy they are on the eyes" Colx said and leaned forward, locking eyes with Vrina

"It's not good for business to let the student surpass the teacher"

"Besides" he continued "I bet you still have a few trick of your own, sweetheart"

IC:As the Teal Musician went down the elevator, he saw two Toa in front of him. One was fit as a fiddle, but the other was ill. He came up to them and asked, "Is everything alright?"

OOC: That would be Seria and Cadias

IC: Kehuri

The Toa of Earth threw her a mocking smile, "That would explain the state of this place."
